For a self-similar set E satisfying the open set condition,upper convex density is an important concept for the computation of its Hausdorff measure,and it is well known that the set of relative interior points with upper convex density 1 has a full Hausdorff measure.But whether the upper convex densities of E at all the relative interior points are equal to 1? In other words,whether there exists a relative interior point of E such that the upper convex density of E at this point is less than 1? In this paper,the authors construct a self-similar set satisfying the open set condition,which has a relative interior point with upper convex density less than 1.Thereby,the above problem is sufficiently answered.  相似文献

In this article,we consider nonlinear elliptic systems of divergence type with Dini continuous coefficients.The authors use a new method introduced by Duzaar and Grotowski,to prove partial regularity for weak solutions,based on a generalization of the technique of harmonic approximation and directly establish the optimal Ho¨lder exponent for the derivative of a weak solution on its regular set.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the existence of at least one positive solution pair (u, v)∈ H1(RN) × H1(RN) to the following semilinear elliptic system {-△u+u=f(x,v),x∈RN,-△u+u=g(x,v),x∈RN (0.1),by using a linking theorem and the concentration-compactness principle. The main conditions we imposed on the nonnegative functions f, g ∈C0(RN× R1) are that, f(x, t) and g(x, t) are superlinear at t = 0 as well as at t =+∞, that f and g are subcritical in t and satisfy a kind of monotonic conditions. We mention that we do not assume that f or g satisfies the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition as usual. Our main result can be viewed as an extension to a recent result of Miyagaki and Souto [J. Diff. Equ. 245(2008), 3628-3638] concerning the existence of a positive solution to the semilinear elliptic boundary value problem {-△u+u=f(x,u),x∈Ω,u∈H0^1(Ω) where Ω ∩→RN is bounded and a result of Li and Yang [G. Li and J. Yang: Communications in P.D.E. Vol. 29(2004) Nos.5& 6.pp.925-954, 2004] concerning (0.1) when f and g are asymptotically linear.  相似文献

Under a very general condition (TNC condition) we show that the spectral radius of the kernel of a general branching process is a threshold parameter and hence plays a role as the basic reproduction number in usual CMJ processes. We discuss also some properties of the extinction probability and the generating operator of general branching processes. As an application in epidemics, in the final section we suggest a generalization of SIR model which can describe infectious diseases transmission in an inhomogeneous population.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is two-fold:(i) to generalize an existence result for a compressible gas-liquid model with a friction term recently published by Friis and Evje [SIAM J. Appl. Math., 71(2011), pp. 2014–2047];(ii) to derive a uniqueness result for the same model. A main ingredient in the existence part is the observation that we can consider weaker assumptions on the initial liquid and gas mass, and still obtain an existence result. Compared to the above mentioned work, we rely on a more refined application of the estimates provided by the basic energy estimate. Concerning the uniqueness result, we borrow ideas from Fang and Zhang [Nonlinear Anal. TMA, 58(2004), pp. 719–731] and derive a stability result under appropriate constraints on parameters that determine rate of decay toward zero at the boundary for gas and liquid masses, and growth rate of masses associated with the friction term and viscous coefficient.  相似文献

In this article we bounded symmetric domains study holomorphic isometries of the Poincare disk into Earlier we solved the problem of analytic continuation of germs of holomorphic maps between bounded domains which are isometrics up to normalizing constants with respect to the Bergman metric, showing in particular that the graph 170 of any germ of holomorphic isometry of the Poincar6 disk A into an irreducible bounded symmetric domain Ω belong to C^N in its Harish-Chandra realization must extend to an affinealgebraic subvariety V belong to C × C^N = C^N+1, and that the irreducible component of V ∩ (△ × Ω) containing V0 is the graph of a proper holomorphic isometric embedding F : A→ Ω. In this article we study holomorphie isometric embeddings which are asymptotically geodesic at a general boundary point b ∈ δ△. Starting with the structural equation for holomorphic isometrics arising from the Gauss equation, we obtain by covariant differentiation an identity relating certain holomorphic bisectional curvatures to the boundary behavior of the second fundamental form σ of the holomorphie isometric embedding. Using the nonpositivity of holomorphic bisectional curvatures on a bounded symmetric domain, we prove that ‖σ‖ must vanish at a general boundary point either to the order 1 or to the order 1/2, called a holomorphie isometry of the first resp. second kind. We deal with special cases of non-standard holomorphic isometric embeddings of such maps, showing that they must be asymptotically totally geodesic at a general boundary point and in fact of the first kind whenever the target domain is a Cartesian product of complex unit balls. We also study the boundary behavior of an example of holomorphic isometric embedding from the Poincare disk into a Siegel upper half-plane by an explicit determination of the boundary behavior of holomorphic sectional curvatures in the directions tangent to the embedded Poincare disk, showing that the map is indeed asymptotically totally geodesic at a general boundary point and of the first kind. For the metric computation we make use of formulas for symplectic geometry on Siegel upper half-planes.  相似文献

In this paper we study well-posedness and asymptotic behavior of solution of a free boundary problem modeling the growth of multi-layer tumors under the action of an external inhibitor. We first prove that this problem is locally well-posed in little Holder spaces. Next we investigate asymptotic behavior of the solution. By making delicate analysis of spectrum of the linearization of the stationary free boundary problem and using the linearized stability theorem, we prove that if the surface tension coefficient γ is larger than γ^* 〉 0 the fiat stationary solution is asymptotically stable provided that the constant c representing the ratio between the nutrient diffusion time and the tumor-cell doubling time is sufficient small.  相似文献

By using cone expansion-compression theorem in this paper, we study boundary value problems for a coupled system of nonlinear third-order differential equation. Some sufficient conditions are obtained which guarantee the boundary value problems for a coupled system of nonlinear third-order differential equation has at least one positive solution. We are concerned with the global existence of entropy solutions of the twodimensional steady Euler equations for an ideal gas, which undergoes a one-step exothermic chemical reaction under the Arrhenius-type kinetics. The reaction rate function φ(T) is assumed to have a positive lower bound. We first consider the Cauchy problem(the initial value problem), that is, seek a supersonic downstream reacting flow when the incoming flow is supersonic, and establish the global existence of entropy solutions when the total variation of the initial data is suffciently small. Then we analyze the problem of steady supersonic, exothermically reacting Euler flow past a Lipschitz wedge, generating an additional detonation wave attached to the wedge vertex, which can be then formulated as an initial-boundary value problem. We establish the global existence of entropy solutions containing the additional detonation wave(weak or strong, determined by the wedge angle at the wedge vertex) when the total variation of both the slope of the wedge boundary and the incoming flow is suitably small. The downstream asymptotic behavior of the global solutions is also obtained.  相似文献

In this article, we prove the local existence and uniqueness of the classical solution to the Cauchy problem of the 3-D compressible Navier-Stokes equations with large initial data and vacuum, if the shear viscosity μ is a positive constant and the bulk viscosity λ(ρ) = ρβwith β≥ 0. Let O be a closed geodesic polygon in S~2 . Maps from O into S~2 are said to satisfy tangent boundary conditions if the edges of O are mapped into the geodesics which contain them. Taking O to be an octant of S 2,we compute the infimum Dirichlet energy E(H) for continuous maps satisfying tangent boundary conditions of arbitrary homotopy type H . The expression for E (H ) involves a topological invariant - the spelling length - associated with the (non-abelian) fundamental group of the n-times punctured two-sphere, π 1 (S 2 ? {s 1 , ··· , s n }, ?). The lower bound for E(H) is obtained from combinatorial group theory arguments, while the upper bound is obtained by constructing explicit representa- tives which, on all but an arbitrarily small subset of O, are alternatively locally conformal or anticonformal. For conformal and anticonformal classes (classes containing wholly con- formal and anticonformal representatives respectively), the expression for E (H ) reduces to a previous result involving the degrees of a set of regular values s 1 , ··· , s n in the target S 2 space. These degrees may be viewed as invariants associated with the abelianization of π 1 (S 2 ? {s 1 , ··· , s n }, *). For nonconformal classes, however, E(H) may be strictly greater than the abelian bound. This stems from the fact that, for nonconformal maps, the number of preimages of certain regular values may necessarily be strictly greater than the absolute value of their degrees.This work is motivated by the theoretical modelling of nematic liquid crystals in confined polyhedral geometries. The results imply new lower and upper bounds for the Dirichlet energy (one-constant Oseen-Frank energy) of reflection-symmetric tangent unit- vector fields in a rectangular prism.  相似文献

In this article, we concern the motion of relativistic membranes and null mem- branes in the Reissner-Nordstrom space-time. The equation of relativistic membranes moving in the Reissner-Nordstrom space-time is derived and some properties are discussed. Spherical symmetric solutions for the motion are illustrated and some interesting physical phenomena are discovered. The equations of the null membranes are derived and the exact solutions are also given. Spherical symmetric solutions for null membranes are just the two horizons of Reissner-NordstrSm space-time.  相似文献

This paper deals with the stabilization problems for a networked control system via time-delayed and impulsive controllers. The random communication delays in the model signal are modeled as a Markov chain. First, we introduce a hybrid controller with delay and impulses for the networked control systems. Then, some sufficient conditions are proposed for the design of a hybrid controller such that the closed-loop system is stochastically stable.  相似文献

This article aims at studying two-direction refinable functions and two-direction wavelets in the setting Rs, s 1. We give a sufficient condition for a two-direction refinable function belonging to L2(Rs). Then, two theorems are given for constructing biorthogonal(orthogonal) two-direction refinable functions in L2(Rs) and their biorthogonal(orthogonal) two-direction wavelets, respectively. From the constructed biorthogonal(orthogonal)two-direction wavelets, symmetric biorthogonal(orthogonal) multiwaveles in L2(Rs) can be obtained easily. Applying the projection method to biorthogonal(orthogonal) two-direction wavelets in L2(Rs), we can get dual(tight) two-direction wavelet frames in L2(Rm), where m ≤ s. From the projected dual(tight) two-direction wavelet frames in L2(Rm), symmetric dual(tight) frames in L2(Rm) can be obtained easily.
