The existence of solutions of periodic boundary value problems for second order impulsive integro-differential equations of Volterra type is investigated. By using the method of upper and lower solutions, it is proved that the problem in whi h impulses occur at fixed times has a solution. In this letter, a new numerical method is proposed for solving second order linear singularly perturbed boundary value problems with left layers. Firstly a piecewise reproducing kernel method is proposed for second order linear singularly perturbed initial value problems. By combining the method and the shooting method, an effective numerical method is then proposed for solving second order linear singularly perturbed boundary value problems. Two numerical examples are used to show the effectiveness of the present method.  相似文献

This paper continues the development of disconjugacy of higher order dynamic equations on time scales. Two-point conjugate type boundary value problems for general disconjugate dynamic equations on time scales are studied and the sign properties of associated Green's functions are established. As expected, the results unify known results from the theories of ordinary differential equations and finite difference equations.  相似文献

The existence and multiplicity of positive solutions are established to periodic boundary value problems for singular nonlinear second order ordinary differential equations. The arguments are based only upon the positivity of the Green's functions and the Krasnosel'skii fixed point theorem. As an example, a periodic boundary value problem is also considered which comes from the theory of nonlinear elasticity.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate boundary value problems for first order impulsive differential-algebraic problems with causal operators. Note that a corresponding boundary condition is given by a nonlinear function. Using a monotone iterative method we formulate general sufficient conditions under which such problems have solutions (extremal or a unique). An example shows that corresponding assumptions are satisfied. The results are new.  相似文献

该文利用边界无法对二维瞬时传热和相变问题进行求解。采用空间二次曲线单元对边界进行离散化,并采用时间相关基本解正确处理了相应边界积分。计算表明该文数值格式稳定,结果与已有文献相比较吻合一致,且该文模式时段可放大,从而提高了计算效能和稳定性。  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the solution of boundary value problems on polygonal domains for elliptic partial differential equations. Previously, we observed that when the boundary value problems are formulated as boundary integral equations of classical potential theory, the solutions are representable by series of elementary functions, to arbitrary order, for all but finitely many values of the angles. Here, we extend this observation to all values of the angles. We show that the solutions near corners are representable, to arbitrary order, by linear combinations of certain non-integer powers and non-integer powers multiplied by logarithms.  相似文献

An innovative technique is developed for obtaining infinite product representations for some elementary functions. The technique is based on the comparison of alternative expressions of Green's functions constructed by two different methods. Some standard boundary value problems are considered posed for two-dimensional Laplace equation on regions of a regular configuration. Classical closed analytic form of Green's functions for such problems are compared against those obtained by the method of images in the form of infinite products. This yields a number of new infinite product representations for trigonometric and hyperbolic functions.  相似文献

We obtain the existence of the weak Green's functions of parabolic equations with lower order coefficients in the so called parabolic Kato class which is being proposed as a natural generalization of the Kato class in the study of elliptic equations. As a consequence we are able to prove the existence of solutions of some initial boundary value problems. Moreover, based on a lower and an upper bound of the Green's function, we prove a Harnack inequality for the non-negative weak solutions.

Many important Fredholm integral equations have separable kernels which are finite-rank modifications of Volterra kernels. This class includes Green's functions for Sturm-Liouville and other two-point boundary-value problems for linear ordinary differential operators. It is shown how to construct the Fredholm determinant, resolvent kernel, and eigenfunctions of kernels of this class by solving related Volterra integral equations and finite, linear algebraic systems. Applications to boundary-value problems are discussed, and explicit formulas are given for a simple example. We study subsolutions for semilinear elliptic boundary value problems in L1. We consider as well nonlinear as linear boundary conditions. The nonlinear functions may be multivated. We characterize in terms of p.d.e. the subsolutions defined by a nonlinear functional analysis argument. Applications are given to obtain existence results for semilinear elliptic boundary value problems and comparison and estimates for nonlinear parabolic boundary value problems.  相似文献

In this paper, we study integral boundary value problems for two classes of nonlinear non-instantaneous impulsive ordinary differential equations. More precisely, one is integer order impulsive model, the other is fractional order impulsive model.
