This paper is devoted to controlling a class of nonlinear systems over a communication network in the presence of packet transmission delays, packet losses, quantization errors, and sampling-related phenomena. Specifically, based on the Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy approach, this paper presents a way of designing a quantized controller that allows all the states of nonlinear NCSs to converge exponentially to a bounded ellipsoid. In particular, this paper provides a method capable of exploiting fully the time-varying delay term d(t), induced by Jensen inequality, for nonlinear NCSs.  相似文献

In this paper, the feedback linearization scheme is applied to the control of vehicle’s lateral dynamics. Based on the assumption of constant driving speed, a second-order nonlinear lateral dynamical model is adopted for controller design. It was observed in (Liaw, D.C., Chung, W.-C. in 2006 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 2006) that the saddle-node bifurcation would appear in vehicle dynamics with respect to the variation of the front wheel steering angle, which might result in spin and/or system instability. The vehicle dynamics at the saddle node bifurcation point is derived and then decomposed as an affine nominal model plus the remaining term of the overall system dynamics. Feedback linearization scheme is employed to construct the stabilizing control laws for the nominal model. The stability of the overall vehicle dynamics at the saddle-node bifurcation is then guaranteed by applying Lyapunov stability criteria. Since the remaining term of the vehicle dynamics contains the steering control input, which might change system equilibrium except the designed one. Parametric analysis of system equilibrium for an example vehicle model is also obtained to classify the regime of control gains for potential behavior of vehicle’s dynamical behavior.  相似文献

The development of a three-hole pressure probe with back-flushing combined with a conductivity probe, used for measuring simultaneously the magnitude and direction of the velocity vector in complex air–water flows, is described in this paper. The air–water flows envisaged in the current work are typically those occurring around the rotors of impulse hydraulic turbines (like the Pelton and Cross-Flow turbines), where the flow direction is not known prior to the data acquisition. The calibration of both the conductivity and three-hole pressure components of the combined probe in a rig built for the purpose, where the probe was placed in a position similar to that adopted for the flow measurements, will be reported. After concluding the calibration procedure, the probe was utilized in the outside region of a Cross-Flow turbine rotor. The experimental results obtained in the present study illustrate the satisfactory performance of the combined probe, and are encouraging toward its use for characterizing the velocity field of other complex air–water flows.  相似文献

The new generations of compact high output power-to-weight ratio internal combustion engines generate broadband torsional oscillations, transmitted to lightly damped drivetrain systems. A novel approach to mitigate these untoward vibrations can be the use of nonlinear absorbers. These act as Nonlinear Energy Sinks (NESs). The NES is coupled to the primary (drivetrain) structure, inducing passive irreversible targeted energy transfer (TET) from the drivetrain system to the NES. During this process, the vibration energy is directed from the lower-frequency modes of the structure to the higher ones. Thereafter, vibrations can be either dissipated through structural damping or consumed by the NES. This paper uses a lumped parameter model of an automotive driveline to simulate the effect of TET and the assumed modal energy redistribution. Significant redistribution of vibratory energy is observed through TET. Furthermore, the integrated optimization process highlights the most effective configuration and parametric evaluation for use of NES.  相似文献

This paper reports a new set of model equations for Computational Hydro Acoustics (CHA). The governing equations include the continuity and the momentum equations. The definition of bulk modulus is used to relate density with pressure. For 3D flow fields, there are four equations with density and velocity components as the unknowns. The inviscid equations are proved to be hyperbolic because an arbitrary linear combination of the three Jacobian matrices is diagonalizable and has a real spectrum. The left and right eigenvector matrices are explicitly derived. Moreover, an analytical form of the Riemann invariants are derived. The model equations are indeed suitable for modeling wave propagation in low-speed, nearly incompressible air and water flows. To demonstrate the capability of the new formulation, we use the CESE method to solve the 2D equations for aeolian tones generated by air flows passing a circular cylinder at Re = 89,000, 46,000, and 22,000. Numerical results compare well with previously published data. By simply changing the value of the bulk modulus, the same code is then used to calculate three cases of water flows passing a cylinder at Re = 89,000, 67,000, and 44,000.  相似文献

A water drop-shaped fairing is applied to control the wake behind a circular cylinder and to suppress the formation of Karman vortex street in this paper. The results are evaluated using high resolution CFD technique. A finite-volume total variation diminishing (TVD) approach based upon the recently proposed elemental velocity vector transformation (EVVT) method, which aims at solving the incompressible turbulent flow for irregular boundary conditions with renormalization group (RNG) turbulence model, is used to simulate the flow field around circular cylinder systems. The calculations are carried out with cylinder systems with and without fairings, while the fairings have different top shape angles within the range of 30°~90°. The Reynolds number ranges from 1000 to 50 000. It is shown that the simulation results of present numerical method reaches good agreement with the available experimental and numerical simulation data of typical circular cylinder flow and a fixed fairing cylinder system flow. Compared with bare cylinder, the faired bluff structures can obviously reduce the lift and drag forces and alter the vortex shedding frequency. Overall, the mean drag coefficient can be reduced up to about (10–31)% and the RMS lift coefficient can be reduced up to (30–99)% for all faired systems at given Reynolds numbers. The influence of Reynolds number and attack angles on the flow field characters of bare cylinder and faired cylinders is also discussed. The faired structures with shape angles within 30°~45°under zero-attack-angle-inflow case are considered as the optimal structures, with which the mean drag coefficient and the RMS lift coefficient can be reduced up to (26–31)% and (98–99)%, respectively. Considering the influence of attack angles on lift and drag coefficients reduction, 75° shaped faired structure may be taken as a proper option.  相似文献

The interaction of a tire with a soft terrain has multiple sources of uncertainties such as the mechanical properties of the terrain, and the interfacial properties between the tire and the terrain. These uncertainties are best characterized using statistical methods such as the development of stochastic models of tire–soil interaction. The quality of the models can be assessed via statistical validation measures or metrics. Although validation of stochastic tire–soil interaction models has recently been reported with good results, it involves longitudinal slip only without considering lateral slip which can occur simultaneously with longitudinal motion. This paper presents results of the validation of a simple stochastic tire–soil interaction model for the more complicated case of combined slip. The statistical methods used for validation include the development of a Gaussian process metamodel, the calibration of model parameters using the approach of the maximum likelihood estimate in conjunction with new test data. The validation of the calibrated model, when compared with test data, is obtained using four validation metrics with good results.  相似文献

Accuracy and precision of position control of hydraulic systems are key parameters for engineering applications in order to set more economical and quality systems. In this context, this paper presents modeling and position control of a hydraulic actuation system consisting of an asymmetric hydraulic cylinder driven by a four way, three position proportional valve. In this system model, the bulk modulus is considered as a variable. In addition, the Hybrid Fuzzy-PID Controller with Coupled Rules (HFPIDCR) is proposed for position control of the hydraulic system and its performance is tested by simulation studies. The novel aspect of this controller is to combine fuzzy logic and PID controllers in terms of a switching condition. Simulation results of the HFPIDCR based controller are compared with the results of classical PID, Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC), and Hybrid Fuzzy-PID controller (HFPID). As a result, it is demonstrated that Hybrid Fuzzy PID Controller with Coupled Rules is more effective than other controllers.  相似文献

This paper employs differential transformation (DT) method to analyze and control the dynamic behavior of a gyroscope system. The analytical results reveal a complex dynamic behavior comprising periodic, subharmonic, quasiperiodic, and chaotic responses of the center of gravity. Furthermore, the results reveal the changes which take place in the dynamic behavior of the gyroscope system as the external force is increased. The current analytical results by DT method are found to be in good agreement with those of Runge?CKutta (RK) method. In order to suppress the chaotic behavior in gyroscope system, the sliding mode controller (SMC) is used and guaranteed the stability of the system from chaotic motion to periodic motion. Numerical simulations are shown to verify the results. The proposed DT method and controlling scheme provide an effective means of gaining insights into the nonlinear dynamics and controlling of gyroscope systems.  相似文献

We study the synchronization of the pedestrians motion with the lateral motion of slender footbridges, which attracted the attention of researchers mainly after the Millennium Bridge well known event. We consider a bridge-pedestrians model developed by Strogatz et al. To better understand some aspects of the underlying mechanical phenomena and to increase the agreement of the model results to the effective behaviour of the walkers (as observed during the Millennium Bridge’s opening day and during Arup’s tests on site) we have introduced some modifications to the model and we have performed extensive parametric investigations, supported by many numerical simulations. Our approach is therefore computational, by means of a self-made code. This permits to highlight the parameters which mainly affect the trigger and the development of the phenomenon of synchronous lateral excitation, thus allowing a good understanding of the physical event and an evaluation of the engineering reliability of the Strogatz et al. model.  相似文献

The Cahn–Hilliard–Navier–Stokes system is based on a well-known diffuse interface model and describes the evolution of an incompressible isothermal mixture of binary fluids. A nonlocal variant consists of the Navier–Stokes equations suitably coupled with a nonlocal Cahn–Hilliard equation. The authors, jointly with P. Colli, have already proven the existence of a global weak solution to a nonlocal Cahn–Hilliard–Navier–Stokes system subject to no-slip and no-flux boundary conditions. Uniqueness is still an open issue even in dimension two. However, in this case, the energy identity holds. This property is exploited here to define, following J.M. Ball’s approach, a generalized semiflow which has a global attractor. Through a similar argument, we can also show the existence of a (connected) global attractor for the convective nonlocal Cahn–Hilliard equation with a given velocity field, even in dimension three. Finally, we demonstrate that any weak solution fulfilling the energy inequality also satisfies a dissipative estimate. This allows us to establish the existence of the trajectory attractor also in dimension three with a time dependent external force.  相似文献
