Total cross sections and angular distributions in the 6Li(p,3He)4He reaction have been measured over the energy range Ep = 100?700 keV. The extrapolation of the cross section to the energy region which is of interest in controlled thermonuclear reactors is given. The values of the “astrophysical S-function” are deduced from the cross sections. 相似文献

Angular distributions of the 3He analysing power and differential cross section were measured for the 2H(3He, 4He)1H reaction at incident 3He lab energies of 27 and 33 MeV. Analysis of this and other data suggest the presence of a broad resonance, or resonances, around 28 MeV excitation in 5Li. The evidence for the dominant M-matrix elements involving a change in channel spin (i.e. the ΔS = ?1 rule) is examined and also the question is investigated as to whether the data can be consistently explained without requiring tensor forces in the interaction. 相似文献

A study of the 12C(9Be, n)20Ne reaction has been carried out at bombarding energies of 16 and 24 MeV. The spectra at both incident energies are dominated by a consistent set of levels between an excitation energy of 7.3 ± 0.4 and 15.7 ± 0.3 MeV. The rotational band based on the Kπ = 03+ state appears to be strongly populated. Based on this selectivity, additional evidence is provided in favor of identification of the 8+ state at 15.9 MeV with this 03+ band. Angular distributions measured at the higher bombarding energy are compared with statistical compound-nuclear calculations. It appears that a non-statistical mechanism is responsible for the reaction's selective population of states with 8p-4h configuration. Such a mechanism, involving the preferential breakup of the 9Be into 8Be plus a neutron, is discussed. 相似文献

The cross section for the radiative capture reaction 3He(4He, γ)7Be has been measured at 525 keV in the centre-of-mass by detection of prompt capture γ- rays. The targets were 3He-implanted Nb foils that allowed us to circumvent the experimental difficulties inherent in the use of extended gas cells for absolute measurements. The results give an inferred zero-energy cross-section factor of S34(0) = 0.47 ± 0.04 keV · b. The present result is compared with results from previous capture γ-ray yield and 7Be-activity methods of measuring the cross-section factor. 相似文献

Cross sections for the 3He(α, γ)7Be reaction have been measured at several energies from Ec.m. = 165 to 1169 keV by counting prompt γ-rays from a windowless, differentially pumped, recirculating, 3He gas target. The cross-section factor S34(Ec.m.) and branching ratio γ1/γ0 were determined at each energy. Cross sections were also measured at Ec.m. = 947 and 1255 keV by counting the γ-rays from the 7Be produced in a 3He gas cell with a Ni entrance foil. Combining the results of these two independent experiments yields a zero-energy intercept for the cross-section factor of S34(0) = 0.53 ± 0.03 keV · b. The relationship between these measurements and several theoretical calculations, and the import of the extrapolated cross section for the solar-neutrino problem are discussed. 相似文献

Effects of exchange and final-state interactions in the reactions 2H(3He, 3H p)p and 2H(3He, 3He p)n

Absolute coincidence cross sections for the 2H(3He, 3He p)n and 2H(3He,3H p)p reactions were measured at EHe = 35.9 MeV. Spectra dominated by the nucleon-nucleon final-state interaction (FSI) are fitted by a fully antisymmetrized PWBA theory which includes the effects of FSI in all its matrix elements. Previously reported 26.8 MeV data showing both FSI and quasi-elastic scattering (both with and without charge exchange) are also fitted by the theory, which qualitatively describes the shapes of all these spectra and the ratios of the cross sections for the various processes. Predictions of Watson-Migdal theory are fitted to the FSI spectra and differences between the two theories are analyzed. 相似文献

Three-body break-up in n-p final-state interaction regions has been investigated through the reactions . In all cases, the proton and the neutron were detected at the same angle in a kinematically complete experiment for a deuteron bombarding energy of 27.5 MeV. Helium and deuterium gas targets in a small gas cell cooled with liquid nitrogen were used. No indication of any possible contribution from the (isospin-forbidden) 1S0 p-n final-state interaction was observed in the first three reactions. For the 3He + d reaction, the data shown pronounced enhancements due to the p-n final-state interaction. In the forward regions the observed peaks are broader than the predictions of final-state interaction models. 相似文献

Angular distributions of the charge exchange reaction 14C(6Li, 6He)14N leading to the 1+ ground state and 3.95 MeV 1+, and 5.20 MeV 2? excited states at the 34 MeV incident beam energy were analyzed and measured. The 62 MeV data of Goodman et al. were also reanalyzed. The direct one-step charge exchange caused by the spin-isospin dependent term in the two-body interaction can account well for the observed data. The strength of spin-isospin dependent effective interaction (gaussian form with a range parameter of 1.8 fm) was extracted to be 18.5 MeV. 相似文献

The nucleus 11B has been studied over the excitation energy range from 8.5 MeV to 21.5 MeV with the 9Be(3He, p)11B / reaction at / E3He = 38 MeV. The analogs of the parent states in 11Be have been located at 12.56, 12.92, 14.40, 16.44, 17.69, 18.0, 19.15 and 21.27 MeV. A complementary measurement with the 9Be(α, d)11B reaction at Eα = 48 MeV demonstrates that the 16.44, 17.69, 18.0 and 19.15 MeV resonances have rather pure isospin . The 14.40 MeV state is a strongly isospin-mixed analog of the state in 11Be. It is argued that spin S = 1 transfer is involved in the excitation of the 16.44 MeV state and its 3.887 MeV parent in 11Be in a two-step stripping process. The states and the lowest three states are compared with the predictions of DWBA utilizing shell-model form factors. It is concluded that the strength is more strongly fragmented than is implied by the calculations of Teeters and Kurath. 相似文献

The structure of 92Nb has been investigated using the 33.8 MeV 92Zr(3He, t) and (3He, p2nγ) reactions. Several previously unobserved levels, including several belonging to the multiplet, are reported. The results are discussed in terms of the shell model. 相似文献

We have examined the role of inelastic processes in the 19F(3He, d)20Ne reaction. By coupling three levels in both the entrance and exit channels it was found that the inelastic processes were able to account for both the magnitude and rather flat shape of the angular distribution for the 4.25 MeV 4+ level observed in the 19F(3He, d)20Ne reaction at 16 MeV bombarding energy. In contrast the DWBA could not account for the data. The magnitude of the inelastic processes was found to be quite sensitive to some of the optical model parameters involved. The DWBA predictions for the 0+ and 2+ cross sections were modified by the inelastic processes requiring some adjustment of the spectroscopic amplitudes to account for the data. 相似文献

The relative differential cross sections have been measured for the 2H(d, p)3H and the 2H(d, n)3He reactions from 300 keV to 700 keV in 50 keV steps. Angular distributions of all charged particles from the reactions were taken from 20° to 160° in the laboratory system. Energy-dependent asymmetry coefficients from the expansion of the centre-of-mass angular distributions in terms of even powers of cos θ were obtained as were the branching ratios between the two reaction modes. The different energy dependences of the moments of the two cross sections were used to test the need for the existence of a recently reported T = 0 state in 4He. 相似文献

Excitation functions at 7° (lab) have been measured from Ec.m. = 5.1 to 11.4 MeV in approximately 114 keV steps for 15 groups of final states in 17O populated by the 12C(9Be, α) reaction. Statistical tests have been used to locate possible non-statistical structure in the excitation functions. Possible anomalies were found near Ec.m. = 6.3, 7.5, 8.9 and 9.7 MeV. Angular distributions were measured at Ec.m. = 9.20, 9.71 and 10.23 MeV for the three lowest excited states in 17O. The data have been compared with Hauser-Feshbach calculations in addition to the following reaction mechanisms: compound plus a single resonance, compound plus interfering resonances and compound plus direct reactions. 相似文献

High-spin states have been located in 151Sm by means of the (α, 3He) reaction with 40 MeV α-particles. The scattered particles were momentum analyzed in a QMG/2 magnetic spectrometer and recorded in a position sensitive detector. Several high-spin states were observed in the energy range below 1.7 MeV excitation. The previously unknown strongly populated levels at 867 and 1480 keV can most likely be interpreted as states. Both the deduced nuclear structure factors and the energy location of these levels are in excellent agreement with a simple Coriolis coupling calculation. 相似文献

Energy levels of the even-mass odd nucleus 96Tc have been populated with the 95Mo(3He, d)96Tc reaction at a bombarding energy of 33.6 MeV and with 28 keV resolution (FWHM). Thirty levels were observed below 2.10 MeV excitation. Comparison of experimental angular distributions with DWBA calculations allowed l-value assignments and the extraction of spectroscopic factors for most levels. Over eighty-five percent of the observed spectroscopic strength is located in the lowlying configuration multiplet. A simple residual interaction shell model calculation reproduces the observed low-lying positive parity multiplet relatively well although the experimental spectrum indicates much configuration mixing is present. 相似文献

Low-lying levels of 86Y have been investigated using the 86Sr(3He, t) reaction at 42.8 MeV. Jπ values or limits were assigned to 20 of the 23 levels observed below 1.5 MeV through the use of collective DWBA calculations or experimental (3He, t) reaction systematics. The angular distributions of deuterons from the 6Li(α, d)8Be reaction corresponding to the 0+ ground state and the 2.9 MeV (2+) state in8Be have been measured at Eα = 17.3, 23.3 and 25.1 MeV. The excitation functions for this reaction have been measured at seven emission angles in the region from 12 up to 25 MeV. The experimental angular distributions are compared with theoretical predictions obtained using DWBA stripping calculations and the plane wave approximation (PWA) for various direct processes. It is shown that the experimental angular distributions can be described throughout the angular region using the simple mechanisms associated with the break-up of the 6Li target nuc clusters and heavy-particle stripping. The interference of these processes is taken into account. 相似文献

Excited states of 16F have been investigated with the reaction 14N(3He, np)15O at E = 10.5 and 12 MeV in kinematically complete experiments. Proton groups corresponding to the decays of intermediate 16F states were observed at various angles with counter telescopes in time coincidence with the associated neutrons detected at θnlab = 0° with a time-of-flight spectrometer. Excitation energies and decay widths Γp0 of these states have been extracted from the proton spectra. Lower limits for the orbital angular momentum in the decay channel and for the spin of the states have been deduced from the obtained angular correlations. By comparison with the reaction 14N(3He, pp)15N measured at E = 13 MeV, pairs of parent/16O analog states have been identified. Jπ assignments and shell-model configurations are discussed on the basis of the selectivity of the reactions measured. 相似文献

Results from a CCBA analysis of the 28Si(d, 3He)27Al reaction are reported. The transfers are assumed to occur between dominant components of (λμ) symmetry (0, 12) and (2, 10) in the initial and final nuclear eigenstates respectively. The results show that cross sections to four of the six levels observed below 3 MeV can be fairly well reproduced within a pure K(J) band framework. However, consistent with electromagnetic results, all six levels can be fit if the K(J) band purity of the analysis, SU(3) model. states and state is abandoned. 相似文献

The 42Ca(α, 3He)43Ca reaction has been studied at 36 MeV incident energy. Angular distributions have been measured from 4° to 42° using a split-pole spectrometer and position sensitive Si detectors, for about 40 levels located up to 6 MeV excitation energy. A local zero-range DWBA analysis has been carried out; l = 3 and 4 assignments are tentatively proposed for levels located above 4 MeV excitation energy, indicating a strong fragmentation of the strength between 4 and 6 MeV and the location of the main component of the strength above 6 MeV. A number of weakly excited levels cannot be reproduced by DWBA analysis. Their angular distributions have been compared with the results of coupled-reaction-channel calculations assuming two-step excitation of weak coupling states with a [42Ca1 ? structure. A reasonable agreement has been obtained, confirming that the two-step process cannot be neglected in the analysis of the (α, 3he) reaction. 相似文献
