The effects of the renal artery stenosis(RAS) on the blood flow and vesselwalls are investigated.The pulsatile blood flow through an anatomically realistic model ofthe abdominal aorta and renal arteries reconstructed from CT-scan images is simulated,which incorporates the fluid-structure interaction(FSI).In addition to the investigationof the RAS effects on the wall shear stress and the displacement of the vessel wall,it isdetermined that the RAS leads to decrease in the renal mass flow.This may cause theactivation of the renin-angiotension system and results in severe hypertension.  相似文献

This article presents a numerical solution for the flow of a Newtonian fluid over an impermeable stretching sheet embedded in a porous medium with the power law surface velocity and variable thickness in the presence of thermal radiation. The flow is caused by non-linear stretching of a sheet. Thermal conductivity of the fluid is assumed to vary linearly with temperature. The governing partial differential equations (PDEs) are transformed into a system of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) with appropriate boundary conditions for various physical parameters. The remaining system of ODEs is solved numerically using a differential transformation method (DTM). The effects of the porous parameter, the wall thickness parameter, the radiation parameter, the thermal conductivity parameter, and the Prandtl number on the flow and temperature profiles are presented. Moreover, the local skin-friction and the Nusselt numbers are presented. Comparison of the obtained numerical results is made with previously published results in some special cases, with good agreement. The results obtained in this paper confirm the idea that DTM is a powerful mathematical tool and can be applied to a large class of linear and non-linear problems in different fields of science and engineering.  相似文献

土体颗粒物流动是一种典型的大变形破坏,具有非牛顿流体的流动特征。准确模拟土体颗粒物的流动及冲击过程,对滑坡和泥石流等地质灾害的防治具有重要意义。物质点法是一种无网格粒子类方法,已在各类大变形问题中得到了广泛应用。以往土体颗粒物流动的模拟,通常采用弹塑性本构模型,但缺乏对非牛顿本构模型的模拟分析。本文引入非牛顿本构模型的模拟分析,旨在为土体颗粒物流动模拟提供一种新的方法与思路。非牛顿本构模型的模拟分析是将非牛顿广义Cross模型引入三维物质点法,通过人工阻尼力模拟颗粒间的摩擦力,对土体颗粒物的坍塌、沿斜面滑动以及冲击障碍物等问题进行了动态模拟,研究了其运动全过程,并与弹塑性本构模型的模拟结果进行了对比验证。结果表明,基于非牛顿流体本构模型的物质点法可以较好地模拟土体颗粒物加速、减速到再次稳定的流动全过程及其对障碍物的冲击效应。  相似文献

Steady flow of a viscous incompressible fluid in a channel, driven by suction or injection of the fluid through the channel walls, is investigated. The velocity equation of this problem is reduced to nonlinear ordinary differential equation with two boundary conditions by appropriate transformation and convert the two‐point boundary‐value problem for the similarity function into an initial‐value problem in which the position of the upper channel. Then obtained differential equation is solved analytically using differential transformation method and compare with He's variational iteration method and numerical solution. These methods can be easily extended to other linear and nonlinear equations and so can be found widely applicable in engineering and sciences. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

To get a clear picture of the pulsatile nature of blood flow and its role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, a comparative study of blood flow in large arteries is carried out using the two widely used models, McDonald's and Burton's models, for the pressure gradient. For both models, the blood velocity in the lumen is obtained analytically. Elaborate investigations on the wall shear stress (WSS) and oscillatory shear index (OSI) are carried out. The results are in good agreement with the available data in the literature. The superiority of McDonald's model in capturing the pulsatile nature of blood flow, especially the OSI, is highlighted. The present investigation supports the hypothesis that not only WSS but also OSI are the essential features determining the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. Finally, by reviewing the limitations of the present investigation, the possibility of improvement is explored.  相似文献

The generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM) is employed to consider the free vibration and critical speed of moderately thick rotating laminated composite conical shells with different boundary conditions developed from the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT). The equations of motion are obtained applying Hamilton’s concept, which contain the influence of the centrifugal force, the Coriolis acceleration, and the preliminary hoop stress. In addition, the axial load is applied to the conical shell as a ratio of the global critical buckling load. The governing partial differential equations are given in the expressions of five components of displacement related to the points lying on the reference surface of the shell. Afterward, the governing differential equations are converted into a group of algebraic equations by using the GDQM. The outcomes are achieved considering the effects of stacking sequences, thickness of the shell, rotating velocities, half-vertex cone angle, and boundary conditions. Furthermore, the outcomes indicate that the rate of the convergence of frequencies is swift, and the numerical technique is superior stable. Three comparisons between the selected outcomes and those of other research are accomplished, and excellent agreement is achieved.  相似文献

分析了轴向流作用下两端简支和固支叠层板的稳定性。基于势流理论建立轴向流作用下叠层板的流固耦合系统连续型运动方程,基于有限差分法建立了流场网格和结构网格统一的离散化格式,流场势函数用板的横向振动位移变量来表示,得到关于叠层板的横向振动位移变量的控制方程。求解控制方程的广义特征值,计算分析结果表明,两端简支和两端固支模型发生屈曲失稳,且得到了屈曲失稳临界速度与叠层板的层数和无量纲板间距的关系。此外,轴向流作用下叠层板的一阶模态并不是叠层板的同相弯曲模态。  相似文献

The size-dependent effect on the biaxial and shear nonlinear buckling analysis of an isotropic and orthotropic micro-plate based on the surface stress,the modified couple stress theory(MCST),and the nonlocal elasticity theories using the differential quadrature method(DQM)is presented.Main advantages of the MCST over the classical theory(CT)are the inclusion of the asymmetric couple stress tensor and the consideration of only one material length scale parameter.Based on the nonlinear von K′arm′an assumption,the governing equations of equilibrium for the micro-classical plate considering midplane displacements are derived based on the minimum principle of potential energy.Using the DQM,the biaxial and shear critical buckling loads of the micro-plate for various boundary conditions are obtained.Accuracy of the obtained results is validated by comparing the solutions with those reported in the literature.A parametric study is conducted to show the effects of the aspect ratio,the side-to-thickness ratio,Eringen’s nonlocal parameter,the material length scale parameter,Young’s modulus of the surface layer,the surface residual stress,the polymer matrix coefficients,and various boundary conditions on the dimensionless uniaxial,biaxial,and shear critical buckling loads.The results indicate that the critical buckling loads are strongly sensitive to Eringen’s nonlocal parameter,the material length scale parameter,and the surface residual stress effects,while the effect of Young’s modulus of the surface layer on the critical buckling load is negligible.Also,considering the size dependent effect causes the increase in the stiffness of the orthotropic micro-plate.The results show that the critical biaxial buckling load increases with an increase in G12/E2and vice versa for E1/E2.It is shown that the nonlinear biaxial buckling ratio decreases as the aspect ratio increases and vice versa for the buckling amplitude.Because of the most lightweight micro-composite materials with high strength/weight and stiffness/weight ratios,it is anticipated that the results of the present work are useful in experimental characterization of the mechanical properties of micro-composite plates in the aircraft industry and other engineering applications.  相似文献
