By using a line narrowed high power tunable laser we have analysed the FIR emission spectrum inside some , compact sQ, sR k-multiplets. Jumps between adjacent k-systems are observed , although tunable emissions of dominant lines are produced. The more favourable gain overlap of the K Raman lines in the fundamental vibrational level induces an off-resonance dominance of this process respect to the standard Raman scattering in the excited vibrational level. The AC Stark splitting has been also observed when the CO2 laser is posed in resonance with the absorption lines.  相似文献

We investigated the effect of the mode composition (longitudinal and transverse modes) of laser radiation on the basic parameters of the stroke pattern formed on a treated surface placed inside a laser cavity. We found that the contrast of the stroke pattern formed by a laser beam with a complex set of longitudinal modes depends, in the first place, on the width of the laser radiation spectrum and the laser cavity length and is virtually independent of the angle of rotation of the beam. In the region of small rotation angles the broadening of strokes caused by the effect of transverse modes becomes predominant. B. I. 对光纤预制棒制备过程中沉积的气体流量、管内压强等参数和光纤掺杂组分进行了研究. 研究发现通过共掺其他元素, 可以使掺镱光纤的荧光谱发生移动. 基于此, 制备了有利于1018 nm激光输出的掺镱双包层光纤. 在增益光纤长度为7 m时, 实现了22.8 W的1018 nm激光输出, 光-光效率接近70%, 并且没有观察到明显的自发辐射和饱和现象. 关键词: 光纤激光器 双包层掺镱光纤 1018 nm  相似文献

In an “oriented gas” model expressions are obtained for the angle of nongyrotropic rotation of the polarization plane (NRPP) of transmitted light by an ensemble of oriented associates consisting of nongyrotropic molecules. The cluster character of the nongyrotropic rotation of the polarization plane and the dependence of its angle on the incident light polarization vector azimuth are noted, which distinguish linear and circular polarization effects. Measurement of linear dichroism by the angle of nongyrotropic rotation of the polarization plane with the use of commercial spectropolarimeters is theoretically justified. We examine the characteristics of a P2O5-doped Raman fiber laser pumped by a double-clad ytterbium-doped fiber laser in an intra-cavity configuration. The double-clad fiber laser consists of two high reflection fiber Bragg gratings at 1092 nm, with an active length of 17 m, where the output grating is located at the end of the 400m P2O5-doped fiber. The Raman cavity is formed by a 1278-nm-high reflection fiber Bragg grating spliced to the double-clad fiber, and a 50% output coupler. The maximum conversion efficiency at 1278 nm with respect to the input pump power at 915 nm was 26.9%.  相似文献

Computer simulation of the processes occurring in a thin layer of absorbing liquid adjoining a transparent dielectric with internal reflection from the interface is carried out for the case where the reflector is incorporated into the resonator of a solid-state laser. It is shown that the process of heating the liquid layer near the wall is essentially nonadiabatic. The sharp increase in the pressure of the liquid in the period of maximal heating leads to a situation where the temperatures of switching on and switching off of the total internal reflection at the interface become substantially different. The difference becomes smaller with decrease in the liquid-layer thickness due to a more efficient heat removal, which displays itself as a change in the character of single-pulse laser generation. Periodic emission of nanosecond pulses in the liquid layer in a quasistationary lasing regime is found, whose characteristic feature is stabilization of the liquid-layer temperature.  相似文献

Laser ablation can be achieved by delivering short power pulse with durations much smaller than the heat diffusion time. In this investigation, we are collimating and magnifying a beam from a CO2 laser with a Keplerian telescopic system. Then we study the quality of the cut performed by scanning the beam at a fast speed over an optical fiber just after focusing a well collimated CO2 beam at λ=10.6 μm. It is found that the best results for cutting optical fibers depend upon both the time required in raising matter temperature to the vaporization point and the scanning speed of the CO2 laser beam. Some aspects of the laser beam collimation before focusing is reviewed briefly and results for optical fibers being cleaved at low and fast speed under various conditions are also shown and discussed.  相似文献

By solving the relativistic Hamilton-Jacobi equation of one electron in classical, circularly polarized, electromagnetic radiation, it is shown that the orbital electronic angular momentum is induced and governed entirely by the novel longitudinal vacuum fieldB (3). The presence of this field in the vacuum is detectible easily in principle by measuring its characteristicsquare root power density dependence using megawatt microwave pulses to magnetize an electron plasma set up in an inert gas such as helium.  相似文献

Third-order nonlinearity induced by femtosecond pulses in ZnTe is investigated experimentally. We employ the transmission z-scan technique, using femtosecond pulses at 810 nm, to determine Kerr-type nonlinearity in ZnTe. Propagation of an elliptical Gaussian beam in a multiple-pass optical cell formed by two twisted cylindrical mirrors has been described by means of complex curvature tensors. Using the ABCD tensor approach various light patterns were computed for the use in tunable laser absorption spectroscopy with a multiple-pass optical cell. Light patterns with high beam-spot density can be also defined for a cavity formed by two twisted cylindrical high-reflectivity mirrors. In order to achieve higher cavity output intensity, a high-reflectivity cylindrical mirror cavity with at least one mirror that has a central transparent spot for laser beam injection has been described for applications in non-resonant cavity enhanced absorption spectroscopy. We propose two schemes for the generation of the Wn state with three atoms separately trapped in two distant cavities coupled by an optical fibre.One is implemented by controlling the interaction time,the other is implemented via the adiabatic passage.The influence of various decoherence processes,such as spontaneous emission of the atoms and photon leakages of the cavities and the optical fibre,on the fidelity is also investigated.It is found that the Wn state can be generated with high fidelity even when these decoherence processes are present.  相似文献

The method of Das developed recently to analyse elastic scattering of electrons by atoms has been extended in the present paper to inelastic scatterings. The method has been applied for the computation of 2S-excitation, cross-sections at two typical intermediate energiesviz. 54.4 eV and 100 eV energies. 超短超强激光打靶产生的超热电子,与固体靶相互作用时会产生Kα线辐射.由经典定标律给出了法线方向超热电子的温度.利用蒙特卡罗方法,对超热电子在固体靶中的传输进行了研究,模拟了不同靶厚度情况下Kα产额和角分布及不同电子温度下Kα光子的转化效率.计算结果与实验符合较好.结果表明:在一定电子温度下,随着靶厚度的增加Kα光子产额会达到饱和,并会使Kα光子发射的各向异性变得更加严重;存在最佳的电子温度,使Kα线转化效率最高. 关键词: 超短超强激光 超热电子 蒙特卡罗方法 Kα线')" href="#">Kα线  相似文献

The role of charge carriers in ZnO2/CuO2 planes of Cu0.5Tl0.5Ba2Ca3Cu4−yZnyO12−δ material in bringing about superconductivity has been explained. Due to suppression of anti-ferromagnetic order with Zn 3d10 (S=0) substitution at Cu 3d9 sites in the inner CuO2 planes of Cu0.5Tl0.5Ba2Ca3Cu4O12−δ superconductor, the distribution of charge carriers becomes homogeneous and optimum, which is evident from the enhanced superconductivity parameters. The decreased c-axis length with the increase of Zn doping improves interlayer coupling and hence the three dimensional (3D) conductivity in the unit cell is enhanced. Also the softening of phonon modes with the increased Zn doping indicates that the electron–phonon interaction has an essential role in the mechanism of high-Tc superconductivity in these compounds.  相似文献
