In a linear formulation, a study is made of the influence of a longitudinally compressed elastic isotropic plate on the nonstationary wave motion of a stream of homogeneous liquid of finite depth on which the plate floats. The waves are generated by periodic (in time) normal stresses applied to a restricted region of the plate surface and beginning at a certain initial time.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 68–75, September–October, 1980.  相似文献

A study is made of the radial motion of a vapor envelope surrounding an isolated spherical particle in an unbounded mass of liquid. It is assumed that the liquid is viscous and incompressible and that the temperature is distributed uniformly in the solid particle. A model of a calorifically perfect gas is used for the vapor phase. The same assumptions are made as in Rayleigh's formulation for the problem of the dynamics of a single bubble: that the process is spherically symmetric and that the pressure P2 (t) in the vapor phase is homogeneous. The justification for making these assumptions in problems of the dynamics of gas, vapor, and vaporgas bubbles is discussed in [1–5]. In this paper, the collapse of the vapor layer and the boiling of the liquid on the surface of the heated particle are not considered.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 154–157, July–August, 1985.  相似文献

Sound generation by a laser beam within a liquid, related to liquid boiling at absorption centers, has been studied relatively little. Acoustic effects upon liquid boiling in a laser beam were first reported in [1]. A change in the index of refraction of a liquid has been observed under the action of acoustical radiation of microbubbles formed on absorbing particles in the zone irradiated by a laser beam [2–4]. However direct measurements of acoustical radiation from a set of microbubbles uniformly distributed over the volume of laser beam-liquid interaction has yet to be performed, to the authors' knowledge. The present study is a preliminary report of results of an experimental study of this class of opticoacoustical phenomena.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 1, pp. 9–12, January–February, 1984.In conclusion, the authors consider it their pleasant duty to thank G. A. Askar'yan for evaluating the study and S. V. Luk'yanov for assistance in measuring the particle size distribution.  相似文献

A study is made of the plane-eddyless motion of an ideal incompressible liquid with the vertical uniformly accelerated immersion of a body, whose bottom is deformed in accordance with a given law. The method of solution of [1] is used. Dependences are given for calculating the pressures, the forces of the resistance to the immersion, and the forms of the free surface.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 136–137, September–October, 1974.  相似文献

This paper presents asymptotic formulas describing the evolution of short–wave perturbations on the surface of a cylindrical viscous liquid jet with the radius decreasing in time. The effects of Reynolds and Weber numbers and the initial wavenumber on the decay of the perturbations are analyzed.  相似文献

Considerable interest attaches to the study of a jet of viscous liquid in a field of body forces that depend on an axial coordinate. Such flows are realized when slag cotton is obtained by the action on a molten mineral of the centrifugal force of drums rotating in the vertical plane [1]. The behavior of a film of liquid on a rotating cylinder was considered in [2, 3]. The instability of a molten layer and jet separation are explained on the basis of the Taylor mechanism in [4]. In the present paper, a particular solution is given for accelerating nonisothermal jets of a viscous incompressible liquid. This solution is used to explain the dynamics of jet separation from a uniformly rotating drum. The flow stability is analyzed.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 27–36, September–October, 1980.We thank A. A. A two-dimensional problem of the flow of a gas containing an impurity through a porous medium is considered. At the initial time, the gas containing a uniformly distributed impurity is at a high pressure in a spherical cavity in a porous medium at a certain distance from a flat surface. It is assumed that for t > the motion of the carrier gas is described by the system of equations for flow in a porous medium and the dispersion of the impurity is described by the equations of convective diffusion and nonequilibrium adsorption. A numerical method for solving the problem is discussed. Some results of calculations are given. The influence of the flat surface on the flow of the gas and the dispersion of the impurity is analyzed.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 61–67, September–October, 1982.We thank V. The dynamics of a nonuniformly conducting gas flow in the channel of a MHD generator are investigated on the basis of numerical modeling. The initial shape of the plasmoids periodically entering the MHD channel qualitatively correspond to that noted in [6, 7]. The alkali metal seed is uniformly distributed over the entire flow. The mechanism of dynamic interaction of the plasmoids and the low-conductivity gas flowing over them, the variation of the shape of the plasmoids and the evolution of the gas dynamic structure of the flow are studied.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 135–145, September–October, 1989.  相似文献

The aim of the paper is to create a mathematical model of the hydroelastic interaction of a wedge-shaped construction with a liquid that it enters. The various relevant factors — velocity and acceleration of elastic vibrations, influence of catinary forces, initial bending, and mobility of brackets — are to be taken into account as fully as possible.Translated from Izvestiya Rossiiskoi Akademii Nauk, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 118–125, May–June, 1993.  相似文献

In [1–5] boundary-layer methods were used to solve problems concerned with the equilibrium and motion of a liquid with surface tension in a strong gravitational field (for large Bond numbers Bo). In the present paper we apply these methods to problems involving the equilibrium shape of a uniformly rotating liquid, contained in a cylindrical container of arbitrary cross section or in a container which is a surface of revolution about the z axis. Both of these problems reduce to the asymptotic integration of an equation with a small parameter involving a quasilinear elliptic operator with a nonlinear boundary condition. In the second case, owing to radial symmetry, the equation for the problem goes over into an ordinary equation; however, the wetted boundary is not known beforehand. This boundary, together with the equilibrium shape, is also determined asymptotically.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 3–12, November–December, 1973.The authors thank L. Axisymmetric flow of thin pure liquid film on a spinning horizontal annular disk is studied under the action of air shear at the liquid–air interface and evaporation. The non-linear evolution equation that is obtained by singular perturbation method is solved analytically, for small Reynolds number, by using the method of characteristic and numerically by the use of Newton–Kantorovich method for any Reynolds number. Font breakdown time and its location from the center of the disk is predicted both by analytically and numerically. The result shows that the thinning of the initial film increases as air stress increase, same result is also escalated in presence of evaporation.  相似文献

Equations which describe the evolution of the bubble spectrum in the process of cavitational fragmentation by a shock wave reflected from a free liquid surface are formulated. As an example, the effect of artificial saturation of the initial fluid with large bubbles on the dispersity of a liquid-drop gas suspension focused by dispersion is investigated.Translated from Izvestiya Rossiiskoi Akademii Nauk, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No.3, pp. 51–58, May–June, 1992.  相似文献

The article discusses the problem of the motion of an incompressible liquid in a boundary layer on a blade rotating uniformly around an axis perpendicular to the swing of the blade. A parametric method is used to solve the problem, and three series of parameters are introduced, on which depend the characteristics of the boundary layer. A corresponding system of universal equations is set up, which is integrated over a broad range of change in the parameters. The results obtained permit investigating the principal laws governing flow in a boundary layer on a rotating blade. The effect of rotation on breakaway and other characteristics of the boundary layer is clarified.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 84–93, March–April, 1971.  相似文献

One of the simple mathematical models in the theory of the deformation of continuous media in an explosion is the solid—liquid model [1, 2]. This does not describe the dynamics of the ground and so enables us to determine only approximate characteristics of the crater. This model has now been used to study a wide range of problems in determining a crater in a continuous medium with various tensile properties and various positions of the explosive [3–5]. We consider below within the framework of the solid—liquid model boundary-value problems in determining a crater in the explosions of point explosives and uniformly distributed explosives on the surface and deep within an isotropic ground with angular and curvilinear free boundaries. The desirability of studying problems such as these was pointed out by Il'inski.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 3–9, January–February, 1985.  相似文献

The flow arising in an incompressible liquid if, at the initial moment of time, a plate of finite length starts to move with a constant velocity in its plane, is discussed. For the case of an infinite plate, there is a simple exact solution of the Navier—Stokes equations, obtained by Rayleigh. The case of the motion of a semiinfinite plate has also been discussed by a number of authors. Approximate solutions have been obtained in a number of statements; for the complete unsteadystate equations of the boundary layer the statement was investigated by Stewartson (for example, [1–3]); a numerical solution of the problem by an unsteady-state method is given in [4]. The main stress in the present work is laid on investigation of the region of the interaction between a nonviscous flow and the boundary layer near the end of a plate. In passing, a solution of the problem is obtained for a wake, and a new numerical solution is also given for the boundary layer at the plate.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 3–8, March–April, 1977.  相似文献

A numerical investigation is made of the development of initial perturbations in a thin film of viscous liquid. It is shown that the resulting wave structure passes through complicated intermediate shapes such as solitons in which there are elevations and depressions of the surface, At large times, a wave regime is formed that is close to the optimal regime with respect to the wave number. The picture of the intermediate wave forms depends on the initial data, while the final result of the development depends weakly on the initial data.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 151–154, May–June, 1981.We thanks A. In planning for the underground storing of liquid hydrocarbons and calculating the technological parameters of underground reservoirs formed by leeching from a rock salt massif, it is necessary to understand the hydrodynamic and heat transfer processes produced by natural convection. The paper is devoted to numerical study of the initial stage of convective heat transfer in a vertical cylindrical cavity completely filled with a liquid hydrocarbon. It is assumed that at the initial time the temperature of the liquid, which is at rest, is homogeneous, Convective flow develops in part due to the initial temperature difference between the liquid and the massif and partly due to the geothermal temperature gradient in the latter. The problem is regarded as coupled, the convective process in the liquid being determined simultaneously with the solution of the heat-conduction problem in the surrounding rock. The Grashof numbers characterizing the intensity of the real process are very large: G lO12–lO15. A numerical solution was obtained for moderate Grashof numbers G lO7–lO11. The asymptotic dependences for the integral characteristics of the unsteady process obtained in a series of calculations were extrapolated to the real values of the Grashof number.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 143–148, March–April, 1981.  相似文献

The article discusses the plane unsteady-state problem of the development of a region of turbulent pulsations in an incompressible stratified liquid. At the initial moment of time, the energy of the turbulence is given inside a region of finite dimensions. A semiempirical system of equations describing this process is proposed. The article gives the data from numerical calculations, illustrating the original expansion of the region as a result of turbulent diffusion, its subsequent compression along a vertical (collapse) under the action of the forces of buoyancy, and the internal waves generated by the collapse. The work was reported at the International Symposium on Stratified Flows (Novosibirsk, August 29–31, 1972).Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 45–52, May–June, 1974.  相似文献

The evolution of a small distortion of the spherical shape of a gas bubble which undergoes strong radial expansion-compression upon a single oscillation of the ambient liquid pressure under a harmonic law are analyzed by numerical experiments. It is assumed that the distortions of the spherical bubble shape are axisymmetric and have the form of individual spherical surface harmonics with numbers of 2–5. Bubble-shape oscillations prior to the beginning of expansion are taken into account. Generally, the distortion value during bubble expansion-compression depends on the phase of bubble-shape oscillation at the beginning of the expansion (initial phase). Emphasis is placed on the dependence of the maximum distortions in the initial phase at certain characteristic times of bubble expansion-compression on the amplitude of the external excitation, liquid viscosity, and distortion mode (harmonic number). The parameters of the problem are typical of the stable periodic sonolumiescence of an individual air bubble in water at room temperature. An exception is the liquid pressure oscillation amplitude, which is varied up to values that are five times the static pressure. That large excitation amplitudes are beyond the stability threshold of periodic oscillations of spherical bubbles. Their consideration is of interest from the point of view of increasing the compression ratio of the bubble gas, i. e., increasing the maximum temperature and density achievable in the final compression stage.__________Translated from Prikladnaya Mekhanika i Tekhnicheskaya Fizika, Vol. 46, No. 4, pp. 17–28, July–August, 2005.  相似文献
