Introduce the notation: $\mathbb{Z}$ is the set of integers, $\bar {\mathbb{Z}}={\mathbb{Z}} \cup \{-\infty, +\infty\},{\mathbb{R}}_+^2 =\{x=(x_1,x_2) \in {\mathbb{R}}^2; x_1>0,x_2>0\}$ , $g_{k,m} (x,\alpha,h)= \int\limits_0^1 {g_1 (\frac{(k+u)h_1 - x_1}{\alpha_1})g_2(\frac{(m+u)h_2 - x_2}{\alpha_2})}du$ , where $g_i :\mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R},x \in \mathbb{R}^2 ,\alpha ,h \in \mathbb{R}_ + ^2 $ . Under certain conditions on the functions g 1, g 2, we prove that the system of functions $g_{k,m} (x,\alpha^(n), h^(n)) (k,m \in \bar {\mathbb{Z}})$ , where $\alpha ^{\left( n \right)} ,h^{\left( n \right)} \in \mathbb{R}_ + ^2 $ are arbitrary infinitesimal sequences, is complete in the space C $\mathbb{R}^2 $ of uniformly continuous bounded functions f equipped with the norm $||f|| = \mathop {\sup }\limits_{x \in \mathbb{R}^2 } |f(x)|$ . Starting with the functions g k,m , it is possible to construct a method for uniform approximating in $\mathbb{R}^2 $ any continuous function of bounded variation in the sense of Hardy. An error estimate is derived in terms of the second order moduli of continuity. Based on the obtained results, we discuss in detail the accuracy of uniform approximation of functions of several variables by linear functions. The error estimates are derived by using second order moduli of continuity. We pay a particular attention to sharpness of constants. Bibliography: 8 titles.  相似文献

Let ρ=P(12)/P(12|13), where P(ij) is the probability that i precedes j in a randomly chosen linear extension of a partially ordered set ({1,2,...,n}, ≤) in which points 1, 2 and 3 are mutually incomparable. A previous paper by the author (Order 1, 127 (1984)) proved that ρ≤1. The present paper considers the maximization of ρ for each n≥3. It shows that, with \(\alpha _n = \left\lfloor {(n + 3)/2} \right\rfloor \) , the maximum ρ is at least $$\left[ {\alpha _n \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} n \\ {\alpha _n } \\ \end{array} } \right) - n} \right]/\left[ {\alpha _n \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} n \\ {\alpha _n } \\ \end{array} } \right) - \alpha _n } \right]$$ . Evidence that this value cannot be exceeded is given. It is also proved that the smallest possible value of P(231)+P(321) is $$1/\left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} n \\ {\left\lfloor {\left( {n + 1} \right)/2} \right\rfloor } \\ \end{array} } \right)$$ .  相似文献

Linear recurring sequences over finite fields play an important role in coding theory and cryptography. It is known that subfield subcodes of linear codes yield some good codes. In this paper, we study linear recurring sequences and subfield subcodes. Let Mqm(f(x)) denote the set of all linear recurring sequences over Fqm with characteristic polynomial f(x) over Fqm . Denote the restriction of Mqm(f(x)) to sequences over Fq and the set after applying trace function to each sequence in Mqm(f(x)) by Mqm(f(x)) | Fq and Tr( Mqm(f(x))), respectively. It is shown that these two sets are both complete sets of linear recurring sequences over Fq with some characteristic polynomials over Fq. In this paper, we firstly determine the characteristic polynomials for these two sets. Then, using these results, we determine the generator polynomials of subfield subcodes and trace codes of cyclic codes over Fqm .  相似文献

General results were presented in [2] and [3] concerning arithmetic properties of the values at algebraic points of a class of analytic functions satisfying linear differential equations. In the present note we consider the application of these results to the set of functions $$\begin{gathered} ^f (\alpha _k z) = \sum\nolimits_{n = 0}^\infty {\frac{{ \mu (\mu + 1)... (\mu + n - 1) }}{{\lambda (\lambda + 1)... (\lambda + n - 1)}}} (\alpha _k z)^n (k = 1,2,...,m,) \hfill \\ \lambda \ne 0, - 1, - 2,...), \hfill \\ \end{gathered}$$ where α1, ..., αm are algebraic numbers; λ and μ are rational numbers; and the functions satisfy a system of linear differential equations.  相似文献

With each sequence \(\alpha =(\alpha _n)_{n\in \mathbb{N }}\) of pairwise distinct and non-zero points which are such that the canonical product $$\begin{aligned} P_\alpha (z) := \lim _{r\rightarrow \infty }\prod _{|\alpha _n|\le r}\left( 1-\frac{z}{\alpha _n}\right) \end{aligned}$$ converges, the sequence $$\begin{aligned} \alpha ^{\prime } := \bigl (P_\alpha ^{\prime }(\alpha _n)\bigr )_{n\in \mathbb{N }} \end{aligned}$$ is associated. We give conditions on the difference \(\beta -\alpha \) of two sequences which ensure that \(\beta ^{\prime }\) and \(\alpha ^{\prime }\) are comparable in the sense that $$\begin{aligned} \exists \,c,C>0:\quad c|\alpha ^{\prime }_n| \le |\beta ^{\prime }_n| \le C|\alpha ^{\prime }_n|, \quad n\in \mathbb{N }. \end{aligned}$$ The values \(\alpha ^{\prime }_n\) play an important role in various contexts. As a selection of applications we present: an inverse spectral problem, a class of entire functions and a continuation problem.  相似文献

For a linear differential equation of the type (1) $$\frac{{dx}}{{dt}} = A_0 x(t) + A_1 x(t - \Delta _1 ) + ... + A_n x(t - \Delta _n )$$ we establish the followingTHEOREM. If $$\overline {\left| {z_1 } \right| = ...\underline{\underline \cup } \left| z \right|_n = 1\sigma \left( {A_0 + \sum\nolimits_{k = 1}^n {z_k A_k } } \right)} \subset \left\{ {\lambda :\operatorname{Re} \lambda< 0} \right\}$$ then system (1) is absolutely asymptotically stable.  相似文献

It is conjectured that the set ${\mathcal {G}}$ of the primitive roots modulo p has no decomposition (modulo p) of the form ${\mathcal {G}= \mathcal {A} +\mathcal {B}}$ with ${|\mathcal {A}|\ge 2}$ , ${|\mathcal {B} |\ge 2}$ . This conjecture seems to be beyond reach but it is shown that if such a decomposition of ${\mathcal {G}}$ exists at all, then ${|\mathcal {A} |}$ , ${|\mathcal {B} |}$ must be around p 1/2, and then this result is applied to show that ${\mathcal {G}}$ has no decomposition of the form ${\mathcal {G} =\mathcal {A} + \mathcal {B} + \mathcal {C}}$ with ${|\mathcal {A} |\ge 2}$ , ${|\mathcal {B} |\ge 2}$ , ${|\mathcal {C} |\ge 2}$ .  相似文献

Suppose that $${g\left( n \right)}$$ is an additive real-valued function, W(N) = 4+ $$\mathop {\min }\limits_\lambda $$ ( λ2 + $$\sum\limits_{p < N} {\frac{1}{2}} $$ min (1, ( g(p) - λlog p)2), E(N) = 4+1 $$\sum\limits_{\mathop {p < N,}\limits_{g(p) \ne 0} } {\frac{1}{p}.} $$ In this paper, we prove the existence of constants C1, C2 such that the following inequalities hold: $\mathop {\sup }\limits_a \geqslant \left| {\left\{ {n, m, k: m, k \in \mathbb{Z},n \in \mathbb{N},n + m^2 + k^2 } \right.} \right. = \left. {\left. {N,{\text{ }}g(n) \in [a,a + 1)} \right\}} \right| \leqslant \frac{{C_1 N}}{{\sqrt {W\left( N \right)} }},$ $\mathop {\sup }\limits_a \geqslant \left| {\left\{ {n, m, k: m, k \in \mathbb{Z},n \in \mathbb{N},n + m^2 + k^2 } \right.} \right. = \left. {\left. {N,{\text{ }}g(n) = a} \right\}} \right| \leqslant \frac{{C_2 N}}{{\sqrt {E\left( N \right)} }},$ . The obtained estimates are order-sharp.  相似文献

We consider the following prescribed curvature problem for polyharmonic operator: $$\left\{\begin{array}{llll} D_{m} u = \tilde{K}(y)|u|^{m^*-2}u\; {\rm in}\; \mathbb{S}^N\\ u \quad\; >0\qquad\quad\quad\quad\quad{\rm on}\; \mathbb{S}^N\\ u \quad\; \in H^{m}(\mathbb{S}^N), \end{array} \right.$$ where ${m^*=\frac{2N}{N-2m}, N\geq 2m+1,m \in \mathbb{N}_{+}, \tilde{K}}$ is positive and rationally symmetric, ${\mathbb{S}^N}$ is the unit sphere with the induced Riemannian metric ${g=g_{\mathbb{S}^N},}$ and D m is the elliptic differential operator of 2m order given by $$\begin{array}{lll}D_m={\prod\limits_{k=1}^m}{\left(-\Delta_g+\frac{1}{4}(N-2k)(N+2k-2)\right)}\end{array}$$ where Δ g is the Laplace-Beltrami operator on ${\mathbb{S}^N}$ . We will show that problem (P) has infinitely many non-radial positive solutions, whose energy can be arbitrary large.  相似文献

Let qp s be a power of a prime number p and let ${\mathbb {F}_{\rm q}}$ be a finite field with q elements. This paper aims to demonstrate the utility and relation of composed products to other areas such as the factorization of cyclotomic polynomials, construction of irreducible polynomials, and linear recurrence sequences over ${\mathbb {F}_{\rm q}}$ . In particular we obtain the explicit factorization of the cyclotomic polynomial ${\Phi_{2^nr}}$ over ${\mathbb {F}_{\rm q}}$ where both r ≥ 3 and q are odd, gcd(q, r) = 1, and ${n\in \mathbb{N}}$ . Previously, only the special cases when r = 1, 3, 5, had been achieved. For this we make the assumption that the explicit factorization of ${\Phi_r}$ over ${\mathbb {F}_{\rm q}}$ is given to us as a known. Let ${n = p_1^{e_1}p_2^{e_2}\cdots p_s^{e_s}}$ be the factorization of ${n \in \mathbb{N}}$ into powers of distinct primes p i , 1 ≤ i ≤ s. In the case that the multiplicative orders of q modulo all these prime powers ${p_i^{e_i}}$ are pairwise coprime, we show how to obtain the explicit factors of ${\Phi_{n}}$ from the factors of each ${\Phi_{p_i^{e_i}}}$ . We also demonstrate how to obtain the factorization of ${\Phi_{mn}}$ from the factorization of ${\Phi_n}$ when q is a primitive root modulo m and ${{\rm gcd}(m, n) = {\rm gcd}(\phi(m),{\rm ord}_n(q)) = 1.}$ Here ${\phi}$ is the Euler’s totient function, and ord n (q) denotes the multiplicative order of q modulo n. Moreover, we present the construction of a new class of irreducible polynomials over ${\mathbb {F}_{\rm q}}$ and generalize a result due to Varshamov (Soviet Math Dokl 29:334–336, 1984).  相似文献

In this paper we consider functions \(f\) defined on an open set \(U\) of the Euclidean space \(\mathbb{R }^{n+1}\) and with values in the Clifford Algebra \(\mathbb{R }_n\) . Slice monogenic functions \(f: U \subseteq \mathbb{R }^{n+1} \rightarrow \mathbb{R }_n\) belong to the kernel of the global differential operator with non constant coefficients given by \( \mathcal{G }=|{\underline{x}}|^2\frac{\partial }{\partial x_0} \ + \ {\underline{x}} \ \sum _{j=1}^n x_j\frac{\partial }{\partial x_j}. \) Since the operator \(\mathcal{G }\) is not elliptic and there is a degeneracy in \( {\underline{x}}=0\) , its kernel contains also less smooth functions that have to be interpreted as distributions. We study the distributional solutions of the differential equation \(\mathcal{G }F(x_0,{\underline{x}})=G(x_0,{\underline{x}})\) and some of its variations. In particular, we focus our attention on the solutions of the differential equation \( ({\underline{x}}\frac{\partial }{\partial x_0} \ - E)F(x_0,{\underline{x}})=G(x_0,{\underline{x}}), \) where \(E= \sum _{j=1}^n x_j\frac{\partial }{\partial x_j}\) is the Euler operator, from which we deduce properties of the solutions of the equation \( \mathcal{G }F(x_0,{\underline{x}})=G(x_0,{\underline{x}})\) .  相似文献

We prove that $$\mathop {L_n \in Z_n }\limits^{\inf } \mathop \omega \limits^{sup^* } \mathop {f \in H_\omega }\limits^{\sup } \frac{{\left\| {f - L_n \left( f \right)} \right\|}}{{\omega \left( {\frac{\pi }{{n + 1}}} \right)}} = 1\left( {n = 0,1,2,...} \right)$$ (n=0,1,2,...), where \(\mathop {L_n \in Z_n }\limits^{\inf } \) is taken over all linear polynomial approximation methods of degree not higher than n and \(\mathop \omega \limits^{sup^* } \) over all convex moduli of continuity ω(δ).  相似文献

The functional equation $$f \left(\frac{x + y}{1 - xy}\right) = \frac{f\left(x\right) + f\left(y\right)} {1 + f\left(x\right) f\left(y\right)}, \quad xy < 1,$$ (introduced by the first author in a competition model) is considered. The main result says that a function \({f : \mathbb{R} \rightarrow \mathbb{R}}\) satisfies this equation if, and only if, \({f = {\rm tanh} \circ \, \alpha \circ {\rm tan}^{-1}}\) , where \({\alpha : \mathbb{R} \rightarrow \mathbb{R}}\) is an additive function.  相似文献

The preservation of stability under the convolution is shown to be related with the zero set of the Fourier transform of inducing stable function. For example, let φ be in the class Λ0 of all stable functions ψ such that $\widehat\psi \left( 0 \right) \ne 0{\text{ and }}\widehat\psi$ as well as $E_\psi : = \sum {\left| {\widehat\psi \left( {w + 2{\pi }k} \right)} \right|} ^2$ is continuous. Then Λ0 is preserved under the convolution by φ if and only if the zero set $Z\left( {\widehat\varphi } \right)$ is contained in 2πZ\{0}. The condition can be transformed into the zero set of the inducing mask trigonometric polynomial in the class Λ# of compactly supported refinable functions in Λ0. For example, our result shows that such φ must have its mask of the form $$m_\varphi \left( w \right) = \left( {\frac{{1 + {\text{e}}^{{\text{ - i2}}w} }}{2}} \right)^N \left( {\frac{{1 + {\text{e}}^{{\text{ - i}}w} + {\text{e}}^{{\text{ - i2}}w} }}{3}} \right)^M Q\left( w \right),$$ where integers N≥1 and M≥0, and Q(w) has no real zeros.  相似文献

We observe that, given a poset ${\left( {E,{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}} \right)}$ and a finite covering ${\user1{\mathcal{R}}} = {\user1{\mathcal{R}}}_{1} \cup \cdots \cup {\user1{\mathcal{R}}}_{n} $ of its ordering, the height of the poset does not exceed the natural product of the heights of the corresponding sub-relations: $$\mathfrak{h}{\left( {E,{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}} \right)} \leqslant \mathfrak{h}{\left( {E,{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}_{1} } \right)} \otimes \cdots \otimes \mathfrak{h}{\left( {E,{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}_{n} } \right)}.$$ Conversely for every finite sequence $(\xi_1,\cdots,\xi_n)$ of ordinals, every poset ${\left( {E,{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}} \right)}$ of height at most $\xi_1\otimes\cdots\otimes\xi_n$ admits a partition ${\left( {{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}_{1} , \cdots ,{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}_{n} } \right)}$ of its ordering ${\user1{\mathcal{R}}}$ such that each ${\left( {E,{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}_{k} } \right)}$ has height at most $\xi_k$ . In particular for every finite sequence $(\xi_1,\cdots,\xi_n)$ of ordinals, the ordinal $$\xi _{1} \underline{ \otimes } \cdots \underline{ \otimes } \xi _{n} : = \sup {\left\{ {{\left( {\xi ^{\prime }_{1} \otimes \cdots \otimes \xi ^{\prime }_{n} } \right)} + 1:\xi ^{\prime }_{1} < \xi _{1} , \cdots ,\xi ^{\prime }_{n} < \xi _{n} } \right\}}$$ is the least $\xi$ for which the following partition relation holds $$\mathfrak{H}_{\xi } \to {\left( {\mathfrak{H}_{{\xi _{1} }} , \cdots ,\mathfrak{H}_{{\xi _{n} }} } \right)}^{2} $$ meaning: for every poset ${\left( {A,{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}} \right)}$ of height at least $\xi$ and every finite covering ${\left( {{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}_{1} , \cdots ,{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}_{n} } \right)}$ of its ordering ${\user1{\mathcal{R}}}$ , there is a $k$ for which the relation ${\left( {A,{\user1{\mathcal{R}}}_{k} } \right)}$ has height at least $\xi_k$ . The proof will rely on analogue properties of vertex coverings w.r.t. the natural sum.  相似文献

Triebel (J Approx Theory 35:275–297, 1982; 52:162–203, 1988) investigated the boundary values of the harmonic functions in spaces of the Triebel–Lizorkin type ${\mathcal F^{\alpha,q}_{p}}$ on ${\mathbb{R}^{n+1}_+}$ by finding an characterization of the homogeneous Triebel–Lizorkin space ${{\bf \dot{F}}^{\alpha,q}_p}$ via its harmonic extension, where ${0 < p < \infty, 0 < q \leq \infty}$ , and ${\alpha < {\rm min}\{-n/p, -n/q\}}$ . In this article, we extend Triebel’s result to α < 0 and ${0 < p, q \leq \infty}$ by using a discrete version of reproducing formula and discretizing the norms in both ${\mathcal{F}^{\alpha,q}_{p}}$ and ${{\bf{\dot{F}}}^{\alpha,q}_p}$ . Furthermore, for α < 0 and ${1 < p,q \leq \infty}$ , the mapping from harmonic functions in ${\mathcal{F}^{\alpha,q}_{p}}$ to their boundary values forms a topological isomorphism between ${\mathcal{F}^{\alpha,q}_{p}}$ and ${{\bf \dot{F}}^{\alpha,q}_p}$ .  相似文献

Algebraic immunity has been considered as one of cryptographically significant properties for Boolean functions. In this paper, we study ∑d-1 i=0 (ni)-weight Boolean functions with algebraic immunity achiev-ing the minimum of d and n - d + 1, which is highest for the functions. We present a simpler sufficient and necessary condition for these functions to achieve highest algebraic immunity. In addition, we prove that their algebraic degrees are not less than the maximum of d and n - d + 1, and for d = n1 +2 their nonlinearities equalthe minimum of ∑d-1 i=0 (ni) and ∑ d-1 i=0 (ni). Lastly, we identify two classes of such functions, one having algebraic degree of n or n-1.  相似文献

In this paper we study the local convergence of the method $$0 \in f\left( {p,x_k } \right) + A\left( {x_{k + 1} - x_k } \right) + F\left( {x_{k + 1} } \right),$$ in order to find the solution of the generalized equation $$find x \in X such that 0 \in f\left( {p,x} \right) + F\left( x \right).$$ We first show that under the strong metric regularity of the linearization of the associated mapping and some additional assumptions regarding dependence on the parameter and the relation between the operator A and the Jacobian $\nabla _x f\left( {\bar p,\bar x} \right)$ , we prove linear convergence of the method which is uniform in the parameter p. Then we go a step further and obtain a sequential implicit function theorem describing the dependence of the set of sequences of iterates of the parameter.  相似文献

Consider the real Clifford algebra ${\mathbb{R}_{0,n}}$ generated by e 1, e 2, . . . , e n satisfying ${e_{i}e_{j} + e_{j}e_{i} = -2\delta_{ij} , i, j = 1, 2, . . . , n, e_{0}}$ is the unit element. Let ${\Omega}$ be an open set in ${\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}$ . u(x) is called an h-regular function in ${\Omega}$ if $$D_{x}u(x) + \widehat{u}(x)h = 0, \quad\quad (0.1)$$ where ${D_x = \sum\limits_{i=0}^{n} e_{i}\partial_{xi}}$ is the Dirac operator in ${\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}$ , and ${\widehat{u}(x) = \sum \limits_{A} (-1)^{\#A}u_{A}(x)e_{A}, \#A}$ denotes the cardinality of A and ${h = \sum\limits_{k=0}^{n} h_{k}e_{k}}$ is a constant paravector. In this paper, we mainly consider the Hilbert boundary value problem (BVP) for h-regular functions in ${\mathbb{R}_{+}^{n+1}}$ .  相似文献
