A mathematical model for predicting the vibrations of ice-shelves based on linear elasticity for the ice-shelf motion and potential flow for the fluid motion is developed. No simplifying assumptions such as the thinness of the ice-shelf or the shallowness of the fluid are made. The ice-shelf is modelled as a two-dimensional elastic body of an arbitrary geometry under plane-strain conditions. The model is solved using a coupled finite element method incorporating an integral equation boundary condition to represent the radiation of energy in the infinite fluid. The solution is validated by comparison with thin-beam theory and by checking energy conservation. Using the analyticity of the resulting linear system, we show that the finite element solution can be extended to the complex plane using interpolation of the linear system. This analytic extension shows that the system response is governed by a series of singularities in the complex plane. The method is illustrated through time-domain simulations as well as results in the frequency domain.  相似文献

讨论了域外奇点边界元法在自由面势流问题计算中的作用,并以连续及离散Fourier分析对该方法(就m阶面元的一般情况)进行数值误差分析,导出了计及面元阶数、奇点至自由面垂向距离、配置点移动、差分格式等因素影响的数值误差一般表达式。从理论上证明了自由面势流问题计算中采用域外奇点法可改善离散产生的数值色散误差并能结合配置点前移(向上游)等方法以数值满足辐射条件。  相似文献

A time domain method is employed to analyze interactions of water waves and a group or an array of cylinders. The nonlinear free-surface boundary conditions are satisfied based on the perturbation method up to the second order. The first- and second-order velocity potential problems at each time step are solved through a finite element method (FEM). The mesh required is generated based on a 2-D unstructured grid on a horizontal plane and its extension in the vertical direction. The matrix equation of the FEM is solved through an iteration and the initial solution is obtained from the result at the previous time step. The radiation condition is imposed through a combination of the damping zone method and the Sommerfeld–Orlanski equation. Results for various configurations, including two cylinders, four cylinders, an array of 10 cylinders and two arrays of eight cylinders are provided to show the effect of the interaction and their behaviour near the trapped mode.  相似文献

建立大型复杂圆柱壳中高频振动噪声仿真计算方法,对于解决船舶和飞机等大型复杂结构的辐射噪声预报问题具有重要意义。介绍了完美匹配层流固耦合计算方法,并成功应用于大型复杂双层圆柱壳的水下辐射噪声预报,相对于传统的声学流固耦合有限元和边界元计算方法,使外部流场域模型至少缩小了11/15。探讨了环频率和阻尼对圆柱壳结构振动传递的影响,提出了求解中高频声学问题时大型圆柱壳复杂结构仿真建模处理方法。数值算例表明,发展的PML方法和模型简化方法是合理的,可应用工程问题研究。  相似文献

In this contribution a micromechanically motivated model for rate-dependent switching effects in piezoelectric materials is developed. The proposed framework is embedded into a three-dimensional finite element setting whereby each element is assumed to represent an individual grain. Related dipole (polarization) directions are thereby initially randomly oriented at the element level to realistically capture the originally un-poled state of grains in the bulk ceramics. The onset of domain switching processes is based on a representative energy criterion and combined with a linear kinetics theory accounting for time-dependent propagation of domain walls during switching processes. In addition, grain boundary effects are incorporated by making use of a macromechanically motivated probabilistic approach. Standard volume-averaging techniques with respect to the response on individual grains in the bulk ceramics are later on applied to obtain representative hysteresis and butterfly curves under macroscopically uniaxial loading conditions at different loading frequencies. It turns out that the simulations based on the developed finite element formulation nicely match experimental data reported in the literature.  相似文献

随着化石能源枯竭和全球变暖等环境问题的日益严重,海洋可再生能源(海上风能、波浪能和潮流能)成为研究热点. 为了有效开发海洋可再生能源,降低成本,多种能源综合开发成为现阶段的趋势. 海上风能与波浪能结合具有广阔的应用前景,联合发电系统不断创新. 水动力性能是联合发电系统与波浪相互作用的重要基础. 本文简要介绍多种应用在联合发电系统上的水动力学数值模拟方法,包括线性频域、线性时域、势流非线性方法标识码基于 Navier-Stokes 方程的黏性方法,对现有文献的水动力学数值模拟方法进行综述,从计算效率和精度标识码析其优缺点,且进一步阐述水动力控制优化的技术原理与实验技术主要科研难点,为联合发电系统的水动力设计提供依据. 得到以下主要结论:从计算效率上看,线性频域方法最优,其次为线性时域、势流非线性、黏性方法,从计算精标识码,与前者恰好相反;综合考虑计算效率和精度,采用考虑黏性修正的势流方法来研究是一个切实可行的方案;模标识码方法和优化控制技术目前还不够成熟,尚处于探索阶段.   相似文献

应用分形有限元方法结合边界元方法研究了二维含裂纹结构和声耦合问题.采用二级分形有限元方法对含裂纹的弹性结构体进行离散处理,这样可以使得自由度数大大地减少;无限大外域声场的计算使用边界元方法,可以自动满足无穷远辐射条件.数值仿真算例结果表明:结构声耦合系统的共振频率随着裂纹深度的增加而下降;裂纹附近的声场所受的影响较为明显.  相似文献

假定空气是可压缩、无粘性和有势的,推导了薄膜结构的非线性刚度矩阵和空气与薄膜结构耦合作用的气动力表达式。根据薄膜结构的受力特点,建立了薄膜结构与空气耦合系统的运动方程。采用有限元方法对无限域的空气进行简化,建立了空气与薄膜结构的耦合有限元模型,模拟了空气对薄膜结构的附加质量和声致阻尼影响。考虑薄膜结构的几何非线性,对结构在空气中的自由振动和受迫简谐振动进行了系统分析,同时探讨了流体环境对薄膜结构动力响应的影响因素。  相似文献

This paper studies the effects of structural and material length scales on the equilibrium domain patterns in thin-walled long tube configurations during stress-induced elastic phase transition under displacement-controlled quasi-static isothermal stretching. A nonconvex and nonlocal continuum model is developed and implemented into a finite element code to simulate the domain formation and evolution during the phase transition. The morphology and evolution of the macro-domains in different tube geometries are investigated by both analytical (energy analysis) and numerical (nonlocal finite element) methods. Energy minimization is used as the principle to explain the experimentally observed macroscopic domain patterns in a NiTi polycrystal tube. It is found that the domain pattern, as the minimizer of the system energy, is governed by the relative values of the material length scale g, tube-wall thickness h and tube radius R through two nondimensional factors: h/R and g/R. Physically, h/R and g/R serve as the weighting factors of bending energy and domain-wall energy over the membrane energy in the minimization of the total energy of the tube system. Theoretical predictions of the effects of these length scales on the domain pattern are quantified and confirmed by the computational parametric study. They all agree qualitatively well with the available experimental observations.  相似文献

A shear impact energy model (SIEM) of erosion suitable for both dilute and dense particle flows is proposed based on the shear impact energy of particles in discrete element method (DEM) simulations. A number of DEM simulations are performed to determine the relationship between the shear impact energy predicted by the DEM model and the theoretical erosion energy. Simulation results show that nearly one-quarter of the shear impact energy will be converted to erosion during an impingement. According to the ratio of the shear impact energy to the erosion energy, it is feasible to predict erosion from the shear impact energy, which can be accumulated at each time step for each impingement during the DEM simulation. The total erosion of the target surface can be obtained by summing the volume of material removed from each impingement. The proposed erosion model is validated against experiment and results show that the SIEM combined with DEM accurately predicts abrasive erosions.  相似文献

A material force method is proposed for evaluating the energy release rate and work rate of dissipation for fracture in inelastic materials. The inelastic material response is characterized by an internal variable model with an explicitly defined free energy density and dissipation potential. Expressions for the global material and dissipation forces are obtained from a global balance of energy-momentum that incorporates dissipation from inelastic material behavior. It is shown that in the special case of steady-state growth, the global dissipation force equals the work rate of dissipation, and the global material force and J-integral methods are equivalent. For implementation in finite element computations, an equivalent domain expression of the global material force is developed from the weak form of the energy-momentum balance. The method is applied to model problems of cohesive fracture in a remote K-field for viscoelasticity and elastoplasticity. The viscoelastic problem is used to compare various element discretizations in combination with different schemes for computing strain gradients. For the elastoplastic problem, the effects of cohesive and bulk properties on the plastic dissipation are examined using calculations of the global dissipation force.  相似文献

基于已有的颗粒材料连接尺度方法(BSM)[1-2],发展了在细尺度上采用离散颗粒集合体模型与离散单元法(DEM)并引入了颗粒破碎模型,而在粗尺度上采用Cosserat连续体模型与有限单元法(FEM)的BSM。仅在有限局部区域内采用DEM从细观层次关注颗粒材料破碎现象,而在全域采用储存空间和花费时间较少的FEM,同时在粗细两个尺度采用不同的时间步长。讨论了颗粒材料发生破碎时,颗粒材料结构的承载能力与微结构的演变。数值算例结果说明了所提出可模拟破碎的BSM的可用性和优越性,以及颗粒破碎对颗粒材料微观力学行为的影响。  相似文献

A rate-dependent inelastic behavior or viscoelastoplastic behavior of soil subjected to dynamic loading of a moving rigid wheel is studied herein. A rational approach to this seemingly complex problem is treated in the context of continuum mechanics. Together with the concept of critical state soil mechanics for inelastic behavior we incorporate the so-called internal state variables for viscous effects. It is assumed that the free energy functional containing inelastic behavior may not be smooth for its entire domain of time histories. Rather, we assume a form of discretized free energy as a function of elastic strains, plastic strains, and internal or hidden variables of incremental quantity considered to be valid only for a small time interval or a fraction of loading increments. The finite element method is used to derive governing equations of motion. Exhaustive numerical examples are presented to demonstrate effectiveness of the present method.  相似文献

本文基于理想可压缩流体压力传输方程及增量型TotaILagrangian列式,建立了考虑固体域几何非线性的固液耦合系统有限元方程,并开展了非线性分析工作。本文的方法可用于流体域远大于固体域,从而可仅仅研究固体域非线性响应的情况。由于流体域每个节点仅有一个未知量(压力),故流体域的计算规模得以大大减缩。同时,因为本文方法仅需对固体域进行非线性分析,故显著地简化了固液耦合非线性问题的求解工作。本文的方法亦可用于三维分析。  相似文献

Perfect gas flows in an unlimited space, which occur during rectilinear motion of a system of distributed heat sources, are investigated. The next modes in order of growth of the number M are examined: the heat conductive, convective, subsonic, transonic, supersonic, hypersonic. Examples of computations are presented. Flows with distributed heat sources attract ever-increasing attention. Such flows are important, e.g., in the problem of radiation propagation [1–5], in the analysis of a gasdynamic laser resonator and the optical characteristics of a ray [6]. Changes in the density because of absorption of the ray energy, which can result in an essential redistribution of the radiation intensity, are of great interest in these problems. Theoretical investigations of a general nature with distributed heat supply [7–10] are also important for the development of further applications. The topological derivative provides the variation of a response functional when an infinitesimal hole of a particular shape is introduced at a point of the domain. In this fracture mechanics work we use the topological derivative to approximate the energy release rate field associated with a small crack at any boundary location and at any orientation. Our proposed method offers significant computational advantages over current finite element based methods since it requires a single analysis, whereas the others require a distinct analysis for each crack location-orientation combination. Moreover, the proposed method evaluates the topological derivative in the non-cracked domain which eliminates the need for tailored meshes in the crack region.  相似文献

提出了弹性力学平面问题的局部边界积分方程方法。这种方法是一种无网格方法,它采用移动最小二乘近似试函数,且只包含中心在所考虑节点的局部边界上的边界积分。它易于施加本质边界条件。所得系统矩阵是一个带状稀疏矩阵。它组合了伽辽金有限元法、整体边界元法和无单元伽辽金法的优点。该方法可以容易推广到求解非线性问题以及非均匀介质的力学问题。计算了两个弹性力学平面问题的例子,给出了位移和能量的索波列夫模,所得计算结果证明:该方法是一种具有收敛快、精度高、简便有效的通用方法。  相似文献
