We formulate quantum scattering theory in terms of a discrete L 2-basis of eigen differentials. Using projection operators in the Hilbert space, we develop a universal method for constructing finite-dimensional analogues of the basic operators of the scattering theory: S- and T-matrices, resolvent operators, and Möller wave operators as well as the analogues of resolvent identities and the Lippmann–Schwinger equations for the T-matrix. The developed general formalism of the discrete scattering theory results in a very simple calculation scheme for a broad class of interaction operators.  相似文献

The concept of a convergence tower space, or equivalently, a convergence approach space is formulated here in the context of a Cauchy setting in order to include a completion theory. Subcategories of filter tower spaces are defined in terms of axioms involving a general t-norm, T, in order to include a broad range of spaces. A T-regular sequence for a filter tower space is defined and, moreover, it is shown that the category of T-regular objects is a bireflective subcategory of all filter tower spaces. A completion theory for subcategories of filter tower spaces is given.  相似文献

As one of main backgrounds of locale theory, topologies have close connections with locales. But locales have other backgrounds such as algebra, mathematical logic, etc. So there are many differences between locales and topologies. Spatiality is an important localic property to investigate the connections between locales and topologies. TheT D property is a special separation property which plays an important role in this kind of investigations. Just as it will be proved in this paper, theT D property often appears as the lowest requirement for many topological spaces such that they can be described with localic properties and vice versa. We develop the general theory for a new functor K e on the category of C *-algebras. The extremal K-set, K e (A), of a C *-algebra A is defined by means of homotopy classes of extreme partial isometries. It contains K 1 (A) and admits a partially defined addition extending the addition in K 1 (A), so that we have an action of K 1 (A) on K e (A). We show how this functor relates to K 0 and K 1, and how it can be used as a carrier of information relating the various K-groups of ideals and quotients of A. The extremal K-set is then used to extend the classical theory of index for Fredholm and semi-Fredholm operators.  相似文献

Let G be an undirected graph and ={X1, …, Xn} be a partition of V(G). Denote by G/ the graph which has vertex set {X1, …, Xn}, edge set E, and is obtained from G by identifying vertices in each class Xi of the partition . Given a conservative graph (Gw), we study vertex set partitions preserving conservativeness, i.e., those for which (G/ , w) is also a conservative graph. We characterize the conservative graphs (G/ , w), where is a terminal partition of V(G) (a partition preserving conservativeness which is not a refinement of any other partition of this kind). We prove that many conservative graphs admit terminal partitions with some additional properties. The results obtained are then used in new unified short proofs for a co-NP characterization of Seymour graphs by A. A. Ageev, A. V. Kostochka, and Z. Szigeti (1997, J. Graph Theory34, 357–364), a theorem of E. Korach and M. Penn (1992, Math. Programming55, 183–191), a theorem of E. Korach (1994, J. Combin. Theory Ser. B62, 1–10), and a theorem of A. V. The Szpilrajn theorem and its strengthening by Dushnik and Miller belong to the most quoted theorems in many fields of pure and applied mathematics as, for instance, order theory, mathematical logic, computer sciences, mathematical social sciences, mathematical economics, computability theory and fuzzy mathematics. The Szpilrajn theorem states that every partial order can be refined or extended to a total (linear) order. The theorem by Dushnik and Miller states, moreover, that every partial order is the intersection of its total (linear) refinements or extensions. Since in mathematical social sciences or, more general, in any theory that combines the concepts of topology and order one is mainly interested in continuous total orders or preorders in this paper some aspects of a possible continuous analogue of the Szpilrajn theorem and its strengthening by Dushnik and Miller will be discussed. In particular, necessary and sufficient conditions for a topological space to satisfy a possible continuous analogue of the Dushnik-Miller theorem will be presented. In addition, it will be proved that a continuous analogue of the Szpilrajn theorem does not hold in general. Further, necessary and in some cases necessary and sufficient conditions for a topological space to satisfy a possible continuous analogue of the Szpilrajn theorem will be presented.   相似文献

We investigate nonlinear pseudodifferential equations with infinitely many derivatives. These are equations of a new class, and they originally appeared in p-adic string theory. Their investigation is of interest in mathematical physics and its applications, in particular, in string theory and cosmology. We undertake a systematic mathematical investigation of the properties of these equations and prove the main uniqueness theorem for the solution in an algebra of generalized functions. We discuss boundary problems for bounded solutions and prove the existence theorem for spatially homogeneous solutions for odd p. For even p, we prove the absence of a continuous nonnegative solution interpolating between two vacuums and indicate the possible existence of discontinuous solutions. We also consider the multidimensional equation and discuss soliton and q-brane solutions.  相似文献

With T-fuzzy data definition, properties and weigh-and-measure formula given and dimension unified by the aid of normal standardization, first, the author discusses Min-Max (resp. Max-Min) transitive closure as well as α (or β) threshold value principle with a shortcut method produced for the cluster. Besides, he establishes a cluster analysis model with T-fuzzy data, and gains an access to T-fuzzy data and two approaches to non-fuzzifying. For little q-Jacobi polynomials and q-Hahn polynomials we give particular q-hypergeometric series representations in which the termwise q = 0 limit can be taken. When rewritten in matrix form, these series representations can be viewed as LU factorizations. We develop a general theory of LU factorizations related to complete systems of orthogonal polynomials with discrete orthogonality relations which admit a dual system of orthogonal polynomials. For the q = 0 orthogonal limit functions we discuss interpretations on p-adic spaces. In the little 0-Jacobi case we also discuss product formulas. In this paper, we consider hypothesis testing problems in which the involved samples are drawn from generalized multivariate modified Bessel populations. This is a much more general distribution that includes both the multivariate normal and multivariate-t distributions as special cases. We derive the distribution of the Hotelling's T2-statistic for both the one- and two-sample problems, as well as the distribution of the Scheffe's T2-statistic for the Behrens–Fisher problem. In all cases, the non-null distribution of the corresponding F-statistic follows a new distribution which we introduce as the non-central F-Bessel distribution. Some statistical properties of this distribution are studied. Furthermore, this distribution was utilized to perform some power calculations for tests of means for different models which are special cases of the generalized multivariate modified Bessel distribution, and the results compared with those obtained under the multivariate normal case. Under the null hypothesis, however, the non-central F-Bessel distribution reduces to the central F-distribution obtained under the classical normal model.  相似文献

W. Fulton and R. MacPherson posed the problem of unique existence of a bivariant Chern class—a Grothendieck transformation from the bivariant theory F of constructible functions to the bivariant homology theory H. J.-P. Brasselet proved the existence of a bivariant Chern class in the category of embeddable analytic varieties with cellular morphisms. In general however, the problem of uniqueness is still unresolved. In this paper we show that for morphisms having nonsingular target varieties there exists another bivariant theory of constructible functions and a unique bivariant Chern class γ: . S. Shelah proved that stability of a theory is equivalent to definability of every complete type of that theory. T. Mustafin introduced the concept of being T *-stable, generalizing the notion of being stable. However, T *-stability does not necessitate definability of types. The key result of the present article is proving the definability of types for E *-stable theories. This concept differs from that of being T *-stable by adding the condition of being continuous. As a consequence we arrive at the definability of types over any P-sets in P-stable theories, which previously was established by T. Nurmagambetov and B. Poizat for types over P-models.  相似文献

This article defines and presents the mathematical analysis of a new class of models from the theory of inelastic deformations of metals. This new class, containing so called convex composite models, enlarges the class containing monotone models of gradient type defined in [1]. We introduce (k,l)-regular maps, which generalize two previously studied classes of maps: affinely k-regular maps and totally skew embeddings. We exhibit some explicit examples and obtain bounds on the least dimension of a Euclidean space into which a manifold can be embedded by a (k,l)-regular map. The problem can be regarded as an extension of embedding theory to embeddings with certain non-degeneracy conditions imposed, and is related to approximation theory.  相似文献

Heuristic algorithms for scheduling tasks with multiple modes and minimizing the schedule length involve in general two distinct phases, task mode assignment and then task scheduling. We propose a novel approach where these two features are managed in an integrated mechanism with mode assignment embedded in scheduling. The problem is first reformulated as a special single-mode task scheduling problem, and then is modeled as a graph interval T-coloring. Finally, a tabu-like metaheuristic is proposed for this latter graph coloring problem, and the performance of our approach is compared to known multi-mode scheduling heuristics.  相似文献

Let X be an arbitrary Banach space, K be a nonempty closed convex subset of X, and T : KK be a Lipschitzian and hemicontractive mapping with the property lim inft→∞((t)/t) > 0. It is shown that the Ishikawa iteration procedures are weakly T-stable. As consequences, several related results deal with the weak stability of these procedures for the iteration proximation of solutions of nonlinear equations involving accretive operators. A new series representation of the exact distribution of Hotelling's generalized T02 statistic is obtained. Unlike earlier work, the series representation given here is everywhere convergent. Explicit formulae are given for both the null and the non-central distributions. Earlier results by [1], 215–225), which are convergent on the interval [0, 1), are also derived quite simply from our formulae. The paper therefore provides a solution to the long standing problem of the exact distribution of the T02 statistic in the general case.  相似文献
