Diode pumping of a continuous-wave Pr3+-doped LiYF4 laser   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We report, for the first time to our knowledge, diode-pumped cw laser oscillation of Pr3+:LiYF4 in the red spectral range. The pump power is provided by a GaN laser diode emitting a maximum output power of 25 mW at a wavelength of approximately 442 nm. The Pr3+ laser emits 1.8 mW of output power at a 639.7-nm wavelength. Threshold pump power and slope efficiency in a nonoptimized setup are determined to be 5.5 mW and 24%, respectively.  相似文献

Continuous-wave green laser with a maximum power of 34 W has been obtained by intracavity frequency doubling with KTP in diode-side-pumped Nd:YAG. The Nd:YAG/KTP green laser has a simple three- mirror V-fold cavity structure. The optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is 9.5%. The instability of the laser is measured when the output powers are near 16, 21, 30, and 34 W after the beam is filtered. At the maximum output power, the M^2 factor is measured to be 8.  相似文献

Efficient and compact red laser output at 669 nm is generated by intracavity frequency doubling of a continuous-wave (CW) diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser at 1338 nm. With 16.9 W of diode pump power and the frequency-doubling crystal KTiOPO4 (KTP), a maximum output power of 582 mW in the red spectral range at 669 nm has been achieved, corresponding to an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 3.4%; the output power stability over 4 h is better than 3.6%. To the best of our knowledge, this is first work on intracavity frequency doubling of a diode pumped Nd:YAG laser at 669 nm.  相似文献

LD-pumped actively Q-switched intracavity frequency-doubled Nd:GdVO4/KTP red laser has been introduced. A maximum red average output power of 0.78 W at 671 nm was obtained at pulse-repetition frequency (PRF) of 15 kHz and the optical conversion efficiency was 6.5%. At the incident pump power of 12 W, the shortest laser pulse occurred at PRF of 15 kHz. Its full-width at half-maximum and the highest peak power were measured to be 35.8 ns and 3.38 kW. The largest single pulse energy of 56.3 μJ was achieved at PRF of 10 kHz. The influence factors on the Q-switched Nd:GdVO4/KTP red laser have been discussed.  相似文献

A diode-end-pumped Nd:YAG dual-wavelength laser operating at 1319 and 1338 nm is demonstrated. The maximum average output power of the quasi-continuous wave linearly polarized dual-wavelength laser is obtained to be 2.1 W at a repetition rate of 50 kHz with an output power instability of less than 0.38% and beam quality factor M2 of 1.45. Using the two lines, the highly coherent and narrow linewidth terahertz radiation of 3.23 THz can be generated in an organic 4-N, N-dimethylamino--methyl-stilbazolium tosylate (DAST) crystal. Meanwhile, the multi-wavelength red laser at 659.5, 664 and 669 nm is generated by frequency doubling and sum frequency processes in a lithium triborate (LBO) crystal. The average red laser output power is enhanced up to 1.625 W at a repetition rate of 15 kHz with an output power instability of better than 0.53% and beam quality factor M2 of 6.05. Using the three lines, it is possible to generate the multi-wavelength THz radiation of 3.3, 3.43 and 6.73 THz in an appropriate difference frequency crystal.  相似文献

A diode-end-pumped simultaneously Q-switched and mode-locked intracavity frequency doubled Nd:GdVO4/LBO red laser with an acousto-optic Q-switch was realized. The maximum red laser output power of 250 mW was obtained at the incident pump power of 8.3 W and the repetition rate of 10 kHz. At 5 kHz, the maximum mode-locking modulation depth of about 80% was achieved with the Q-switched pulse width of 440 ns. The red mode-locked pulse inside the Q-switched pulse had a repetition rate of 115 MHz, its average pulse width was estimated to be about 350 ps.  相似文献

报道了激光二极管端面抽运Tm,Ho:YLF固体激光器的输出特性.室温下,选用不同透过率的输出耦合镜进行了实验研究,确定了最佳输出耦合镜透过率为2%. 利用小孔扫描的方法,得到了激光远场的光强分布,证明激光为基横模输出,并且给出了热焦距随抽运功率的变化关系.通过在激光谐振腔内插入两个固体Fabry-Perot标准具的方法,获得了2μm激光的单频输出,阈值功率为250mW,在抽运功率为2.8W时,单频输出功率为118mW.此单频激光器可用作激光振荡器和激光放大器的种子源. 关键词: 激光光学 激光二极管 Tm Ho:YLF固体激光器 单频  相似文献

We report a 307 W 1018 nm Yb-doped fiber laser pumped by a single 976 nm laser diode. The cavity slope efficiency is up to 75.9% and the amplified spontaneous emission is suppressed by 54 dB. The beam quality of the output laser has an M2 factor of 1.17. Effective thermal management is considered to ensure the stable operation of our system. The power stability at the maximum output power level is measured during a period of0.5 h and the power fluctuation is less than 0.8%. This architecture can be an effective high brightness pump source of core-pumping high-power fiber amplifiers.  相似文献

An intracavity etalon is used to suppress the vibration of the light at 1338 nm to get a stable laser output. An acousto-optic Q-switched red laser output is obtained by intracavity frequency-doubling a Nd:YAG laser operating at 1319 nm with a type II KTP crystal. At the pump power of 300 W, an average out-put power of 6.5 W at 660 nm is measured at single-end, and the peak power is 65 kW. The stability has been kept less than ±1% in five hours.  相似文献

We report a stable high power and high beam quality diode-side-pumped cw green laser from intracavity frequency-doubled Nd: YAG laser with KTP. By using a L-shaped concave-convex resonator, designed with two Nd:YAG rods birefringence compensation, a large fundamental mode size in the laser crystal and a tight focus in the nonlinear crystal could be obtained simultaneously. The green laser delivers a maximum 532nm output power of 23.2 W. Under 532nm output power of 20.9 W, the beam quality factor is measured to be 4.1, and the fluctuation of the output power is less than 1.4% in an hour.  相似文献

A compact, high power and high beam quality diode-end-pumped CW Nd:YVO4 slab 1064 nm laser with a hybrid resonator is demonstrated. The maximum output power of 23.0 W is obtained under the pump power of 66.7 W, which gives the slope efficiency and optical conversion efficiency of 52.0 and 34.0%, respectively. The beam quality M2 factors are measured to be 1.5 in the unstable direction and 1.7 in the stable direction. The power stability of the LD end-pumped slab laser at an output power of 19 W is measured to be 0.7% for half an hour operation.  相似文献

通过优化平-凹-平三镜折叠腔结构设计,利用大功率半导体激光器侧面抽运、Ⅱ类相位匹配KTP晶体腔内倍频,获得高效高功率连续绿色激光输出.当抽运电流约为36 A时,得到最高36.6 W的连续绿光激光输出,对应的光—光转换效率为8.71%.在输出功率33 W时测量激光功率稳定性,其功率不稳定度为0.27%.用刀口法测量了激光器高输出功率时的光束质量,光束质量因子小于8.对高功率抽运情况下三镜折叠腔的像散补偿、失调灵敏度和基模在腔内分布情况做了数值模拟. 关键词: 侧面抽运 腔内倍频 连续波  相似文献

We demonstrate a high power 556 nm yellow-green laser by intracavity frequency doubled of the diode-pumped 1112 nm Nd:YAG laser in a symmetrical L-shaped flat-flat cavity. The coatings of the resonator mirrors were carefully designed to achieve efficient operation of fundamental wavelength of the laser at 1112 nm. By using a type-II phase matching LBO nonlinear crystal as the frequency-doubler, the maximum output power of the 556 nm laser was measured to be as high as 83 W with a pulse repetition frequency (PRF) of 10 kHz under incident pump power of 1150 W, corresponding to an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of about 7.2%. 以光纤光栅为谐振腔搭建了波长为1020 nm的光纤激光器,并通过两级级联放大获得了590 mW的最大输出功率. 利用获得的波长为1020 nm的激光进行了波长为1064 nm种子光同带抽运放大,实验研究了不同增益光纤长度时放大器的输出功率和转换效率. 当增益光纤长度为8.5 m时,放大器最大输出功率为385 mW,斜率效率为81%. 进行了波长为976 nm的半导体激光器直接抽运波长为1064 nm种子光的实验. 在增益光纤长度最优时,其斜率效率为56.4%. 实验结果表明,同带抽运方式比传统抽运方式具有更高的转换效率. 研究结果可为波长为1020 nm的激光高功率放大和波长为1064 nm的光纤激光高功率同带抽运放大提供一定的参考. 关键词: 同带抽运 光纤放大器 斜率效率  相似文献

报道了LD侧面泵浦Nd∶YAG/S-KTP腔内倍频高功率660nm连续红光激光器。泵浦组件(呈三角形等间距分布)由9个20W的激光二极管组成,最大泵浦功率为180W。通过对谐振腔参数进行优化设计,用LD连续抽运3mm×65mm Nd∶YAG激光棒时,获得了波长为1319nm的基频光振荡。利用S-KTP II类临界相位匹配腔内倍频技术,当泵浦电流为22A时,获得了6.8W的连续红光激光输出,光-光转换效率为4.3%。  相似文献

An efficient, stable diode-end-pumped simultaneous continuous-wave (CW) dual-wavelength laser operating at 1.319 and 1.338 μm in a Nd:YAG crystal has been demonstrated. A total output power of 6.3 W is achieved at an absorbed pump power of 15 W, with a slope efficiency of 43.5%. The instability of output power is less than 1%. With a type Ⅱ critical phase-matched KTP crystal inserted into the cavity as frequency doubler, a maximum output power of 200 mW in red region is acquired. In addition, a sixwavelength laser operation at 1.319 μm, 1.338 μm, 1.356 μm, 659.5 nm, 669 nm, and 678 nm is observed.  相似文献

Flying-spot displays require light sources in the red, green and blue with a high optical output power and nearly diffraction limited beams. In this paper we present experimental results of red-emitting, AlGaInP based, tapered diode lasers and their integration into diode laser modules. The laser modules emit a collimated, almost diffraction limited beam with an optical output power as high as 1W at a wavelength close to 635 nm. The tapered laser chips were designed with emphasis on achieving a good beam quality in vertical and lateral directions of a collimated beam. To test the suitability for flying-spot display applications, we performed fiber coupling experiments with a low mode number optical fiber with an etendue as low as 6 × 10?6 mm2 sr. A maximum transmission of 70% of the launched power behind the uncoated fiber as well as a usable power in excess of 580mW were measured.  相似文献

对强泵浦下线形腔掺Yb3+双包层光纤激光器输出特性进行了理论和实验研究。通过数值模拟,分析了泵浦光及激光在光纤中的分布、输出功率与泵浦功率的关系、光纤长度及腔镜反射率对激光输出功率的影响。在实验中,利用D型掺Yb3+双包层光纤获得了输出功率10 6W的光纤激光输出,斜率效率达86%。测量了在不同输出耦合条件下的输出功率、阈值泵浦功率和斜率效率,理论分析与实验结果基本一致,为进一步提高光纤激光器功率提供了理论和实验依据。  相似文献

The 4-at.% Tm:Sc_2SiO_5 (Tm:SSO) crystal is successfully obtained by the Czochralski method. The optical properties and thermal conductivity of the crystal are investigated. The broad continuous wave(CW) laser output of(100)-cut Tm:SSO with the dimensions of 3 mm×3 mm×3 mm under laser diode(LD)-pumping is realized. The full width at half maximum(FWHM) of the laser emitting reaches up to 21 nm. The laser threshold of Tm:SSO is measured to be 0.43 W. Efficient diode-pumped CW laser performance of Tm:SSO is demonstrated with a slope efficiency of 25.9% and maximum output power of 934 mW.  相似文献

In this paper, a distributed Bragg reflection (DBR) type Er~(3+)/Yb~(3+) co-doped fiber laser of high output power and high slope efficiency was developed. Its gain medium was a 4.45-m-long Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped fiber. When it was pumped by a 1064-nm Nd:YAG, the linewidth of output laser was measured as 0.072 nm by 3 dB and 0.192 nm by 25 dB at 1552.08 nm. The maximum output power was measured as 69 mW. Its power stability was < 5%, side mode suppression ratio was 59 dB, and the output wavelength stability was ±0.01 nm. The laser had a threshold of 12 mW and a slope efficiency of 22%.  相似文献
