The subject of this paper is the control of computer-simulated drying processes for the purpose of their optimization. The simulated processes are carried out in such a way that the drying-induced stresses never exceed the stress limit. This paper presents results of a mechanically admissible drying process on the example of a prismatic bar dried convectively, using the theory for drying of capillary-porous materials. The procedure of designing the safe drying processes, in which the destruction of dried materials no longer proceeds, is presented.  相似文献

The deformations and the evolution of drying-induced stresses in wood are studied based on a model which takes into account the alteration of mechanical properties of wood in the course of drying. A two-dimensional initial-boundary value problem is solved with the help of the finite element method. An influence of wood anisotropy on the deformation and the stress distributions and evolution of maximal stresses is analysed.  相似文献

The paper presents a contribution to modelling the problem of vapour–liquid interface receding into dried body and stresses induced by drying of capillary-porous bodies. A complex algorithm comprising the specific mechanisms of drying in the first and second periods of drying is constructed. It enables calculation and drawing of the body temperature and drying curves for the whole drying process and identification of the vapour–liquid interface receding into the body. The drying induced stresses caused by the receding vapour–liquid interface and the non-uniform distribution of moisture content and/or temperature are analyzed. Numerical calculations of the temperature and drying curves and the drying induced stresses are carried out for the example of a finite dimensional kaolin cylinder dried convectively.  相似文献

The present paper is concerned with the stresses generated in a capillary-porous wall saturated from the bottom and dried naturally on its side planes. The upper cross-section of the wall is totally isolated and no heat and moisture transfer occurs through it, while the bottom one has an a priori determined temperature and moisture content. The vertical planes of the wall are surrounded by air having different temperatures and moisture contents on the left and the right sides. The problem is solved numerically based on a mechanistic model of drying earlier developed by the authors. The distributions of temperature, moisture content, and the drying induced stresses are determined. The variation of temperature on the wall left and right surfaces is analysed dependent on the surroundings temperature. The influence of boundary conditions on the stress distribution in the wall is discussed.  相似文献

The shakedown analysis of structures under variable multi-loadings is considered, and the corresponding simple shakedown condition is presented in this paper. Distribution of fixed stresses field is given, and the self-equilibrium of fixed stresses field is analyzed. Elastic shakedown and plastic shakedown conditions are presented based on the fixed stresses field. The theorem is convenient to evaluate the shakedown limit of structures under cyclical variable multiloadings through solving positive scalar fields and fixed stresses field factors at a series of dangerous positions of the structure, and tedious computations are avoided. Finally the theorem is applied to a thick-walled cylindrical tube under variable pressure and temperature, and the rolling contact problem. The results are in good agreement with some computational results.  相似文献

The paper presents a simple mathematical model of drying that permits evaluation of moisture content distribution in dried wood during the constant and falling drying rate periods and, in particular, estimation of stresses generated from the moment when the moisture content at the body surface reaches the fibre saturation point (FSP). The acoustic emission method (AE) is used for monitoring the state of stress in dried wood. The numerically evaluated drying induced stresses are compared with the number of acoustic signals and their energy monitored on line during drying tests. It can be stated that the enhanced emission of acoustic signals occurs at those moments when the drying induced stresses approach their maximum. Both the numerical calculus and the experimental tests were conducted on a pine-wood sample in the form of a disk.  相似文献

We investigate the elastic field near the tip of an anticrack in a homogeneous decagonal quasicrystalline material subject to plane strain deformations. The two-dimensional problem of a rigid rounded-off angle triangular inclusion partially bonded in an infinite elastic plate is studied. The unbonded part of the inclusion boundary forms an interfacial crack. Based on the complex variable method for curvilinear boundaries, the problem is reduced to a non-homogeneous Hilbert problem and the stress and displacement fields in the plate are obtained in closed form. Special attention is paid in the investigation of the stress field in the vicinity of the crack tip. It is found that the stresses present an oscillatory singularity and the general equations for the local stresses are derived. The singular stress field is coupled with the maximum circumferential stress and the minimum strain energy density criteria to study the fracture characteristics of the composite plate. Results are given for the complex stress intensity factors, the local stresses, the crack extension angles and the critical applied loads for unstable crack growth from its more vulnerable tip or two types of interfacial cracks along the inclusion boundary.  相似文献

This paper deals with the electromagnetoelastic problem of an elastic, conducting circular cylinder with a penny-shaped crack under a uniform axial current flow and a constant axial magnetic field. The current flow is disturbed by the presence of the crack and the torsional stresses are caused by the interactions between the magnetic field and the disturbed current. Two problems concerning the electric current density field and the electromagnetoelastic field are formulated by means of integral transform techniques and reduced to two Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. Numerical calculations are carried out and stress intensity factors are obtained for several values of the geometric parameters.  相似文献

In this study, the transient full field response of an interface crack between two different media subjected to dynamic body force at one material is investigated. For time t < 0, the bimaterial medium is stress free and at rest. At t = 0, a concentrated anti-plane dynamic point loading is applied at the medium as shown in Fig. 1. The total wave field is due to the effect of this point loading and the scattering of the incident waves by the interface crack. An alternative methodology that is different from the conventional superposition method is used to construct the reflected, refracted and diffracted wave fields. A useful fundamental solution is proposed in this study and the full field solution is determined by superposition of the fundamental solution in the Laplace transform domain. The proposed fundamental problem is the problem of applying an exponentially distributed traction (in the Laplace transform domain) on the interfacial crack faces. The Cagniard–de Hoop method of Laplace inversion is used to obtain the transient solution in time domain. Exact transient closed form solutions for stresses and stress intensity factors are obtained. Numerical results for the time history of stresses and stress intensity factors during the transient process are discussed in detail.  相似文献

The role of the tangential (friction) stresses developed at the disc-jaw interface during the standardized realization of the Brazilian disc test is quantified. Sinusoidal variation of both the radial pressure and the friction stresses is considered. The pressure is maximized at the symmetry axis of the load distribution while friction is maximized at the mid-point of the contact semi-arc. Both load distributions (radial and frictional) are exerted along the actual contact length as it is developed during the loading procedure. The stress field all over the disc due to friction stresses is determined in closed form using the complex potentials technique. The solution obtained is applied for two materials both of brittle nature and of different relative deformability compared to steel (i.e. the material of the jaw). The stress field due to friction is compared for both materials with that due to radial pressure, and then, the two solutions are superimposed in order to quantify the total stress field. It is concluded that as one approaches the loading platens, non-ignorable tensile stresses are developed that could lead the disc to premature failure far from the disc’s center. The magnitude of these stresses strongly depends among others on the relative deformability of the disc’s and jaw’s materials since the latter dictates the extent of the loading rim.  相似文献

通过对微裂纹屏蔽不同来源的分析及计算,发现在各向同性脆性材料中,残余应力释放引起的微裂纹对主裂尖产生最大屏蔽效应时该微裂纹的倾角与最大张应力的方向没有明显的对应关系.在Hutchinson[1]所指出的屏蔽效应的第二个来源中,还应计及微裂纹形成引起的远场应力在微裂纹处产生的应力场的释放从而导致应力场的再分布.  相似文献

深入研究了三相同心圆柱压电复合本构模型中的弧形绝缘界面裂纹问题。采用复势方法获得了该问题的级数形式的解答,并给出了应力、应变、电位移和电场强度等物理量在全场及界面上的分布,同时推导了裂尖处广义强度因子及裂面张开位移和裂面上电势差的表达式。具体计算表明该级数解答收敛迅速,同时显示出第三相混杂区的影响是不能忽略的。由于裂尖处应力奇异性为-1/2,则这种解答不会出现平面应变状态下界面裂纹裂尖处的振荡奇异性,从而不会产生违反物理实际的裂面相互嵌入现象,则该弹性解答也是建立了坚实的物理基础之上。  相似文献

The fracture problems near the interface crack tip for mode Ⅱ of double dissimilar orthotropic composite materials are studied. The mechanical models of interface crack for mode Ⅱ are given. By translating the governing equations into the generalized bi-harmonic equations,the stress functions containing two stress singularity exponents are derived with the help of a complex function method. Based on the boundary conditions,a system of non-homogeneous linear equations is found. Two real stress singularity exponents are determined be solving this system under appropriate conditions about himaterial engineering parameters. According to the uniqueness theorem of limit,both the formulae of stress intensity factors and theoretical solutions of stress field near the interface crack tip are derived. When the two orthotropic materials are the same,the stress singularity exponents,stress intensity factors and stresses for mode Ⅱ crack of the orthotropic single material are obtained.  相似文献
