The asymptotic symmetries in the Brans-Dicke theory are analyzed using Penrose's conformal completion method,which is independent of the coordinate system used.These symmetries,indeed,include supertranslations and Lorentz transformations for an asymptotically flat spacetime.With the Wald-Zoupas formalism,“conserved charges”and fluxes of the Bondi-Metzner-Sachs algebra are computed.The scalar degree of freedom contributes only to the Lorentz boost charge,even though it plays a role in various fluxes.The flux-balance laws are further applied to constrain the displacement memory,spin memory,and center-of-mass memory effects.  相似文献

Group A streptococcus (GAS) or Streptococcus pyogenes causes various diseases ranging from self-limiting sore throat to deadly invasive diseases. The genome size of GAS is 1.85–1.9 Mb, and genomic rearrangement has been demonstrated. GAS possesses various surface-associated substances such as hyaluronic capsule, M proteins, and fibronectin/laminin/immunoglobulin-binding proteins. These are related to the virulence and play multifaceted and mutually reflected roles in the pathogenesis of GAS infections. Invasion of GAS into epithelial cells and deeper tissues provokes immune and non-immune defense or inflammatory responses including the recruitment of neutrophils, macrophages, and dendritic cells in hosts. GAS frequently evades host defense mechanisms by using its virulence factors. Extracellular products of GAS may perturb cellular and subcellular functions and degrade tissues enzymatically, which leads to the aggravation of local and/or systemic disorders in the host. In this review, we summarize some important cellular and extracellular substances that may affect pathogenic processes during GAS infections, and the host responses to these.  相似文献

The classical Hamiltonian ) of the very classical quantum harmonic oscillator, which is regarded as a germ of the most of what comes about in quantum mechanics, can be sublimed to an abstract operator in a separable Hilbert space. Having this done one may ask for a condition which would allow it to be identified among operators of a suitable class. Zeeman (1964) has shown that the group of automorphisms for the relation of causality on Minkowski space is that generated by the orthochronous Poincaré (Halpern, 1968) group and dilatations. Here we prove that the group of automorphisms that preserve the time-like vectors of Minkowski space normwise is the complete Poincaré group. We prove that the timelike structure within the null cone of a single event does define the whole structure of Minkowski space. Further, it is shown that only inertial observers can use Minkowski space to describe space-time.  相似文献

We consider a classical Coulomb gas with a short distance cutoff in two dimensions; equivalently a Sine-Gordon field theory. For low temperature β-1 and low activityz the gas is in a multipole phase, the Kosterlitz-Thouless phase. For β>8π andz sufficiently small we give a complete renormalization group analysis for this phase and show that the flow of the effective measures is toward a free field (infrared asymptotic freedom). A one-loop renormalization group analysis is presented of the Gelmini-Roncadelli model of neutrino mass generation via an extended Higgs sector. We are unable to find values for the quartic scalar couplings at the W mass scale which cause the combined Higgs-gauge couplings to evolve to a stable fixed point of the renormalization group. As a consequuence this model may well be “trivial” in the same sense as λφ4 theory is believed to be in four dimensions.  相似文献

Jordan demonstrated that the group of homogeneous transformations of degree one in ?5 is homomorphic to the symmetry group of the Einstein-Maxwell equations in vacuum. It is shown that the Jordan homomorphism theorem is also applicable to the inhomogeneous general linear group. We consider the pair of degenerate compatible antibrackets satisfying a generalization of the axioms imposed in the triplectic quantization of gauge theories. We show that these data encode a Lie group structure such that the antibrackets are related to the left- and right- invariant vector fields on the group. Conversely, every Lie group admits a “triplectic bundle.” The standard triplectic quantization axioms then correspond to Abelian Lie groups.  相似文献

We argue that any reasonable measure D(v|m) of the dispersion (or information deficit) of an m-continuous probability measure v relative to a reference measure m should satisfy the following natural conditions: It should be formally reasonable, restrictedly continuous, invariant under density-preserving maps, quasi-subadditive and additive.
