This paper deals with the computation of optimal feedback control laws for a nonlinear stochastic third-order system in which the nonlinear element is not completely specified. It is shown that, due to the structure of the system, the optimal feedback control law, whenever it exists, is not unique. Also, it is shown that, in order to implement an optimal feedback control law, a nonlinear partial differential equation has to be solved. A finite-difference algorithm for the solution of this equation is suggested, and its efficiency and applicability are demonstrated with examples.  相似文献

This paper considers an infinite-time optimal damping control problem for a class of nonlinear systems with sinusoidal disturbances. A successive approximation approach (SAA) is applied to design feedforward and feedback optimal controllers. By using the SAA, the original optimal control problem is transformed into a sequence of nonhomogeneous linear two-point boundary value (TPBV) problems. The existence and uniqueness of the optimal control law are proved. The optimal control law is derived from a Riccati equation, matrix equations and an adjoint vector sequence, which consists of accurate linear feedforward and feedback terms and a nonlinear compensation term. And the nonlinear compensation term is the limit of the adjoint vector sequence. By using a finite term of the adjoint vector sequence, we can get an approximate optimal control law. A numerical example shows that the algorithm is effective and robust with respect to sinusoidal disturbances.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with necessary conditions for a general optimal control problem developed by Russak and Tan. It is shown that, in most cases, a further relation between the multipliers holds. The optimal tracking control (OTC) problem for a class of affine nonlinear composite systems with similar structure is considered. By using a modeling technique, the nonlinear similar composite system is first transformed into some quasi-decoupled subsystems. Then the high-order, strongly coupled, nonlinear two-point boundary value (TPBV) problem is transformed into a sequence of linear decoupled TPBV problems through a successive approximation procedure. The obtained OTC law consists of an accurate linear term and a nonlinear compensation term which is the limit of the adjoint vector sequence. A suboptimal tracking control law is obtained by truncating a finite iterative result of the adjoint vector sequence as its nonlinear compensation term.  相似文献

The optimal control of linear time-varying systems with quadratic cost functional is obtained by Fourier series approximation. The properties of Fourier series are first briefly presented and the operational matrix of backward integration together with the product operational matrix are utilized to reduce the optimal control problem to a set of simultaneous linear algebraic equations. In this paper, the Lie symmetry analysis is performed on the fifth-order KdV types of equations which arise in modeling many physical phenomena. In this paper, a robust receding horizon control for multirate sampled-data nonlinear systems with bounded disturbances is presented. The proposed receding horizon control is based on the solution of Bolza-type optimal control problems for the approximate discrete-time model of the nominal system. “Low measurement rate” is assumed. It is shown that the multistep receding horizon controller that stabilizes the nominal approximate discrete-time model also practically input-to-state stabilizes the exact discrete-time system with disturbances.  相似文献

The solutions of most nonlinear optimal control problems are given in the form of open-loop optimal control which is computed from a given fixed initial condition. Optimal feedback control can in principle be obtained by solving the corresponding Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman dynamic programming equation, though in general this is a difficult task. We propose a practical and effective alternative for constructing an approximate optimal feedback controller in the form of a feedforward neural network, and we justify this choice by several reasons. The controller is capable of approximately minimizing an arbitrary performance index for a nonlinear dynamical system for initial conditions arising from a nontrivial bounded subset of the state space. Power-series methods are developed for designing approximately optimal state regulators for a nonlinear system subject to white Gaussian random disturbances. The performance index of the control is an ensemble average of a quadratic form. A perfect observation of the system state is assumed. When the system nonlinearity is small and it is characterized by a polynomial function of the state, a definite method is presented to construct a suboptimal feedback control of a power-series form in a small nonlinearity parameter. If the variance of noise is small, an alternative method is also applicable which yields a suboptimal control in a power series with respect to a variance parameter. A simple one-dimensional problem is examined to make comparison between controls of the two different forms.  相似文献

In this paper, we have derived the distribution of the minimum and maximum of two independent Poisson random variables. A useful procedure for computing the probabilities is given and a total of four numerical examples are presented. Of these four examples, the first two are on the generated data and the other two are on the Champion League Soccer data in order to illustrate the model which is considered here. The hazard rate and the reversed hazard rate, of the minimum and maximum of two independent discrete random variables, are also obtained and their monotonicity is investigated. The results for the Poisson-distributed variables are obtained as special cases.  相似文献

In this paper, the complete group classifications are performed on the types of Thomas equations (TEs), which arise in the study of chemical exchange progress, etc., all of the vector fields of the equations are presented. Then, the optimal system of the general Thomas equation is given, and all of the symmetry reductions and exact solutions generated from the optimal system are investigated. Furthermore, the exact analytic solutions to the Thomas equations are obtained by the generalized power series method.  相似文献

Existence theorems are stated and proved for optimal control problems monitored by a nonlinear Volterra-type integral equation. Growth conditions are taken into consideration which ensure the needed compactness on the set of trajectories and entail the existence of the usual optimal solutions for the given problem. Runge-Kutta methods are formulated via coordinate independent operations on manifolds. It is shown that there is an intimate connection between Lie series and Lie groups on one hand and Butcher's celebrated theory of order conditions on the other. In Butcher's theory the elementary differentials are represented as trees. In the present formulation they appear as commutators between vector fields. This leads to a theory for the order conditions, which can be developed in a completely coordinate free manner. Although this theory is developed in a language that is not widely used in applied mathematics, it is structurally simple. The recursion for the order conditions rests mainly on three lemmas, each with very short proofs. The techniques used in the analysis are prepared for studying RK-like methods on general Lie groups and homogeneous manifolds, but these themes are not studied in detail within the present paper.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the statistical estimation of the Gerber–Shiu function in the compound Poisson risk model perturbed by diffusion. This problem has been solved in [32] by the Fourier–Sinc series expansion method. Different from [32], we use the Laguerre series to expand the Gerber–Shiu function and propose a relevant estimator. The estimator is easily computed and has fast convergence rate. Various simulation studies are presented to confirm that the estimator performs well when the sample size is finite.  相似文献

Closed-from solutions are derived for a class of tracking problems including a linear optimal regulator and a prefilter for a time-invariant plant. The solutions for the prefilter equation and state trajectory, coupled by the Riccati equation, are exponentially related to the stability matrix of the plant. A computational procedure is presented in recursive form when the desired output state dynamics is assumed linear and time-invariant. Several examples are given for illustration.  相似文献

Terminal-state tracking optimal control problems for linear parabolic equations are studied in this paper. The control objectives are to track a desired terminal state and the control is of the distributed type. Explicit solution formulae for the optimal control problems are derived in the form of eigen series. Pointwise-in-time L2 norm estimates for the optimal solutions are obtained and approximate controllability results are established. Exact controllability is shown when the target state vanishes on the boundary of the spatial domain. One-dimensional computational results are presented which illustrate the terminal-state tracking properties for the solutions expressed by the series formulae.  相似文献

This paper deals with an inverse problem of identifying a nonlinear source term g=g(u) in the heat equation ut-uxx=a(x)g(u). By data compatibility analysis, the forward problem is proved to have a unique positive solution with a maximum of M>0, with which an optimal perturbation algorithm is applied to determine the source function g(u) on u∈[0,M]. Numerical inversions are carried out for g(u) with functional forms of polynomial, trigonometric and index functions. The inversion reconstruction sources basically coincide with the true source solution showing that the optimal perturbation algorithm is efficient to the inverse source problem here. By the computations we find that the inversion results are better for polynomial sources than those of trigonometric and index sources. The inversion algorithm seems to be very sharp if the solution’s maximum M of the forward problem is relatively small; otherwise, the deviations in the source solutions become large especially near the endpoint of u=M.  相似文献
