The polarizations of neutrons from the 16O(d, n0)17F and 16O(d, n1 17F reactions have been measured at 30° (lab) in steps of approximately 0.15 MeV from Ed = 3.96 to 5.35 MeV. Polarization angular distributions have been obtained at 3.96 and 5.35 MeV. It is determined that the random phase approximation for the scattering amplitudes is not appropriate for the compound nucleus contributions. The analysis indicates probable interference between the compound nucleus and direct interaction reaction mechanisms.  相似文献

In an earlier paper, the cross section for a direct reaction to a generalised positive-energy final state, described by an R-matrix wave function, was derived. Here a distinction is emphasised between two classes of such a reaction, depending on whether it can or cannot decay back to the target state. A major contribution in the latter case can be via direct break-up. This is computed for the reaction 7Li(3He, d)8Be(p)7Li, treated by a stripping mechanism. The dependence of the cross section on the final-state (8Be) channel energy is discussed. The present work uses shell-model wave functions for R-matrix basis states, and this is shown to be appropriate and useful for direct reactions.  相似文献

The 3He(τ,γ)6Be capture reaction has been studied for 3He bombarding energies from 12 to 27, MeV. Transitions to the first excited state in 6Be(T = 1, 2+) are readily seen. Transitions to the ground state in 6Be (T = 1, 0+) are very weak and their presence could not be ascertained. The 90° excitation function for these transitions shows a broad maximum centered at Eτ = 23 ±1 MeV. This is interpreted as a resonance in the compound nucleus 6Be at Ex = 23.0±0.5 MeV with a configuration other than 3He+3He. These results are compared with other experimental work as well as with theoretical predictions.  相似文献

Angular distributions of protons from the 35Cl(3He, p)37Ar reaction have been measured at bombarding energies between 9 and 14 MeV. The 14 MeV data are compared with DWBA calculations based on various sets of shell-model wave functions.  相似文献

The polarization Py for the 3H(p, n)3He reaction was measured for energies between 2 and 4 MeV. Special care was given to minimizing the effects of background and to interpreting the experimental spectra. The new values for Py are significantly higher than previous values, and comparison to the available data for the analyzing power Ay for the same reaction now shows that in this energy range Py and Ay are equal within experimental uncertainties. This equality negates earlier conclusions that sizeable differences existed between these observables. In particular, our new results demonstrate that in this reaction the effects of charge symmetry breaking on differences between these observables must be small.  相似文献

The n+d breakup cross section has been measured between 8 and 22 MeV by integrating the energy distributions of breakup protons and recoil deuterons observed in a deuterated scintillator. The results obtained deviate from the trend suggested by recent measurements of the cross section for proton-induced breakup and favour predictions based on a local N-N potential having a hard core in the singlet state.  相似文献

The differential cross section for the 6Li(π+, pp)4He reaction for symmetrical coplanar kinematics has been calculated at the incident pion energy Eπ = 70 MeV within the three-body problem + 2N taking into account the Pauli exclusion principle in each N subsystem. Three-body distortions in the final state have been taken into account in the eikonal approximation. The treatment is based on the superposition of the single-particle and two-particle mechanisms of absorption leading to the rescattering of the π- and ρ-mesons through the Δ-isobar. The analytical character of the adopted wave function for the 6Li nucleus (the multidimensional gaussian basis) makes it possible to ascertain clearly that the reaction amplitude of the type under study is insensitive to short-range NN correlations both in the initial and final states. The calculated momentum distribution of recoil -particles is in good agreement with the experimental data available, but the experimental accuracy should be improved in order to see the contribution of a specific three-body part of the 6Li wave function orthogonal to the ad channel. Some problems to be solved in future are discussed.  相似文献

The spectroscopic factors for the levels of73,75,77,79,81As have been measured in the Se(d, 3He)As reactions at 25.2 MeV. The proton occupation numbers deduced for the even Se isotopes show that the striking change in proton configuration, observed for the Ge isotopes between N ? 40 and N ? 42, does persist for the Se isotopes. This change is not reproduced, either by a model calculation using spectral distribution methods or by proton wave functions recently suggested for the Se isotopes to explain the results of the Se(d, 6Li)Ge reactions.  相似文献

Angular distributions of six polarization transfer coefficients Kxx′(θ), kxz′(θ), Kzx?(θ), Kzz?(θ), and Kyyy?(θ); of the four analyzing powers Ay(θ), Axx(θ), Ayy(θ), and Azz(θ); and of the polarization function Pý(θ), have been measured atEd = 10.00 MeV for the reaction 2H(d, n)3He. Measurements were made for neutron lab angles between 0° and 80° in 10° steps. Additionally the y-axis associated quantities were measured at θ1ab = 99°. Most of the measured coefficients are large at some angles and all show considerable variation with angle.  相似文献

The reaction 125Te(d, p)126Te has been studied at a bombarding energy of 7.5 MeV in order to get information about the 126Te nuclear level scheme. Forty-two levels were observed below an excitation energy of 5.1 MeV. The angular distributions of 25 of the emitted proton groups were compared with DWBA calculations to determine the angular momentum of the captured neutrons. Contributions from more than one ln value were observed for two of the transitions. Transition strengths were extracted and compared to pairing-theory calculations.  相似文献

Proton-proton bremsstrahlung cross sections were measured at 33°-33° and 8.5°-8.5° with a coplanar symmetric geometry. A comparison between experimental cross sections and theoretical predictions was made. The 2H(p, 2p)n reaction was also investigated at 12.5°–12.5° and 8.5°–8.5°. The cross sections d3σ/dΩ1dΩ2dE1 were compared with the values calculated by existing theories.  相似文献

Gamma spectra produced in the 128Te(p, n)128I reaction were taken as a function of proton bombarding energy Ep = 2.8 MeV to 5.0 MeV. A level scheme composed of 41 excited states was constructed on the basis of singles γ-spectra and extensive γ-γ coincidence measurements. The coincidence measurements were carried out utilizing a three-parameter Ge(Li)-Ge(Li)-timing system. Upper limits were placed on the lifetime of six levels. The modes of de-excitation of many levels as deduced in the present investigation are significantly different from the results obtained in the (n, γ) reaction. Angular distribution measurements combined with the results from the coincidence counting rates and the population strength of the states by primary transitions in the (n, γ) reaction enabled some spin and parity assignments and tentative assignments for many other levels. The ground state and nine positive-parity states were described in terms of admixed twoquasiparticle multiplets.  相似文献

The differential cross sections for the 3He(d, dd)1H breakup reaction have been measured in the kinematical region corresponding to quasifree scattering (QFS). The angular dependence of the cross section at the minimum laboratory energy of the unobserved proton has been obtained. The shapes of energy spectra are approximately reproduced by a calculation in the plane-wave impulse approximation (PWIA). As for the angular dependence of the cross section and for the absolute values, the calculation fails to reproduce the experimental results. A calculation with multiple scattering effects reproduces the experimental data well, not only for the shape of the energy spectra but also for the angular dependence. For the absolute cross sections, the ratio of the experimental values to the calculated ones with multiple scattering effects is 0.7 and this value is improved compared with the value of 0.3 obtained by the PWIA calculation.  相似文献

Enriched targets of 187Re and 185Re were bombarded with α-particles of energy between 23.0 and 42.8 MeV. The levels characteristic of 189Ir and 187Ir produced by the (α, 2n) reaction were studied. The positive parity bands built on the 32+ ground state and on the 12+ first excited state in both nuclei were observed and interpreted as bands built on the 12+[402] and 12+ [400] Nilsson states. The negative parity levels form two independent systems: the first one possesses characteristics typical of a rotation-aligned band and is interpreted as belonging to the h92 orbital; the second one is connected with the 112? isomeric state which originates from the h112 orbital. The possibility of a triaxial shape for this h112. level system is discussed. In 189Ir a 3.2 ms isomeric state of 2333 keV excitation energy has been found and, as a by-product, some information has been gathered on the 4.1 ms isomer in 188Ir.  相似文献

The level structures of the 145, 147, 149Nd nuclei up to about 5 MeV excitation energy have been investigated with the (3He, α) reaction at 24 MeV. Additional 17 MeV (d, t) data have been obtained for 147, 149Nd. The angular distributions have been analyzed with standard DWBA calculations, and spectroscopic factors have been deduced. Two groups of states carrying h112 single-particle strength may be associated with the 92? [514] and 112? [505] Nilsson orbitals. A considerable amount of high-l single-particle strength may be found in the continuum observed in the (3He, α) spectra above 3 MeV in all the nuclei.  相似文献
