In this paper we calculate the center-of-mass energy of two colliding test particles near the rotating and non-rotating Horava–Lifshitz black hole. For the case of a slowly rotating KS solution of Horava–Lifshitz black hole we compare our results with the case of Kerr black holes. We confirm the limited value of the center-of-mass energy for static black holes and unlimited value of the center-of-mass energy for rotating black holes. Numerically, we discuss temperature dependence of the center-of-mass energy on the black hole horizon. We obtain the critical angular momentum of particles. In this limit the center-of-mass energy of two colliding particles in the neighborhood of the rotating Horava–Lifshitz black hole could be arbitrarily high. We found appropriate conditions where the critical angular momentum could have an orbit outside the horizon. Finally, we obtain the center-of-mass energy corresponding to this circle orbit.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct rotating charged hairy black hole in (2+1) dimensions for infinitesimal black hole charge and rotation parameters. Then we consider this black hole as particle accelerator and calculate the center-of-mass energy of two colliding test particles near the rotating charged hairy black hole in (2+1) dimensions. As we expected, the center-of-mass energy has infinite value.  相似文献

We study the collision of two geodesic particles in the accelerating and rotating black hole spacetime and probe the effects of the acceleration of black hole on the center-of-mass energy of the colliding particles and on the high-velocity collision belts. We find that the dependence of the center-of-mass energy on the acceleration in the near event-horizon collision is different from that in the near acceleration-horizon case. Moreover, the presence of the acceleration changes the shape and position of the high-velocity collision belts. Our results show that the acceleration of black holes brings about richer physics for the collision of particles.  相似文献

We study the collision property of spinning particles near a Ba?ados-Teitelboim-Zanelli(BTZ)black hole. Our results show that although the center-of-mass energy of two ingoing particles diverges if one of the particles possesses a critical angular momentum, the particle with critical angular momentum cannot exist outside of the horizon due to violation of the timelike constraint.Further detailed investigation indicates that only a particle with a subcritical angular momentum is allowed to exist near an extremal rotating BTZ black hole, and the corresponding collision center-of-mass energy can be arbitrarily large in a critical angular momentum limit.  相似文献

We study the center-of-mass energy of the particles colliding in the vicinity of acceleration and event horizons of the Plebanski and Demianski class of black holes. We calculate the collision energy of uncharged particles in the center-of-mass frame that are freely falling along the equatorial plane of a charged accelerating and rotating black hole with an NUT parameter. This energy turns out to be infinite in the non-extremal case, while in the extremal case, it becomes infinitely large near the event horizon only if the particle has the critical angular momentum. We conclude that the center-of-mass energy depends on the rotation and the NUT parameter.  相似文献

Shortly after the discovery of the Kerr metric in 1963, it was realized that a region existed outside of the black hole’s event horizon where no time-like observer could remain stationary. In 1969, Roger Penrose showed that particles within this ergosphere region could possess negative energy, as measured by an observer at infinity. When captured by the horizon, these negative energy particles essentially extract mass and angular momentum from the black hole. While the decay of a single particle within the ergosphere is not a particularly efficient means of energy extraction, the collision of multiple particles can reach arbitrarily high center-of-mass energy in the limit of extremal black hole spin. The resulting particles can escape with high efficiency, potentially serving as a probe of high-energy particle physics as well as general relativity. In this paper, we briefly review the history of the field and highlight a specific astrophysical application of the collisional Penrose process: the potential to enhance annihilation of dark matter particles in the vicinity of a supermassive black hole.  相似文献

It has recently been shown that black holes can act as particle accelerators and two particles can collide with arbitrarily high center-of-mass (CM) energy under certain critical conditions. In this paper, we investigate particle collisions outside a Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter (RN-dS) black hole. We find that infinite CM energy can be produced near the cosmological horizon for generic spacetime configurations. Remarkably, such infinite CM energy does not require the black hole to be extremal, in contrast to spacetimes in the absence of cosmological constants. However, since the charge of an astrophysical body is negligible, the required charge to mass ratio of the particle is extremely higher than that of any elementary particle.  相似文献

Recently, in the series of works a new effect of acceleration of particles by black holes has been found. Under certain conditions, the energy in the center-of-mass system can become infinitely large. The essential ingredient of such effect is the rotation of a black hole. In this work, it has been argued that the similar effect exists for a nonrotating but charged black hole even for the simplest case of radial motion of particles in the Reissner-Nordström background. All main features of the effect under discussion due to rotating black holes have their counterpart for the nonrotating charged ones.  相似文献

It has recently been pointed out that, under certain conditions, the energy of particles accelerated by black holes in the center-of-mass frame can become arbitrarily high. In this paper, we study the collision of two particles in the case of four-dimensional charged nonrotating, extremal charged rotating and near-extremal charged rotating Kaluza-Klein black holes as well as the naked singularity case in Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory. We find that the center-of-mass energy for a pair of colliding particles is unlimited at the horizon of charged nonrotating Kaluza-Klein black holes, extremal charged rotating Kaluza-Klein black holes and in the naked singularity case.  相似文献

Here we consider accelerating and rotating charged Plebanski-Demianski (PD) class of black hole metric as a particle accelerator. We obtain the geodesic motions (timelike, null and spacelike) of particles in a non-equatorial plane around the PD black hole. We find the effective potential, energy, angular momentum, impact parameters, and discuss the circular orbit. We study the center of mass energy of two neutral particles falling from infinity to near the non-extremal horizons (event and Cauchy horizons), extremal horizon, accelerating horizons, and near the center of the PD black hole. Also, we study the collision of a particle and a massless photon. Then we find the center of mass energy due to the collision of two massless photons in the PD black hole background. We compute the redshift and blueshift of the emitted photons by massive particles while light signal travels along null geodesics towards the observer located far away from the source. We study the Penrose process, which occurs within the ergosphere, and examines the particle’s motion with its implications. Here, we analyze the PD black hole shadow’s apparent shape, which forms far away from the black hole. We study the possible visibility of the PD black hole through photon’s shadow and energy emission rate. We also investigate the effect on the shadow of the PD black hole in plasma for a distant observer. We study the strong gravitational lensing by PD black hole. Finally, we analyze the deflection angle, lens equation, position, magnification, Einstein ring and observables by taking the supermassive PD black hole in the Galaxy’s center.  相似文献

For Hawking radiation, treated as a tunneling process, the no-hair theorem of black hole together with the law of energy conservation is utilized to postulate that the tunneling rate only depends on the external qualities (e.g., the mass for the Schwarzschild black hole) and the energy of the radiated particle. This postulate is justified by the WKB approximation for calculating the tunneling probability. Based on this postulate, a general formula for the tunneling probability is derived without referring to the concrete form of black hole metric. This formula implies an intrinsic correlation between the successive processes of the black hole radiation of two or more particles. It also suggests a kind of entropy conservation and thus resolves the puzzle of black hole information loss in some sense.  相似文献

We investigate the horizon structure and ergosphere in a rotating Bardeen regular black hole, which has an additional parameter (g) due to the magnetic charge, apart from the mass (M) and the rotation parameter (a). Interestingly, for each value of the parameter g, there exists a critical rotation parameter (\(a=a_{E}\)), which corresponds to an extremal black hole with degenerate horizons, while for \(a<a_{E}\) it describes a non-extremal black hole with two horizons, and no black hole for \(a>a_{E}\). We find that the extremal value \(a_E\) is also influenced by the parameter g, and so is the ergosphere. While the value of \(a_E\) remarkably decreases when compared with the Kerr black hole, the ergosphere becomes thicker with the increase in g. We also study the collision of two equal mass particles near the horizon of this black hole, and explicitly show the effect of the parameter g. The center-of-mass energy (\(E_\mathrm{CM}\)) not only depend on the rotation parameter a, but also on the parameter g. It is demonstrated that the \(E_\mathrm{CM}\) could be arbitrarily high in the extremal cases when one of the colliding particles has a critical angular momentum, thereby suggesting that the rotating Bardeen regular black hole can act as a particle accelerator.  相似文献

Scattering of particles in the gravitational field of rotating black holes is considered. It is shown that scattering energy of particles in the centre of mass system can obtain very large values not only for extremal black holes but also for nonextremal ones. Extraction of energy after the collision is investigated. It is shown that due to the Penrose process the energy of the particle escaping the hole at infinity can be large. Contradictions in the problem of getting high energetic particles escaping the black hole are resolved.  相似文献

Using the related formula of dynamic black hole, we have calculated the instantaneous radiation energy density of the slowly changing dynamic Kerr-Newman black hole. It is found that the instantaneous radiation energy density of a black hole is always proportional to the quartic of the temperature of the event horizon in the same direction. By using the Hamilton-Jacobin equation of scalar particles in the curved spacetime, the spontaneous radiation of the slowly changing dynamic Kerr-Newman black hole is studied. The energy condition for the occurrence of the spontaneous radiation is obtained.  相似文献

A small black hole attached to a brane in a higher-dimensional space emitting quanta into the bulk may leave the brane as a result of a recoil. We construct a field theory model in which such a black hole is described as a massive scalar particle with internal degrees of freedom. In this model, the probability of transition between the different internal levels is identical to the probability of thermal emission calculated for the Schwarzschild black hole. The discussed recoil effect implies that the thermal emission of the black holes, which might be created by interaction of high energy particles in colliders, could be terminated and the energy nonconservation can be observed in the brane experiments.  相似文献

In this article, we study the circular motion of particles and the well-known Penrose mechanism around a Kerr-Newman-Kasuya black hole spacetime. The inner and outer horizons, as well as ergosurfaces of the said black hole, are briefly examined under the effect of spin and dyonic charge. Moreover, by limiting our exploration to the equatorial plane, we discuss the characteristics of circular geodesics and investigate both photons, as well as marginally stable circular orbits. It is noted that black hole charge diminishing the radii of photon and marginally stable circular orbits. To investigate the nature of particle dynamics, we studied the effective potential and Lyapunov exponent. While inspecting the process of energy extraction, we derived the Wald inequality, which can help us to locate the energy limits of the Penrose process. Furthermore, we have found expressions for the negative energy states and the efficiency of energy extraction. The obtained result illustrates that both black hole rotation and dyonic charge contributes to the efficiency of energy extraction.  相似文献
