With an eye on applications in quantum mechanics and other areas of science, much work has been done to generalize traditional analytic methods to p-adic systems. In 2002 the first paper on p-adic wavelets was published. Since then p-adic wavelet sets, multiresolution analyses, and wavelet frames have all been introduced. However, so far all constructions have involved dilations by p. This paper presents the first construction of a p-adic wavelet system with a more general matrix dilation, laying the foundation for further work in this direction.  相似文献

We define the notion of projective multiresolution analyses, for which, by definition, the initial space corresponds to a finitely generated projective module over the algebra C(Tn) of continuous complex-valued functions on an n-torus. The case of ordinary multi-wavelets is that in which the projective module is actually free. We discuss the properties of projective multiresolution analyses, including the frames which they provide for L2(n). Then we show how to construct examples for the case of any diagonal 2 × 2 dilation matrix with integer entries, with initial module specified to be any fixed finitely generated projective C(T2)-module. We compute the isomorphism classes of the corresponding wavelet modules.  相似文献

We study isometric immersions of surfaces of constant curvature into the homogeneous spaces and . In particular, we prove that there exists a unique isometric immersion from the standard 2-sphere of constant curvature c > 0 into and a unique one into when c > 1, up to isometries of the ambient space. Transformations for a bilateral 2 ψ 2-series are investigated by means of Abel’s lemma on summation by parts. Two q-extensions of Dougall’s classical identity for bilateral 2H2-sum are established. As by-products, the Rogers–Fine identity is recovered and a new proof is presented for Bailey’s identity of bilateral well-poised 6 ψ 6-series.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group and cd(G) be the set of irreducible character degrees of G. Bertram Huppert conjectured that if H is a finite nonabelian simple group such that cd(G) = cd(H), then G ≅ H×A, where A is an abelian group. In this paper, we verify the conjecture for the twisted Ree groups 2 G 2(q 2) for q 2 = 32m + 1, m ≥ 1. The argument involves verifying five steps outlined by Huppert in his arguments establishing his conjecture for many of the nonabelian simple groups.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate some analytic properties for a class of holomorphic matrixvalued functions. In particular, we give a Picard type theorem which depicts the characterization of Picard omitting value in these functions. We also study the relation between asymptotic values and Picard omitting values, and the relation between periodic orbits of the canonical extension on C2×2 and Julia set of one dimensional complex dynamic system.  相似文献

Recursive matrices are ubiquitous in combinatorics, which have been extensively studied. We focus on the study of the sums of 2 × 2 minors of certain recursive matrices, the alternating sums of their 2 × 2 minors, and the sums of their 2 × 2 permanents. We obtain some combinatorial identities related to these sums, which generalized the work of Sun and Ma (2014) [23,24]. With the help of the computer algebra package HolonomicFunctions, we further get some new identities involving Narayana polynomials.  相似文献

Let Γ be an antipodal graph with intersection array {2r+1, 2r?2, 1; 1, 2, 2r+1}, where 2r(r + 1) ≤ 4096. If 2r + 1 is a prime power, then Mathon’s scheme provides the existence of an arc-transitive graph with this intersection array. Note that 2r + 1 is not a prime power only for r ∈ {7, 17, 19, 22, 25, 27, 31, 32, 37, 38, 42, 43}. We study automorphisms of hypothetical distance-regular graphs with the specified values of r. The cases r ∈ {7, 17, 19} were considered earlier. We prove that, if Γ is a vertex-symmetric graph with intersection array {2r + 1, 2r ? 2, 1; 1, 2, 2r +1}, 2r + 1 is not a prime power, and r ≤ 43, then r = 25, 27, or 31.  相似文献

We study 2 reals x in terms of how they can be approximated symmetrically by a computable sequence of rationals. We deal with a natural notion of approximation representation and study how these are related computationally for a fixed x. The simple incidence structure , formed by the points and the unordered pairs of distinct parallel lines of a finite affine plane of order n > 4, is a 2 – (n 2,2n,2n–1) design with intersection numbers 0,4,n. We obtain optimal height estimates for surfaces in ℍ2 × ℝ and × ℝ with constant Gaussian curvature K(I) and positive extrinsic curvature, characterizing the extreme cases as the revolution ones. Moreover, we get a representation for surfaces with constant Gaussian curvature in such ambient spaces, paying special attention to the cases of K(I) = 1 in × ℝ and K(I) = −1 in ℍ2 × ℝ. Associated to a projective arrangement of hyperplanes ${\mathcal A}$ n is the module D$({\mathcal A})$, which consists of derivations tangent to ${\mathcal A}$. We study D$({\mathcal A})$ when ${\mathcal A}$ is a configuration of lines in 2. In this setting, we relate the deletion/restriction construction used in the study of hyperplane arrangements to elementary modifications of bundles. This allows us to obtain bounds on the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of D$({\mathcal A})$. We also give simple combinatorial conditions for the associated bundle to be stable, and describe its jump lines. These regularity bounds and stability considerations impose constraints on Teraos conjecture.  相似文献

The dyadic diaphony, introduced by Hellekalek and Leeb, is a quantitative measure for the irregularity of distribution of point sets in the unit-cube. In this paper we study the dyadic diaphony of digital nets over ℤ2. We prove an upper bound for the dyadic diaphony of nets and show that the convergence order is best possible. This follows from a relation between the dyadic diaphony and the discrepancy. In order to investigate the case where the number of points is small compared to the dimension we introduce the limiting dyadic diaphony, which is defined as the limiting case where the dimension tends to infinity.
