The production of electrons by bottom and charm hadrons has been studied in e+e? annihilation at 34.6 GeV center of mass energy. It is observed that the b quark fragmentation function is peaked at large values of the scaling variable z with 〈zb〉 = 0.84+0.15 + 0.15?0.10 ? 0.11. For c quarks 〈zc〉 = 0.57+0.10 + 0.05?0.09 ? 0.06 is observed. A forward-backward charge asymmetry of A = ?0.25 ± 0.22 was measured in b production.  相似文献

Magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) and X-ray absorption spectra (XAS) at the Co L2,3-edge of [Co/Pd]20 and [CoB/Pd]20 multilayered films, which were fabricated at 260 °C with different magnetic layer thicknesses (δ), have been measured. The lineshapes of XAS–MCD show that the electronic state of Co 3d of the films hardly changes even when sputtered at higher temperatures. The expectation values of orbital and spin angular momentum (〈Lz〉 and 〈Sz〉) are estimated using the sum rule, and it is found that 〈Lz〉/〈Sz〉 in δ<0.5 nm is larger than that in δ>0.5 nm.  相似文献

From the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation of the out-of-layer 19F nuclei in magnetic fields perpendicular to the c-axis the low-frequency component of the autocorrelation function 〈Sz(t)Sz(O)〉 of Ni in ordered K2Mn0.975Ni0.025F4 is found to be substantially reduced relative to the Mn host. The experimental rates vs temperature are in accord with those for relaxation involving two spin excitations calculated with local Green's functions.  相似文献

The simplified rate equations for electronic polarization of alkali atoms in the hyperfine ground states are shown for circularly polarizedD 1 andD 2 lines in the limit of weak pumping. The rate equations include effects due to collisional and spin exchange relaxation of atoms in the ground state. Analytical forms of the repopulation pumping terms are shown assuming the standardJ-randomization model for relaxation of alkali atoms in resonant2 P J states and neglecting energy transfer. Analyses of the analytical steady state solutions have been performed to determine the conditions at which the longitudinal electronic orientation of alkali atoms 〈S z〉 and the orientation of atoms in hyperfine sublevels 〈S z f pass through zero.  相似文献

By using a modified Robertson projection technique an exact equation of motion for the expectation value of the population inversion operatorS z of a single two-level atom in the case of spontaneous emission is derived. Afterwards, by making the Markov approximation, it is shown that the ground state expectation value〈S z t =? 1/2 fort→∞ will be reached only if the rotating-wave approximation or the Born approximation is made additionally.  相似文献

A simple difference equation for one type of correlators has been obtained by the method of direct calculation of the correlation functions (CF). It is correct for the Ising model of an arbitrary dimension with the exactness O(1z) (z-number of particles covered by the interaction potential). The equation obtained is used to calculate the pair CF 〈SzfSzj〉 in the three-dimensional Ising model with long-range forces which are of importance when dealing with the applied magnetic problems. The results of the calculations lead to corrections in the Ornstein-Zernike (OZ) theory.  相似文献

Bounds on 〈E?n〉/〈E+n〈, 〉E+E?〈/〉E22〈 and 〈E+E?〉/〈E+〉〈E?〉 are direved for the processes νμN → μ?μ+(e+) + X and μN → μ?μ+ + X if dileptons are mediated by a spin-12 heavy neutral lepton L0. The bounds are shown to be independent of the production mechanism and mass of L0. Useful conditional bounds are obtained relating the bounded quantities, which give information about the structure of the weak current responsible for L0 decay.  相似文献

Theβ-moments of the 7/2+(1.176 MeVβ ?)3/2+ transition in the decay of137Cs have been extracted from the available experimental data. We have obtained the following values: 〈R ij 〉/R 2=0.035±0.020, 〈iT ij 〉/R 2=0.067±0.036, and ?0.085≦〈S ijk ~>/R 2≦0.085. These results show that theβ-moments are reduced with respect to those evaluated by means of the conventional pairing model. These quenching effects are similar to those previously found in the analyses of first-forbiddenβ-decays and are attributed to residual charge-exchange interactions. The results forΛ(=?〈iA ij 〉/ξR ij 〉) are discussed in the light of the predicitons of the CVC theory.  相似文献

Maximal and total skew information is studied. For symmetric pure states of two-qubit, they are closely related to the linear entropy, the concurrence, and the spin squeezing parameter. For a two-qubit system implemented in three nonlinear interaction models with an external field, we give the exact state vectors and the expectation value 〈Sz〉 at any time t. Based on 〈Sz2, we give the maximal and the total skew information and a condition in which the maximal and the total skew information can reach 1 and 2, respectively.  相似文献

An approximation dependence of the spontaneous magnetic moment at a site, σ/σ(0) ? 1 = and the antiferromagnet-singlet state phase boundary, J 2/J 1 = 0.52(3)δ, are determined by the quantum Monte Carlo method in the self-consistent sublattice molecular field approximation for weakly inter-acting (J 2) antiferromagnetic chains with spin S = 1/2 and alternating exchange interaction (J 1 ± δ). The Néél temperature and a number of critical temperatures which could be related with the filling energy of two singlets (ΔS z = 0) and one triplet (ΔS z = 1) spin bands, each of which is split by the sublattice field (h x, yh z into two subbands, are determined on the basis of the computed correlation radii of the two-and four-spin correlation function, the squared total spin 〈 (S z)2〉 with respect to the longitudinal components, the dimerization parameter, and the correlation functions between the nearest neighbors with respect to longitudinal and transverse spin components. On the basis of the Monte Carlo calculations, the critical temperatures and possible energy gaps at the band center are determined for the antiferromagnets CuWO4 and Bi2CuO4 and for the singlet compounds (VO)2P2O7 and CuGeO3, agreeing satisfactorily with existing results, and new effects are also predicted.  相似文献

The thermally activated valence fluctuations of Eu3S4 and Sm3S4 have been studied using light scattering and photoluminescence techniques and are compared with measurements on the non-fluctuating compound Eu3O4, Eu3S4 exhibits an anomalous vibrational mode which is associated with the frequency factor of hopping, ν2=1.3×1013 sec?1. In Sm3S4 electronic Raman scattering is observed within the 7F9 multiplet of the Sm2+ ion. An anomalous frequency shift of the5d-4f photoluminescence emission band in Eu3S4 is related to the temperature dependent fluctuation rate which passes through the reference time scale of the photoluminescence. Intra-4f photoluminescence has also been observed in Eu3S4 and Sm3S4.  相似文献

A mass-dependent asymmetry was observed in the decay angular distribution of a photoproduced K+K? system near the K+K? threshold. The corresponding moments 〈Y10〉 have been evaluated. Interpreting the asymmetry as an S-P wave interface due to the states S9931(0+) and ø1019(1?) one can compute the moments 〈Y10〉 through an amplitude analysis. The theoretical calculation reproduces the experimental results well, if one assumes a real S-wave amplitude for the S9931. The data cannot be explained by a non-resonant real S-wave. Other possibilities have been discussed. An estimate of the photoproduction cross section of the S1K+K? can be given on the basis of the above hypothesis.  相似文献

The British-French-Scandinavian collaboration has recently studied the non trigger charged mean momentum in different rapidity regions on the trigger hemisphere, 〈p x〉, in the collision of two hadrons at the CERN Intersecting Storing Rings (ISR). In particular, they give for the rapidity regions |y|<0.5 and |y|<1 the values of the slope, α, of 〈p x〉 with the trigger momentum,p T t . Several authors have analysed those values of α in the framework of hard scattering models which predict values independent ofp T t for 〈z c〉, the longitudinal momentum fraction of the outgoing hard scattered system taken by the trigger. From this analysis they give estimates of 〈z c〉 of very difficult reconcilliation with those calculated in the Feynman, Field and Fox hard scattering model or in the QCD treatment of highp T hadron production. The authors of the present paper have looked for, and found, other data whose model independent analysis is more feasible than that of the data mentioned above. More specifically, we analyse in the framework of the hard scattering models, but otherwise model independently, data on 〈p x〉 in two other rapidity regions (|y|<3, 2<|y|<3) and find that consistence of the average slopes, α, in these two regions is only achieved with mean values of 〈z c〉 significantly, increasing withp T t and close in value to those obtained by Feynman et al. S0Rb and 〈S0Cs relaxation is studied in the presence of buffer gas and spin exchange between Cs and Rb. Spin exchange collisions are found to equalize the relaxation rates of Rb and Cs polarization. In Kondo systems, de Haas-van Alphen experiments determine a spin-splitting term in the conduction-electron self-energy. It is shown that for all temperatures and magnetic fields, and in the presence of normal potential scattering, spin-splitting of Landau levels is given exactly with:
Re Σ↓(0) - Re Σ↑(0) = cJ〈SzK
Σ(0) is the conduction-electron self-energy at the Fermi level and 〈SzK is the expectation value for the impurity spin including Kondo effects.  相似文献
