Polyvinylcarbazole (PVK) composites containing graphene in an amount of somewhat less than 0.15 wt % exhibit third-order dielectric susceptibility due to the presence of graphene, as well as photoelectric and photorefractive sensitivity at 1064 nm. The photorefractive (PR) effect is known to occur in a polymer composite that possesses both photoelectric sensitivity and nonlinear optical properties. The photoelectric, nonlinear optical, and PR properties of PVK composites with graphene have been considered in this paper.  相似文献

偶氮苯侧链结构对聚丙烯酸酯三阶非线性光学性能影响   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
设计合成了一系列含偶氮苯非线性生色团的丙烯酸酯,并采用溶液聚合法合成了功能化的聚丙烯酸酯,利用FTIR、NMR、UV等对化合物的结构进行了表征,证实得到了指定结构的化合物.利用Z扫描技术对合成的聚丙烯酸酯的非线性光学性能进行了研究,通过对聚合物的非线性光学吸收拟合,计算得到非线性吸收系数β和三阶非线性系数χ(3),并探讨了取代基生色团分子结构与高分子三阶非线性光学性能的关系,结果显示增大侧链生色团π电子离域长度或强DπA(推拉基团)结构均可有效提高聚合物的三阶非线性光学性能.  相似文献

Photorefractive materials based on unplasticized polymers that have a high glass-transition temperature and the frozen random orientation of chromophores were prepared by layer casting. Under these conditions, only the third-order susceptibility has a nonzero value, increasing with an increase in the conjugation-chain length and reaching considerable values in the case of nanosized molecules, such as single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). In SWNT-containing polyvinylcarbazole, the photoelectric sensitivity and photorefractive characteristics were measured at 1064 nm. Using electric-field induced second-harmonic generation, the third-order susceptibility was estimated. In a composite containing 0.26 wt % SWNT, the diffraction grating is displaced by 5° relative to the interference pattern, the result that is presumably due to the close mobility of unlike charge carriers. Therefore, the beam-coupling gain coefficient Γ and the net gain Γ-α have low values, which are 53 and 42 cm?1, respectively, at 115 V/μm.  相似文献

设计合成了一类以2-二氰基次甲基-3-氰基-4,5,5-三甲基-2,5-二氢呋喃(TCF)为受体、己氧基取代噻吩为π电子桥的新型有机非线性光学化合物, 并利用紫外光谱、红外光谱、核磁共振以及质谱对化合物分子结构进行了鉴定, 同时对此类化合物在有机聚合物体系中的电光性能进行了表征和研究. 结果发现, 该类发色团分子与聚合物相容性好, 电光活性高, 并且随着发色团分子在聚合物体系中浓度的升高, 聚合物体系的宏观电光活性也有所提高, 甚至当发色团的掺杂质量分数高达47.2%时, 体系的电光活性仍呈上升趋势, 显示了该发色团的静电相互作用得到了明显抑制. 此时测得聚合物体系的电光系数为30 pm/V(1310 nm).  相似文献

 Four phenoxysilicon networks for nonlinear optical (NLO) applications were designed and prepared by an extended sol-gel process without additional H2O and catalyst. All poled polymer network films possess high second-order nonlinear optical coefficients (d33) of 10-?~10-8 esu. The investigation of NLO temporal stability at room temperature and elevated temperature (120℃) indicated that these films exhibit high d33 stability because the orientation of the chromophores are locked in the phenoxysilicon organic/inorganic networks.  相似文献

合成了6个新型AπDπA型3,6-二取代咔唑多极生色分子, 用红外光谱、核磁共振等对其结构进行了表征. 用Z-扫描方法研究了这些分子的三阶非线性光学性质. 实验结果表明, 这些分子具有较大的三阶极化率, 延长共轭链长度, 增加电子受体强度, 引入芳香杂环, 都能增强分子内电荷转移, 这种效应增加了分子的跃迁矩, 使三阶极化率增大.  相似文献

Extended bis(donor)-substituted squaraine chromophores exhibit very high two-photon cross-sections (as high as 33 000 GM) in the near-IR; these can be attributed to the combination of large transition dipoles with small detuning energies. The modulus of the third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility at 1.3 mum has been found to be 7.0 x 10-11 esu for one of these chromophores.  相似文献

We synthesized new nonlinear optical (NLO) chromophores containing a 3,5‐bis(3,5‐bisbenzyloxy‐benzyloxy)‐benzoate dendron. Tricyanopyrroline (TCP)‐based chromophores were designed and prepared by virtue of its strong electron withdrawing property. A soluble polyimide containing 6‐({4‐[2‐(1‐allyl‐4‐cyano‐5‐dicyanomethylene‐2‐oxo‐2,5‐dihydro‐1H‐pyrrol‐3‐yl)‐vinyl]‐phenyl}‐butyl‐amino)‐hexanoyl group in the side chain was also prepared as an NLO active host polymer. A benzoate dendron was tethered at two different binding positions of the chromophore to yield two different guest molecules. Thin‐film composites of these dendronized chromophores dissolved in the NLO active polyimide host were employed to fabricate the electro‐optic (EO) samples. The EO properties of new NLO polyimides containing dendronized chromophores were compared with those of the sample with nondendronized plain chromophores. A new strategy for the self‐polymerization of chromophores is investigated to develop a 2,7‐carbazole‐based nonlinear optical (NLO) conjugated polymer with an increasing conjugation length of chromophores. Elongation of the conjugation‐path length in chromophores has established engineering guidelines to enhance optical nonlinearity. Compared with the traditional synthesis of an NLO polymer, the chromophores should be well‐designed at a limited conjugation spacer, and then incorporated into a polymer matrix. In this research, the π‐conjugation spacer of chromophores extended perpendicularly to the dipole of chromophores during the polymerization process. Furthermore, this study marks the first research of integrating the π‐electrons of chromophores and conjugated polymers. These conjugated backbones promote a bulk‐polarization response, leading to large NLO coefficients.

Present paper mainly focuses on the synthesis, characterization polyindole-ZnO nano composites for third order nonlinear optical applications. Polyindole was synthesized through oxidative polymerization technique and its composites were prepared with different ZnO concentration. Structural morphology of the polymer composite was studied using FESEM, XRD and UV Visible spectroscopic technique. Polymer showed broad absorption with absorption maxima of 395 nm. Newly prepared thin films showed excellent nonlinear absorption with very good optical limiting behaviour when it is exposed to He-Ne laser with maximum optical limiting power of 11 mW along with third-order nonlinear susceptibility χ(3) of 2.72 × 10?3 esu. Hence these polymer composites may be potential candidate for optical limiting applications.  相似文献

Three metal-organic polymers, [CoCl2(bpfp)]n 1, {[NiCl2(bpfp)2](H2O)3}n 2 and [ZnCl2(bpfp)]n 3 (bpfp = N,N'-bis(3-pyridylformyl)piperazine), are formed by the self-assembly of the flexible bpfp with MCl2 (M = Co, Ni, Zn), respectively. X-Ray single-crystal structural analysis reveals that polymer 1 exhibits a novel grid network, in which the grid is composed of segments of bpfp and cobalt ions. Polymer 2 consists of 2D rhombohedral grids, the dimensions of the grid are 15.782 x 12.434 A2 and the diagonal-to-diagonal distances are 13.186 x 25.169 A2. In polymer 3, infinite wavelike chains are extended to 2D supramolecular arrays via C-H...Cl hydrogen bonds. The third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) behaviors of 1-3 and bpfp were investigated in dilute DMF solution by Z-scan measurement. The results show that 1, 2 and 3 exhibit good third-order NLO properties, which are quite different from bpfp that shows weak NLO behavior. This paper demonstrates that metal ions can strongly influence the crystal structures and third-order NLO properties of polymers.  相似文献

Three novel nonlinear chromophores with symmetric D-π-D molecular structure and extended conjugated length were synthesized. Solvatochromism analysis shows great symmetric intramolecular charge transfer occurring in chromophores by the enhancement in the dipole moment between the ground and excited states. The properties of optical power limiting induced by three-photon absorption (3PA) are demonstrated. Large 3PA coefficients and the corresponding molecular cross sections as high as 10-74 cm6s2 were obtained for nanosecond laser pulses at 1.06 μm from nonlinear transmission measurements.  相似文献

A series of novel nonlinear optical (NLO) chromophores 1-4 incorporating the ferrocenyl (Fc) group as an electron donor and 2-dicyanomethylene-3-cyano-4-methyl-2,5-dihydrofuran (TCF) derivatives as electron acceptors are presented. The use of a constant Fc donor and varied acceptors and bridges makes it possible to systematically determine the contribution of the conjugated bridge and the acceptor strength to chromophore nonlinear optical activity. The X-ray crystal structures of all four chromophores allow for the systematic investigation of the structure-property relationship for this class of molecules. For example, the crystal structures reveal that both cyclopentadienyl groups in the ferrocenyl donor contribute to the electron donating ability. The first-order hyperpolarizabilities beta of these chromophores, measured by hyper-Rayleigh scattering (HRS) relative to p-nitroaniline are reported. These beta values are compared to those calculated by density functional theory (DFT). The excellent agreement between the theoretical and experimental beta values demonstrates that a linear relation exists between the hyperpolarizability and the bond length alternation. An electrooptic coefficient, r(33), of approximately 25 pm/V at 1300 nm, for compound 4, incorporated into a polymer matrix, is competitive with organic chromophores. Moreover, this r(33) is more than 30 times larger than the previously reported value for an organometallic chromophore in a poled polymer matrix. This work not only underscores the potential for Fc donor moieties, which have been underutilized, but also demonstrates that experimental characterization and theoretical simulations are now congruent, viable methods for assessing potential performance of NLO materials.  相似文献

An epoxy based polymer with nonlinear optical azo chromophores was designed to contain anionic groups to induce water solubility and self assembly. Using this polyanion with a polycation, multilayers were prepared on a glass substrate by alternating adsorption from dilute aqueous solutions. The azo chromophores in the confined layer of the polyanion in the multilayer films self-assemble into a noncentrosymmetric alignment and demonstrate second order optical nonlinearity (d33 = 19 pm/V).  相似文献

We compare the photochemical stability of the nonlinear optical chromophore configurationally locked polyene 2-{3-[2-(4-dimethylaminophenyl)vinyl]-5,5-dimethylcyclohex-2-enylidene} malononitrile (DAT2) embedded in a polymeric matrix and in a single-crystalline configuration. The results show that, under resonant light excitations, the polymeric compound degrades through an indirect process, while the DAT2 crystal follows a slow direct process. We show that chromophores in a crystalline environment exhibit three orders of magnitude better photostability as compared to guest-host polymer composites.  相似文献

两种经过化学修饰的PPV(聚对苯撑乙烯)类共轭高分子共聚物分别与纳米TiO2复合,作为有机/无机复合材料进行研究.这两种共聚物在乙醇、二氯甲烷溶液中分别与以Sol-Gel法、反胶束法制得的TiO2共混得到均匀分散的体系而不出现相分离.用共聚物与TiO2的复合液可以在石英基底上制成均匀的复合膜.结果表明,高聚物/TiO2复合物的光物理特性与单纯的高聚物相比呈现明显的差异;不同粒径的纳米TiO2对复合物性能的影响不同;中间苯环的取代基对共聚物的性质影响明显.共轭高分子与纳米TiO2复合涂膜后其发光性能明显改善,有作为发光器件的应用前景.  相似文献

Thermolysis of low and high molecular aliphatic carboxylated compounds in composite systems based on nanosized aluminum were studied by the thermal desorption mass spectrometry. The conditions for maximal separation of the thermolysis products and their composition were determined. The kinetic parameters of thermal desorption and thermal degradation of the modifiers were calculated. Differences in the thermal stabilities of the polymer composites based on nanosized aluminum and different modifiers (carboxylated divinyl and divinyl nitrile oligomers) were presented.  相似文献

Novel chromophores Ch1–8 based verbenone bridge with various strong donors and acceptors were designed for applications in nonlinear optics, and the nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of those verbenone-type chromophores were systematically investigated using the bond length alteration (BLA) theory, two states model (TSM) and sum-over-states (SOS) model. The results show that several verbenone-based chromophores possess remarkably large molecular second-order hyperpolarizabilities, which is due to its electron distribution close to the cyanine limit, the appropriate strength of acceptor, rather large change in dipole moment and low excitation energy. Computed hyperpolarizability (βtot) of Ch6 also approach an outstanding 2922 × 10−30 esu in TFE. The hyperpolarizability density analyses and two states model (TSM) were carried out to make a further insight into the origination of molecular nonlinearity of this unique system, suggesting that tuning structure of acceptor and polarity of the medium have great influence on the second-order nonlinear optical properties. More importantly, chromophores Ch1–Ch8 exhibited distinct features in two-dimensional second order NLO responses, and the strong electro-optical Pockels effect and optical rectification responses. The excellent electronic sum frequency generations (SFG) and difference frequency generations (DFG) effect are observed in these verbenone-type chromophores. These chromophores have a possibility to be appealing second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) materials, data storage materials and DSSCs materials from the standpoint of large β values, high LHE, and excellent two-dimensional second order NLO responses.  相似文献

Magnetoelectric polymer nanocomposite structures are synthesized using conducting polyaniline and nanosized BFO particles through in situ sol–gel polymerization.
