A partial least squares (PLS-1) calibration model based on kinetic—spectrophotometric measurement, for the simultaneous determination of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) ions is described. The method was based on the difference in the rate of the reaction between Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions with 1-(2-pyridylazo)2-naphthol in a pH 5.8 buffer solution and in micellar media at 25°C. The absorption kinetic profiles of the solutions were monitored by measuring the absorbance at 570 nm at 2 s intervals during the time range of 0–10 min after initiation of the reaction. The experimental calibration matrix for the partial least squares (PLS-1) model was designed with 30 samples. The cross-validation method was used for selecting the number of factors. The results showed that simultaneous determination could be performed in the range 0.1-2 μg mL−1 for each cation. The proposed method was successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) ions in water and in synthetic alloy samples.   相似文献

Simultaneous determination of V(V) and Al(III) was performed by application of neural networks when the calibration matrix was performed using β-correction spectra. Two reactions between V(V) and Al(III) and Alizarin Red S (ARS) as a ligand have been investigated and applied for the simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of these metal ions. The parameters controlling behavior of the system were investigated and optimum conditions selected. Feed-forward neural networks have been trained to quantify considered metal ions in mixtures under optimum conditions. Sigmoidal functions were used in the hidden and output layers. Determinations were made over the concentration range 0.10-7.80 μg ml−1 of V(V) and 0.11-4.20 μg ml−1 of Al(III). Applying this method satisfactorily to simultaneous determination of these metal ions in several synthetic solutions with total relative standard error less than 4.02% validated the proposed method.  相似文献

Two spectrophotometric methods are described for the simultaneous determination of binary mixtures of Sn(II) and Sn(IV) in water samples and fruit juice samples, without prior separation steps, using the mean centering of ratio kinetic profiles and partial least squares (PLS) methods. The methods are based on the difference in the rate of the reactions of Sn(II) and Sn(IV) with pyrocatechol violet at pH 4.0. The methods allow rapid and accurate determination of Sn(II) and Sn(IV). The analytical characteristics of the methods for the simultaneous determination of binary mixtures of Sn(II) and Sn(IV) were calculated. The results showed that the methods were capable to simultaneous determination of 0.1–1.80 mg L−1 each of cations. The proposed methods were successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of Sn(II) and Sn(IV)in an orange juice sample.  相似文献

Artificial neural networks (ANNs) are among the most popular techniques for nonlinear multivariate calibration in complicated mixtures using spectrophotometric data. In this study we propose a computer-based method for removing Te(IV) interference in the determination of Se(IV) using artificial neural networks. In this way, an artificial neural network consisting of three layers of nodes was trained by applying a back-propagation learning rule. The resulting RMSE of prediction for selenium was obtained as 0.108.  相似文献

A simple, sensitive and rapid derivative spectrophotometric method using 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (5-Br-PADAP) has been developed for simultaneous determination of Co(II), Ni(II) and Fe(II) which have very similar chemical behavior and appear together in many real samples. The complexes of all these metal ions with 5-Br-PADAP were formed immediately at pH 7.0 ammonium acetate buffered solution and were stable for at least 24 h. Second derivative spectra were selected for evaluation, because working wavelength determination was more precise and spectral overlap was less than in the ordinary and first derivative spectra. Three wavelengths at which the complexes exhibit extremum 2D values for Co(II), Ni(II) and Fe(II) were selected as analytical wavelengths, i.e., 640, 600 and 740 nm, respectively. Calibration curves drawn with zero-to-peak values at mentioned wavelengths were linear between 80 and 2000 ng ml−1 for each metal ion. Concentrations of Co(II) and Ni(II) were calculated from the total 2D values and the sum of the linear equations for these three cations at 640 and 600 nm, after Fe(II) assay by making use of the 2D value at 740 nm. Limits of detection (LOD) for Co(II), Ni(II) and Fe(II) were 2.7, 13.9 and 3.0 ng ml−1, respectively. The method has been applied to tool steel and heater resistance wire samples successfully.  相似文献

The analytical properties of 1-phenyl-1,2-propanedione-2-oxime thiosemi-carbazone (PPDOT) are described for the first time. The reagent gives colour reactions with copper(II) and nickel(II) in sodium acetate-acetic acid buffer medium. The copper complex shows maximum absorbance at 465 nm while the nickel complex at 395 nm. Therefore, these colour reactions have been advantageously used for the simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of copper(II) and nickel(II) in synthetic mixture and also in edible oils and seeds.  相似文献

Force field calculations were performed on a series of 27 transition metal complexes of titanium(IV), vanadium(IV/V), copper(II), nickel(II), molybdenum(IV/V), rhenium(IV/V), and tin(IV) with a broad variety of di- or tridentate ligands in order to find a reliable scheme for determining the molecular structure of such chelates with the new Extensible Systematic Force Field (ESFF). A good agreement between theoretical results and experimental data was achieved. In some cases an unspecific fitting of the force field was necessary.  相似文献

The method is based on spectrophotometric determination of Fe(II) and Fe(III) at a single wavelength (530 nm) with the use of a dedicated reversed-flow injection system. In the system, EDTA solution is injected into a carrier stream (HNO3) and then merged with a sample stream containing a mixture of sulfosalicylic acid and 1,10-phenanthroline as indicators. In an acid environment (pH ≅ 3) the indicators form complexes with both Fe(III) and Fe(II), but EDTA replaces sulfosalicylic acid, forming a more stable colourless complex with Fe(III), whereas Fe(II) remains in a complex with 1,10-phenenthroline. As a result, the area and minimum of the characteristic peak can be exploited as measures corresponding to the Fe(III) and Fe(II) concentrations, respectively. The analytes were not found to affect each other's signals, hence two analytical curves were constructed with the use of a set of standard solutions, each containing Fe(II) and Fe(III). Both analytes were determined in synthetic samples within the concentration ranges of 0.05–4.0 and 0.09–6.0 mg L−1, respectively, with precision less than 1.5 and 2.6% (RSD) and with accuracy less than 4.3 and 5.6% (RE). The method was applied to determination of the analytes in water samples collected from artesian wells and the results of the determination were consistent with those obtained using the ICP-OES technique.  相似文献

H-point standard addition method, HPSAM, with simultaneous addition of three analytes is proposed for the resolution of ternary mixtures. It is a modification of the previously described H-point standard addition method that permits the resolution of three species from a unique calibration set by making the simultaneous addition of the three analytes. The method calculates the analyte concentration from spectral data at two wavelengths where the two species selected as interferents present the same absorbance relationship. These wavelength pairs are easily found, and can be selected to give the most precise results. Diethyldithiocarbomate (DDC) in a cationic micellar solution of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) was used for determination of Fe(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) at pH 5.50. The results showed that simultaneous determination of Fe(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) could be preformed in the range of 0.0–6.0, 0.0–8.0 and 0.0–12.0 μg ml−1, respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of Fe(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) in several synthetic mixtures containing different concentration of Fe(II), Co(II) and Cu(II).  相似文献

A simple and sensitive kinetic method for the determination of traces of mercury (70-760 ng ml−1) based on its inhibitory effect on the addition reaction between methyl green and sulfite ion is proposed. The reaction was monitored spectrophotometrically by measuring the decrease in absorbance of methyl green at 596 nm between 2 and 4 min using a fixed time method. Artificial neural networks with back propagation algorithm coupled with an orthogonal array design were applied to the modeling of the proposed kinetic system and optimization of experimental conditions. An orthogonal design was utilized to design the experimental protocol, in which pH, concentration of sulfite, temperature, and concentration of methyl green were varied simultaneously. Optimum experimental conditions in term of sensitivity were generated by using ANNs. The rate of decrease in absorbance is inversely proportional to the concentration of Hg(II) over entire concentration range tested (100-550 ng ml−1) with a detection limit of 45 ng ml−1 and a relative standard deviation at 200-400 ng ml−1 Hg(II) of 3.2% (n=5). A simple preconcentration step improved the limit of detection and linear dynamic range of the method to about 8 and 12-760 ng ml−1, respectively, by about 10 times enrichment of mercury between 12 and 75 ng ml−1. The method was based on enrichment of Hg(II) from dilute samples on an anionic ion exchanger fixed on a plastic strip and was applied to the determination of Hg(II) in environmental samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The H-point standard addition method (HPSAM) for simultaneous determination of Fe(II) and Fe(III) is described. The method is based on the difference in the rate of complex formation of iron in two different oxidation states with Gallic acid (GA) at pH 5. Fe(II) and Fe(III) can be determined in the range of 0.02–4.50 μg ml−1 and 0.05–5.00 μg ml−1, respectively, with satisfactory accuracy and precision in the presence of other metal ions, which rapidly form complexes with GA under working conditions. The proposed method was successfully applied for simultaneous determination of Fe(II) and Fe(III) in several environmental and synthetic samples with different concentration ratios of Fe(II) and Fe(III).  相似文献

The polarographic reduction of Co(II) in the presence of moxifloxacin (1-cyclopropyl-7-[(S,S)-2.8-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-8-yl]-6-fluoro-8-methoxy-1.4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid) gives rise to an additional adsorption peak corresponding to the reduction of Co(II)-moxifloxacin complex on the mercury drop electrode at −1.17 V. This new peak is applicable to Co(II) determination with the linearity proportional to the Co(II) concentration in the range of 4.93 × 10−7−6.90 × 10−5 M and can be attributed to an adsorption-controlled process with an irreversible reduction. Without using moxifloxacin, the polarographic determination of 2.50 × 10−6 M Co(II) is impossible under the given conditions due to very poor sensitivity at −1.38 V. The proposed method showed good precision and accuracy with a relative standard deviation of 3.01% and relative error of +6.40% for the determination of 2.50 × 10−6 M Co(II) next to 5.0 × 10−6 M of Zn(II), Ni(II), and Cd(II). The accuracy of the method was also checked by the determination of Co(II) spiked with tap water and certified sea water, and the percentage recoveries were 97.5 and 96.7%, respectively (n = 4 at 95% confidence interval). New complexes of Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ with a recently synthesized Schiff base derived from 3,6-bis((aminoethyl)thio)pyridazine were applied for their simultaneous determination with artificial neural networks. The analytical data show the ratio of metal to ligand in all metal complexes is 1:1. The absorption spectra were evaluated with respect to Schiff base concentration, pH and time of the color formation reactions. It was found that at pH 10.0 and 60 min after mixing, the complexation reactions are completed and the colored complexes exhibited absorption bands in the wavelength range 300-500 nm. Spectral data was reduced using principal component analysis and subjected to artificial neural networks. The data obtained from synthetic mixtures of four metal ions were processed by principal component-feed forward neural networks (PCFFNNs) and principal component-radial basis function networks (PCRBFNs). Performances of the proposed methods were tested with regard to root mean square errors of prediction (RMSEP%), using synthetic solutions. Under the working conditions, the proposed methods were successfully applied to simultaneous determination of Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ in different vegetable, foodstuff and pharmaceutical product samples.  相似文献

An improvement is presented on the simultaneous determination of two active ingredients present in unequal concentrations in injections. The analysis was carried out with spectrophotometric data and non-linear multivariate calibration methods, in particular artificial neural networks (ANNs). The presence of non-linearities caused by the major analyte concentrations which deviate from Beer's law was confirmed by plotting actual vs. predicted concentrations, and observing curvatures in the residuals for the estimated concentrations with linear methods. Mixtures of dextropropoxyphene and dipyrone have been analysed by using linear and non-linear partial least-squares (PLS and NPLSs) and ANNs. Notwithstanding the high degree of spectral overlap and the occurrence of non-linearities, rapid and simultaneous analysis has been achieved, with reasonably good accuracy and precision. A commercial sample was analysed by using the present methodology, and the obtained results show reasonably good agreement with those obtained by using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and a UV-spectrophotometric comparative methods.  相似文献

An artificial neural network (ANN) procedure was used in the development of a catalytic spectrophotometric method for the determination of Cu(II) and Ni(II) employing a stopped-flow injection system. The method is based on the catalytic action of these ions on the reduction of resazurin by sulfide. ANNs trained by back-propagation of errors allowed us to model the systems in a concentration range of 0.5-6 and 1-15 mg l−1 for Cu(II) and Ni(II), respectively, with a low relative error of prediction (REP) for each cation: REPCu(II) = 0.85% and REPNi(II) = 0.79%. The standard deviations of the repeatability (sr) and of the within-laboratory reproducibility (sw) were measured using standard solutions of Cu(II) and Ni(II) equal to 2.75 and 3.5 mg l−1, respectively: sr[Cu(II)] = 0.039 mg l−1, sr[Ni(II)] = 0.044 mg l−1, sw[Ni(II)] = 0.045 mg l−1 and sw[Ni(II)] = 0.050 mg l−1. The ANNs-kinetic method has been applied to the determination of Cu(II) and Ni(II) in electroplating solutions and provided satisfactory results as compared with flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry method. The effect of resazurin, NaOH and Na2S concentrations and the reaction temperature on the analytical sensitivity is discussed.  相似文献

A new catalytic and kinetic spectrophotometric method for the determination of vanadium(V) was studied using 2,3,4-trihydroxyacetophenonephenylhydrazone (THAPPH) as an analytical reagent. The present method was developed on the catalytic effect of vanadium on oxidation of THAPPH by hydrogen peroxide in hydrochloric acid–potassium chloride buffer (pH = 2.8) at the 20th minute. The metal ion has formed 1:2 (M:L) complex with THAPPH. Beer’s law was obeyed in the range 20–120 ng/mL of V(V) at λmax 390 nm. The sensitivity of the method was calculated in terms of molar absorptivity (1.999 × 105 L mol−1cm−1) and Sandell’s sensitivity (0.000254 μg cm−2), shows that this method is more sensitive. The standard deviation (0.0022), relative standard deviation (0.56%), confidence limit (±0.0015) and standard error (0.0007) revealed that the developed method has more precision and accuracy. The stability constant was calculated with the help of Asmu’s (9.411 × 10−11) and Edmond’s & Birnbaum’s (9.504 × 10−11) methods at room temperature. The interfering effect of various cations and anions was also studied. The present method was successfully applied for the determination of vanadium(V) in environmental and alloy samples. The method’s validity was checked by comparing the results obtained with atomic-absorption spectrophotometry and also by evaluation of results using F-test.  相似文献

The partial least squares (PLS-1) calibration model based on spectrophotometric measurement, for the simultaneous determination of CN and SCN ions is described. The method is based on the difference in the rate of the reaction between CN and SCN ions with chloramine-T in a pH 4.0 buffer solution and at 30 °C. The produced cyanogen chloride (CNCl) reacts with pyridine and the product condenses with barbituric acid and forms a final colored product. The absorption kinetic profiles of the solutions were monitored by measuring absorbance at 578 nm in the time range 20-180 s after initiation of the reaction with 2 s intervals. The experimental calibration matrix for partial least squares (PLS-1) calibration was designed with 31 samples. The cross-validation method was used for selecting the number of factors. The results showed that simultaneous determination could be performed in the range 10.0-900.0 and 50.0-1200.0 ng mL−1 for CN and SCN ions, respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of cyanide and thiocyanate in water samples.  相似文献

Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes were synthesized with thiosemicarbazone (L(1)) and semicarbazone (L(2)) derived from 2-acetyl furan. These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic moment, mass, IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies. The molar conductance measurement of the complexes in DMSO corresponds to non-electrolytic nature. All the complexes are of high-spin type. On the basis of different spectral studies six coordinated geometry may be assigned for all the complexes except Co(L)(2)(SO(4)) and Cu(L)(2)(SO(4)) [where L=L(1) and L(2)] which are of five coordinated square pyramidal geometry.  相似文献

Artificial neural networks (ANNs) are proposed for the determination of sulfite and sulfide simultaneously. The method is based on the reaction between Brilliant Green (BG) as a colored reagent and sulfite and/or sulfide in buffered solution (pH 7.0) and monitoring the changes of absorbance at maximum wavelength of 628 nm. Experimental conditions such as pH, reagents concentrations, and temperature were optimized and training the network was performed using principal components (PCs) of the original data. The network architecture (number of input, hidden and output nodes), and some parameters such as learning rate (η) and momentum (α) were also optimized for getting satisfactory results with minimum errors. The measuring range was 0.05-3.6 μg ml−1 for both analytes. The proposed method has been successfully applied to the quantification of the sulfite and sulfide in different water samples.  相似文献
