The resolution limits of conventional optical lithography reflect the low-pass spatial-frequency [numerical aperture (NA) /lambda] filter characteristics of the imaging system. Imaging interferometric lithography extends the resolution of optical lithography to the spatial-frequency limits of optics (2/lambda) . Off-axis illumination downshifts the high-frequency components of the mask pattern. An interferometric beam at the wafer upshifts these frequency components back to their original spatial frequencies following the lens. 2x reduction imaging interferometric lithography experiments demonstrate a continuous frequency coverage up to ~3N.A./lambda with a consequent threefold resolution enhancement.  相似文献

We present a new technique that produces en face tomographic images with a 10-micros acquisition time per image. The setup consists of an interference microscope with stroboscopic illumination provided by a xenon arc flash lamp (10-micros flashes at 15 Hz). The tomographic images are obtained from two phase-opposed interferometric images recorded simultaneously by two synchronized CCD cameras. Transverse resolution better than 1.0 microm is achieved by use of high-numerical-aperture microscope objectives. The short coherence length of the source yields an axial resolution of 0.9 microm. 3 x 3 pixel binning leads to a detection sensitivity of 71 dB. Our system is suitable for various applications, particularly in biology for in vivo cellular-level imaging.  相似文献

We describe a heterodyne Mach-Zehnder interferometric microscope capable of quantitative phase imaging of biological samples with subnanometer sensitivity and frame rates up to 10 kHz. We use the microscope to image cultured neurons and measure nanometer-scale voltage-dependent motions in cells expressing the membrane motor protein prestin.  相似文献

We describe a new interferometric configuration for optical coherence tomography that is based on the Mirau interferometer. It uses the photodetector included in a superluminescent diode package, which makes possible a highly miniaturized device. Other advantages of the configuration include its totally coaxial structure, confocal microscope operation, availability of the full working distance of the imaging objective, and no central obscuration. Fundamental characteristics such as resolution and dynamic range are discussed, and the result of measurement on a rough metallic surface is presented.  相似文献

We present an experimental setup useful for complex amplitude evaluation and phase image quantification of three-dimensional (3-D) samples in digital holographic microscopy (DHM). It is based on a common-path interferometric configuration performed by dividing the input plane in two contiguous regions and by placing a translation grating near to the Fourier plane. Then, complex amplitude distribution of the sample under test is recovered with phase-shifting standard method obtained by moving the grating using a linear motion stage. Some experimental results of an USAF resolution test are presented for different numerical aperture (NA) microscope lenses. In a second part, the proposed setup is tested under superresolution purposes. Based on the object’s spectrum shift produced by off-axis illumination, we use time multiplexing to generate a synthetic aperture enlargement that improves the final image resolution. Experimental results for the case of a biosample (human red blood cells) and a commercial low NA microscope lens validates the suggested superresolution approach.  相似文献

We present a polarization-sensitive full-field optical coherence tomography system that can produce high-resolution images of the linear retardance and reflectivity properties of biological media. En face images can be delivered at a frame rate of 3.5 Hz by combination of interferometric images acquired by two CCD cameras in an interference microscope illuminated with a tungsten halogen lamp. Isotropic spatial resolution of approximately 1.0 microm is achieved. The technique is demonstrated on ex vivo muscle tissues.  相似文献

The first demonstration, to the best of our knowledge, of electro-optical microscopy is presented and applied to a polymer-based optical device. A confocal transmission microscope with interferometric homodyne detection is implemented to measure Pockels phase shifts with micrometric spatial resolution and an accuracy level down to 4 x 10(-7) rad. This technique is applied to poled polymer films in which noncentrosymmetric molecular orientation is preliminarily achieved in the sample plane between transverse planar electrodes. The electro-optic mapping of this structure exhibits nonuniform and asymmetric patterns of the nonlinear response that are characteristic of the poling spatial inhomogeneity as confirmed by second-harmonic generation microscopy.  相似文献

We have studied the coherent dynamics of a semiconductor microcavity by means of interferometric correlation measurements with subpicosecond time resolution in a backscattering geometry. Evidence is brought of the resolution of a homogeneous polariton line in an inhomogeneously broadened exciton system. Surprisingly, photon-like polaritons exhibit an inhomogeneous dephasing. Moreover, we observe an unexpected stationary coherence up to 8 ps for the lower polariton branch close to resonance. All these experimental results are well reproduced within the framework of a linear dispersion theory assuming a coherent superposition of the reflectivity and resonant Rayleigh scattering signals with a well-defined relative phase.  相似文献

像面干涉高光谱成像技术主要应用于遥感成像领域,为了实现不同距离目标的光谱成像探测,提出了一种基于二次成像的像面干涉高光谱成像方法。通过在无限远成像系统中加入前端成像物镜、中继准直物镜和横向剪切分束器,构建一个二次成像的干涉系统。通过采用分离式的前端成像物镜方案,选用变焦镜头或不同焦距的定焦镜头,有效地兼顾远、近距离目标的成像光谱探测。对该方法的成像系统、光谱分辨率和推扫方式等方面进行了分析,进一步搭建了实验装置,对室内近场目标和室外远场目标进行了成像实验,并对生物组织进行了显微光谱干涉成像实验。实验结果表明,该成像方法能够有效用于不同距离目标的高光谱成像探测。  相似文献

A novel speckle interferometric method has been developed to measure lengths and displacements over a distance of 100 μm with a resolution less than 1 nm using rough surfaces as movable targets instead of using conventional cube corners or mirrors. The speckle method is able to use Michelson and new configurations to combine the two scattered beams or fields from rough movable and stationary reference targets. The targets can be attached and can be produced directly onto movable actuator type of mechanisms. The phase information is extracted from the randomly modulated signals by employing an apertured disc system or an alternative optical fibre arrangement. This method exploits the concept of using narrow angle scatterers for economical use of laser light, enhanced reliability and modulation criteria. A prototype low-mass interferometric displacement sensor has been constructed to provide a compact and a flexible system. Apart from the measurement of changes in displacements in force and pressure measuring devices, it can also be used for the assessment of small range scanning probes, stylus profilers and in medical field the measurement of elastic properties of ear drums, etc. The sub-nanometre resolution and displacement values are repeatable to within ±1 nm can be demonstrated over distances of up to 2 mm by employing appropriate actuators and translation devices. The performance has been confirmed by comparison work against a conventional interferometric transducer.  相似文献

A new method to improve the resolution of optical imaging systems beyond the classical Rayleigh resolution limit is presented. The technique relies on synthetic aperture generation in three stages. The first one (encoding stage) uses an illumination procedure that combines both on-axis and off-axis illumination beams with different polarization states onto the object. After the imaging system, a second stage (decoding stage) allows the recovering of the encoded spatial-frequency object information by means of an interferometric configuration based on the polarization coding carried out in the previous stage. Finally, a third stage (digital post-processing stage) is used to generate a synthetic aperture that is three times larger than the conventional aperture of the imaging system. The whole process allows us to obtain a superresolved image of the object. Experimental implementation of the approach for a commercial microscope objective is presented.  相似文献

A laser-based selective plane illumination microscope is developed for the visualization of polystyrene nanospheres about 100 nm in diameter in water at a distance more than 600 μm from microcell walls. The contrast and brightness of particle images are high enough to record them by a video camera with a frame rate of up to 60 frames per second without using an image intensifier. The diffusion coefficients of monodisperse polystyrene nanospheres obtained using this microscope and the image processing software developed by the authors are presented. The measured diffusion coefficients provide the possibility to determine nanosphere diameters with a relative error not exceeding 5%.  相似文献

We demonstrate simultaneous measurement of the real and the imaginary parts of third-order susceptibilities by use of a collinear pump-probe technique. This technique allows for good results and simple implementation. The signal analysis is based on the particular oscillatory signature versus the pump-probe delay allowed by the collinear configuration. The crucial step in computer aided evaluation of interferometric fringe patterns is the determination of the interference phase distribution from the recorded and stored intensity pattern. Methods for determination of the interference phase distributions from fringe patterns are presented and the most important methods, which are skeletonising, temporary heterodyning, phase shifting and Fourier transform evaluation are compared with regard to experimental requirements, achievable resolution and precision, as well as inherent noise suppression and image enhancement. The comparison shows that whenever phase shifting is possible, it is the best choice. If only one interference pattern is offered, Fourier transform evaluation is recommendable. For demodulation of the wrapped phase a path-independent algorithm is presented. Practical examples are given from holographic interferometric measurements.  相似文献

介绍了量子干涉雷达物理模型及其探测原理,并采用耗散-涨落通道处理量子光场在湍流大气中的传输,从经典湍流统计理论推导得到大气透射率的概率密度分布函数P(T),以此为基础系统分析了大气闪烁效应对纠缠相干态量子干涉雷达的影响机理,深入讨论了平均大气透射率、闪烁指数等大气参数对系统目标探测性能的影响.研究发现:低损耗情况下系统灵敏度及分辨率性能随闪烁指数的增加而降低;高损耗情况下大气闪烁则能显著提高系统灵敏度和分辨率性能,且界定高低损耗的透射率临界点随脉冲光子数增加而增加,故大气闪烁能够在一定程度上克服大气损耗造成的不良影响.  相似文献
