A sensitive and simple solid-phase preconcentration procedure for enrichment of cadmium prior to analysis by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) is described. The method is based on the adsorption of cadmium as CdI42− on naphthalene-methyltrioctylammonium chloride adsorbent, elution by nitric acid and subsequent determination by FAAS. The effect of pH, iodide concentration, sample flow rate, volume of the sample and diverse ions on the recovery of the analyte was investigated and optimum conditions were established. A preconcentration factor of 40 was achieved using the optimum conditions. The calibration graph was linear in the range 1-100 ng ml−1 cadmium in the initial solution. The detection limit based on the 3Sb criterion was 0.6 ng ml−1 and the relative standard deviations (RSD) were 3.9 and 1.05% for 5 and 40 ng ml−1, respectively (n=8). The method was successfully applied to the determination of cadmium added to river, tap and Persian Gulf water samples.  相似文献

A quantitative determination method of formic acid in apple juices is proposed by means of the proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) technique. Formic acid gives a singlet signal at the 8.2-8.4 ppm interval of the spectrum, and its area is used to determine the concentration of the acid. 1,3,5-Benzenetricarboxylic acid is added to the juice as an internal standard. Since the chemical shift of both species varies with the pH, ascorbic acid is also added to adjust it at 2.74 and to avoid the overlapping of the signals. Recoveries between 95 and 109% are obtained when the standard addition method is applied to the juices of five different cider apple varieties. The coefficient of variation obtained is 3.9% for intra-day repeatability (n = 5), and 4.6% for inter-day repeatability (n = 10). The limit of detection is 1.49 mg/l, calculated from “3Sy/x + intercept”. The described method is direct and no previous derivatization is needed.  相似文献

1H NMR spectroscopy was applied to the quantitative determination of malic and citric acids in apple, apricot, pear, kiwi, orange, strawberry and pineapple juices. Aspartic acid was studied as a potential interference. The effect of the sample pH on the chemical shifts of signals from malic, citric and aspartic acids was examined and a value of 1.0 was selected to carry out the determination. Integration of NMR signals at 2.89-2.95 and 3.00-3.04 ppm were used for calculating the concentration of malic and citric acids, respectively. At this pH the integrated signals were not overlapped. Sodium 3-(trimethylsilyl)tetradeuteropropionate (TSP) was used as an internal reference. The obtained results applying NMR procedures to analyze the juices from different fruits were compared to those obtained using enzymatic methods and both were in close agreement. The intra- and inter-day repeatability was tested for apple juice (7.86 g l−1 malic acid, 0.32 g l−1 citric acid) and apricot juice (5.06 g l−1 malic acid, 4.79 g l−1 citric acid) obtaining coefficients of variation lower than 3.4% for intra-day measures (n = 10) and lower than 3.8% for inter-day measures (n = 20).  相似文献

A novel flow-injection spectrophotometry has been developed for the determination of molybdenum(VI) at nanograms per milliliter levels. The method is based on the catalytic effect of molybdenum(VI) on the bromate oxidative coupling of p-hydrazinobenzenesulfonic acid with N-(1-naphthyl)ethylenediamine to form an azo dye (λmax = 530 nm). Chromotropic acid (4,5-dihydroxy-2,7-naphthalenedisulfonic acid) acted as an effective activator for the molybdenum(VI)-catalyzed reaction and increased the sensitivity of the method. The reaction was monitored by measuring the change in absorbance of the dye produced. The proposed method allowed the determination of molybdenum(VI) in the range 1.0-20 ng mL−1 with sample throughput of 15 h−1. The limit of detection was 0.5 ng mL−1 and a relative standard deviation for 10 ng mL−1 molybdenum(VI) (n = 10) was 2.5%. The interfering ions were eliminated by using the combination of a masking agent and on-line minicolumn packed with cation exchanger. The present method was successfully applied to the determination of molybdenum(VI) in plant foodstuffs.  相似文献

A new, simple and sensitive spectrofluorimetric method for the determination of salicylic acid (λex = 315 nm, λem = 408 nm) using As(III) as a sensitizing reagent has been investigated by measuring the increase of fluorescence intensity of salicylic acid due to the complexation of As(III)-salicylic acid in presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) 10−3 M. Under optimum conditions, a significant relationship was obtained between the fluorescence intensity and salicylic acid concentration. A linear calibration curve was obtained in the range 13.8-13812 μg l−1 with product-moment correlation coefficient (R) 0.99985 and detection limit 4.2 μg l−1. The R.S.D. is 2.35% (n = 5).The method was applied successfully to the determination of salicylic acid in human serum.  相似文献

A new simple, and rapid flow-injection spectrophotometric method is developed for the determination of trace amounts of Cu(II) by using a new chromogenic reagent acetylsalicylhydroxamic acid (AcSHA). The method is based on the formation of colored Cu(II)-(AcSHA)2 complex. The optimum conditions for the chromogenic reaction of Cu(II) with AcSHA is studied and the colored (green) complex is selectively monitored at λmax 700 nm. With the reagent carrier solvent (dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and acetate buffer, pH 4.2) flow-rate of 1 ml min−1, a detection limit (2S) of 1 μg l−1 Cu(II) was obtained at a sampling rate of 80 sample h−1. The calibration graph was linear in the Cu(II) concentration range 5-120 μg l−1. The relative standard deviation (n=10) was 0.64% for a sample containing 60 μg l−1 Cu(II). The detailed study of various interferences confirmed the high selectivity of the developed method. The method was successfully applied to determine trace amounts of copper(II) in river and seawater samples. The accuracy of the method was demonstrated by the analysis of standard reference materials C12X3500 and C14XHS 50.  相似文献

The proposed method for ascorbic acid: AA (Vitamin C) determination is based on the oxidation of AA to dehydroascorbic acid with the CUPRAC reagent of total antioxidant capacity assay, i.e., Cu(II)-neocuproine (Nc), in ammonium acetate-containing medium at pH 7, where the absorbance of the formed bis(Nc)-copper(I) chelate is measured at 450 nm. The flavonoids (essentially flavones and flavonols) normally interfering with the CUPRAC procedure were separated with preliminary extraction as their La(III) chelates into ethylacetate (EtAc). The Cu(I)-Nc chelate responsible for color development was formed immediately with AA oxidation. Beer's law was obeyed between 8.0 × 10−6 and 8.0 × 10−5 M concentration range, with the equation of the linear calibration curve: A450 nm = 1.60 × 104C (mol dm−3) − 0.0596. The relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) in the analysis of N = 45 synthetic mixtures containing 1.25 × 10−2 mM AA with flavonoids was 5.3%. The Cu(II)-Nc reagent is a lower redox-potential and therefore more selective oxidant than the Fe(III)-1,10-phenanthroline reagent conventionally used for the same assay. This feature makes the proposed method superior for real samples such as fruit juices containing weak reductants such as citrate, oxalate and tartarate that may otherwise produce positive errors in the Fe(III)-phen method when equilibrium is achieved. The developed method was applied to some commercial fruit juices and pharmaceutical preparations containing Vitamin C + bioflavonoids. The findings of the developed method for fruit juices and pharmaceuticals were statistically alike with those of HPLC. The proposed spectrophotometric method was practical, low-cost, rapid, and could reliably assay AA in the presence of flavonoids without enzymatic procedures open to interferences by enzyme inhibitors.  相似文献

This paper describes a simple and highly selective method for the separation, preconcentration and spectrophotometric determination of extremely low concentration of mercury. The method is based on the flotation of an ion-associate of HgI42− and ferroin between aqueous and n-heptane interface at pH 5. The ion-associate was then separated and treated with ammonia and dithizone solutions to extract only the mercury chelate with CH2Cl2. The measurement is feasible when the volume of the water sample containing Hg(II) was varied over 50-800 ml. Beer's law was obeyed over the concentration range of 8 × 10−9 to 1.6 × 10−7 mol l−1 with an apparent molar absorptivity of 6.53 × 106 l mol−1 cm−1 for a 500 ml aliquot of the water sample. The detection limit (n = 7) was 5.0 × 10−10 mol l−1 and the R.S.D. (n = 5) for 8.0 × 10−7 mol l−1 of Hg(II) was 3.7%. A notable advantage of the method is that the determination of Hg(II) is free from the interference of almost all cations and anions found in the environmental and waste water samples. The determination of Hg(II) in tap, synthetic sea water and human hair samples was carried out by the present method and cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry (CV-AAS). The results were satisfactorily comparable so that the applicability of the proposed method was confirmed to the real samples.  相似文献

The electroanalytical determination of isoprenaline in pharmaceutical preparations of a homemade carbon paste electrode modified with copper(II) hexacyanoferrate(III) (CuHCF) was studied by cyclic voltammetry. Several parameters were studied for the optimization of the sensor such as electrode composition, electrolytic solution, pH effect, potential scan rate and interferences in potential. The optimum conditions were found in an electrode composition (in mass) of 15% CuHCF, 60% graphite and 25% mineral oil in 0.5 mol l−1 acetate buffer solution at pH 6.0. The analytical curve for isoprenaline was linear in the concentration range from 1.96×10−4 to 1.07×10−3 mol l−1 with a detection limit of 8.0×10−5 mol l−1. The relative standard deviation was 1.2% for 1.96×10−4 mol l−1 isoprenaline solution (n=5). The procedure was successfully applied to the determination of isoprenaline in pharmaceutical preparations; the CuHCF modified carbon paste electrode gave comparable results to those results obtained using a UV spectrophotometric method.  相似文献

A highly sensitive potentiometric flow injection analysis method for the determination of manganese(II), utilizing a redox reaction with hexacyanoferrate(III) in near neutral media containing ammonium citrate is described. The analytical method is based on the detection of the change in potential of a flow-through type redox electrode detector, resulting from the composition change of an [Fe(CN)6]3−-[Fe(CN)6]4− potential buffer solution. A linear relationship between the potential change (peak height) and the concentration of manganese(II) was found. Manganese(II) in a wide concentration range from 10−4 to 10−7 M could be determined by appropriately altering the concentration of the potential buffer from 10−3 to 10−5 M. The lower detection limit of manganese(II) was determined to be 1×10−7 M. The sampling rate and relative standard deviation were 20 h−1 and 1.9% (n=8) for 6×10−6 M manganese(II), respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of manganese(II) in actual soil samples obtained from tea fields. Analytical results obtained by the proposed method were in good agreement with those obtained by an atomic absorption spectrophotometric method.  相似文献

Adrenaline was found to inhibit strongly the electrochemiluminescence (ECL) from the Ru(bpy)32+/tripropylamine system when a working Pt electrode was maintained at 1.05 V (versus Ag/AgCl) in pH 8.0 phosphate buffer. On this basis, a flow injection (FI) procedure with inhibited electrochemiluminescence detection has been developed for determination of adrenaline. The method exhibited a good reproducibility, sensitivity, and stability with a detection limit (signal-to-noise ratio = 3) of 7.0×10−9 mol l−1 and dynamic concentration range of 2×10−8 to 1×10−4 mol l−1. The relative standard deviation was 2.2% for 1.0×10−6 mol l−1 adrenaline (n=11). The method was successfully applied to the determination of adrenaline in pharmaceutical samples. Moreover, ECL emission spectra, UV-Vis absorption spectra and cyclic voltammograms of Ru(bpy)32+/tripropylamine/adrenaline were studied. The inhibition mechanism has been proposed as the interaction of electrogenerated Ru(bpy)32+* and the o-benzoquinone derivatives, adrenochrome and adrenalinequinone, at the electrode surface.  相似文献

A voltammetric procedure in the flow system for determination of traces of Cr(VI) in the presence of Cr(III) and humic acid is presented. The calibration graph is linear from 5×10−10 to 1×10−7 mol l−1 for an accumulation time of 120 s. The R.S.D. for 1×10−8 mol l−1 Cr(VI) is 5.3% (n=5). The detection limit estimated from 3σ for a low concentration of Cr(VI) and accumulation time of 120 s is 2×10−10 mol l−1. The method can be used for Cr(VI) determination in the presence of up to 50 mg l−1 of humic acid. The validation of the method was carried out by studying the recovery of Cr(VI) from spiked river water and by the comparison of the results of determination of Cr(VI) in a soil sample. The method cannot be used for analysis of samples containing high concentrations of chloride ions such as seawater and estuarine water.  相似文献

A highly sensitive flow-injection (FI) method with chemiluminescence (CL) detection is used for the determination of l-ascorbic acid. The method is based on the CL reaction of Rhodamine B with cerium(IV) in sulfuric acid media. l-Ascorbic acid is suggested to be a catalyst utilized in the energy-transferred excitation process. The proposed procedure allows quantitation of l-ascorbic acid in the range 3.8×10−13 to 1.0×10−10 mol l−1 with a correlation coefficient of 0.9998 (n=5) and relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) of 0.92% (n=11) at 1.0×10−11 mol l−1. The detection limit (3×blank) was 1.0×10−13 mol l−1. The method is successfully used to determine l-ascorbic acid in fresh vegetables. The possible mechanism of the chemiluminescence in the system is discussed.  相似文献

An analytical procedure for determination of As(III) and As(V) in soils using sequential extraction combined with flow injection (FI) hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry (HG-AFS) was presented. The soils were sequentially extracted by water, 0.6 mol l−1 KH2PO4 solution, 1% (v/v) HCl solution and 1% (w/v) NaOH solution. The arsenite (As(III)) in extract was analyzed by HG-AFS in the medium of 0.1 mol l−1 citric acid solution, then the total arsenic in extract was determined by HG-AFS using on-line reduction of arsenate with l-cysteine. The concentration of arsenate (As(V)) was calculated by the difference. The optimum conditions of extraction and determination were studied in detail. The detection limit (3σ) for As(III) and As(V) were 0.11 and 0.07 μg l−1, respectively. The relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) was 1.43% (n=11) at the 10 μg l−1 As level. The method was applied in the determination of As(III) and As(V) of real soils and the recoveries of As(III) and As(V) were in the range of 89.3-118 and 80.4-111%, respectively.  相似文献

The L-dopa is the immediate precursor of the neurotransmitter dopamine. Unlike dopamine, L-dopa easily enters the central nervous system and is used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. A sensitive and selective method is presented for the voltammetric determination of L-dopa in pharmaceutical formulations using a carbon paste electrode modified with trinuclear ruthenium ammine complex [(NH3)5RuIIIORuIV(NH3)4ORuIII(NH3)5]6+ (Ru-red) incorporated in NaY zeolite. The parameters which influence on the electrode response (paste composition, potential scan rate, pH and interference) were also investigated. The optimum conditions were found to an electrode composition (m/m) of 25% zeolite containing 6.7% Ru, 50% graphite and 25% mineral oil in acetate buffer at pH 4.8. Voltammetric peak currents showed a linear response for L-dopa concentration in the range between 1.2×10−4 and 1.0×10−2 mol l−1 (r=0.9988) with a detection limit of 8.5×10−5 mol l−1. The variation coefficient for a 1.0×10−3 mol l−1 L-dopa (n=10) was 5.5%. The results obtained for L-dopa in pharmaceutical formulations (tablet) was in agreement with compared official method. In conclusion, this study has illustrated that the proposed electrode modified with Ru-red incorporated zeolite is suitable valuable for selective measurements of L-dopa.  相似文献

An automated flow injection analysis system was developed for the fluorometric determination of dopamine in pharmaceutical injections. The method is based on the quenching effect of dopamine on m-dansylaminophenyl boronic acid (DAPB) fluorescence due to the reverse photo induced electron transfer (PET) mechanism. Effects of pH and interfering species on the determination of dopamine were examined. Calibration for dopamine, based on quenching data, was linear in the concentration range of 1.0 × 10−5 to 1.0 × 10−4 M. Detection limit (3 s) of the method was found to be 3.7 × 10−6 M. Relative standard deviation of 1.2% (n = 10) was obtained with 1.0 × 10−5 M dopamine standard solution. The proposed method was applied successfully for the determination of dopamine in pharmaceutical injection sample. The sampling rate was determined as 24 samples per hour.  相似文献

A new method for uric acid (UA) determination based on the quenching of the cathodic ECL of the tris(2,2-bipyridine)ruthenium(II)–uricase system is described. The biosensor is based on a double-layer design containing first tris(2,2-bipyridine)ruthenium(II) (Ru(bpy)32+) electrochemically immobilized on graphite screen-printed cells and uricase in chitosan as a second layer. The uric acid biosensing is based on the ECL quenching produced by uric acid over the cathodic ECL caused by immobilized Ru(bpy)32+ in the presence of uricase. The use of a −1.1 V pulse for 1 s with a dwelling time of 10 s makes it possible to estimate the initial enzymatic rate, which is used as the analytical signal. The Stern–Volmer type calibration function shows a dynamic range from 1.0 × 10−5 to 1.0 × 10−3 M with a limit of detection of 3.1 × 10−6 M and an accuracy of 13.6% (1.0 × 10−4 M, n = 5) as relative standard deviation. Satisfactory results were obtained for urine samples, creating an affordable alternative for uric acid determination.  相似文献

A sensitive fluorimetric method for determination of phytic acid in human urine samples was described. The method was based on a fluorimetric replacement reaction, in which the added phytic acid replaced the Cu2+ ion from Cu2+-gelatin complex, liberating the fluorescent gelatin molecule. The fluorescence of the solution was accordingly recovered proportionally to the amount of the foreign phytic acid. The excitation wavelength was 273.5 nm and the characteristic emission wavelength was 305.0 nm, respectively. The calibration graph was obtained by plotting the recovered fluorescent intensity at maximum 305.0 nm against the added standard phytic acid, and was divided into two sections. One section was linear over the range of 0.40-2.40 mg L−1 with a linear regression equation of If = −0.895 + 15.146c (R2 > 0.9993), and the other over the range of 2.40-9.20 mg L−1 with a linear regression equation of If = −29.526 + 26.113c (R2 > 0.9996), respectively. The relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) at 95% confidence degree for a 2.0 mg L−1 of standard phytic acid within 1 month was less than 1.26% (n = 5), indicating the procedure is reproducible. The detection and the quantification limits of phytic acid were estimated to be 0.23 and 0.40 mg L−1, respectively. The proposed method was applied to the determination of phytic acid in urine samples and the found concentrations of phytic acid in urine were in the range of 0.49-0.75 mg L−1 with recoveries of 96.2-108.8%. Comparison of the obtained results with the reported HPLC was performed, indicating the proposed method was reliable.  相似文献

A new rapid and sensitive FI assay is reported for the simultaneous direct spectrophotometric determination of trace Cr(VI) and Cr(III) in real samples. The method is based upon the reaction of Cr(VI) with chromotropic acid (CA) in highly acidic medium to form a water-soluble complex (λmax = 370 nm). Cr(III) reacts with CA only after its on-line oxidation to Cr(VI) by alkaline KIO4. The determination of each chromium species in the sample was achieved by absorbance differences. The calibration curves were linear over the range 3-4000 μg l−1 and 30-1200 μg l−1 for Cr(VI) and Cr(III), respectively, while the precision close to the quantitation limit was satisfactory in both cases (sr = 3.0% for Cr(VI) and 4.0% for Cr(III) (n = 10) at 10 and 50 μg l−1 level, respectively). The method developed proved to be adequately selective and sensitive (cL = 1 and 10 μg l−1 for Cr(VI) and Cr(III), respectively). The application of the method to the analysis of water samples (tap and mineral water) gave accurate results based on recovery studies (93-106%). Analytical results of real sample analysis were in good agreement with certified values.  相似文献

In this work, synergistic flotation of U(VI)-alizarin complex at the presence of some diamine compounds was firstly investigated by the spectrophotometric method. The flotation process was carried out on aliquots of 100 ml of U(VI) solutions containing alizarin and the diamine at pH of 5.00 using n-heptane. The floated layer was then dissolved in acetonitrile and its absorbance was measured. Since the synergistic effect of 4,4′-diaminophenylmethane (dapm) was much more than the others, it was used for the determination of U(VI) by this method. Beer's law was obeyed (λmax = 591 nm) in the range of 5 × 10−7 to 1 × 10−5 mol l−1 with the apparent molar absorptivity of 1.12 × 106 l mol−1 cm−1, and a correlation coefficient of 0.9991. The detection limit (n = 7) was 1 × 10−7 mol l−1, and the R.S.D. (n = 7) obtained for 4 × 10−6 mol l−1 of U(VI) was 2.23%. Except that only a few analogous cations, which could be masked by EDTA, no interference was observed at the presence of various conventional ions, even at high concentrations. The reliability and applicability of the method were confirmed using some geological standard reference materials and spiked synthetic water samples, respectively.  相似文献
