A detailed investigation of the iron(III)-cyanide and iron(III)-hydroxide systems has been made in NaClO(4) media at 25 degrees C, using combined UV-vis spectrophotometric and pH-potentiometric titrations. For the Fe(III)/OH- system, use of low total Fe(III) concentrations (< or =10 microM) and a wide pH range (0 < or = pH < or = 12.7) enabled detection of six mononuclear complexes, corresponding to the following equilibria: Fe3+(aq)+rH2O<=>Fe(OH)r(3-r)+(aq) + rH(+)(aq), where r = 1-6 with stability constants (log *beta 1r) of -2.66, -7.0, -12.5, -20.7, -30.8, and -43.4, respectively, at I = 1 M (NaClO(4)). It was also found to be possible to measure, for the first time, stability constants for most of the following equilibria: Fe3+(aq)+qCN-(aq)<=>Fe(CN)q(3-q)+(aq), despite a plethora of complicating factors. Values of log beta(1q) = 8.5, 15.8, 23.1, and 38.8 were obtained at I = 1.0 M (NaClO(4)) for q = 1-3 and 6, respectively. No reliable evidence could be obtained for the intermediate (q = 4 or 5) complexes. Similar results were obtained for both systems at I = 0.5 M(NaClO(4)). Spectra for the individual mononuclear complexes detected for Fe(III) with OH- and CN- are reported. Attempted measurements on the Fe(II)/CN- system were unsuccessful, but values of log beta(16)(Fe(CN)(6)(4-)) = 31.8 and log beta(15)(Fe(CN)(5)(3-) approximately 24 were estimated from well established electrode potential and other data.  相似文献

Stopped-flow spectrophotometric measurements identify and determine equilibrium data for thiourea (tu) complexes of copper(II) formed in aqueous solution. In excess Cu(II), the complex ion [Cu(tu)](2+) has a stability constant beta(1) = 2.3 +/- 0.1 M(-)(1) and molar absorptivity at 340 nm of epsilon(1) = (4.0 +/- 0.2) x 10(3) M(-)(1) cm(-)(1) at 25.0 degrees C, 2.48 mM HClO(4), and &mgr; = 464 mM (NaClO(4)). The fast reduction of Cu(II) by excess tu obeys the rate law -d[Cu(II)]/dt = k'[Cu(II)](2)[tu](7) with a value for the ninth-order rate constant k' = (1.60 +/- 0.18) x 10(14) M(-)(8) s(-)(1), which derives from a rate-determining step involving the bimolecular decomposition of two complexed Cu(II) species. Copper(II) catalyzes the reduction of hexachloroiridate(IV) by tu according to the rate law -d[IrCl(6)(2)(-)]/dt = (k(2,unc)[tu](2) + k(1,cat) [tu](5)[Cu(II)])[IrCl(6)(2)(-)]. Least-squares analysis yields values of k(2,unc) and k(1,cat) equaling 385 +/- 4 M(-)(2) s(-)(1) and (3.7 +/- 0.1) x 10(13) M(-)(6) s(-)(1), respectively, at &mgr; = 115 mM (NaClO(4)). The corresponding mechanism has a rate-determining step that involves the oxidation of [Cu(II)(tu)(5)](2+) by [IrCl(6)](2)(-) rather than the bimolecular reaction of two cupric-tu complexes.  相似文献

The formation of ternary UO2(2+)-(OH-)-SO4(2-) complexes has been studied at 25 degrees C in 3 M NaClO4 ionic medium by measurements with a glass electrode. The solutions had uranium concentrations between 0.3 and 30 mM, sulfate between 20 and 200 mM, and 1.66 < or = [SO4(2-)]/[U(VI)] < or = 300. The hydrogen ion concentration ranged from 10(-3) M to incipient precipitation of basic sulfates. This occurred, depending on the metal concentration, at [H+] between 10(-4) and 10(-5.3) M. In the interpretation of the data the stabilities of binary complexes were assumed from independent sources. The data could be explained with the mixed complexes and equilibria (beta(pqr)(3sigma) refers to pUO2(2+) + qH2O + rSO4(2-) <==> (UO2)p(OH)q(SO4)r(2p-q-2r) + qH+): logbeta222 = -2.94 +/- 0.03, logbeta341 = -9.82 +/- 0.06, logbeta211 = -0.30 +/- 0.09, logbeta212 = 1.09 +/- 0.09, logbeta351 = -15.04 +/- 0.09 and logbeta462 = -14.40 +/- 0.06. The fit could be improved by including UO2OH+ with logbeta110 = -5.1 +/- 0.1. The identity of the minor species remains, however, an open question.  相似文献

Copper(II) complexes of three bis(tacn) ligands, [Cu(2)(T(2)-o-X)Cl(4)] (1), [Cu(2)(T(2)-m-X)(H(2)O)(4)](ClO(4))(4).H(2)O.NaClO(4) (2), and [Cu(2)(T(2)-p-X)Cl(4)] (3), were prepared by reacting a Cu(II) salt and L.6HCl (2:1 ratio) in neutral aqueous solution [T(2)-o-X = 1,2-bis(1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-ylmethyl)benzene; T(2)-m-X = 1,3-bis(1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-ylmethyl)benzene; T(2)-p-X = 1,4-bis(1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-ylmethyl)benzene]. Crystals of [Cu(2)(T(2)-m-X)(NPP)(mu-OH)](ClO(4)).H(2)O (4) formed at pH = 7.4 in a solution containing 2 and disodium 4-nitrophenyl phosphate (Na(2)NPP). The binuclear complexes [Cu(2)(T(2)-o-XAc(2))(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2).4H(2)O (5) and [Cu(2)(T(2)-m-XAc(2))(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2).4H(2)O (6) were obtained on addition of Cu(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O to aqueous solutions of the bis(tetradentate) ligands T(2)-o-XAc(2) (1,2-bis((4-(carboxymethyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-yl)methyl)benzene and T(2)-m-XAc(2) (1,3-bis((4-(carboxymethyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-yl)methyl)benzene), respectively. In the binuclear complex, 3, three N donors from one macrocycle and two chlorides occupy the distorted square pyramidal Cu(II) coordination sphere. The complex features a long Cu...Cu separation (11.81 A) and intermolecular interactions that give rise to weak intermolecular antiferromagnetic coupling between Cu(II) centers. Complex 4 contains binuclear cations with a single hydroxo and p-nitrophenyl phosphate bridging two Cu(II) centers (Cu...Cu = 3.565(2) A). Magnetic susceptibility studies indicated the presence of strong antiferromagnetic interactions between the metal centers (J = -275 cm(-1)). Measurements of the rate of BNPP (bis(p-nitrophenyl) phosphate) hydrolysis by a number of these metal complexes revealed the greatest rate of cleavage for [Cu(2)(T(2)-o-X)(OH(2))(4)](4+) (k = 5 x 10(-6) s(-1) at pH = 7.4 and T = 50 degrees C). Notably, the mononuclear [Cu(Me(3)tacn)(OH(2))(2)](2+) complex induces a much faster rate of cleavage (k = 6 x 10(-5) s(-1) under the same conditions).  相似文献

1 INTRODUCTION 8-Quinolinolate is a very useful ligand and used to synthesize many complexes with special physical properties. For example, the complex tris(8-quinoli- nolate)aluminum(III) displays distinguished physical property in the area of electroluminescence ma- terials[1]. Based on tris(8-quinolinolate)aluminum(III), high-luminance low-voltage driven devices have been made, which opens the route to design low-cost large area displays and illuminators. The synthesis and characterization of the complexes of Cu(I), Ag(I), Cu(II), and Co(II) ions with 1,2,5-selenadiazolopyridine (psd) is reported. The following complexes have been prepared: [Cu(2)(psd)(3)(CH(3)CN)(2)](2+)2(PF(6)(-)); [(CuCl)(2)(psd)(3)]; [Cu(2)(psd)(6)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-); [Ag(2)(psd)(2)](2+)2(NO(3))(-); [Ag(2)(psd)(2)](2+)2(CF(3)COO)(-); [Cu(psd)(2)(H(2)O)(3)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-)·(psd)(2); [Cu(psd)(4)(H(2)O)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-)·(CHCl(3)); [Cu(psd)(2)(H(2)O)(3)](2+)2(NO(3))(-)·(H(2)O)·(psd)(2), and [Co(psd)(2)(H(2)O)(4)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-)·(psd)(2). The electronic structure of ligand psd, in particular the bond order of Se-N bonds, has been probed by X-ray diffraction, (77)Se NMR, and computational studies. A detailed analysis of the crystal structures of the ligand and the complexes revealed interesting supramolecular assembly. The assembly was further facilitated by the presence of neutral ligands for some complexes (Cu(II) and Co(II)). The molecular structure of the ligand showed that it was present as a dimer in the solid state where the monomers were linked by strong secondary bonding Se···N interactions. The crystal structures of Cu(I) and Ag(I) complexes revealed the dinuclear nature with characteristic metallophilic interactions [M···M] (M = Cu, Ag), while the Cu(II) and Co(II) complexes were mononuclear. The presence of M···M interactions has been further probed by Atoms in Molecules (AIM) calculations. The paramagnetic Cu(II) and Co(II) complexes have been characterized by UV-vis, ESI spectroscopy, and room temperature magnetic measurements.  相似文献

This work describes a study of Ru(II) and Os(II) polypyridyl complexes of the symmetrical, fused-aromatic bridging ligand dibenzoeilatin (1). The synthesis, purification, and structural characterization by NMR of the mononuclear complexes [Ru(bpy)(2)(dbneil)](2+) (2), [Ru(tmbpy)(2)(dbneil)](2+) (3), and [Os(bpy)(2)(dbneil)](2+) (4), the homodinuclear complexes [[Ru(bpy)(2)](2)[micro-dbneil]](4+) (5), [[Ru(tmbpy)(2)](2)[micro-dbneil]](4+) (6), and [[Os(bpy)(2)](2)[micro-dbneil]](4+) (7), and the heterodinuclear complex [[Ru(bpy)(2)][micro-dbneil][Os(bpy)(2)]](4+) (8) are described, along with the crystal structures of 4, 6, and 7. Absorption spectra of the mononuclear complexes feature a low-lying MLCT band around 600 nm. The coordination of a second metal fragment results in a dramatic red shift of the MLCT band to beyond 700 nm. Cyclic and square wave voltammograms of the mononuclear complexes exhibit one reversible metal-based oxidation, as well as several ligand-based reduction waves. The first two reductions, attributed to reduction of the dibenzoeilatin ligand, are substantially anodically shifted compared to [M(bpy)(3)](2+) (M = Ru, Os), consistent with the low-lying pi orbital of dibenzoeilatin. The dinuclear complexes exhibit two reversible, well-resolved, metal-centered oxidation waves, despite the chemical equivalence of the two metal centers, indicating a significant metal-metal interaction mediated by the conjugated dibenzoeilatin ligand. Luminescence spectra, quantum yield, and lifetime measurements at room temperature in argon-purged acetonitrile have shown that the complexes exhibit (3)MLCT emission, which occurs in the IR-region between 950 and 1300 nm. The heterodinuclear complex 8 exhibits luminescence only from the Ru-based fragment, the intensity of which is less than 1% of that observed in the corresponding homodinuclear complex 5; no emission from the Os-based unit is observed, and an intramolecular quenching constant of k(q) > or = 3 x10(9) s(-)(1) is evaluated. The nature of the quenching process is briefly discussed.  相似文献

Treatment of L(2)MCl(2) (M = Pt, Pd; L(2) = Ph(2)PCMe(2)PPh(2) (dppip), Ph(2)PNMePPh(2) (dppma)) with AgX (X = OTf, BF(4), NO(3)) in wet CH(2)Cl(2) yields the dinuclear dihydroxo complexes [L(2)M(mu-OH)](2)(X)(2), the mononuclear aqua complexes [L(2)M(OH(2))(2)](X)(2), the mononuclear anion complexes L(2)MX(2), or mixtures of complexes. Addition of aromatic amines to these complexes or mixtures gives the dinuclear diamido complexes [L(2)Pt(mu-NHAr)](2)(BF(4))(2), the mononuclear amine complexes [L(2)M(NH(2)Ar)(2)](X)(2), or the dinuclear amido-hydroxo complex [Pt(2)(mu-OH)(mu-NHAr)(dppip)(2)](BF(4))(2). Deprotonation of the Pd and Pt amine or diamido complexes with M'N(SiMe(3))(2) (M' = Li, Na, K) gives the diimido complexes [L(2)M(mu-NAr)](2) associated with M' salts. Structural studies of the Li derivatives indicate association through coordination of the imido nitrogen atoms to Li(+). Deprotonation of the amido-hydroxo complex gives the imido-oxo complex [Pt(2)(mu-O)(mu-NAr)(dppip)(2)].LiBF(4).LiN(SiMe(3))(2), and deprotonation of the dppip Pt hydroxo complex gives the dioxo complex [Pt(mu-O)(dppip)](2).LiN(SiMe(3))(2).2LiBF(4).  相似文献

The reaction of [M(CN)(6)](3-) (M = Cr(3+), Mn(3+), Fe(3+), Co(3+)) and [M(CN)(8)](4-/3-) (M = Mo(4+/5+), W(4+/5+)) with the trinuclear copper(II) complex of 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyltris[3-(1,3,5,8,12-pentaazacyclotetradecane)] ([Cu(3)(L)](6+)) leads to partially encapsulated cyanometalates. With hexacyanometalate(III) complexes, [Cu(3)(L)](6+) forms the isostructural host-guest complexes [[[Cu(3)(L)(OH(2))(2)][M(CN)(6)](2)][M(CN)(6)]][M(CN)(6)]30 H(2)O with one bridging, two partially encapsulated, and one isolated [M(CN)(6)](3-) unit. The octacyanometalates of Mo(4+/5+) and W(4+/5+) are encapsulated by two tris-macrocyclic host units. Due to the stability of the +IV oxidation state of Mo and W, only assemblies with [M(CN)(8)](4-) were obtained. The Mo(4+) and W(4+) complexes were crystallized in two different structural forms: [[Cu(3)(L)(OH(2))](2)[Mo(CN)(8)]](NO(3))(8)15 H(2)O with a structural motif that involves isolated spherical [[Cu(3)(L)(OH(2))](2)[M(CN)(8)]](8+) ions and a "string-of-pearls" type of structure [[[Cu(3)(L)](2)[M(CN)(8)]][M(CN)(8)]](NO(3))(4) 20 H(2)O, with [M(CN)(8)](4-) ions that bridge the encapsulated octacyanometalates in a two-dimensional network. The magnetic exchange coupling between the various paramagnetic centers is characterized by temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility and field-dependent magnetization data. Exchange between the CuCu pairs in the [Cu(3)(L)](6+) "ligand" is weakly antiferromagnetic. Ferromagnetic interactions are observed in the cyanometalate assemblies with Cr(3+), exchange coupling of Mn(3+) and Fe(3+) is very small, and the octacoordinate Mo(4+) and W(4+) systems have a closed-shell ground state.  相似文献

The hydrolysis of lead(II) has been investigated by potentiometric titrations (ionic medium 1.0M NaClO(4) and 1.0M KNO(3)) and enthalpimetric titrations (ionic medium 1.0M NaClO(4)) at 25 degrees . The reaction model that gave the best fit to the data for 1.0M NaClO(4) comprised the following five ions: Pb(OH)(+), Pb(3)(OH)(2+)(4), Pb(3)(OH)(+)(5), Pb(4)(OH)(4+)(4) and Pb(6)(OH)(4+)(8). The formation constants, and enthalpy changes (kJ/mol) for these species, defined according to equation (1), have the values log beta(11) = -7.8, DeltaH(0)(11) = 24; log beta(34) = -22.69, DeltaH(0)(34) = 112; log beta(35) = -30.8, DeltaH(0)(35) = 146; log beta(44) = -19.58, DeltaH(0)(44) = 86; log beta(68) = -42.43, DeltaH(0)(68) = 215. Equilibrium constants determined in nitrate medium show good agreement with those pertaining to perchlorate medium if complexation of lead(II) with nitrate is taken into account.  相似文献

The iron(III) complexes [Fe(2)(HPTB)(mu-OH)(NO(3))(2)](NO(3))(2).CH(3)OH.2H(2)O (1), [Fe(2)(HPTB)(mu-OCH(3))(NO(3))(2)](NO(3))(2).4.5CH(3)OH (2), [Fe(2)(HPTB)(mu-OH)(OBz)(2)](ClO(4))(2).4.5H(2)O (3), [Fe(2)(N-EtOH-HPTB)(mu-OH)(NO(3))(2)](ClO(4))(NO(3)).3CH(3)OH.1.5H(2)O (4), [Fe(2)(5,6-Me(2)-HPTB)(mu-OH)(NO(3))(2)](ClO(4))(NO(3)).3.5CH(3)OH.C(2)H(5)OC(2)H(5).0.5H(2)O (5), and [Fe(4)(HPTB)(2)(mu-F)(2)(OH)(4)](ClO(4))(4).CH(3)CN.C(2)H(5)OC(2)H(5).H(2)O (6) were synthesized (HPTB = N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)-2-hydroxo-1,3-diaminopropane, N-EtOH-HPTB = N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(N' '-(2-hydroxoethyl)-2-benzimidazolylmethyl)-2-hydroxo-1,3-diaminopropane, 5,6-Me(2)-HPTB = N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(5,6-dimethyl-2-benzimidazolylmethyl)-2-hydroxo-1,3-diaminopropane). The molecular structures of 2-6 were established by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Iron(II) complexes with ligands similar to the dinucleating ligands described herein have been used previously as model compounds for the dioxygen uptake at the active sites of non-heme iron enzymes. The same metastable (mu-peroxo)diiron(III) adducts were observed during these studies. They can be prepared by adding hydrogen peroxide to the iron(III) compounds 1-6. Using stopped-flow techniques these reactions were kinetically investigated in different solvents and a mechanism was postulated.  相似文献

A series of cyano-bridged Ni(II)-Cr(I/III) complexes have been synthesized by the reactions of hexaazacyclic Ni(II) complexes with [Cr(CN)(6)](3-) or [Cr(CN)(5)(NO)](3-). Using the tetravalent Ni(II) complex [Ni(H(2)L(2))](4+) (L(2) = 3,10-bis(2-aminoethyl)-1,3,6,8,10,12-hexaazacyclotetradecane), one-dimensional chainlike complexes were produced and subject to magnetic studies, affording the intermetallic magnetic exchange constants of J(1) = +0.23 cm(-1) and J(2) = +8.4 cm(-1) for the complex [Ni(H(2)L(2))][Cr(CN)(5)(NO)]ClO(4).5H(2)O (1) and of J = +5.9 cm(-1) for the complex [Ni(H(2)L(2))](4)[Cr(CN)(6)](5)OH.15H(2)O (2). X-ray diffraction analysis shows that complex 1 has a zigzag chain structure, whereas complex 2 consists of a branched chain structure. Complex 2 exhibits antiferromagnetic ordering at 8.0 K (T(N)). When an octahedral Ni(II) complex cis-[NiL(3)(en)](2+) (en = 1,2-ethylenediamine, L(3) = 3,10-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-1,3,5,8,10,12-hexaazacyclotetradecane) was used for the synthesis, the common 2D honeycomb-layered complex [NiL(3)](3)[Cr(CN)(5)(NO)](2).8H(2)O (3) was obtained, which has a T(N) value of 3.3 K. Below T(N), a metamagnetic behavior was observed in complexes 2 and 3.  相似文献

We have prepared and characterized a new phenol-based compartmental ligand (H(2)L) incorporating 1,4,7-triazacyclononane ([9]aneN(3)), and we have investigated its coordination behavior with Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II). The protonation constants of the ligand and the thermodynamic stabilities of the 1:1 and 2:1 (metal/ligand) complexes with these metal ions have been investigated by means of potentiometric measurements in aqueous solutions. The mononuclear [M(L)] complexes show remarkably high stability suggesting that, along with the large number of nitrogen donors available for metal binding, deprotonated phenolic functions are also involved in binding the metal ion. The mononuclear complexes [M(L)] show a marked tendency to add a second metal ion to afford binuclear species. The formation of complexes [M(2)(H(2)L)](4+) occurs at neutral or slightly acidic pH and is generally followed by metal-assisted deprotonation of the phenolic groups to give [M(2)(HL)](3+) and [M(2)(L)](2+) in weakly basic solutions. The complexation properties of H(2)L have also been investigated in the solid state. Crystals suitable for X-ray structural analysis were obtained for the binuclear complexes [Cu(2)(L)](BF(4))(2).(1)/(2)MeCN (1), [Zn(2)(HL)](ClO(4))(3).(1)/(2)MeCN (2), and [Pb(2)(L)](ClO(4))(2).2MeCN (4). In 1 and 2, the phenolate O-donors do not bridge the two metal centers, which are, therefore, segregated each within an N(5)O-donor compartment. However, in the case of the binuclear complex [Pb(2)(L)](ClO(4))(2).2MeCN (4), the two Pb(II) centers are bridged by the phenolate oxygen atoms with each metal ion sited within an N(5)O(2)-donor compartment of L(2)(-), with a Pb.Pb distance of 3.9427(5) A.  相似文献

The ammonium salt of [Fe(4)O(OH)(hpdta)(2)(H(2)O)(4)](-) is soluble and makes a monospecific solution of [Fe(4)(OH)(2)(hpdta)(2)(H(2)O)(4)](0)(aq) in acidic solutions (hpdta = 2-hydroxypropane-1,3-diamino-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetate). This tetramer is a diprotic acid with pK(a)(1) estimated at 5.7 ± 0.2 and pK(a)(2) = 8.8(5) ± 0.2. In the pH region below pK(a)(1), the molecule is stable in solution and (17)O NMR line widths can be interpreted using the Swift-Connick equations to acquire rates of ligand substitution at the four isolated bound water sites. Averaging five measurements at pH < 5, where contribution from the less-reactive conjugate base are minimal, we estimate: k(ex)(298) = 8.1 (±2.6) × 10(5) s(-1), ΔH(++) = 46 (±4.6) kJ mol(-1), ΔS(++) = 22 (±18) J mol(-1) K(-1), and ΔV(++) = +1.85 (±0.2) cm(3) mol(-1) for waters bound to the fully protonated, neutral molecule. Regressing the experimental rate coefficients versus 1/[H(+)] to account for the small pH variation in rate yields a similar value of k(ex)(298) = 8.3 (±0.8) × 10(5) s(-1). These rates are ~10(4) times faster than those of the [Fe(OH(2))(6)](3+) ion (k(ex)(298) = 1.6 × 10(2) s(-1)) but are about an order of magnitude slower than other studied aminocarboxylate complexes, although these complexes have seven-coordinated Fe(III), not six as in the [Fe(4)(OH)(2)(hpdta)(2)(H(2)O)(4)](0)(aq) molecule. As pH approaches pK(a1), the rates decrease and a compensatory relation is evident between the experimental ΔH(++) and ΔS(++) values. Such variation cannot be caused by enthalpy from the deprotonation reaction and is not well understood. A correlation between bond lengths and the logarithm of k(ex)(298) is geochemically important because it could be used to estimate rate coefficients for geochemical materials for which only DFT calculations are possible. This molecule is the only neutral, oxo-bridged Fe(III) multimer for which rate data are available.  相似文献

Reactions of Pt(diimine)(tdt) (tdt =3,4-toluenedithiolate) with [M(2)(dppm)(2)(MeCN)(2)](2+) (M = Cu(I) or Ag(I), dppm = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane) gave heterotrinuclear complexes [PtCu(2)(tdt)(mu-SH)(dppm)(3)](ClO(4)) (1) and [PtCu(2)(diimine)(2)(tdt)(dppm)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (diimine = 2,2'-bpyridine (bpy) 2; 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (dmbpy) 3; phenanthroline (phen) 4, 5-bromophenanthroline (Brphen) 5) for M = Cu(I), but [PtAg(2)(tdt)(mu-SH)(dppm)(3)](SbF(6)) (6) and [PtAg(2)(diimine)(tdt)(dppm)(2)](SbF(6))(2) (diimine = bpy 7; dmbpy 8; phen 9; Brphen 10) for M = Ag(I). While the complexes [PtAg(2)(diimine)(tdt)(dppm)(2)](SbF(6))(2) (7-10) result from linkage of Pt(diimine)(tdt) and [M(2)(dppm)(2)(MeCN)(2)](2+) by tdt sulfur donors, formation of [PtCu(2)(diimine)(2)(tdt)(dppm)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (2-5) is related to rupture of metal-ligand bonds in the metal components and recombination between the ligands and the metal atoms by self-assembly. The formation of 1 and 6 is involved not only in dissociation and recombination of the metal components, but also in disruption of C-S bonds in the dithiolate (tdt). The dithiolate tdt adopts a chelating and bridging coordination mode in anti conformation for [PtCu(2)(diimine)(2)(tdt)(dppm)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (2-5), whereas there is the syn conformation for other complexes. Compounds 1 and 6 represent sparse examples of mu-SH-bridged heterotrinuclear Pt(II)M(I)(2) complexes, in which Pt(II)-M(I) centers are bridged by dppm and sulfur donors of tdt, whereas M(I)-M(I) (M = Cu for 1; Ag for 6) centers are linked by dppm and the mu-SH donor. The (31)P NMR spectra show typical platinum satellites (J(Pt-P) = 1450-1570 Hz) for 1-6 and Ag-P coupling for Pt(II)-Ag(I) (J(Ag-P) = 350-450 Hz) complexes 6-10. All of the complexes show intense emission in the solid state and in frozen glasses at 77 K. The complexes [PtAg(2)(diimine)(tdt)(dppm)(2)](SbF(6))(2) (7-10) also afford emission in fluid acetonitrile solutions at room temperature. Solid-state emission lifetimes at room temperature are in the microsecond range. It is revealed that emission energies of the trinuclear heterometallic complexes [PtAg(2)(diimine)(tdt)(dppm)(2)](SbF(6))(2) (7-10) exhibit a remarkable blue shift (0.10-0.35 eV) relative to those of the precursor compounds Pt(diimine)(tdt). The tetradentate ligands 1,8-bis(pyrid-2-yl)-3,6-dithiaoctane (pdto) and 1,8-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)-3,6-dithiaoctane (bbdo) form the complexes [Ru(pdto)(mu-Cl)](2)(ClO(4))(2) 1 and [Ru(bbdo)(mu-Cl)](2)(ClO(4))(2) 2 respectively. The new di-mu-chloro dimers 1 and 2 undergo facile symmetrical bridge cleavage reactions with the diimine ligands 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) and dipyridylamine (dpa) to form the six-coordinate complexes [Ru(pdto)(bpy)](ClO(4))(2) 3, [Ru(bbdo)(bpy)](ClO(4))(2) 4, [Ru(pdto)(dpa)](ClO(4))(2) 5 and [Ru(bbdo)(dpa)](ClO(4))(2) 6 and with the triimine ligand 2,2':6,2'-terpyridine (terpy) to form the unusual seven-coordinate complexes [Ru(pdto)(terpy)](ClO(4))(2) 7 and [Ru(bbdo)(terpy)](ClO(4))(2) 8. In 1 the dimeric cation [Ru(pdto)(mu-Cl)](2)(2+) is made up of two approximately octahedrally coordinated Ru(II) centers bridged by two chloride ions, which constitute a common edge between the two Ru(II) octahedra. Each ruthenium is coordinated also to two pyridine nitrogen and two thioether sulfur atoms of the tetradentate ligand. The ligand pdto is folded around Ru(II) as a result of the cis-dichloro coordination, which corresponds to a "cis-alpha" configuration [DeltaDelta/LambdaLambda(rac) diastereoisomer] supporting the possibility of some attractive pi-stacking interactions between the parallel py rings at each ruthenium atom. The ruthenium atom in the complex cations 3a and 4 exhibit a distorted octahedral coordination geometry composed of two nitrogen atoms of the bpy and the two thioether sulfur and two py/bzim nitrogen atoms of the pdto/bbdo ligand, which is actually folded around Ru(II) to give a "cis-alpha" isomer. The molecule of complex 5 contains a six-coordinated ruthenium atom chelated by pdto and dpa ligands in the expected distorted octahedral fashion. The (1)H and (13)C NMR spectral data of the complexes throw light on the nature of metal-ligand bonding and the conformations of the chelate rings, which indicates that the dithioether ligands maintain their tendency to fold themselves even in solution. The bis-mu-chloro dimers 1 and 2 show a spin-allowed but Laporte-forbidden t(2g)(6)((1)A(1g))--> t(2g)(5) e(g)(1)((1)T(1g), (1)T(2g)) d-d transition. They also display an intense Ru(II) dpi--> py/bzim (pi*) metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) transition. The mononuclear complexes 3-8 exhibit dpi-->pi* MLCT transitions in the range 340-450 nm. The binuclear complexes 1 and 2 exhibit a ligand field ((3)MC) luminescence even at room temperature, whereas the mononuclear complexes 3 and 4 show a ligand based radical anion ((3)MLCT) luminescence. The binuclear complexes 1 and 2 undergo two successive oxidation processes corresponding to successive Ru(II)/Ru(III) couples, affording a stable mixed-valence Ru(II)Ru(III) state (K(c): 1, 3.97 x 10(6); 2, 1.10 x 10(6)). The mononuclear complexes 3-7 exhibit only one while 8 shows two quasi-reversible metal-based oxidative processes. The coordinated 'soft' thioether raises the redox potentials significantly by stabilising the 'soft' Ru(II) oxidation state. One or two ligand-based reduction processes were also observed for the mononuclear complexes.  相似文献

A family of homo-valent [Co(II)(7)(OH)(6)(L(1))(6)](NO(3))(2) (1), [(MeOH)(2) is a subset of Co(II)(7)(OH)(6)(L(1))(6)](NO(3))(2) (2) (where L(1)H = 2-iminomethyl-6-methoxyphenol) and hetero-valent [(NO(3))(2) is a subset of Co(III)Co(II)(6)(OH)(6)(L(2))(6)](NO(3))·3MeCN (4) (where L(2)H = 2-iminophenyl-6-methoxyphenol) complexes possess metallic skeletons describing planar hexagonal discs. Their organic exteriors form double-bowl shaped topologies, and coupled with their 3-D connectivity, this results in the formation of molecular cavities in the solid state. These confined spaces are shown to behave as host units in the solid state for guests including solvent molecules and charge balancing counter anions. Magnetic susceptibility measurements on 2 and 4 reveal weak ferro- and ferrimagnetism, respectively. The utilisation of other Co(II) salt precursors gives rise to entirely different species including the mononuclear and trinuclear complexes [Co(II)(L(2))(2)] (5) and [Co(III)(2)Na(I)(1)(L(3))(6)](BF(4)) (6) (where L(3)H = 2-iminomethyl-4-bromo-6-methoxyphenol).  相似文献

We studied the efficacy of the tris-glycinatocobaltate(II) complex ([Co(gly)(3)](-)) as a shift reagent (SR) for chloride by (35)Cl NMR spectroscopy and compared to that of Co(2+)((aq)). Due to the relatively low thermodynamic stability of [Co(gly)(3)](-), a 1:3 Co(II)/gly stoichiometric solution at physiological pH is approximately a 2:1 mixture of [Co(gly)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] and [Co(gly)(H(2)O)(4)](+). This SR was found to be stable up to higher pH values than Co(2+)((aq)), better preventing Co(OH)(2) formation at alkaline pH. No significant differences in the (35)Cl(-) NMR chemical shift induced by Co(II)/gly or Co(2+)((aq)) were observed in the presence of physiological concentrations of either Ca(2+) or Mg(2+), or of either Na(+) or K(+). Although Co(2+)((aq)) was almost twice as effective as Co(II)/gly in shifting the (35)Cl(-) NMR resonance at the same high rho ([SR]/[Cl(-)]) value and low ionic strength, Co(2+)((aq)) showed a significant decrease (p < 0.05) in the (35)Cl(-) chemical shift at higher ionic strength. Line widths at half-height were significantly (p < 0.05) less for Co(II)/gly than for Co(2+)((aq)) at rho values in the range 0.066-0.40. Intracellular chloride was clearly detectable by (35)Cl NMR spectroscopy in human skin fibroblast cells suspended in medium containing 40 mM Co(II)/gly SR. We determined that, although Co(2+)((aq)) provides a larger shift than Co(II)/gly at the same rho value, there are significant advantages for using Co(II)/gly, such as pH stability, ionic strength independent chemical shifts, narrow (35)Cl(-) NMR resonances, and reduced cellular toxicity, as a SR in biological systems.  相似文献

The reaction of 1:1 stoichiometries (1:1.5 for the nitrate/tetraethylene glycol (EO4) and pentaethylene glycol (EO5) complexes) of PbX(2) (X = NO(3), Br) with five- to eight-donor poly(ethylene glycols) (PEGs) in 3:1 CH(3)CN/CH(3)OH (CH(3)CN only for the nitrate/EO5 complex) followed by solvent evaporation resulted in six crystalline materials upon which X-ray structural analyses were carried out: [Pb(NO(3))(2)(EO4)](n)(), [Pb(NO(3))(2)(EO5)], [Pb(NO(3))(2)(EO6)], [PbBr(EO5)(&mgr;-Br)PbBr(2)].H(2)O, [PbBr(NCMe)(EO6)](2)[PbBr(2)(EO6)][PbBr(3)](2), and [PbBr(EO7)][PbBr(3)]. The nitrates crystallize as tight ion pairs with the PEG ligands coordinating in an equatorial plane around the Pb(2+) ions. Because EO4 has only five oxygen donors, this complex exhibits steric unsaturation which is overcome by a monodentate interaction with a third nitrate anion that is also coordinated to a neighboring Pb(2+) ion. The six donors of EO5 coordinate in an equatorial plane resulting in a 10-coordinate complex with trans, twisted, bidentate nitrate anions. The seven-donor hexaethylene glycol (EO6) only uses six of its oxygen donors to coordinate Pb(2+). Lead(II) bromide complexes with PEGs tend to crystallize as PEG complexed cations with polymeric lead(II) bromide anions. In the EO5 complex, bromide anions in the polymer also coordinate to the PEG-wrapped Pb(2+) cations. The hexa- and heptaethylene glycol (EO6 and EO7, respectively) complexes contain discreet ions. In these halide complexes, EO7 is the only PEG to expand the Pb(2+) coordination number from eight to nine.
