The role of effective anisotropy in nanocrystalline ferromagnets is investigated. These alloys are prepared by annealing amorphous ribbons and have excellent soft magnetic properties. A two-phase model is established considering the role of the intergranular amorphous phase. The results indicate a strong dependence of effective anisotropy on the structure and magnetic parameters of the amorphous phase as well as on the size of a grains. In view of the new model, the magnetic hardening beyond the optimally annealing temperature seems to be ascribed to the deterioration in magnetic properties of interfacial amorphous phase.  相似文献

Characteristic features of the filtration of liquids by magnetic fibrous polymeric materials (MFPM) are addressed; these materials are a set of fibers of a polymeric material containing a ferritic filler; they are adhesively bound at points of their intersection. It is demonstrated that variations in structural parameters (fiber thickness, distribution of fiber throughout the material, and its concentration), as well as the degree and direction of magnetization of the MFPM exert an influence on the efficiency of the liquid filtration. Preparation and structural characterization of palladium (II) complexes of ligands III-V and copper (II) complexes of III are reported. The elemental analyses of the complexes show that the metal: ligand ratio is 1:2. The electrical conductance in acetone shows the non-electrolytic nature of the complexes. The diamagnetic character suggests a gross square-planar geometry for the palladium (II) complexes. Copper (II) complexes are paramagnetic with¼eff.~1·90 B.M. Spectral data suggest that in all the complexes the ligand coordinates to the metal (II) symmetrically through isonitroso-nitrogen and imine-nitrogen, forming a five membered chelate ring. Amine-exchange reactions of the complexes are discussed and compared on the basis of their structures.  相似文献

The propagation of curved domain walls in hard ferromagnetic materials is studied by applying a reductive perturbation method to the generalized Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert equation. Coordination compounds of Cu (II), Ni (II) and Co (II) with sulphamethazine salicylaldimine (an antitubercular) have been prepared with a view to study their antibacterial activity. These complexes are granular, stable and are quantitatively formed and characterised by elemental analysis. Structures have been assigned based on their infrared, electronic absorption spectral and magnetic susceptibility studies. The antibacterial activity was tested against eleven available pathogens and in some cases complexes are found to be more potent.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline silicon embedded SiO2 matrix has been formed by annealing the a-SiOx films fabricated by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition technique. Absorption and photoluminescence spectra of the films have been studied in conjunction with micro-Raman scattering spectra. It is found that absorption presents an exponential dependence of absorption coefficient to photon energy in the range of 1.5–3.0 eV, and a sub-band appears in the range of 1.0–1.5 eV. The exponential absorption is due to the indirect band-to-band transition of electrons in silicon nanocrys-tallites, while the sub-band absorption is ascribed to transitions between surfaces and/or defect states of the silicon nanocrystallites. The existence of Stokes shift between absorption and photoluminescence suggests that the phonon-assisted luminescence would be enhanced due to the quantum confinement effects.  相似文献

The discrete spectrum of multiparticle Hamiltonians H0 of neutral systems in a homogeneous magnetic field is studied at a fixed pseudomoment. A general theorem is proved, which describes the discrete spectrum of H0 under certain conditions in terms of constructed effective one-dimensional differential operators with a known spectrum structure. Based on this theorem, the conditions for a finite or infinite spectrum and the spectral asymptotic forms of the operator H0 are obtained. The results can be applied to Hamiltonians of any atoms. In this paper the Hamiltonian structure of magnetic lines is studied in many ways. First it is used vector analysis for defining the Poisson bracket and Casimir variable for this system. Second it is derived Pfaffian equations for magnetic field lines. Third, Lie derivative and derivative of Poisson bracket is used to show structure of this system. We borrow the Jaco-Shalen-Johannson notion of characteristic sub-manifold from 3-dimensional topology to study cyclic splittings of torsion-free (Gromov) hyperbolic groups and finitely generated discrete groups in rank 1 Lie groups. Our JSJ canonical decomposition is a fundamental object for studying the dynamics of individual automorphisms and the automorphism group of a torsion-free hyperbolic group and a key tool in our approach to the isomorphism problem for these groups [S3]. For discrete groups in rank 1 Lie groups, the JSJ canonical decomposition serves as a basic object for understanding the geometry of the space of discrete faithful representations and allows a natural generalization of the Teichmüller modular group and the Riemann moduli space for these discrete groups. Blends of a poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) and a liquid crystalline polymer (LCP) were prepared in a single screw extruder. The LCP used was a liquid crystalline copolyester of 40% polyethylene terephthalate with 60% p-hydroxybenzoic acid (40 PET/60 PHB). Specimens for mechanical testing were prepared by injection molding. Rheological, morphological, microstructural, and mechanical properties were investigated by capillary rheometry, polarized light microscopy, x-ray diffractometry, and a tensile tester, respectively. For the LCP content higher than 5 wt. % a significant decrease of the viscosity was noted. The morphology of the dispersed LCP phase varies between droplets and oriented fibrils. The degree of cystallinity of PBT and the crystal sizes were found to be affected by LCP addition. The tensile mechanical behavior of the PBT + LCP blends was also found to be affected by their compositions. The elasticity modulus and the parameter of elasticity anisotropy monotonically increase with the LCP content. The strain at break shows a drastic decrease for the blends containing more than 10 wt. % LCP. Fe x (SiO2)1-x nanocomposites prepared by using mechanical alloying method were reported. The microstructure character and magnetic properties of Fe x (SiO2)1-x nanocomposite samples with different Fe content and different ball milling time were studied by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Mössbauer spectroscopy, and Faraday magnetic balance in a wide temperature range. The results indicate that the rnicrostructure and magnetic properties are closely related to ball milling time and Fe content. When Fe content is less than 20 wt%, the sample after 80-h ball milling has very complex microstructure. Small α-Fe grains and Fe cluster are implanted in SiO2 matrix. And there are not only isolated α-Fe granular and Fe cluster, but also nanometer scaled sandwich network-like structure. Fe x (SiO2)1-x nanocomposite samples display a rich variety of physical and chemical properties as a result of their unique nanostructure, strong interface interaction and inter-osmosis effect in Fe-SiO2 boundaries, and the grain size effect.  相似文献
