Density modulation experiments are successfully conducted on HT-7 ohmic discharge to investigate particle transport coefficients: diffusion coefficients D and convection velocity V. The particle transport is studied at low (1.5×1019m-3) and high (3×1019 m-3) density regimes. The clear differences are observed that D is 0.42m2/s and 0.17m2/s, V is 4.7m/s (outward) and 1.6 m/s (inward) for low and high density plasmas respectively, where spatially constant D and V(r) = (r/a)V0 were assumed for the analysis.  相似文献

We report the successful growth of an electroholographic crystal, potassium sodium tantalate niobate (KNTN), by a top-seeded solution growth method. Both blue and colorless crystals were obtained. The structure, optical absorption, and refractive dispersion properties of the as-grown crystals have been investigated. Furthermore, the Kerr coefficients R11 and R12 of paraelectric K0.95Na0.05Ta0.61Nb0.39O3 single crystal were determined by using an automated scanning Mach–Zehnder interferometer. The crystal has large Kerr coefficients with R11= 2.8×10-16 m2/V2 and R12= -0.3×10-16 m2/V2 at the wavelength of 632.8 nm near its cubic–tetragonal phase boundary. PACS 81.10.Dn; 42.70.Nq  相似文献

Thep-Si/HF-electrolyte interface was characterized by capacitance–voltage (C–V) and current–voltage (I–V) studies. At low frequency, the measured capacitance exhibits two maxima: one in the weak accumulation regime (around 0.8 V [SCE]) and the other in the strong accumulation regime (around 2.6 V [SCE]), both of which disappear at high frequency. The disappearance of the two capacitance maxima is attributed to the slow response of interface traps to high frequencies. The flat-band potential, VFB, is found to be frequency dependent. The surface state densities corresponding to the two capacitance maxima are estimated to be 3.2×1011 cm-2 and 2.4×1011 cm-2, respectively. The in situ I–V characteristics distinguish pore formation, transition and electropolishing regions. Porous Si synthesized at 50 mA cm-2 gives a broad photoluminescence peak around 2.04 eV at 300 K. The electrooptic effect in lithium niobate crystals (LiNbO3) for extremely high externally applied electric fields of up to 65 kV/mm is investigated. Homogeneous electrooptic refractive-index changes of up to 4.8×10-3 are found for ordinarily polarized light. No quadratic electrooptic effect is observed. An upper bound for the quadratic electrooptic coefficient of |s13|≤2.3×10-21 m2/V2 is determined. Electrooptic, angular, and wavelength tuning of the Bragg condition of a thermally fixed hologram are demonstrated. In this study, the grain boundary diffusion of Cu through a TiN layer with columnar structure was investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). It was observed that Cu atoms diffuse from the Cu layer to the surface along the grain boundaries in the TiN layer at elevated temperature. In order to estimate the grain boundary diffusion constants, we used the surface accumulation method. The diffusivity of Cu through TiN layer with columnar structure from 400 °C to 650 °C is Db≈6×10−11exp(−0.29/(kBT )) cm2/s. Catalytic degradation and diffusion processes of NO2 were followed by cavity-ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) at 612.9 nm. The suitability of this absorption method for quasi-continuous, direct quantitative measurements over extended periods of time is demonstrated. The high sensitivity of the method is reflected by the fact that NO2 concentrations as low as 200 ppb were detected at wavelengths at which the absorption of NO2 is 12-fold lower than at the absorption maximum at 413 nm. Defective graphene nanosheets (dGN4V) with 5-9, 5-8-5, and point defects were synthesised by a sonoelectrochemical method, where a potential of 4 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) was applied to drive the rapid intercalation of phosphate ions between the layers of the graphite foil as a working electrode. In addition to these vacancies, double vacancy defects were also created when the applied potential was increased to 8 V (dGN8V). The defect density of dGN8V (2406 μm−2) was higher than that of dGN4V (1786 μm−2). Additionally, dGN8V and dGN4V were applied as catalysts for the hydrogen peroxide reduction reaction (HPRR). The mass activity of dGN8V (1.31 × 10−2 mA·μg−1) was greater than that of dGN4V (1.17 × 10−2 mA·μg−1) because of its high electrochemical surface area (ECSA, 1250.89 m2·g−1) and defect density (ND, 2406 μm−2), leading to low charge transfer resistance on the electrocatalytic interface. The ECSA and ND of dGN4V were 502.7 m2·g−1 and 1786 μm−2, respectively. Apart from its remarkable HPRR activity, the cost-effective dGN8V catalyst also showed potential as an amperometric sensor for the determination of H2O2.  相似文献

Si crystals were implanted with 2.0- MeV Er+ at the doses of 5×1012 ions/cm2, 1×1014 ions/cm2, 5×1014ions/cm2, 1×1015 ions/cm2 and 2.5×1015 ions/cm2. Conventional furnace thermal annealing was carried out in the temperature range from 600 °C to 1150 °C. The depth distribution of Er, associated damage profiles and annealing behavioar were investigated using the Rutherford backscattering spectrometry and channelling (RBS/C) technique. A proper convolution program was used to extract the distribution of Er from the experimental RBS spectrum. The obtained distribution parameters, projected range Rp, projected range straggling ΔRp and skewness SK were compared with those of TRIM96 calculation.The experimental Rp and SK values agree well with the simulated values, while the experimental ΔRp is larger than TRIM 96 simulated value by a factor of 18%. The damage profile of silicon crystal induced by 2.0-MeV Er+ at a dose of 1×1014 ions/cm2 was extracted using the multiple-scattering dechannelling model based on Feldman’s method, which is in a good agreement with the TRIM96 calculation. For the samples with dose of 5×1014 ions/cm2 and more, an abnormal annealing behavioar was found and a qualitative explaination has been given. Nuclear physics methods are used to determine the diffusion coefficients of Na, Ca, Mn, K, and 222Rn in clinoptilolite (Sokirnitsa occurrence, Ukraine) and in natural tuff (Yucca Mountain, Nevada, United States) and in tuff irradiated by γ-quanta (E max = 23 MeV) to a dose of 107 Gy at a leaching temperature of 37°C. The diffusion coefficients of sodium and potassium in clinoptilolite are found to differ considerably: 4 × 10−17 and 2 × 10−20 m2/s, respectively. This indicates the influence of aquacomplexes on the cation transfer. The diffusion coefficient of radon in these materials is determined: in clinoptilolite it equals 2.5 × 10−12 m2/s.  相似文献

We report a new measurement of the Kerr effect of molecular oxygen at λ= 1064 nm. The experimental value reported for the anisotropy of the index of refraction Δ nul, (3.15±0.85)×10-25 m2 V-2 atm-1, is in good agreement with the value of 3.4×10-25 m2 V-2 atm-1 obtained via an ab initio calculation. We show that the dependence of the effect on the pressure is not linear because of the presence of a collision-induced absorption band around 1060 nm due to the transition from the X3 Σ-g ground state to the 1Δg state. We also give the value of the quadratic anisotropy Δnuq (-1.03±0.68)×10-25 m2 V-2 atm-2. We finally compare our ab initio theoretical and experimental results with previous existing data.  相似文献

Comparative analysis of iron segregation profiles near the free surfaces of V-(2, 5, 7) at % Fe alloys irradiated with 50-keV V+ ions at temperatures 30–40°C with doses from 1 × 1019 to 1 × 1021 ions/m2 has been performed. Data on the change in the moduli of normal elasticity and the values of swelling of these alloys with a change in Fe concentration in them are reported. A correlation between the character of the concentration dependence of the degree of Fe segregation, partial diffusion coefficients of the alloy components, the Young moduli, and the preference factors for vacancies and interstitials between dislocations and voids in these alloys is established.  相似文献

The proton conductivity and the mobility arising from motions of the ionic and bonded defects, in hydrogen-bonded molecular systems are investigated by means of the quantum mechanical method. Our two component model goes beyond the usual classical harmonic interaction by inclusion of a quartic interaction potential between the nearest-neighbor protons. Among the rich variety of soliton patterns obtained in this model, we focus our attention to compact kink (kinkon) solutions to calculate analytically, the mobility of the kinkon-antikinkon pair and the specific electrical-conductivity of the protons transfer in the hydrogen-bonded systems under an externally applied electrical-field through the dynamic equation of the kinkon-antikinkon pair. For ice, the mobility and the electrical conductivity of the proton transfer obtained are about 5.307×10-7 m2  V-1  s-1 and 6.11×10-4 Ω-1 m-1, respectively. The results obtained are in qualitative agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

Charge transients were measured in high-quality single-crystal octadecane after electron beam irradiation. The signals produced were of significantly greater duration than the ionization pulse but were not interpretable by conventional uniform field time-of-flight analysis. By assuming that the specimens contained a strong inbuilt polarization field, it was possible to predict the properties of the observed charge transients and obtain values for the positive and negative drift mobilities. The results indicated a positive species with a mobility of 0.7 × 10?4 m2 V?1 s?1 and a negative carrier value of 1.6 × 10?4 m2 V?1 s?1. The standard deviations observed in the data were large, being 0.3 × 10?4 m2 V?1 s?1 and 0.8 × 10?4 m2 V?1 s?1, respectively. This scatter was significantly in excess of the estimated experimental error.  相似文献

2 Cu3O7, using a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser is investigated by time-resolved emission-spectroscopic techniques at various laser irradiances. It is observed that beyond a laser irradiance of 2.6×1011 W cm-2, the ejected plume collectively drifts away from the target with a sharp increase in velocity to 1.25×106 cm s-1, which is twice its velocity observed at lower laser irradiances. This sudden drift apparently occurs as a result of the formation of a charged double layer at the external plume boundary. This diffusion is collective, that is, the electrons and ions inside the plume diffuse together simultaneously and hence it is similar to the ambipolar diffusion of charged particles in a discharge plasma. This paper presents the construction, use and characterisation of a laser-induced sealed plasma shutter to clip off the nitrogen pulse tail of a CO2-TEA laser-based lidar dial system. Investigation of the optimum gas filling pressure, temporal profile of the clipped pulse, and the laser threshold power intensities to achieve ionisation growth and breakdown in helium, argon, and nitrogen are also presented. Values of these power density thresholds lie between 3×1011 W cm-2–5×1012 W cm-2, 2×1011 W cm-2–2×1012 W cm-2 and 3×1013 W cm-2–2×1014 W cm-2 for helium, argon, and nitrogen, respectively. The range resolution attainable with the present clipped pulses is 15 m, which is 30 times better than that readily obtained with the nitrogen-tailed pulses. Field measurements of the lidar returns with the clipped pulse from a co-operative target are presented. The objective of this paper was to study the moisture and salt diffusivity during ultrasonic assisted-osmotic dehydration of cucumbers. Experimental measurements of moisture and salt concentration versus time were carried out and an inverse numerical method was performed by coupling a CFD package (OpenFOAM) with a parameter estimation software (DAKOTA) to determine mass transfer coefficients. A good agreement between experimental and numerical results was observed. Mass transfer coefficients were from 3.5 × 10−9 to 7 × 10−9 m/s for water and from 4.8 × 10−9 m/s to 7.4 × 10−9 m/s for salt at different conditions (diffusion coefficients of around 3.5 × 10−12–11.5 × 10−12 m2/s for water and 5 × 10−12 m/s–12 × 10−12 m2/s for salt). Ultrasound irradiation could increase the mass transfer coefficient. The values obtained by this method were closer to the actual data. The inverse simulation method can be an accurate technique to study the mass transfer phenomena during food processing.  相似文献

Ba0.7Sr0.3TiO3:Eu ferroelectric films were deposited on quartz substrates by pulsed laser deposition. The linear absorption coefficient and the linear refractive index calculated from the transmission spectrum at 532 nm were found to be 1.67×104 cm?1 and 1.82 respectively. The room temperature photoluminescence shows the characteristic emission of Eu3+ ions. The nonlinear optical properties of the film were investigated by a single beam Z-scan setup. The negative nonlinear refractive index and two photon absorption coefficient was found to be ?1.508×10?6 m2/GW and 240 m/GW respectively. The real and imaginary part of the third order susceptibility of the thin films is 2.58×10?17 m2/V2 and 1.16×10?16 m2/V2 respectively. The BST:Eu thin films show good optical limiting property.  相似文献

We report the results of the first measurements of the non-linear Kerr refractive index, n2, for LiBaF3 and LiLuF4 crystal hosts, known as prospective UV-emitting tunable laser media when doped with Ce3+ ions. These n2 values (2.7×10-16 and 1.5×10-16 cm2/W at 532 nm, respectively), obtained using the well-established Z-scan technique, are important for the characterization of new optical materials particularly in relation to their potential ultrafast applications. High Fe concentrations (up to 2×1019 cm-3) have been implanted in n-doped InP to compensate the substrate donors. The resulting semi-insulating layers have been investigated by current–voltage (I-V) measurements and photo-induced current transient spectroscopy (PICTS) analyses to characterise the Fe activation process and to study the Fe related deep levels. The activation of the Fe2+/3+ trap has been assessed by the identification of the deep level located at EC-0.64 eV. The outcomes of the PICTS measurements have been correlated with the electrically active Fe concentration calculated from a numerical simulation of the I-V characteristics. We observe an increasing linear relation between the electrically active Fe concentration and the substrate doping density, with a maximum active Fe concentration as high as 2×1018 cm-3, i.e. more than an order of magnitude above the equilibrium Fe solid solubility.
