This Note is devoted to the representation of Sobolev weak solutions to quasi-linear parabolic PDEs with monotone coefficients via FBSDEs. One distinctive character of this result is that the forward component of the FBSDE is coupled with the backward variable. To cite this article: F. Zhang, C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris, Ser. This is the third part of an article that is devoted to the theory of non‐linear initial boundary value problems. We consider coupled systems where each system is of higher order and of hyperbolic or parabolic type. Our goal is to characterize systematically all admissible couplings between systems of higher order and different type. By an admissible coupling we mean a condition that guarantees the existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions to the respective initial boundary value problem. In part 1, we develop the underlying theory of linear hyperbolic and parabolic initial boundary value problems. Testing the PDEs with suitable functions we obtain a priori estimates for the respective solutions. In particular, we make use of the regularity theory for linear elliptic boundary value problems that was previously developed by the author. In part 2, we prove the local in time existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions to quasilinear initial boundary value problems using the so‐called energy method. In the above sense the regularity assumptions about the coefficients and right‐hand sides define the admissible couplings. In part 3 at hand, we extend the results of part 2 to the nonlinear initial boundary value problem (4.2). In particular, assumptions (B8) and (B9) about the respective parameters correspond to the previous regularity assumptions and hence define the admissible couplings now. Moreover, we exploit assumptions (B8) and (B9) for the case of two coupled systems. Copyright © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this article (which is divided in three parts) we investigate the non‐linear initial boundary value problems (1.2) and (1.3). This paper presents a partial classification for C type-changing symplectic Monge-Ampère partial differential equations (PDEs) that possess an infinite set of first-order intermediate PDEs. The normal forms will be quasi-linear evolution equations whose types change from hyperbolic to either parabolic or to zero. The zero points can be viewed as analogous to singular points in ordinary differential equations. In some cases, intermediate PDEs can be used to establish existence of solutions for ill-posed initial value problems.  相似文献

We prove a maximum principle for local solutions of quasi-linear parabolic stochastic PDEs, with non-homogeneous second order operator on a bounded domain and driven by a space–time white noise. Our method based on an approximation of the domain and the coefficients of the operator, does not require regularity assumptions. As in previous works by Denis et al. (2005, 2009)  and , the results are consequences of Itô’s formula and estimates for the positive part of local solutions which are non-positive on the lateral boundary.  相似文献

We analyze parabolic PDEs with certain type of weakly singular or degenerate time-dependent coefficients and prove existence and uniqueness of weak solutions in an appropriate sense. A localization of the PDEs to a bounded spatial domain is justified. For the numerical solution a space?Ctime wavelet discretization is employed. An optimality result for the iterative solution of the arising systems can be obtained. Finally, applications to fractional Brownian motion models in option pricing are presented.  相似文献

We investigate existence and uniqueness of solutions to semilinear parabolic and elliptic equations in bounded domains of the n-dimensional hyperbolic space (n?3). LpLq estimates for the semigroup generated by the Laplace-Beltrami operator are obtained and then used to prove existence and uniqueness results for parabolic problems. Moreover, under proper assumptions on the nonlinear function, we establish uniqueness of positive classical solutions and nonuniqueness of singular solutions of the elliptic problem; furthermore, for the corresponding semilinear parabolic problem, nonuniqueness of weak solutions is stated.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider backward stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion (GBSDEs) under quadratic assumptions on coefficients. We prove the existence and uniqueness of solution for such equations. On the one hand, a priori estimates are obtained by applying the Girsanov type theorem in the G-framework, from which we deduce the uniqueness. On the other hand, to prove the existence of solutions, we first construct solutions for discrete GBSDEs by solving corresponding fully nonlinear PDEs, and then approximate solutions for general quadratic GBSDEs in Banach spaces.  相似文献

We investigate uniqueness for degenerate parabolic and elliptic equations in the class of solutions belonging to weighted Lebesgue spaces and not satisfying any boundary condition. The uniqueness result that we provide relies on the existence of suitable positive supersolutions of the adjoint equations. Under proper assumptions on the behavior at the boundary of the coefficients of the operator, such supersolutions are constructed, mainly using the distance function from the boundary.  相似文献

Orbits of charged particles under the effect of a magnetic field are mathematically described by magnetic geodesics. They appear as solutions to a system of (nonlinear) ordinary differential equations of second order. But we are only interested in periodic solutions. To this end, we study the corresponding system of (nonlinear) parabolic equations for closed magnetic geodesics and, as a main result, eventually prove the existence of long time solutions. As generalization one can consider a system of elliptic nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) whose solutions describe the orbits of closed p-branes under the effect of a “generalized physical force”. For the corresponding evolution equation, which is a system of parabolic nonlinear PDEs associated to the elliptic PDE, we can establish existence of short time solutions.  相似文献

In this paper we are concerned with the maximum principle for quasi-linear backward stochastic partial differential equations (BSPDEs for short) of parabolic type. We first prove the existence and uniqueness of the weak solution to quasi-linear BSPDEs with the null Dirichlet condition on the lateral boundary. Then using the De Giorgi iteration scheme, we establish the maximum estimates and the global maximum principle for quasi-linear BSPDEs. To study the local regularity of weak solutions, we also prove a local maximum principle for the backward stochastic parabolic De Giorgi class.  相似文献

We obtain an existence and uniqueness theorem for fully coupled forward–backward SDEs (FBSDEs) with jumps via the classical solution to the associated quasilinear parabolic partial integro-differential equation (PIDE), and provide the explicit form of the FBSDE solution. Moreover, we embed the associated PIDE into a suitable class of non-local quasilinear parabolic PDEs which allows us to extend the methodology of Ladyzhenskaya et al. (1968) to non-local PDEs of this class. Namely, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of a classical solution to both the Cauchy problem and the initial–boundary value problem for non-local quasilinear parabolic second-order PDEs.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a class of semilinear parabolic differential equation where nonlinear term has local bounded coefficients. Under some assumptions, we get the existence and uniqueness of solution. Terminate to the time variable, we obtain the so called generalized Emden-Fowler equation and the asymptotic behavior of positive radial solutions have been given in all dimensions. At the end of this paper, we give its application to critical branching Brownian motion (also called measure-valued branching processes).  相似文献

Given a set of independent vector fields on a smooth manifold, we discuss how to find a function whose zero-level set is invariant under the flows of the vector fields. As an application, we study the solvability of overdetermined partial differential equations: Given a system of quasi-linear PDEs of first order for one unknown function we find a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of solutions in terms of the second jet of the coefficients. This generalizes to certain quasi-linear systems of first order for several unknown functions.  相似文献

We improve a result on the existence and uniqueness of a positive principal eigenvalue of a periodic parabolic equation with respect to an indefinite weight function due to Beltramo and Hess. We remove the regularity conditions on the domain and weaken considerably the regularity assumptions on the weight and the coefficients of the parabolic operator. Further we give a perturbation theorem for the principal eigenvalue which allows to perturb the domain, the coefficients of the parabolic operator and the weight simultaneously.  相似文献

In this study, we consider a coefficient problem of a quasi-linear two-dimensional parabolic inverse problem with periodic boundary and integral over determination conditions. We prove the existence, uniqueness and continuously dependence upon the data of the solution by iteration method. Also, we consider numerical solution for this inverse problem by using linearization and the implicit finite-difference scheme.  相似文献

This paper has two parts. In part I, the existence and uniqueness are established for Sobolev solutions of a class of semilinear parabolic partial differential equations. Moreover, a probabilistic interpretation of the solutions in terms of backward stochastic differential equations is obtained. In part II, the existence for viscosity solutions of PDEs with obstacle and Neumann boundary condition is proved.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to solving one-dimensional backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs), where the time horizon may be finite or infinite and the assumptions on the generator g are not necessary to be uniform on t. We first show the existence of the minimal solution for this kind of BSDEs with linear growth generators. Then, we establish a general comparison theorem for solutions of this kind of BSDEs with weakly monotonic and uniformly continuous generators. Finally, we give an existence and uniqueness result for solutions of this kind of BSDEs with uniformly continuous generators.  相似文献

In this paper we study time inhomogeneous versions of one-dimensional Stochastic Differential Equations (SDE) involving the Local Time of the unknown process on curves. After proving existence and uniqueness for these SDEs under mild assumptions, we explore their link with Parabolic Differential Equations (PDE) with transmission conditions. We study the regularity of solutions of such PDEs and ensure the validity of a Feynman–Kac representation formula. These results are then used to characterize the solutions of these SDEs as time inhomogeneous Markov Feller processes.  相似文献
