A new petentiometric method to determine peroxide hydrogen and glucose had been studied. This method had been applied on the petentiometric determination of peroxide hydrogen and glucose in the total ionic strength adjustment buffer (TISAB) (pH 7.5) solution with the glassy electrode modified by the calix[4]arene. The glassy carbon electrode covered with the calix[4]arene depended on the H2O2 concentration in the range of log[H2O2] from −3.3 to −1.2 in the solution of TISAB (pH 7.5) with nearly Nernstian slope of about 65.6 ± 3 mV and the detection limit of peroxide hydrogen was 4.0 × 10−5 mol L−1. The glassy carbon electrode covered with the calix[4]arene depended on the glucose concentration in the range of log[glucose] from −3.6 to −2.8 in the solution of TISAB (pH 7.5) with nearly Nernstian slope of about 50.2 ± 2 mV and the detection limit of glucose was 2.0 × 10−5 mol L−1. The electrode had the good selectivity, sensitivity, stability and repeatability.  相似文献

A series of novel calix[4]arene hydrazone and semicarbazone based neutral receptors have been synthesized and characterized by IR, UV-vis, and NMR spectroscopies. The preliminary UV-vis and 1H NMR titration experiments revealed that 25,26,27,28-tetrapropoxycalix[4]arene tetra-semicarbazone can recognize H2PO4 through a 1:1 binding-stoichiometry in preference over other anions (Cl, Br, I, HSO4, ClO4, and CH3COO).  相似文献

Two redox anion receptors based on calix[4]pyrrole and ferrocene have been synthesized. The electrochemical investigation revealed that these compounds can be response to the anions with different shifts of Fc/Fc+ couple. With the 1H NMR titration study, the selectivity to F and AcO ions in CD3CN solution was confirmed. The conformations of the mono-aromatic meso-substituted calix[4]pyrroles, which were the synthetical intermediate of the ferrocene based receptors, and their anion complexes in the solid state have also been studied by single X-ray crystallography, and the rationality of the crystal conformations was proved by theoretical study.  相似文献

In this study the synthesis of novel chiral calix[4]azacrown derivatives has been reported. The enantioselectivity of chiral receptors was investigated by using UV-vis spectroscopy. All the chiral calix[4]arene derivatives exhibited certain chiral recognition toward the enantiomers of phenylalanine (Phe-OMe·HCl) and alanine methyl ester hydrochlorides (Ala-OMe·HCl). As a chiral receptor, the furfuryl-armed calix[4]azacrown ether 7 has the best enantiomeric discriminating ability for α-amino acid ester hydrochlorides (up to KL/KD=2.08, ΔΔG0=−1.82 kJ mol−1) in CHCl3. The enantiomeric recognition abilities for guests are also discussed from a thermodynamic point of view.  相似文献

This Letter describes the formation of pseudo[3]rotaxanes containing calix[4]-bis-crowns, exhibiting a 1,3-alternate conformation and large crown cavities, and secondary ammonium ions. The first and second association constants of pseudo[3]rotaxane formation are moderate (K1 = 175, K2 = 100 M−1) and are higher than that of the corresponding pseudo[2]rotaxane (K = 24 M−1), consisting of a calix[4]-mono-crown and the same secondary ammonium ion.  相似文献

Non-covalent calix[4]pyrrole-chloranil complex, a new class of supramolecular assembly, is reported. The formation of the complex is mainly attributed to the charge-transfer interactions between calix[4]pyrrole with electron-rich pyrrole rings and the electron-deficient chloranil subunit. As potential colorimetric anion sensors, the charge-transfer aggregation may be used for effective and selective detection of F and H2PO4 by means of dramatic visual color changes.  相似文献

Ion-selective membrane electrodes doped with the urea- or thiourea-functionalised calix[4]arenes, 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[[4-N′-(phenylureido)butyl]oxy]-26,28-dipropoxy calix[4]arene (I) and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[[4-(N′-phenylthioureido)-butyl]oxy]-26,28-dipropoxy calix[4]arene (II), were evaluated for anion sensing. Potentiometric results show that these calixarene ionophore-based membrane electrodes exhibit a good sensitivity to aqueous solutions of the monohydrogen orthophosphate species HPO42− in the concentration range 5.0 × 10−5 to 1.0 × 10−1 M, with near-Nernstian response slopes of −33.0 and −28.0 mV dec−1 for ionophores I and II, respectively. Selectivity coefficient values for monohydrogen orthophosphate over a range of common anions were determined by the fixed interference and matched potential methods and indicated that these membrane electrodes exhibit a good selectivity for HPO42− with respect to the other anions, including sulfate and nitrate.  相似文献

The first comparative theoretical study of three parent calix[4]arene analogues (calix[4]arene, thiacalix[4]arene, and homooxacalix[4]arene) has been performed using molecular dynamic simulations and density functional theory (MPWB1K/6-311G∗∗//B3LYP/6-311G∗∗) methods. The theoretical observations herein including optimized geometry, polarity, and atomic charge data provide that homooxacalix[4]arene would offer more efficient platform for metal ion recognition compared to thiacalix[4]arene or calix[4]arene.  相似文献

Vapor-liquid equilibria (VLE) have been measured for five 1-hexene/n-hexane/ionic liquid systems and 1-hexene/n-hexane/NMP (N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) system with a headspace-gas chromatography (HSGC) apparatus at 333.15 K. The ionic liquids investigated were 1,3-dimethylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate [C2MIM]+[BF4], 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate [C4MIM]+[BF4], 1-methyl-3-octylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate [C8MIM]+[BF4], 1,3-dimethylimidazolium dicyanamide [C2MIM]+[N(CN)2] and 1-octylquinolinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide [C8Chin]+[BTA]. It was found that at low feeding concentration of 1-hexene and n-hexane, the separation ability of ionic liquids is in the order of [C2MIM]+[BF4] > [C4MIM]+[BF4] ≈ [C2MIM]+[N(CN)2] > [C8MIM]+[BF4] > [C8Chin]+[BTA], which is consistent with the priori prediction of the COSMO-RS (conductor-like screening model for real solvents) model. But at high feeding concentration, the separation ability of ionic liquids is in the order of [C2MIM]+[BF4] < [C4MIM]+[BF4] ≈ [C2MIM]+[N(CN)2] < [C8MIM]+[BF4] < [C8Chin]+[BTA]. The liquid demixing effect should be taken into account. The activity coefficients of 1-hexene and n-hexane at infinite dilution calculated with the COSMO-RS model were correlated using the NRTL, Wilson and UNIQUAC model. In this work the predictive results from the COSMO-RS model and UNIFAC model for the 1-hexene/n-hexane and 1-hexene/n-hexane/NMP systems were compared. The article describes the syntheses and complexation properties of new calixarene-based extractants, which have been synthesized from 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27-tris(chlorocarbonylmethoxy)-28-hydroxycalix[4]arene and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetrakis(chlorocarbonylmethoxy)calix[4]arene by treatment with isoniazid (isonicotinic acid hydrazide) in the presence of pyridine, respectively. p-tert-Butylcalix[4]arene teraamide was converted to its methyl iodide salt by refluxing with methyl iodide in acetonitrile. In this synthesis it was thought to explore the role of pyridinium sites in the extraction of HCr2O7/Cr2O72− anions. The complexing properties of the extractants toward selected alkali/transition metal cations and HCr2O7/Cr2O72− anions are reported. It has been observed that both receptors do not extract alkali metal cations but show excellent selectivity toward transition metals. The protonated pyridinium forms of the receptors are effective for transferring the HCr2O7/Cr2O72− anions from an aqueous into a dichloromethane layer.  相似文献

A series of new calix[4]arene(amido)mono-crown compounds have been synthesized through aminolysis of calix[4]arene esters and intramolecular cyclization of the intermediates. The title compounds were converted into their nitro and azo substituted derivatives to provide novel photoresponsive molecular receptors for transition metal ions. Single crystal X-ray analysis of calix[4]arene(ethyleneamido)mono-crown (2a) revealed that the compound is present in a cone conformation with an amido loop that caps the lower rim of calix[4]arene cavity to result in stacking along axis a and axis c to provide supramolecular aggregates in the solid state. Evaluation of synthesized macrocycles in the solution phase for recognition of transition metal cations (Cr3+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Ag+, Cd2+, Pb2+, Hg+, Hg2+, Pd2+, and Pt2+) by UV-visible spectroscopy revealed that p-tert-butyl-calix[4]arene mono-(amidocrown) 1c selectively shows a blue shift at 38 nm on interaction with Hg+ ions.  相似文献

Two novel carboxylphenyl-modified calix[4]arenes, tetrakis-carboxylphenylcalix[4]arene (TCPC) and 1,3-bis-carboxylphenylcalix[4]arene (BCPC), as well as a corresponding analogue for comparison, tetrakis-phenylcalix[4]arene (TPC), have been synthesized by palladium-catalyzed Suzuki cross-coupling of arylboronic acid and tetrabromocalix[4]arene as a key step. The binding properties of these calix[4]arene derivatives with bovine heart cytochrome c (cyt c) in dimethylformamide (DMF) was investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy. The binding affinity in the order of TCPC > BCPC ? TPC reflects a clear dependence on the number of carboxyl ligating groups attached onto a receptor and suggests the electrostatic force may be the predominant factor driving the complexing process. The stable 1:1 complexes of TCPC and BCPC with cyt c were evidenced with the binding constants of 3.15 × 106 and 5.85 × 105 L mol−1, respectively. Due to a large overlap between the emission spectrum of TCPC and the absorption spectrum of cyt c, and a short interaction distance (estimated to be 5.6 nm) between them, the fluorescence quenching of TCPC upon complexation with cyt c is attributed to an efficient energy transfer.  相似文献

Functionalized N,O-bridged calix[1]arene[4]pyridines, first examples of the odd-numbered heterocalixaromatics containing mixed heteroatom bridges and mixed aromatic units, have been synthesized from the Pd2(dba)3/dppp-catalyzed 2+3 macrocyclic fragment coupling reaction between readily available staring materials. These novel macrocyclic compounds, which adopted distorted 1,3-alternate conformation in solid state, were powerful host molecules able to form 1:1 complex with fullerene C60 in solution, giving binding constant up to 49,494 M−1.  相似文献

The performance of calix[2]furano[2]pyrrole and related compounds used as neutral carriers for silver selective polymeric membrane electrode was investigated. The silver ion-selective electrode based on calix[2]furano[2]pyrroles gave a good Nernstian response of 57.1 mV per decade for silver ion in the activity range 1×10−6 to 1×10−2 M. The present silver ion-selective electrode displayed very good selectivity for Ag+ ion against alkali and alkaline earth metal ions, NH4+, and H+. In particular, the present Ag+-selective electrode exhibited very low responses towards Hg2+ and Pb2+ ions. The potentiometric selectivity coefficients of the silver ion-selective electrode exhibited a strong dependence on the solution pH. In particular, the response of the electrode to the Hg2+ activity was greatly diminished at pH 2.5 compared to that at pH 5.0. Overall, the performance of the present silver ion-selective electrode based on the ionophore, calix[2]furano[2]pyrrole, is very comparable to that of the electrode prepared with the commercially available neutral carrier in terms of slope, linear range, and detection limits.  相似文献

Two new meso-indanyl-substituted calix[4]pyrrole receptors, 2 and 3, have been synthesized. A range of calix[4]pyrrole host-neutral molecule complexes crystallise from solutions of 2 in a variety of solvents and the structures of four have been elucidated by X-ray crystallography. The F and Cl anion affinities of 2 have been measured in acetonitrile, and are significantly different from the corresponding affinities of the prototypical calix[4]pyrrole, the octamethyl-derivative, 1. ESI-FTICR-MS has been used to determine the relative F and Cl anion affinities of receptors 1 and 2 in methanol-acetonitrile solution. Deprotonation of 1 and 2 by fluoride is observed (under the conditions of the MS experiment).  相似文献

The possible inclusion complexes of Cp2NbCl2 into calixarenes hosts have been investigated. The existence of a true inclusion complex in the solid state was confirmed by a combination of NMR, ab-initio calculations, thermogravimetric analysis, FTIR, Raman and PXRD. Ab-initio calculations, 1H NMR solution and solid state 13C CP-MAS NMR results demonstrated that p-sulfonic calix[6]arene does form an inclusion complex with Cp2NbCl2. Raman spectroscopy showed, for the inclusion compound of p-sulfonic calix[6]arene-Cp2NbCl2, a band between 500 and 850 cm−1 characteristic of Nb-O vibration. This result suggests that Nb(V) may engage in coordination with the oxygen of the sulfonate group, as part of the host-guest interaction. However, it is important to mention that the niobocene dichloride (Cp2NbCl2) dissolves in water and undergoes oxidation and hydrolysis processes to yield Cp2NbCl2(OH) species. For that reason this band does not exclude that the Nb-O band belongs to Cp2NbCl2(OH). Solid State 13C CP-MAS NMR and solution 1H NMR spectroscopies together with ab-initio results showed that Cp2NbCl2 is included in the p-sulfonic calix[6]arene cavity, with both Cp rings inside the cavity. In contrast, the solution 1H NMR results demonstrated that calix[6]arene does not form inclusion complex with Cp2NbCl2 in CDCl3 solution. Cp2NbCl2 is not included in the calix[6]arene cavity, possibly due to the lack of sulfonate heads which promote Nb-O interactions and assist the inclusion of Cp2NbCl2 into the cavity.  相似文献

A novel fluorogenic calix[4]arene dansylcarboxamide in the cone conformation has been synthesized as the disodium salt and employed in optical recognition of mercury(II). In extraction from aqueous solutions with high content of competing Na+ (CNa+ ∼0.1 M; pH 5.0, acetate buffer) into CHCl3, the fluoroionophore allowed for detection of 8.0 × 10−7 M Hg2+ (1:1 complex; ) with high selectivity over many other relevant metal ions.  相似文献

Abstract

Single halogen atom (i. e. I, Br, Cl and F) substituted calix[4]pyrroles, compounds 2, 3, 4 and 5, were synthesized. Studies of these systems reveal that replacement of a single β-pyrrolic hydrogen atom can increase the anion binding ability of calix[4]pyrroles for a variety of anions (e. g. Cl?, Br?, H2PO4 ? and HSO? 4) relative to normal non-halogen substituted calix[4]pyrrole 1. In the case of chloride anion, the expected relative affinity sequence of 5 > 4 > 3 > 2 was observed. This was not found to be true for Br?, H2PO? 4, and HSO? 4. Here, the chlorine substituted calix[4]pyrrole 4 was found to display a slightly higher affinity in the case of each anion than the fluorine-bearing derivative 5. This was rationalized in terms of intermolecular NH … F hydrogen bonding interactions being present in CD2Cl2 solutions of 5. Support for this latter conclusion came from concentration and temperature-dependent NMR spectroscopic studies.

A matched set of mono halogen substituted calix[4]pyrroles was used to study in detail, the extent to which halogen substituents may be used to fine-tune the anion binding properties of calix[4]pyrroles.  相似文献

The thermal isomerization of anti to syn stereoisomers of oxacalix[4]arene bearing two methyl groups at the intra-annular distal positions was investigated by temperature-dependent NMR spectroscopy. The conversion followed a first-order kinetics, and very slowly proceeded at 473 K in nitrobenzene-d5 with a half-life of 7.2 h. The free energy of activation (ΔG 139 kJ mol−1) is much higher than those for the ring inversion of related calix[4]arene derivatives.  相似文献

The electrochemical one-electron reduction (oxidation) of bipyridyl metal complexes ([Co(bipy)3]3+, [Cr(bipy)3]3+, [Fe(bipy)3]2+, [Ru(bipy)3]2+ (as well as Co(III) sepulcrate)) with water-soluble (thia)calix[4]arenes has been studied by means of cyclic voltammetry. It has been shown that [M(bipy)3]3+/2+ bind to (thia)calix[4]arenes via sulfonate groups of the upper rim. Oxidized forms bind stronger than reduced ones leading to reduction (oxidation) of half-wave cathodic shift. The effect of predominant stabilization of oxidized forms of metal complexes for carboxylated calix[4]arene is stronger than for thiacalix[4]arene (ΔΔG0?=???7.8?÷???12.5 and ??3.7 kJ/mol, respectively). The redox-switchable outer-sphere binding of Co(III) sepulchrate via lower rim of carboxylated calix[4]arene has been revealed using cyclic voltammetry. The binding constants of outer-sphere associates based on calix[4]arenes and unstable metal complexes ([Co(sep)]2+, [Ru(bipy)3]3+, [Co(bipy)3]2+) have been calculated for the first time using 1H NMR titration and cyclic voltammetry data.
