In this paper the relation between De Morgan triples on the unit interval and Atanassov’s intuitionistic De Morgan triples is presented, showing how to obtain, in a canonical way, Atanassov’s intuitionistic De Morgan triples from De Morgan triples. Moreover, we also show that the automorphisms on the unit interval and on L∗ (the intuitionistic value lattice) are in one-to-one correspondence and how automorphisms on L∗ act on Atanassov’s intuitionistic De Morgan triples. It is also proved that the action of automorphisms and the canonical construction of De Morgan triples on L∗ commutes.  相似文献

A method is proposed to quantify uncertainty on statistical forecasts using the formalism of belief functions. The approach is based on two steps. In the estimation step, a belief function on the parameter space is constructed from the normalized likelihood given the observed data. In the prediction step, the variable Y to be forecasted is written as a function of the parameter θ and an auxiliary random variable Z with known distribution not depending on the parameter, a model initially proposed by Dempster for statistical inference. Propagating beliefs about θ and Z through this model yields a predictive belief function on Y. The method is demonstrated on the problem of forecasting innovation diffusion using the Bass model, yielding a belief function on the number of adopters of an innovation in some future time period, based on past adoption data.  相似文献

Local refinement techniques for elliptic problems on cell-centered grids   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Summary Algebraic multilevel analogues of the BEPS preconditioner designed for solving discrete elliptic problems on grids with local refinement are formulated, and bounds on their relative condition numbers, with respect to the composite-grid matrix, are derived. TheV-cycle and, more generally,v-foldV-cycle multilevel BEPS preconditioners are presented and studied. It is proved that for 2-D problems theV-cycle multilevel BEPS is almost optimal, whereas thev-foldV-cycle algebraic multilevel BEPS is optimal under a mild restriction on the composite cell-centered grid. For thev-fold multilevel BEPS, the variational relation between the finite difference matrix and the corresponding matrix on the next-coarser level is not necessarily required. Since they are purely algebraically derived, thev-fold (v>1) multilevel BEPS preconditioners perform without any restrictionson the shape of subregions, unless the refinement is too fast. For theV-cycle BEPS preconditioner (2-D problem), a variational relation between the matrices on two consecutive grids is required, but there is no restriction on the method of refinement on the shape, or on the size of the subdomains.  相似文献

In order to derive the offset curves by using cubic Bézier curves with a linear field of normal vectors (the so-called LN Bézier curves) more efficiently, three methods for approximating degree n Bézier curves by cubic LN Bézier curves are considered, which includes two traditional methods and one new method based on Hausdorff distance. The approximation based on shifting control points is equivalent to solving a quadratic equation, and the approximation based on L2 norm is equivalent to solving a quartic equation. In addition, the sufficient and necessary condition of optimal approximation based on Hausdorff distance is presented, accordingly the algorithm for approximating the degree n Bézier curves based on Hausdorff distance is derived. Numerical examples show that the error of approximation based on Hausdorff distance is much smaller than that of approximation based on shifting control points and L2 norm, furthermore, the algorithm based on Hausdorff distance is much simple and convenient.  相似文献

Abstract

This is a report on a number of recent results on composition operators which map, for 0 < p ? q ∞, the Hardy space Hp (on the unit disk in the complex plane) into H q. Attention is focused on questions of boundedness (existence), compactness, order boundedness and, in connection with the latter, on relating the absolutely summing and nuclearity character as well as special factorization properties of the operator to function theoretic properties of the defining symbol. Moreover, tools are provided to show that certain classes of operators can well be distinguished already on the level of composition operators.  相似文献

Area integral functions are introduced for sectorial operators on Lp-spaces. We establish the equivalence between the square and area integral functions for sectorial operators on Lp spaces. This follows that the results of Cowling, Doust, McIntosh, Yagi, and Le Merdy on Hinfin functional calculus of sectorial operators on Lp-spaces hold true when the square functions are replaced by the area integral functions.  相似文献

Ranked set sampling is applicable whenever ranking of a set of sampling units can be done easily by a judgement method or based on the measurement of an auxiliary variable on the units selected. In this work, we consider ranked set sampling, in which ranking of units are done based on measurements made on an easily and exactly measurable auxiliary variable X which is correlated with the study variable Y. We then estimate the mean of the study variate Y by the BLUE based on the measurements made on the units of the ranked set sampling regarding the study variable Y, when (X ,Y) follows a Morgenstern type bivariate exponential distribution. We then consider unbalanced multistage ranked set sampling and estimate the mean of the study variate Y by the BLUE based on the observations made on the units of multistage ranked set sample regarding the study variable Y. Efficiency comparison is also made on all estimators considered in this work.  相似文献

We study the Berezin transform of bounded operators on the Bergman space on a bounded symmetric domain Ω in Cn. The invariance of range of the Berezin transform with respect to G=Aut(Ω), the automorphism group of biholomorphic maps on Ω, is derived based on the general framework on invariant symbolic calculi on symmetric domains established by Arazy and Upmeier. Moreover we show that as a smooth bounded function, the Berezin transform of any bounded operator is also bounded under the action of the algebra of invariant differential operators generated by the Laplace-Beltrami operator on the unit disk and even on the unit ball of higher dimensions.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct sampling sets over the rotation group SO(3). The proposed construction is based on a parameterization, which reflects the product nature 2 × 1 of SO(3) very well, and leads to a spherical Pythagorean-like formula in the parameter domain. We prove that by using uniformly distributed points on 2 and 1, we obtain uniformly sampling nodes on the rotation group SO(3). Furthermore, quadrature formulae on 2 and 1 lead to quadratures on SO(3), as well. For scattered data on SO(3), we give a necessary condition on the mesh norm such that the sampling nodes possess nonnegative quadrature weights. We propose an algorithm for computing the quadrature weights for scattered data on SO(3) based on fast algorithms. We confirm our theoretical results with examples and numerical tests.  相似文献

A fuzzy dynamical system on an underlying complete, locally compact metric state space X is defined axiomatically in terms of a fuzzy attainability set mapping on X. This definition includes as special cases crisp single and multivalued dynamical systems on X. It is shown that the support of such a fuzzy dynamical system on X is a crisp multivalued dynamical system on X, and that such a fuzzy dynamical system can be considered as a crisp dynamical system on a state space of nonempty compact fuzzy subsets of X. In addition fuzzy trajectories are defined, their existence established and various properties investigated.  相似文献

We derive the explicit fundamental solutions for a class of degenerate (or singular) one-parameter subelliptic differential operators on groups of Heisenberg (H) type. This extends the results of Kaplan of the sub-Laplacian on H-type groups, which in turn generalizes Folland's result on the Heisenberg group. As an application, we obtain a one-parameter representation formula for Sobolev functions of compact support on H-type groups. By choosing the parameter equal to the homogeneous dimension Q and using the Moser-Trudinger inequality for the convolutional type operator on stratified groups obtained in [18], we get the following theorem which gives the best constant for the Moser-Trudinger inequality for Sobolev functions in H-type groups. We consider closed immersed hypersurfaces in R3 and R4 evolving by a special class of constrained surface diffusion flows. This class of constrained flows includes the classical surface diffusion flow. In this paper we present a Lifespan Theorem for these flows, which gives a positive lower bound on the time for which a smooth solution exists, and a small upper bound on the total curvature during this time. The hypothesis of the theorem is that the surface is not already singular in terms of concentration of curvature. This turns out to be a deep property of the initial manifold, as the lower bound on maximal time obtained depends precisely upon the concentration of curvature of the initial manifold in L2 for M2 immersed in R3 and additionally on the concentration in L3 for M3 immersed in R4. This is stronger than a previous result on a different class of constrained surface diffusion flows, as here we obtain an improved lower bound on maximal time, a better estimate during this period, and eliminate any assumption on the area of the evolving hypersurface.  相似文献

The paper at hand is concerned with creating a flexible wavelet theory on the three sphere S3 and the rotation group SO(3). The theory of zonal functions and reproducing kernels will be used to develop conditions for an admissible wavelet. After explaining some preliminaries on group actions and some basics on approximation theory, we will prove reconstruction formulas of linear and bilinear wavelet transformed L2‐functions on S3. Moreover, specific examples will be constructed and visualized. Second, we deal with the construction of wavelets on the rotation group SO(3). Transfer algorithms are usually used to optimize an objective function that is defined on the set of partitions of a finite set X. In this paper we define an equivalence relation ? on the set of fuzzy equivalence relations on X and establish a bijection from the set of hierarchies on X to the set of equivalence classes with respect to ?. Thus, hierarchies can be identified with fuzzy equivalence relations and the transfer algorithm can be modified in order to optimize an objective function that is defined on the set of hierarchies on X.  相似文献

As we know, B.Sz-Nagy and C.Foins studied systematically contractions on Hilbert spaces and developed the harmonic analysis theory of operators on Hilbert spaces. Since 1950s, people paid great attention to the study of contractions on πk spaces. Only a few results have been obtained until today; in particular, the spectral theory of contractions on πk Spaces and corresponding harmonic analysis theory have left still unexplored. This paper, as a continuation of [1], [2], [6], in which the authors after discussing some problems such as the negative invariant subspaces and unitary dilations of contractions on complete spaces with indefinite metrics, establish the triangle model of contractions on πk spaces and furthermore, apply the triangle model to the study of spectral theory of contractions on πk spaces, which is essential to the harmonic analysis of operators on πk spaces.  相似文献
