Let be the tiling of R 3 with unit cubes whose vertices belong to the fundamental lattice L 1 of points with integer coordinates. Denote by L n the lattice consisting of all points x in R 3 such that nx belongs to L 1. When the vertices of a polyhedron P in R 3 are restricted to lie in L 1 then there is a formula which relates the volume of P to the numbers of all points of two lattices L 1 and L n lying in the interior and on the boundary of P. In the simplest case of the lattices L 1 and L 2 there are 27 points in each cube from whose relationships to the polyhedron P must be examined. In this note we present a new formula for the volume of lattice polyhedra in R 3 which involves only nine points in each cube of : one from L 2 and eight belonging to L 4. Another virtue of our formula is that it does not employ any additional parameters, such as the Euler characteristic.  相似文献

It is proved that an approximate solution of the integro-differential equation for the current at the surface of a dipole antenna obtained by Galerkin’s method converges to the exact solution. The Darboux theory of integrability for planar polynomial differential equations is a classical field, with connections to Lie symmetries, differential algebra and other areas of mathematics. In the present paper we introduce the concepts, problems and inverse problems, and we outline some recent results on inverse problems. We also prove a new result, viz. a general finiteness theorem for the case of prescribed integrating factors. A?number of relevant examples and applications is included.  相似文献

A classification of solutions of the first and second Painlevé equations corresponding to a special distribution of poles at infinity is considered. The relation between this distribution and singularities of the two-dimensional complex monodromy data manifold used for the parameterization of the solutions is analyzed. It turns out that solutions of the Painlevé equations have no poles in a certain critical sector of the complex plane if and only if their monodromy data lie in the singularity submanifold. Such solutions belong to the so-called class of “truncated” solutions (intégrales tronquée) according to P. Boutroux’s classification. It is shown that all known special solutions of the first and second Painlevé equations belong to this class.  相似文献

We study the class of functions called monodiffric of the second kind by Isaac.They are discrete analogues of holomorphic functions of one or two complex variables.Discrete analogues of the Cauchy-Riemann operator,of domains of holomorphy in one discrete variable,and of the Hartogs phenomenon in two discrete variables are investigated.Two fundamental solutions to the discrete Cauchy-Riemann equation are studied:one with support in a quadrant,the other with decay at infinity.The first is easy to construct by induction;the second is accessed via its Fourier transform.  相似文献
