We study a \mathbbZG \mathbb{Z}G -module A such that \mathbbZ \mathbb{Z} is the ring of integer numbers, the group G has an infinite sectional p-rank (or an infinite 0-rank), C G (A) = 1, A is not a minimax \mathbbZ \mathbb{Z} -module, and, for any proper subgroup H of infinite sectional p-rank (or infinite 0-rank, respectively), the quotient module A/C A (H) is a minimax \mathbbZ \mathbb{Z} -module. It is shown that if the group G is locally soluble, then it is soluble. Some properties of soluble groups of this kind are discussed.  相似文献

A group G is said to be capable if it is isomorphic to the central factor group H/Z(H) for some group H. Let G be a nonabelian group of order p 2 q for distinct primes p and q. In this paper, we compute the nonabelian tensor square of the group G. It is also shown that G is capable if and only if either Z(G) = 1 or p < q and Gab=\mathbbZp×\mathbbZp{G^{\rm ab}=\mathbb{Z}_{p}\times\mathbb{Z}_{p}} .  相似文献

Bent and almost-bent functions on \mathbbZp2{\mathbb{Z}_p^2} are studied in this paper. By calculating certain exponential sum and using a technique due to Hou (Finite Fields Appl 10:566–582, 2004), we obtain a degree bound for quasi-bent functions, and prove that almost-bent functions on \mathbbZp2{\mathbb{Z}_p^2} are equivalent to a degenerate quadratic form. From the viewpoint of relative difference sets, we also characterize bent functions on \mathbbZp2{\mathbb{Z}_p^2} in two classes of M{\mathcal{M}} ’s and PS{\mathcal{PS}} ’s, and show that the graph set corresponding to a bent function on \mathbbZp2{\mathbb{Z}_p^2} can be written as the sum of a graph set of M{\mathcal{M}} ’s type bent function and another group ring element. By using our characterization and some technique of permutation polynomial, we obtain the result: a bent function must be of M{\mathcal{M}} ’s type if its corresponding set contains more than (p − 3)/2 flats. A problem proposed by Ma and Pott (J Algebra 175:505–525, 1995) is therefore partially answered.  相似文献

We construct a family of Σ-uniform Abelian groups and a family of Σ-uniform rings. Conditions are specified that are necessary and sufficient for a universal Σ-function to exist in a hereditarily finite admissible set over structures in these families. It is proved that there is a set S of primes such that no universal Σ-function exists in hereditarily finite admissible sets \mathbbH\mathbbF(G) \mathbb{H}\mathbb{F}(G) and \mathbbH\mathbbF(K) \mathbb{H}\mathbb{F}(K) , where G = ⊕{Z p | pS} is a group, Z p is a cyclic group of order p, K = ⊕{F p | pS} is a ring, and F p is a prime field of characteristic p.  相似文献

Let ${\mathfrak{g}}Let \mathfrakg{\mathfrak{g}} be a finite dimensional simple Lie algebra over an algebraically closed field \mathbbK\mathbb{K} of characteristic 0. Let \mathfrakg\mathbbZ{\mathfrak{g}}_{{\mathbb{Z}}} be a Chevalley ℤ-form of \mathfrakg{\mathfrak{g}} and \mathfrakg\Bbbk=\mathfrakg\mathbbZ?\mathbbZ\Bbbk{\mathfrak{g}}_{\Bbbk}={\mathfrak{g}}_{{\mathbb{Z}}}\otimes _{{\mathbb{Z}}}\Bbbk, where \Bbbk\Bbbk is the algebraic closure of  \mathbbFp{\mathbb{F}}_{p}. Let G\BbbkG_{\Bbbk} be a simple, simply connected algebraic \Bbbk\Bbbk-group with \operatornameLie(G\Bbbk)=\mathfrakg\Bbbk\operatorname{Lie}(G_{\Bbbk})={\mathfrak{g}}_{\Bbbk}. In this paper, we apply recent results of Rudolf Tange on the fraction field of the centre of the universal enveloping algebra U(\mathfrakg\Bbbk)U({\mathfrak{g}}_{\Bbbk}) to show that if the Gelfand–Kirillov conjecture (from 1966) holds for \mathfrakg{\mathfrak{g}}, then for all p≫0 the field of rational functions \Bbbk (\mathfrakg\Bbbk)\Bbbk ({\mathfrak{g}}_{\Bbbk}) is purely transcendental over its subfield \Bbbk(\mathfrakg\Bbbk)G\Bbbk\Bbbk({\mathfrak{g}}_{\Bbbk})^{G_{\Bbbk}}. Very recently, it was proved by Colliot-Thélène, Kunyavskiĭ, Popov, and Reichstein that the field of rational functions \mathbbK(\mathfrakg){\mathbb{K}}({\mathfrak{g}}) is not purely transcendental over its subfield \mathbbK(\mathfrakg)\mathfrakg{\mathbb{K}}({\mathfrak{g}})^{\mathfrak{g}} if \mathfrakg{\mathfrak{g}} is of type B n , n≥3, D n , n≥4, E6, E7, E8 or F4. We prove a modular version of this result (valid for p≫0) and use it to show that, in characteristic 0, the Gelfand–Kirillov conjecture fails for the simple Lie algebras of the above types. In other words, if \mathfrakg{\mathfrak{g}} is of type B n , n≥3, D n , n≥4, E6, E7, E8 or F4, then the Lie field of \mathfrakg{\mathfrak{g}} is more complicated than expected.  相似文献

Let \mathbbZpm \mathbb{Z}_{p^m } be the ring of integers modulo p m , where p is a prime and m ⩾ 1. The general linear group GL n ( \mathbbZpm \mathbb{Z}_{p^m } ) acts naturally on the polynomial algebra A n := \mathbbZpm \mathbb{Z}_{p^m } [x 1, …, x n ]. Denote by AnGL2 (\mathbbZpm ) A_n^{GL_2 (\mathbb{Z}_{p^m } )} the corresponding ring of invariants. The purpose of the present paper is to calculate this invariant ring. Our results also generalize the classical Dickson’s theorem.  相似文献

Harmonic analysis on ℤ(p ) and the corresponding representation of the Heisenberg-Weyl group HW[ℤ(p ),ℤ(p ),ℤ(p )], is studied. It is shown that the HW[ℤ(p ),ℤ(p ),ℤ(p )] with a homomorphism between them, form an inverse system which has as inverse limit the profinite representation of the Heisenberg-Weyl group \mathfrak HW[\mathbbZp,\mathbbZp,\mathbbZp]\mathfrak {HW}[{\mathbb{Z}}_{p},{\mathbb{Z}}_{p},{\mathbb{Z}}_{p}]. Harmonic analysis on ℤ p is also studied. The corresponding representation of the Heisenberg-Weyl group HW[(ℚ p /ℤ p ),ℤ p ,(ℚ p /ℤ p )] is a totally disconnected and locally compact topological group.  相似文献

Let p be a prime and let G be a finite p-group. In a recent paper (Woodcock, J Pure Appl Algebra 210:193–199, 2007) we introduced a commutative graded ?-algebra R G . This classifies, for each commutative ring R with identity element, the G-invariant commutative R-algebra multiplications on the group algebra R[G] which are cocycles (in fact coboundaries) with respect to the standard “direct sum” multiplication and have the same identity element. We determine which singular del Pezzo surfaces are equivariant compactifications of \mathbbG\texta2 \mathbb{G}_{\text{a}}^2 , to assist with proofs of Manin’s conjecture for such surfaces. Additionally, we give an example of a singular quartic del Pezzo surface that is an equivariant compactification of \mathbbG\texta {\mathbb{G}_{\text{a}}} ⋊ \mathbbG\textm {\mathbb{G}_{\text{m}}} . We investigate the distribution of the sequence ξ α n  + ν, n = 0, 1, 2, . . . , modulo \mathbbZ[i],{\mathbb{Z}[i],} where i=?{-1}{i=\sqrt{-1}} and \mathbbZ[i]=\mathbbZ+i\mathbbZ{\mathbb{Z}[i]=\mathbb{Z}+i\mathbb{Z}} is the ring of Gaussian integers. For any z ? \mathbbC,{z\in \mathbb{C},} one may naturally call the quantity z modulo \mathbbZ[i]{\mathbb{Z}[i]} the fractional part of z and write {z} for this, in general, complex number lying in the unit square S:={z ? \mathbbC:0 £ \mathfrakR(z),\mathfrakJ(z) < 1 }{S:=\{z\in\mathbb{C}:0\leq \mathfrak{R}(z),\mathfrak{J}(z) <1 \}}. We first show that if α is a complex non-real number which is algebraic over \mathbbQ{\mathbb{Q}} and satisfies |α| > 1 then there are two limit points of the sequence {ξ α n  +ν}, n = 0, 1, 2, . . . , which are ‘far’ from each other (in terms of α only), except when α is an algebraic integer whose conjugates over \mathbbQ(i){\mathbb{Q}(i)} all lie in the unit disc |z| ≤  1 and x ? \mathbbQ(a,i).{\xi\in\mathbb{Q}(\alpha,i).} Then we prove a result in the opposite direction which implies that, for any fixed a ? \mathbbC{\alpha\in\mathbb{C}} of modulus greater than 1 and any sequence zn ? \mathbbC,n=0,1,2,...,{z_n\in\mathbb{C},n=0,1,2,\dots,} there exists x ? \mathbbC{\xi \in \mathbb{C}} such that the numbers ξ α n z n , n = 0, 1, 2, . . . , all lie ‘far’ from the lattice \mathbbZ[i]{\mathbb{Z}[i]}. In particular, they all can be covered by a union of small discs with centers at (1+i)/2+\mathbbZ[i]{(1+i)/2+\mathbb{Z}[i]} if |α| is large.  相似文献

A code C{{\mathcal C}} is \mathbbZ2\mathbbZ4{{\mathbb{Z}_2\mathbb{Z}_4}}-additive if the set of coordinates can be partitioned into two subsets X and Y such that the punctured code of C{{\mathcal C}} by deleting the coordinates outside X (respectively, Y) is a binary linear code (respectively, a quaternary linear code). The corresponding binary codes of \mathbbZ2\mathbbZ4{{\mathbb{Z}_2\mathbb{Z}_4}}-additive codes under an extended Gray map are called \mathbbZ2\mathbbZ4{{\mathbb{Z}_2\mathbb{Z}_4}}-linear codes. In this paper, the invariants for \mathbbZ2\mathbbZ4{{\mathbb{Z}_2\mathbb{Z}_4}}-linear codes, the rank and dimension of the kernel, are studied. Specifically, given the algebraic parameters of \mathbbZ2\mathbbZ4{{\mathbb{Z}_2\mathbb{Z}_4}}-linear codes, the possible values of these two invariants, giving lower and upper bounds, are established. For each possible rank r between these bounds, the construction of a \mathbbZ2\mathbbZ4{{\mathbb{Z}_2\mathbb{Z}_4}}-linear code with rank r is given. Equivalently, for each possible dimension of the kernel k, the construction of a \mathbbZ2\mathbbZ4{{\mathbb{Z}_2\mathbb{Z}_4}}-linear code with dimension of the kernel k is given. Finally, the bounds on the rank, once the kernel dimension is fixed, are established and the construction of a \mathbbZ2\mathbbZ4{{\mathbb{Z}_2\mathbb{Z}_4}}-linear code for each possible pair (r, k) is given.  相似文献

We prove a “unique crossed product decomposition” result for group measure space II1 factors L (X)⋊Γ arising from arbitrary free ergodic probability measure preserving (p.m.p.) actions of groups Γ in a fairly large family G\mathcal{G}, which contains all free products of a Kazhdan group and a non-trivial group, as well as certain amalgamated free products over an amenable subgroup. We deduce that if T n denotes the group of upper triangular matrices in PSL (n,ℤ), then any free, mixing p.m.p. action of G = \operatornamePSL(n,\mathbbZ)*Tn\operatornamePSL(n,\mathbbZ)\Gamma=\operatorname{PSL}(n,\mathbb{Z})*_{T_{n}}\operatorname{PSL}(n,\mathbb{Z}) is W-superrigid, i.e. any isomorphism between L (X)⋊Γ and an arbitrary group measure space factor L (Y)⋊Λ, comes from a conjugacy of the actions. We also prove that for many groups Γ in the family G\mathcal{G}, the Bernoulli actions of Γ are W-superrigid.  相似文献

The NTRU cryptosystem is constructed on the base ring \mathbbZ{\mathbb{Z}} . We give suitability conditions on rings to serve as alternate base rings. We present an example of an NTRU-like cryptosystem based on the Eisenstein integers \mathbbZ[z3]{\mathbb{Z}[\zeta_3]} , which has a denser lattice structure than \mathbbZ{\mathbb{Z}} for the same dimension, and which furthermore presents a more difficult lattice problem for lattice attacks, for the same level of decryption failure security.  相似文献

We define a rank variety for a module of a noncocommutative Hopf algebra A = L \rtimes GA = \Lambda \rtimes G where L = k[X1, ..., Xm]/(X1l, ..., Xml), G = (\mathbbZ/l\mathbbZ)m\Lambda = k[X_1, \dots, X_m]/(X_1^{\ell}, \dots, X_m^{\ell}), G = (\mathbb{Z}/\ell\mathbb{Z})^m and char k does not divide ℓ, in terms of certain subalgebras of A playing the role of “cyclic shifted subgroups”. We show that the rank variety of a finitely generated module M is homeomorphic to the support variety of M defined in terms of the action of the cohomology algebra of A. As an application we derive a theory of rank varieties for the algebra Λ. When ℓ=2, rank varieties for Λ-modules were constructed by Erdmann and Holloway using the representation theory of the Clifford algebra. We show that the rank varieties we obtain for Λ-modules coincide with those of Erdmann and Holloway.  相似文献

A group is said to be p-rigid, where p is a natural number, if it has a normal series of the form G = G 1 > G 2 > … > G p  > G p+1 = 1, whose quotients G i /G i+1 are Abelian and are torsion free when treated as \mathbbZ \mathbb{Z} [G/G i ]-modules. Examples of rigid groups are free soluble groups. We point out a recursive system of universal axioms distinguishing p-rigid groups in the class of p-soluble groups. It is proved that if F is a free p-soluble group, G is an arbitrary p-rigid group, and W is an iterated wreath product of p infinite cyclic groups, then ∀-theories for these groups satisfy the inclusions A(F) ê A(G) ê A(W) \mathcal{A}(F) \supseteq \mathcal{A}(G) \supseteq \mathcal{A}(W) . We construct an ∃-axiom distinguishing among p-rigid groups those that are universally equivalent to W. An arbitrary p-rigid group embeds in a divisible decomposed p-rigid group M = M1,…, α p ). The latter group factors into a semidirect product of Abelian groups A 1 A 2A p , in which case every quotient M i /M i+1 of its rigid series is isomorphic to A i and is a divisible module of rank αi over a ring \mathbbZ \mathbb{Z} [M/M i ]. We specify a recursive system of axioms distinguishing among M-groups those that are Muniversally equivalent to M. As a consequence, it is stated that the universal theory of M with constants in M is decidable. By contrast, the universal theory of W with constants is undecidable.  相似文献

We define, over k = \BbbFpk = {\Bbb{F}}_{p}, a splitting of the Frobenius morphism Fr : \textDist (G) ? \textDist (G)Fr : {\text{Dist}}\,(G) \rightarrow {\text{Dist}}\,(G) on the whole \textDist (G){\text{Dist}}\,(G), the algebra of distributions of the k-algebraic group G: = SL 2. Let ${\mathbb{G}}Let \mathbbG{\mathbb{G}} be a Carnot group of step r and m generators and homogeneous dimension Q. Let \mathbbFm,r{\mathbb{F}_{m,r}} denote the free Lie group of step r and m generators. Let also p:\mathbbFm,r?\mathbbG{\pi:\mathbb{F}_{m,r}\to\mathbb{G}} be a lifting map. We show that any horizontally convex function u on \mathbbG{\mathbb{G}} lifts to a horizontally convex function u°p{u\circ \pi} on \mathbbFm,r{\mathbb{F}_{m,r}} (with respect to a suitable horizontal frame on \mathbbFm,r{\mathbb{F}_{m,r}}). One of the main aims of the paper is to exhibit an example of a sub-Laplacian L=?j=1m Xj2{\mathcal{L}=\sum_{j=1}^m X_j^2} on a Carnot group of step two such that the relevant L{\mathcal{L}}-gauge function d (i.e., d 2-Q is the fundamental solution for L{\mathcal{L}}) is not h-convex with respect to the horizontal frame {X 1, . . . , X m }. This gives a negative answer to a question posed in Danielli et al. (Commun. Anal. Geom. 11 (2003), 263–341).  相似文献

Every compact smooth manifold M is diffeomorphic to the set X(\mathbbR){X(\mathbb{R})} of real points of a nonsingular projective real algebraic variety X, which is called an algebraic model of M. Each algebraic cycle of codimension k on the complex variety X\mathbbC=X×\mathbbR\mathbbC{X_{\mathbb{C}}=X\times_{\mathbb{R}}\mathbb{C}} determines a cohomology class in H2k(X(\mathbbR);\mathbbD){H^{2k}(X(\mathbb{R});\mathbb{D})} , where \mathbbD{\mathbb{D}} denotes \mathbbZ{\mathbb{Z}} or \mathbbQ{\mathbb{Q}} . We investigate the behavior of such cohomology classes as X runs through the class of algebraic models of M.  相似文献

Let p be a prime, and let G = \textS\textpg( \mathbbZ ) \Gamma = {\text{S}}{{\text{p}}_g}\left( \mathbb{Z} \right) be the Siegel modular group of genus g. This paper is concerned with p-adic families of zeta functions and L-functions of Siegel modular forms; the latter are described in terms of motivic L-functions attached to Sp g ; their analytic properties are given. Critical values for the spinor L-functions are discussed in relation to p-adic constructions. Rankin’s lemma of higher genus is established. A general conjecture on a lifting of modular forms from GSp2m × GSp2m to GSp4m (of genus g = 4 m) is formulated. Constructions of p-adic families of Siegel modular forms are given using Ikeda–Miyawaki constructions.  相似文献
