One-dimensional chiral copper(II) and manganese(II) coordination polymers with single asymmetric end-to-end (EE) azide bridges, [Cu(R-L)2(N3)]n(ClO4)n (1), [Cu(S-L)2 (N3)]n(ClO4)n (2), [Mn(R-L)2(N3)]n(ClO4)n (3), and [Mn(S-L)2(N3)]n(ClO4)n (4) (R-L or S-L = R- or S-pyridine-2-carbaldehyde-imine), have been synthesized, using azide ions as bridging groups and chiral Schiff bases as auxiliary ligands, and characterized. The crystal structure determination of complexes 1 and 2 reveals the formation of one-dimensional chiral chains, in which the central Cu(II) ion is six-coordinate in the form of an elongated octahedron. Complex 3 consists of chiral helical polymeric chains, in which the central Mn(II) has a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. They all crystallize in the chiral space group P2(1). Complexes 1 and 2 are rare examples that exhibit ferromagnetic interaction between copper(II) ions through the single end-to-end azido bridge. Fitting the susceptibility data for 1 using a 1D uniform chain model led to the parameters J = 0.70(3) cm(-1), g = 2.06(2), and zj' = 0.07(2) cm(-1). The magnetic studies on 3 and 4 show that there is weak antiferromagnetic coupling between the manganese(II) ions.  相似文献

Two novel three-dimensional (3D) 3d-4f mixed complexes [Ln(H(2)O)(4)][Ni(2)TTHA(SCN)(2)].H(3)O+ [Ln = Pr (1), Ce (2); H(6)TTHA = triethylenetetraaminehexaacetic acid], based on the building blocks of [Ni(2)TTHA(SCN)(2)](4-), were synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystal diffraction and magnetic properties. The single-crystal structures show that these complexes form a 3D framework, comprised of an unusual infinite one-dimensional chain based on heterometallic Ln2Ni2 rings. The temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibilities were analyzed by an approximate model, leading to g = 2.06. Delta = 2.83, zJ' = -0.6 cm-1 for complex 1 and g = 2.07, Delta = 1.00, zJ' = -0.5 cm(-1) for complex 2.  相似文献

Abstract  Two new coordination polymers, [CoL(bpp)] n (1) and [MnL(bipy)] n ·0.25nH2L·0.5nH2O (2) (H2L = 1,3-adamantanediacetic acid, bpp = 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane, bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine), were synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, and thermal analysis. Complex 1 is an one-dimensional (1D) chain structure of Co(II) bridged by L2− as well as bpp. Complex 2 consists of a two-dimensional (2D) (3,6)-connected topology layer structure. Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements in the range of 2–300 K reveal the existence of weak antiferromagnetic interactions in two complexes with J = −1.74 cm−1, g = 2.26 for 1 and J = −0.10 cm−1, g = 1.67 for 2. Index abstract  Two mental-organic frameworks, namely [CoL(bpp)] n (1) and [MnL(bipy)] n ·0.25nH2L·0.5nH2O (2) (H2L = 1,3-adamantanediacetic acid, bpp = 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane, bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine), have been synthesized based on 1,3-adamantanediacetic acid and N-donor coligand with metal ions Co(II) and Mn(II). The magnetic measurement of the two polymers reveals typical antiferromagnetism exchange. Reactions of Co(ClO4)2·6H2O with 2-pyrazinephosphonic acid (2-paPO3H2) under two different hydrothermal conditions gave two new cobalt 2-pyrazinephosphonates, Co(2-paPO3H)2 (1) and Co(2-paPO3)(H2O) (2). Compound 1 was obtained at 160 °C, while 2 was obtained at 180 °C. In 1, two Co(II) units are bridged by two O–P–O’s into a dimer and the dimers are linked by pyrazinyl groups into a 1-D double chain. In 2, the {CoO4N2} and {CPO3} polyhedra are interconnected via edge and corner-sharing into a metal phosphonate layer, and the layers are pillared by pyrazinyl groups into a 3-D network. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility studies reveal that both complexes have weak antiferromagnetic coupling between Co(II) ions.  相似文献

Three new Keggin polyoxometalate (POM)-based compounds linked to 3d metal complexes have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions: [Cu(phen)2]2{[Cu(phen)]2 [SiMo12O40(VO)2]} (1), {[Zn(phen)2]2[GeMo12O40(VO)2]}{[Zn(phen)2(H2O)]2 [GeMo12O40(VO)2]}·3H2O (2) and {[Co(phen)2]2[PMo12O40(VO)2]}{[Co(phen)2(OH)]2 [PMo12O40(VO)2]}·2.5H2O (3) (phen=1,10-phenanthroline). These three compounds present, as building blocks, the bicapped Keggin anions [XMo12O40(VO)2] (X=Si, Ge and P). Compound 1 consists of a bicapped Keggin anion [SiMo12O40(VO)2]2− linked to two [Cu(phen)]+ complexes with two [Cu(phen)2]+ countercations. Compound 2 contains two bicapped Keggin anions [GeMo12O40(VO)2]4−, one linked to two [Zn(phen)2(H2O)]2+ cations and the other one linked to two [Zn(phen)2]2+ cations. Compound 3 is a two-dimensional POM-based square network formed by bicapped Keggin anions [PMo12O40(VO)2]4− connected by [Co(phen)2]2+ cations. Discrete bicapped Keggin anions [PMo12O40(VO)2] linked to two [Co(phen)2(OH)]+ cations are located between the layers. The magnetic properties show the presence of antiferromagnetic interactions among the reduced Mo(V) atoms (in the three compounds) plus a paramagnetic contribution from the V(IV) atoms (in 1 and 2). Compound 3 shows, in addition, an antiferromagnetic interaction between the Co(II) and the V(IV) ions directly linked through an oxygen bridge. The low-temperature ESR spectra of compound 3 confirm the presence of the reduced Mo(V) ions and the antiferromagnetic coupling between the Co(II) and the V(IV) ions.  相似文献

Two new three-dimensional nickel coordination polymers, [Ni3(BTC)2(4,4'-bpy)2(H2O)5].1.5H2O (1) and [Ni(PDB)(4,4'-bpy)].0.5H2O (2)(4,4'-bpy = bipyridine, BTC = 1,2,4-benzenetricarboxylate, PDB = pyridine-3,4-dicarboxylate), have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TGA, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Both compounds contain 2D scaffolding motifs, and most interestingly adjacent scaffolds are connected by infinite helical chains into unique three-dimensional mesomeric networks. Moreover, temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibilities for the two compounds were studied, and ferromagnetic interactions through syn-anti carboxylate bridges between Ni sites have been observed.  相似文献

The reaction of the mixed-valent metal triangles [Mn(3)O(O(2)CR)(6)(py)(3)] (R = CH(3), Ph, C(CH(3))(3)) with the tripodal ligands H(3)thme (1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)ethane) and H(3)tmp (1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)propane) in MeCN, produces a family of manganese rodlike complexes whose structures are all derived from a series of edge-sharing triangles. Variable temperature direct current (dc) magnetic susceptibility data were collected for all complexes in the 1.8-300 K temperature range in fields up to 7.0 T. Complex 1, [Mn(12)O(4)(OH)(2)(PhCOO)(12)(thme)(4)(py)(2)], has an S = 7 ground state with the parameters g = 1.98 and D = -0.13 K. Complex 2, [Mn(8)O(4)((CH(3))(3)CCO(2))(10)(thme)(2)(py)(2)] has a ground state of S = 6, with g = 1.81 and D = -0.36 K. Complex 3, [Mn(7)O(2)(PhCO(2))(9)(thme)(2)(py)(3)], has a spin ground states of S = 7 with the parameters g = 1.78 and D = -0.20 K. The best fit for complex 4, [Mn(6)((CH(3))(3)CCO(2))(8)(tmp)(2)(py)(2)], gave a spin ground state of S = 3 with the parameters g = 1.73 and D = -0.75 K, but was of poorer quality than that normally obtained. The presence of multiple Mn(2+) ions in the structure of 4 leads to the presence of low-lying excited states with energy levels very close to the ground state, and in the case of complex 5, [Mn(6)(CH(3)CO(2))(6)(thme)(2)(H(2)tea)(2)], no satisfactory fit of the data was obtained. DFT calculations on 4 and 5 indicate complexes with spin ground states of S = 4 and S = 0 respectively, despite their topological similarities. Single-crystal hysteresis loop and relaxation measurements show complex 1 to be a SMM.  相似文献

Two novel zinc phosphonocarboxylates, Zn(3)(pbc)(2)(bpy)(H(2)O)·H(2)O (1) and Zn(2)(pbc)(2)·Zn(bpy)(H(2)O)(4)·2H(2)O (2) (pbc = 4-phosphono-benzoic acid, bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine), were hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized. Both of them exhibit zeolitic ABW topology in which double-zigzag inorganic chains are cross-linked by the organic parts. It is notable that the metal complex Zn(bpy)(H(2)O)(x) plays different roles in the two compounds. In 1, the Zn(bpy)(H(2)O) units coordinate with the phosphonate and carboxylate oxygen atoms and participate in the construction of the three-dimensional framework. In 2, the in situ generated [Zn(bpy)(H(2)O)(4)](2+) cation acts as a template, which directs the ABW-type open-framework by strong hydrogen bonds. It is the first example where a metal complex is used as a template in the synthesis of metal phosphonates. The luminescent properties of 1 and 2 are also investigated.  相似文献

Four heteronuclear complexes Mn(CuL)2(SCN)2 (1), {[Mn(CuL)2(mu-dca)2].2H2O}n (2), Zn(CuL)2(SCN)2 (3), and [Fe(CuL)(N3)2]2 (4) incorporating macrocyclic oxamide ligands have been synthesized and structurally characterized. L is the dianion of diethyl 5,6,7,8,15,16-hexahydro-6,7-dioxodibenzo[1,4,8,11]-tetraazacyclotetradecine-13,18-dicarboxylate, and dca is the dicyanamide. The structure of 1 or 3 consists of oxamido-bridged trinuclear [MIICuII2] molecules (for 1, M is the manganese(II) ion, and for 3, M is the zinc(II) ion). Both of them consist of 1D supramolecuar chains via pi-pi interactions. The structure of 2 also has the oxamido-bridged trinuclear [MnIICuII2] structure units and consists of 2D layers formed by the linkage of copper(II) and manganese(II) atoms via the oxamido and mu1, 5-dca bridges. Complex 4 consists of oxamido-bridged tetranuclear [FeII2CuII2] molecules and arranges in 1D chains. Different co-ligands may result in different structures in this macrocyclic oxamide system. The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements (2-300 K) of 1 and 2 both show the pronounced antiferromagnetic interactions between the copper(II) and manganese(II) ions.  相似文献

Two polymeric complexes, [Cu2(btec)(phen)2]n·(H2O)n (1) and [Cd4(btec)2(phen)4(H2O)4]n (2) (H4btec=1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid; PHEN=1,10-phenanthroline), were synthesized by solvothermal reactions at 140 °C. Both complex 1 and 2 possess infinite double-chain structures, in which each Cu(II) center has a tetrahedral configuration and the Cd(II) centers adopt triangular prismatic and square-based pyramidal configurations simultaneously. The inter-chain face to face π–π interactions among the aromatic rings of phen and the hydrogen bond interactions between aqua molecules and carboxyl O atoms result in 3-D networks in the two complexes. The ESR spectra study of complex 1 shows that there is negligibly small long-range super-exchange interactions between the Cu(II) atoms via benzenecarboxylate bridging.  相似文献

By employing hydrothermal method, six transition metal sulfates containing hydrazine (N(2)H(4)) have been obtained: [M(SO(4))(2)(N(2)H(5))(2)](n) (M = Mn(1), Co(2), Ni(3)) and [M(N(2)H(4))SO(4)](n) (M = Mn(4), Co(5), Ni(6)). Their crystal structures and magnetic properties have been investigated experimentally and theoretically. Compounds 1-3 consist of one-dimensional sulfate bridged homometallic chains with protonated hydrazine molecule as terminal ligand, and compounds 4-6 are hydrazing-sulfate mixed bridged homometallic three-dimensional frameworks. Compounds 1-6 exhibit antiferromagnetic coupling between M(2+) ions, but their magnetic properties differ at low temperatures because of the different single-ion anisotropy and crystal structures. The magnetostructural correlations and the magnetic coupling mechanism are analyzed by density functional theory calculations (DFT).  相似文献

Two unsymmetrical, macrocyclic, heterodinuclear complexes, [CuIIMII(L)]?(ClO4)2·nH2O (n?=?3; M?=?Zn, Cd) have been obtained by cyclocondensation of N,N′-bis(3-formyl-5-n-butylsalicylidene)ethylenediimine and 1,3-diaminopropane in the presence of M2+. The structures of both complexes were determined by X-ray diffraction techniques. In each complex, two metals are located in the tetraimine macrocyclic cavity, and a water molecule and a perchlorate group are separately coordinated to the metal ions on the same side of the ring. Coordination geometry around each metal is approximately square pyramidal. ESMS spectra were used to characterize the complexes and isotopic distributions were investigated.  相似文献

Treatment of p-ferrocenylbenzoate [p-HOOCH4C6Fc, Fc = (eta5-C5H5)Fe(eta5-C5H5)] with Mn(OAc)2 x 2H2O or Cd(OAc)2 x 2H2O afforded one-dimensional linear chain polymer [[Mn(OOCH4C6Fc)2(mu2-OH2)(H2O)2](H2O)]n (1), double-bridge polymer [Mn(mu2-OOCH4C6Fc)2(phen)]n (phen = phenanthroline) (2), and ladderlike framework [[Cd(mu2-OOCH4C6Fc)(eta2-OOCH4C6Fc)(bbp)](CH3OH)]n (bbp = 4,4'-trimethylene-dipyridine) (3). The solution-state cyclic voltammograms indicate that the half-wave potentials of the ferrocenyl moieties in these polymers are all shifted to positive potential compared to that of sodium p-ferrocenylbenzoate. Both 1 and 2 behave as 1D Heisenberg Mn(II) chains with weak intrachain antiferromagnetic interactions between the local high-spin Mn(II) ions, and the exchange coupling parameters J (-5.20 and -3.25 cm(-1) for 1 and 2, respectively) are larger than those of most of the reported di-Mn(II) complexes that contain mu2-aqua and mu2-carboxylato units and one-dimensional Mn(II) carboxylic polymers.  相似文献

Two novel three-dimensional complexes formulated as [M(3)(bime)2(mu3-OH)2(HO-BDC)2]n (M = Co, 1; Cu, 2) [bime = 1,2-bis(imidazol-1'-yl)ethane, HO-H2BDC = 5-hydroxyisophthalic acid] have been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized. Both 1 and 2 exhibit similar structural frameworks resulting from one-dimensional metal/oxygen chains extended by HO-BDC, but the bridging modes of HO-BDC and coordination environments of metal centers are different. Complexes 1 and 2 crystallize in the orthorhombic system, space group Pbcn, a = 18.458(2) [18.2119(12) for 2] Angstroms, b = 12.0616(14) [11.6847(7)] Angstroms, c = 11.4859(14) [12.0688(6)] Angstroms, and Z = 4 (4). Magnetic studies show that 1 displays a slow magnetic relaxation, a large hysteresis, and distinct finite-size effects and 2 contains an antiferromagnetic chain.  相似文献

Two new complexes with homochiral frameworks, {Co3(EIDC)2(H2O)5}n (1) and {Zn3(EIDC)2(H2O)4}n (2) (H3EIDC?=?2-ethyl-1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid), have been synthesized from achiral starting precursors via spontaneous resolution and fully characterized by elemental analyses, IR, circular dichroism, photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and thermogravimetric analysis. X-ray diffraction data revealed that 1 and 2 have SrSi2 topologies and that both are homochiral metal–organic frameworks. Compound 1 is constructed by left-handed chiral chains; however, right-handed chains constitute the homochiral framework of 2. Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements of 1 indicate strong antiferromagnetic interactions between the magnetic Co centers. Compound 2 exhibited weak blue PL in the solid state at room temperature.  相似文献

Solvothermal reactions of mixed ligands H(3)BTC and macrocyclic oxamide complexes (ML, M = Cu, Ni) with M(ClO(4))(2)·6H(2)O (M = Co, Zn, Ni and Cd) afford six new complexes, including [M'(4)(BTC)(2)(ML)(2)(OH)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O (M' = Co, M = Ni, for (1); M' = Zn, M = Ni, for (2); M' = Zn, M = Cu, for (3)), [Ni(3)(BTC)(2)(NiL)(2)(H(2)O)(6)]·2CH(3)OH·2H(2)O (4), [Cd(4)(BTC)(2)(HBTC)(NiL)(4)(H(2)O)]·3H(2)O (5) and [Cd(HBTC)(CuL)]·H(2)O (6) (ML, H(2)L = 2, 3-dioxo-5, 6, 14, 15-dibenzo-1,4,8,12-tetraazacyclo-pentadeca-7,13-dien; H(3)BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid). Complexes 1-3 consist of a 2D layer framework formed by the linkage of M(II)(M = Ni, Cu) and M'(4) (M' = Co, Zn) cluster via the oxamide and BTC(3-) bridges and display a (3,6)-connected network with a (4(3))(2)(4(6).6(6).8(3)) topology. The structure of 4 consists of pentanuclear [Ni(II)(5)] units and arranges in a 1D cluster chain. Complex 5 exhibits a 2D layered structure characterized by 3,4,3-connected (4.6(2))(3)(4.6(3).8(2))(4(2).6(3).8)(4(2).6) topology. Complex 6 possesses a 3D network with sra topology. The magnetic properties of complexes 1 and 4 were investigated.  相似文献

A series of complexes of fullerenes C60 and C70 with metal dithiocarbamates {MII(R2dtc)2}·Cm (m = 60 or 70) and metal dithiocarbamates coordinated to nitrogen-containing ligands (L), {MII(R2dtc)2)x·L}·C60 (x = 1 or 2), where M = Cu, Zn, Cd, Hg, Mn, or Fe, R = Me, Et, Prn, Pri, or Bun, L is 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO), N,N′-dimethylpiperazine, or hexamethylenetetramine, were synthesized. The shape of dithiocarbamate molecules is sterically compatible with the spherical shape of C60, resulting in an efficient interaction between their π systems. The resulting compounds are characterized by a layered or three-dimensional packing of the fullerene molecules. In the C60 complexes, iron(II) and manganese(II) dithiocarbamates exist in the high-spin states (S = 2 and 5/2). The magnetic susceptibility of {MII(Et2dtc)2}2·Cm (M = Fe or Mn, m = 60 or 70) in the temperature range of 200–300 K is described by the Curie-Weiss law with Θ = −250 and −96 K and with maxima at 110 and 46 K, respectively, which is indicative of a strong antiferromagnetic spin coupling between MII. The Weiss constants for the [{MII(Et2dtc)2}2·DABCO]·C60·(DABCO)2 complexes (M = Fe or Mn) are 1.7 and 0.3 K, respectively. The magnetic moments of the complexes containing Fe and Mn dithiocarbamates slightly increase at temperatures below 50 and 35 K, respectively, which is evidence of the ferromagnetic spin coupling between MII in {MII(Et2dtc)2}2·DABCO. Single crystals of the complexes exhibit low dark conductivity (10−10–10−11 S cm−1). The visible light irradiation of these crystals leads to an increase in the photocurrent by two–three orders of magnitude. The photogeneration of free charge carriers in the complexes occurs both due to the photoexcitation of metal dithiocarbamate (CuII(Et2dtc)2) and through the charge transfer from metal dithiocarbamate (MII(Et2dtc)2, M = Zn or Cd) to C60. Compounds 1, 2, 3 and 5 are uninodal 4-connected (4, 4)-grids topology, while complex 4 possesses a 2D network with (3, 4)-connected (4(2).8)(4)(4(3).6(2).8)(3) topology. The results of magnetic determination show pronounced antiferromagnetic interactions in 1-4.  相似文献
