The properties of neutrinos,s-leptons,s-quarks as well as the coloured isosinglet \(\tilde D\) and \(\tilde D^c \) are studied in superstring inspired models. Furthermore the neutrinoless double β-decay process is investigated, including light and heavy majorana neutrinos, as well as the contribution of the exotic Higgs scalars of the theory. From the current experimental limits onov-ββ-decay, useful constraints are imposed on the masses and Yukawa couplings of the theory.  相似文献

We describe a class of six-dimensional conformal field theories that possibly are related to the tensionless string theories. They have an ADE classification, but no other discrete or continuous parameters, with the A(N-1) theory arising by factoring out the collective "center of mass" degrees of freedom from N noninteracting chiral two-forms. The Hilbert space carries an irreducible representation of the same Heisenberg group that appears in the tensionless string theories, and the "Wilson surface" observables obey the same superselection rules. When compactified on a two-torus, our theories have the same behavior under S duality as N = 4 super Yang-Mills theories.  相似文献

We use a very simple version of the optimized (linear)??-expansion by scaling the free part of the Lagrangian with a variational parameter. This method is well suited to calculate the renormalized coupling constant in terms of the free one and the cutoff. One never has to calculate any new Feynman graphs but simply can modify existing results from the literature. We find that ?? 4 4 -theory as well as QED are free in the limit where the cutoff goes to infinity. In contrast to this, the structure of Yang-Mills theories enforces a special choice of the Lagrangian of the??-expansion. Together with the change in the sign of the??-function, this leads to a different behavior and allows Yang-Mills theory to become non trivial.  相似文献

Exact solvability is claimed for nonlinear replica sigma models derived in the context of random matrix theories. Contrary to other approaches reported in the literature, the framework outlined does not rely on traditional "replica symmetry breaking" but rests on a previously unnoticed exact relation between replica partition functions and Painlevé transcendents. While expected to be applicable to matrix models of arbitrary symmetries, the method is used to treat fermionic replicas for the Gaussian unitary ensemble (GUE), chiral GUE (symmetry classes A and AIII in Cartan classification) and Ginibre's ensemble of complex non-Hermitian random matrices. The linearized form of the metric of a Finsler–Randers space is studied in relation to the equations of motion, the deviation of geodesics and the generalized Raychaudhuri equation are given for a weak gravitational field. This equation is also derived in the framework of a tangent bundle. By using Cartan or Berwald-like connections we get some types “gravito-electromagnetic” curvature. In addition we investigate the conditions under which a definite Lagrangian in a Randers space leads to Einstein field equations under the presence of electromagnetic field. Finally, some applications of the weak field in a generalized Finsler spacetime for gravitational waves are given.  相似文献

This goes some of the way in filling the weights of the fundamental representations, but nevertheless holes in the representations remain. We use Schwinger-Dyson equations combined with rigorous “perturbation-theoretic” correlation inequalities to give a new and extremely simple proof of the existence and nontriviality of the weakly-coupled continuum ? 2 4 and ? 3 4 quantum field theories, constructed as subsequence limits of lattice theories. We prove an asymptotic expansion to order λ or λ2 for the correlation functions and for the mass gap. All Osterwalder-Schrader axioms are satisfied except perhaps Euclidean (rotation) invariance.  相似文献

This Letter constructs an exact field redefinition that maps the Akulov–Volkov action to that recently studied by Komargodski and Seiberg in [Z. Komargodski, N. Seiberg, JHEP 0909 (2009) 066, arXiv:0907.2441]. This is then used to study the off-shell supersymmetry properties of the Komargodski–Seiberg action. It is also shown that the approach advocated in [A.A. Zheltukhin, Phys. Rev. D 82 (2010) 085005, arXiv:1003.4143v2] and [A.A. Zheltukhin, On equivalence of the Komargodski–Seiberg action to the Volkov–Akulov action, arXiv:1009.2166] for deriving such a field redefinition is inconsistent.  相似文献

We consider local field theory on κ-deformed Minkowski space which is an example of solvable Lie-algebraic noncommutative structure. Using integration formula over κ-Minkowski space and κ-deformed Fourier transform, we consider for deformed local fields the reality conditions as well as deformation of action functionals in standard Minkowski space. We present explicit formulas for two equivalent star products describing CBH quantization of field theory on κ-Minkowski space. We express also via star product technique the noncommutative translations in κ-Minkowski space by commutative translations in standard Minkowski space. The character formulae for the C-disorder fields corresponding to the charge conjugation symmetry in the parafermionic conformal field theories of Zamolodchikov and Fateev are obtained. These characters span a unitary representation of the level 2 subgroup Γ(2) of the full modular group. The corresponding Γ(2)-invariant partition functions are calculated. Derivation of the character formula is based on the relation between the parafermionic theories and the twisted N = 2 superconformal algebra. A similar idea is applied to explicitly construct the highest weight modules of the twisted SU(2) Kac-Moody algebra.  相似文献
