CO2 adsorption properties on Mg modified silica mesoporous materials were investigated. By using the methods of co-condensation, dispersion and ion-exchange, Mg2+ was introduced into SBA-15 and MCM-41, and transformed into MgO in the calcination process. The basic MgO can provide active sites to enhance the acidic CO2 adsorption capacity. To improve the amount and the dispersion state of the loading MgO, the optimized modification conditions were also investigated. The XRD and TEM characteristic results, as well as the CO2 adsorption performance showed that the CO2 adsorption capacity not only depended on the pore structures of MCM-41 and SBA-15, but also on the improvement of the dispersion state of MgO by modification. Among various Mg modified silica mesoporous materials, the CO2 adsorption capacity increased from 0.42 mmol g−1 of pure silica SBA-15 to 1.35 mmol g−1 of Mg–Al–SBA-15-I1 by the ion-exchange method enhanced with Al3+ synergism. Moreover, it also increased from 0.67 mmol g−1 of pure silica MCM-41 to 1.32 mmol g−1 of Mg–EDA–MCM-41-D10 by the dispersion method enhanced with the incorporation of ethane diamine. The stability test by 10 CO2 adsorption/desorption cycles showed Mg–urea–MCM-41-D10 possessed quite good recyclability.  相似文献

This work aims to reduce the prices of a wide range of nanomaterials which are unreachable in the industry by using natural sources as silicon and aluminum precursors. In a previous work, silicon and aluminum have been extracted from Volclay after applying the alkaline fusion process at 550 °C, and a water treatment of this fused clay by adopting a weight ratio (1:4, fusion mass:H2O) to synthesize Al-MCM-41 nanomaterials. In this study, the weight ratio of fusion mass:H2O was increased to 1:8 to synthesize a highly structurally ordered MCM-41 under the same reaction conditions. The Al-MCM-41 nanomaterials are investigated by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP–OES), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption–desorption measurements and scanning electron microscopy (ESEM). As a result, the increase in the weight ratio fusion mass:H2O generates more silica and aluminum, which allows the formation of well-ordered MCM-41 nanomaterials with high pore volume (0.70 cm3/g), high surface area (1044 m2/g), and uniform mesoporous diameter (3.67 nm); as a consequence, the increase in the weight ratio fusion mass:H2O leads to an increase in the mass of Al-MCM-41 (9.3 g for 1:8 compared to 5 g for 1:4), whereas the yield of production of mesoporous materials increases to 86%.  相似文献

Spherical and rod mesoporous silica nanoparticles with hexagonal mesostructure were prepared using the modified Stöber method. The morphology, size and internal pore structure can be controlled by simple changing of surfactant concentration and water:ethanol molar ratio. Monodispersed spheroid MCM-41 was obtained at 40 °C under basic conditions using cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (C16TAB) as template. Obtained materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen physisorption (BET), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). The results reveal that the pore volume and surface area increase when the amount of C16TAB increases whereas the pore diameter and particle size decrease. However, the use of ethanol as cosolvent led to an increase in the particles’ size. Moreover, the addition of a 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane greatly influenced the final particle shape. The material was effectively used for the removal of two fluorescent dyes (Hoechst 33342 and rhodamine 6g) from aqueous solution. Adsorption isotherm models, Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin were used to simulate the equilibrium data. The Langmuir model was found to fit the experimental data better than others models.  相似文献

New luminescent inorganic–organic hybrid materials incorporating the luminescent zinc(II) complex ZnL2 (λem = 457 nm and Φem = 4.4% reference values for ZnL2; HL = chelating ligand resulting from the reaction between salicylaldehyde and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane), covalently bonded to different types of mesoporous silica hosts (namely MCM-41, MCM-48 and SBA-15), were prepared via both the methods of grafting post-synthesis (GPS) and one-pot synthesis (OPS). The products obtained, which form the GPS [(GPS)(Zn/MCM-41), (GPS)(Zn/MCM-48), (GPS)(Zn/SBA-15)] and the OPS [(OPS)(Zn/MCM-41), (OPS)(Zn/MCM-48), (OPS)(Zn/SBA-15)] series, contain the ZnL2 guest covalently bonded to the silica framework through silicon–oxygen bonds formed when the silane group is placed at the periphery of the Zn(II) coordination sphere. GPS and OPS materials were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption/desorption, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and UV/vis spectroscopy. For the new mesoporous materials the emission quantum yield (EQY) was measured by means of an integrating sphere combined with a spectrofluorimeter. The ZnL2 loading (measured by the ZnL2/SiO2 ratio calculated from TGA data) for MCM-41 appears to be independent of the synthesis procedure, whereas, for both MCM-48 and SBA-15, the ZnL2/SiO2 ratio of the materials obtained via OPS is about four times higher than products obtained from GPS. The ZnL2 loaded GPS and OPS series show λem maxima at about 485 and 455 nm, respectively. Moreover, with reference to EQY (GPS)(Zn/SBA-15) and (OPS)(Zn/SBA-15), although featuring ZnL2/SiO2 ratios of 0.13 and 0.45, respectively, they showed similar EQY values: 2% and 5%. On the contrary, (GPS)(Zn/MCM-41) and (OPS)(Zn/MCM-41) which give similar ZnL2/SiO2 ratios (0.09 and 0.14) exhibit very different EQY, i.e. 2% and 22%, respectively.  相似文献

This study focuses on the MCM-41 material (Mobil Composition of Matter). The MCM-41 nanomaterial presents higher physical properties such as pore sizes, surface areas and pore volumes. This material is usually synthesized by using laboratory reagents as silicate sources and aluminium source. These laboratory reagents are still expensive and toxic for large scale production. The main aim of this work is to resolve this problem and to replace these expensive laboratory reagents by more cost effective ones. The volclay and Algerian bentonite low-cost mass clay materials are used as silicate and acuminate sources separately by adopting an alkaline fusion process to extract both silicon and aluminium (1 kg of silicium and aluminium from volclay and Algerian bentonite cost around 0.03 and 0.01 € whereas the same amount of silicon from ludox and aluminium from sodium aluminates cost around 350 €). The synthesis of MCM-41 from bentonite was carried out by the hydrothermal method using the supernatants of bentonite (in the form of sodium silicate and sodium aluminate). On the basis of the data obtained from powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and N2 adsorption and desorption, the results revealed that the properties of MCM-41 synthesized from Algerian bentonite and volclay separately depend on both elemental composition and mineral phase contents of the used bentonite. Pure and highly ordered hexagonal mesoporous MCM-41 with uniform pore sizes and a high specific surface area have been successfully synthesized without any phases which exist in natural bentonite. The Algerian bentonite was chosen because of its low cost compared to volclay, another commercial clay source.  相似文献

Reactive canonical Monte Carlo (RCMC) method was performed to simulate the chemical reaction equilibrium of ammonia synthesis in two important porous materials: MCM-41 pores and pillared clays. First, our results were compared with those in slit pores in the literature. Then, the effect of other factors such as pore size, pressure and temperature on the chemical equilibrium was investigated. A parameter of the absolute increase of ammonia mole fraction in the pores against that in the bulk phase, Δabs, is introduced to describe the effect of confinement on the chemical equilibrium. The yield of ammonia increases with the decrease of pore size, but this increase becomes pronounced at pore sizes of 1.5 nm for MCM-41 pores and 1.02 nm for pillared clays. The yield of ammonia also increases with pressure. In addition, the maximum ammonia mole fraction is attained at 100 bar and 573 K in both MCM-41 pores and pillared clays. When the feed mole ratio of N:H of the bulk phase declines from 4:13 to 4:15, the yield of ammonia in the pore phase also decreases. In addition, the effect of porosity in pillared clays on the chemical equilibrium was simulated.  相似文献

An enzyme, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), was adsorbed in the manner of single immersion method on the silica mesoporous materials, FSM-16, MCM-41 and SBA-15 with various pore diameters from 27 to 92 and their enzymatic activity in an organic solvent and the thermal stability were studied. FSM-16 and MCM-41 showed larger amount of adsorption of HRP than SBA-15 or silica gel, when the pore sizes were larger than the spherical molecular diameter of HRP (ca 64×37). The increased enzyme adsorption capacity may be due to the surface characteristics of FSM-16 and MCM-41, which would be consistent with the observed larger adsorption capacity of cationic pigment compared with anionic pigment for these materials. The immobilized HRP on FSM-16 and MCM-41 with pore diameter above 50 showed the highest enzymatic activity in an organic toluene and thermal stability in aqueous solution at the temperature of 70℃. The immobilized enzymes on the other mesoporous materials including large or small pore sized FSM-16 showed lower enzymatic activity in an organic solvent and the thermal stability. Both surface character and size matching between pore sizes and the molecular diameters of HRP were important in achieving high enzymatic activity in organic solvent and high thermal stability.  相似文献

A new strategy, releasing nitric oxide (NO) and adsorbing nitrosamines simultaneously by zeolitic materials in the digestive system, is validated in this paper. Three types of moisture-saturated molecular sieves, HZSM-5 zeolite, mesoporous zeolite, and mesoporous silica MCM-41, are used as NO-delivery vessels in mimic gastric juice after modification of γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES). APTES modification dramatically increased the capability of zeolite and mesoporous silica in NO release in acidic solution, because more NO can be adsorbed in the composite and stored in the form of nitrite. Some composites released the NO 10 times more than their parent materials, and synchronously captured the carcinogen nitrosamines in mimic gastric juice. The influences of APTES modification on the porous structure and surface state of zeolite and mesoporous silica were investigated by XRD, N(2) adsorption, and FTIR tests, through which the mesoporous zeolite is proven to be the optimal support. With this hierarchical material a controllable APTES modification is realized in which a lot of aminopropyl groups are grafted in mesopores while the zeolitic structure is maintained, so the resulting sample exhibits a high capability in releasing NO and adsorbing nitrosamines. This investigation provides a clue for elevating the efficiency of zeolites in the application of life science.  相似文献

Hexagonally ordered mesoporous silica material MCM-41 (SBET?=?1090?m2/g, pore size?=?31.2 ?) was synthesized and modified by 3-aminopropyl ligands. The differences in an uptake and subsequent release of anti-inflammatory drug naproxen from unmodified and amino modified MCM-41 samples were studied. The prepared materials were characterized by high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), nitrogen adsorption/desorption, Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), thermoanalytical methods (TG/DTA) and elemental analysis. The amount of the drug released was monitored with thin layer chromatography (TLC) with densitometric detection in defined time intervals. The amounts of the released naproxen from mesoporous silica MCM-41/napro and amine-modified silica sample A-MCM-41/napro were 95 and 90% of naproxen after 72?h. In this study we compare the differences of release profiles from mesoporous silica MCM-41 and mesoporous silica SBA-15.  相似文献

The condensation reaction of 1,2-diketones and o-phenylenediamines was investigated in the presence of nano-sized mesoporous silica (MCM-41) supported 12-tungstophosphoric acid (TPA) as solid acid catalyst. Nano-sized MCM-41 was synthesized and the catalysts with different loading amounts of TPA (5–15 wt.%) were prepared and characterized by XRD, FT-IR and SEM techniques. The results confirm good dispersion of TPA on the solid support. The catalyst is reusable many times without loss in its activity.  相似文献

Anatase phase mesoporous TiO2 with I41/amd space group was synthesized via the urea assisted hydrothermal method. The existence of mono phasic TiO2 sub-microspheres of uniform particle size (ca. 400 nm) encompassing an average crystallite size of 14 nm was demonstrated using the XRD, FE-SEM and TEM analysis. Surface area of ca. 116.49 m2/g along with a pore size of 7 nm was calculated using the BET and adsorption isotherm measurements which authenticated the mesoporous nature of the synthesized material. Suitable calcination temperature for the better electrochemical property was established via the optimization process. Accordingly, the mesoporous TiO2 calcined at 400 °C displayed improved cycleability with excellent rate capability ever reported, even at 20 C-rate of discharge. The reason for the superior rate capability is corroborated to the highly mesoporous nature of the TiO2 sub-microspheres that has imparted desirable surface area apposite for enhanced ionic and electronic diffusion.  相似文献

The CO2 sequestration is one of the most promising solutions to tackle global warming. In this study, spherical mesoporous silica particles (MPS-S) and rod-shaped mesoporous silica particles (MPS-R) loaded with Cu nanoparticles were selectively prepared and employed for CO2 adsorption. For the first time uniform Cu nanoparticles were incorporated into the rod-shaped mesoporous silica particles by post-synthesis modification using both N-[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ethylenediamine (PEDA) and ethylenediamine (EDA) as coupling agents. The physiochemical properties of the mesoporous and copper grifted silica composites were investigated by CHN elemental analysis, FTIR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), surface area analysis, scanning, transmission electron microscopy and gas analysis system (GSD 320, TERMO). The mesoporous silica shows highly ordered mesoporous structures, with the rod-shaped particles having a higher surface area than the spherical ones. Copper nanoparticles with an average diameter of 6.0 nm were uniformly incorporated into the MPS-S and MPS-R. Moreover, Cu-loaded mesoporous silica exhibits up to 40% higher CO2 adsorption capacity than the bare MPS. The MPS-R modified with Cu nanoparticles showed a maximum CO2 adsorption capacity of 0.62 mmol/g and the humidity showed a slight negative effect on CO2 uptake process. The enhancement of CO2 adsorption onto transition metal/mesoporous substrates provides basis for imminent CO2 sequestration.  相似文献

In this work, we demonstrate a simple two-pot approach to double mesoporous core–shell silica spheres (DMCSSs) with uniform size of 245–790 nm, shell thickness of 41–80 nm and surface area and total pore volume of 141–618 m2 g?1 and 0.14–0.585 cc g?1, respectively. First, solid silica spherical particles were synthesized by the Stöber method and used as a core. Second, a mesoporous shell could be formed around the silica cores by using an anionic surfactant and a co-structure directing agent. It was found that mesopores can be anchored within dense silica cores during mesoporous silica shell formation, synchronously the base group with surfactant assistant can etch the dense silica cores to re-organize new mesostructure, so that double mesoporous core–shell silica sphere (DMCSS) structure can be obtained by a single surfactant-templating step. The spherical size and porosity of the silica cores of DMCSS together with shell thickness can be tuned by controlling Stöber parameters, including the concentrations of ammonia, solvent and tetraethoxysilane and the reaction time. DMCSS were loaded with ketoprofen and thymoquinone, which are an anti-inflammatory and a potential novel anti-cancer drug, respectively. Both drugs showed controlled release behavior from the pores of DMCSS. Drug uptakes within DMCSS were ~27 and 81 wt.% for ketoprofen and thymoquinone, respectively. Furthermore, DMCSS loaded with thymoquinone was more effective in inducing cancer cell apoptosis than uncontained thymoquinone, because of the slow release of the drug from the mesoporous structure.  相似文献

ZSM-5/MCM-41 composite molecular sieve has been hydrothermally synthesized through a two-step crystallization process using palygorskite (PAL) as silicon and aluminum source. The products were characterized by various means and their catalytic properties for acetalization of cyclohexanone and esterification of acetic acid and n-butanol were also investigated. In the first step ZSM-5 zeolite could be formed from the acid-treated PAL after hydrothermal treatment using tetrapropylammonium bromide as template. XRD patterns, N2 adsorption and desorption data, and TEM images show that the composite obtained in the secondary step had a well-ordered mesoporous MCM-41 phase and a microporous ZSM-5 zeolite phase. Compared with ZSM-5, ZSM-5/MCM-41 composite possessed more total acid amount, weak acid sites and large pore structure due to the formation of MCM-41 and exhibited higher catalytic activity for the acetalization and esterification reaction.  相似文献

Ordered mesoporous carbon nanoparticles have been synthesized by a nanocasting procedure from furfuryl alcohol impregnation into alumino–silica UVM-7 material. By a proper adjustment of the synthesis parameters, furfuryl alcohol volume vs. template pore volume, it was possible to obtain a carbonaceous templated material which keeps the hierarchical bimodal porosity of the silica together with its high surface area (>1000 m2/g), as it was confirmed by means of electron transmission microscopy and N2 adsorption isotherms. This carbon material was evaluated by testing it as a sorbent for several pesticides in aqueous solutions. Its absorption efficiency was compared with typical commercial solid phase extraction materials such as silica C18 and graphitized carbon black GCB.  相似文献

Recently titania synthesis was reported using various structuration procedures, leading to the production of solid presenting high surface area but exhibiting moderate thermal stability. The study presents the synthesis of TiO2/SiO2 nanocomposites, a solid that can advantageously replace bulk titania samples as catalyst support. The silica host support used for the synthesis of the nanocomposite is a SBA-15 type silica, having a well-defined 2D hexagonal pore structure and a large pore size. The control of the impregnation media is important to obtain dispersed titania crystals into the porosity, the best results have been obtained using an impregnation in an excess of solvent. After calcination at low temperature (400 °C), nanocomposites having titania nanodomains (~2–3 nm) located inside the pores and no external aggregates visible are obtained. This nanocomposite exhibits high specific surface area (close to that of the silica host support, even with a titania loading of 55 wt.%) and a narrow pore size distribution. Surprisingly, the increase in calcination temperature up to 800 °C does not allow to detect the anatase to rutile transition. Even at 800 °C, the hexagonal mesoporous structure of the silica support is maintained, and the anatase crystal domain size is evaluated at ~10 nm, a size close to that of the silica host support porosity (8.4 nm). Comparison of their physical properties with the results presented in literature for bulk samples evidenced that these TiO2/SiO2 solids are promising in term of thermal stability.  相似文献

We construct an atomistic silica pore model mimicking templated mesoporous silica MCM-41, which has molecular-level surface roughness, with the aid of the electron density profile (EDP) of MCM-41 obtained from X-ray diffraction data. Then, we present the GCMC simulations of argon adsorption on our atomistic silica pore models for two different MCM-41 samples at 75, 80, and 87 K, and the results are compared with the experimental adsorption data. We demonstrate that accurate molecular modeling of the pore structure of MCM-41 by using the experimental EDP allows the prediction of experimental capillary evaporation pressures at all investigated temperatures. The experimental desorption branches of the two MCM-41 samples are in good agreement with equilibrium vapor–liquid transition pressures from the simulations, which suggests that the experimental desorption branch for the open-ended cylindrical pores is in thermodynamic equilibrium.  相似文献

An organic–inorganic hybrid mesoporous silica was synthesized via post-grafting of KIT-6 with 4-(triethoxysilyl)butyronitrile. All samples were characterized using their N2 adsorption–desorption isotherms, XRD, FT–IR, TEM, SEM, and PT. The adsorption potential of this material for removing Pb(II) from aqueous solutions was investigated via the batch technique, and the effects of pH and contact time were studied. Experimental data showed that the maximum Pb(II) adsorption, 76%, occurred in the pH range around 6. The adsorption equilibrium was reached within 40 min for 10 wt.%COOH/KIT-6. The adsorption data were fitted using the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms, and the obtained modeling equilibrium adsorption data suggested that the 10 wt.%COOH/KIT-6 sample contained homogeneous adsorption sites that fit the Langmuir adsorption model well. The pseudo-second-order model described well the 10 wt.%COOH/KIT-6 adsorption process. The desorption and regeneration experiments indicated that ≈95% of the metal desorbed and the adsorbent could be regenerated via an acid treatment without altering its properties.  相似文献

The incorporation of CdS nanoparticles, prepared in reverse micellar systems, into thiol-modified mesoporous silica, such as FM41 (functionalized MCM-41) and FM48 (functionalized MCM-48), has been investigated. The nanoparticles were immobilized in the mesopores via the incorporation of water droplets of the reverse micelles. A particle-sieving effect for FM41 having large (L-FM41, 3.8 nm) and medium (M-FM41, 3.6 nm) pore size was observed, in that the incorporation of the CdS nanoparticles was decreased with increasing particle size and with decreasing pore size of the FM41. Chemical vapor deposition treatment employed to narrow the mesopores of the CdS-FM41 enhanced the stability of CdS nanoparticles against heat treatment. The CdS-FM41 composites demonstrated photocatalytic activity for H(2) generation from 2-propanol aqueous solution, the better photocatalytic activity being obtained with the larger pore size for CdS-L-FM41.
