This paper focuses on the development of an effective methodology to obtain the optimum ultrasonic‐assisted removal of a dye, safranin O (SO), under optimum conditions that maximize the removal percentage, using ZnO nanorod‐loaded activated carbon (ZnO‐NRs‐AC) in aqueous solution. Central composite design coupled with genetic algorithm was used for parameter optimization. The effects of variables such as pH, initial dye concentration, mass of ZnO‐NRs‐AC and sonication time were studied. The interactive and main effects of these variables were evaluated using analysis of variance. The structural and physicochemical properties of the ZnO‐NRs‐AC adsorbent were investigated using field emission scanning electron microscopy and X‐ray diffraction. Adsorption equilibrium data were fitted well with the Langmuir isotherm and the maximum monolayer capacity was found to be 32.06 mg g?1. Studies of the adsorption kinetics of the SO dye showed a rapid sorption dynamic with a pseudo‐second‐order kinetic model, suggesting a chemisorption mechanism.  相似文献

In the present work, Mn‐doped CuO‐NPs‐AC was prepared by a simple method, characterized using various techniques such as FESEM, EDX, XRD, PSD, and pHpzc and finally used for the adsorption of malachite green (MG) and methyl orange (MO) in a number of single and binary solutions. A series of adsorption experiments were conducted to investigate and optimize the influence of various factors (such as different pH, concentration of MG and MO, adsorbent mass, and sonication time) on the simultaneous adsorption of MG and MO using response surface methodology. Under optimal conditions of pH 10, adsorbent dose of 0.02 g, MG concentration of 30 mg L?1, MO concentration of 30 mg L?1, and sonication time of 4.5 min at room temperature, the maximum predicted adsorption was observed to be 100.0%, for both MG and MO, showing that there is a favorable harmony between the experimental data and model predictions. The adsorption isotherm of MO and MG by Mn‐doped CuO‐NPs‐AC could be well clarified by the Langmuir model with maximum adsorption capacity of 320.69 mg g?1 and 290.11 mg g?1 in the single solution and 233.02 mg g?1 and 205.53 mg g?1 in the binary solution by 0.005 g of adsorbent mass for MG and MO, respectively. Kinetic studies also revealed that both MG and MO adsorption were better defined by the pseudo‐second order model for both solutions. In addition, the thermodynamic constant studies disclosed that the adsorption of MG and MO was likely to be influenced by a physisorption mechanism. Eventually, the reusability of the Mn‐doped CuO‐NPs‐AC after six times showed a reduction in the adsorption percentage of MG and MO.  相似文献

Activated carbon from lemon wood (AC) and ZnO nanoparticles loaded on activated carbon (ZnO‐NP‐AC) were prepared and their efficiency for effective acid yellow 199 (AY 199) removal under various operational conditions was investigated. The dependence of removal efficiency on variables such as AY 199 concentration, amount of adsorbent and contact time was optimized using response surface methodology and Design‐Expert. ZnO nanoparticles and ZnO‐NP‐AC were studied using various techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction and energy‐dispersive X‐ray analysis. The optimum pH was studied using one‐at‐a‐time method to achieve maximum dye removal percentage. Small amounts of the proposed adsorbents (0.025 and 0.025 g) were sufficient for successful removal of AY 199 in short times (4.0 and 4.0 min) with high adsorption capacity (85.51 and 116.29 mg g?1 for AC and ZnO‐NPs‐AC, respectively). Fitting the empirical equilibrium data to several conventional isotherm models at optimum conditions indicated the appropriateness of the Langmuir model with high correlation coefficient (0.999 and 0.978 for AC and ZnO‐NPs‐AC, respectively) for representation and explanation of experimental data. Kinetics evaluation of experiments at various time intervals revealed that adsorption processes can be well predicted and fitted by pseudo‐second‐order and Elovich models. This study revealed that the combination of ZnO nanoparticles and AC following simple loading led to significant improvement in the removal process in short adsorption time which was enhanced by mixing the media via sonication.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to optimize the extraction process of phloridzin from Lithocarpus polystachyus Rehd. leaves using response surface methodology and to determine the antioxidant capacity of the extract. A Box–Behnken design was used to analyze the effects of ethanol concentration, liquid–solid ratio, soak time and extraction time on the extraction yield of phloridzin. The content of phloridzin was determined by high‐performance liquid chromatography. To assess the antioxidant capacity of the extract, three in vitro test systems were used (1,1‐,diphenyl‐2‐picrylhydrazyl, hydroxyl radical scavenging test and reduction force). The optimal parameters obtained by response surface methodology were a volume fraction of ethanol of 64%, a liquid–solid ratio of 37:1, a soaking time of 35 h and a sonication time of 38 min. The proportion of the extraction of phloridzin from L. polystachyus under these industrial process conditions was 3.83%. According to the obtained results, response surface methodology could be suggested as an adequate model for optimizing the extraction process of phloridzin from L. polystachyus . Ultrasound extraction significantly increased the extraction rate of phloridzin, which could be used as an antioxidant in pharmaceutical and food products.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to evaluate the surface adsorption capacity of CrFeO3 nanoparticle‐loaded activated carbon (CrFeO3‐NPs–AC) for the removal of a cationic dye (methyl violet, MV). CrFeO3‐NPs were hydrothermally synthesized and loaded on AC followed by characterization using X‐ray diffraction, field‐emission scanning electron microscopy and energy‐dispersive and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopies. The CrFeO3‐NPs were tested for in vitro antibacterial activities against Gram‐positive (Staphylococcus aureus) and Gram‐negative (Pseudomonas aeruginosa) bacteria. Minimum inhibitory and minimum bactericidal concentrations of CrFeO3‐NPs–AC were obtained to be 50 and 100 μg ml?1, respectively, against S. aureus and 25 and 50 μg ml?1 against P. aeruginosa. These results indicated the antibacterial properties of CrFeO3‐NPs–AC. To investigate the adsorption process, several systematic experiments were designed by varying parameters such as adsorbent mass, pH, initial MV concentration and sonication time. The adsorption process was modelled and the optimal conditions were determined to be 0.013 g, 7.4, 15 mg l?1 and 8 min for adsorbent mass, pH, MV concentration and sonication time, respectively. The real experimental data were found to be efficiently explained by response surface methodology and genetic algorithm model. Kinetic studies for MV adsorption showed rapid sorption dynamics described by a second‐order kinetic model, suggesting a chemisorption mechanism. Then, the experimental equilibrium data obtained at various concentrations of MV and adsorbent masses were fitted to conventional Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and Dubinin–Radushkevich isotherm models. Dye adsorption equilibrium data were fitted well to the Langmuir isotherm. From the Langmuir model, the maximum monolayer capacity was calculated to be 65.67 mg g?1 at optimum adsorbent mass.  相似文献

In this study, the potential application of copper nanowires loaded on activated carbon for simultaneous removal of Disulfine blue (DB), Crystal violet (CV) and Sunset yellow (SY) has been described. The relation between adsorption properties with variables such as solution pH, adsorbent value, contact time and initial dyes concentration was investigated and optimized. A three‐layer artificial neural network (ANN) model was utilized to predict dyes removal (%) by adsorbent following conduction of experiments. The training of network at above mention experimental data confirms its ability to forecast the removal performance with a linear transfer function (purelin) at output layer. The Levenberg–Marquardt algorithm and tangent sigmoid transfer function (tansig) with 16 neurons at the hidden layer was applied. Parameters were optimized by central composite design (CCD) combined with response surface methodology (RSM) and desirability function. The accuracy of ANN was judged according to both MSE and AAD% at optimal conditions and results indicate its superiority to RSM model in term of higher R2 and lower AAD% values. This observation was also corroborated by the parity plots between the predicted and experimental values. The ANN model was better in both data fitting and prediction capability in comparison to RSM model.  相似文献

In this work, MOF‐5 composited with Ag2O nanoparticles was prepared and characterized via X‐ray diffraction, field emission‐scanning electron microscopy, energy‐dispersive spectroscopy and FT‐IR analysis. This new material was subsequently employed for removing basic yellow dye [Auramine O (AO)] from aqueous solution under ultrasound irradiation. Several experiments were designed by central composite design in which operational parameters such as such as pH, MOF‐5‐Ag2O mass and initial concentration of AO involved in the process were optimized. The significance of individual parameters and their possible interactions were investigated using analysis of variance (anova ). The optimum values of 6, 0.025 g and 6 mg l?1 were obtained for the pH, MOF‐5‐Ag2O‐NPs mass and the initial concentrations of AO, respectively, with desirability of 1.0. At such conditions, the efficiency for the removal of AO was found to be 89.45%. Various isotherm models for fitting the experimental equilibrium data were studied, and it was found that the Langmuir model has the highest efficiency for correlation of experimental equilibrium data, so that the monolayer adsorption capacity of MOF‐5‐Ag2O for successful removal of AO was 260.70 mg g?1 at optimal conditions.  相似文献

An activity‐based approach to optimize the ultrasonic‐assisted extraction of antioxidants from Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae (Chenpi in Chinese) was developed. Response surface optimization based on a quantitative composition‐activity relationship model showed the relationships among product chemical composition, antioxidant activity of extract, and parameters of extraction process. Three parameters of ultrasonic‐assisted extraction, including the ethanol/water ratio, Chenpi amount, and alkaline amount, were investigated to give optimum extraction conditions for antioxidants of Chenpi: ethanol/water 70:30 v/v, Chenpi amount of 10 g, and alkaline amount of 28 mg. The experimental antioxidant yield under the optimum conditions was found to be 196.5 mg/g Chenpi, and the antioxidant activity was 2023.8 μmol Trolox equivalents/g of the Chenpi powder. The results agreed well with the second‐order polynomial regression model. This presented approach promised great application potentials in both food and pharmaceutical industries.  相似文献

Driven by the significant need for characterization of the chemical speciation of arsenic in food, this work developed a method for rapid determination of four common arsenic species, namely, arsenite, arsenate, monomethyl arsenic acid, and dimethyl arsenic acid, in vegetables using microwave‐assisted extraction, followed by detection with high‐performance liquid chromatography hyphenated to inductively coupled plasma‐mass spectrometry. Initial screening results showed that microwave‐assisted extraction using 1% HNO3 exhibited the highest overall efficiencies for all arsenic species without causing significant degradation of the organic ones. With the aid of response surface methodology, the optimum conditions established for extraction of arsenic species from vegetables were: 500 mg of freeze‐dried vegetable sample, extracted by closed vessel microwave‐assisted extraction using 10 mL of 2% v/v HNO3 at 90°C for 17 min. Application of the method in the analysis of 24 market vegetable samples indicates that the extraction efficiencies for total arsenic species were in the range of 91.4–106%. Arsenite and arsenate were found to be the predominant arsenic species in the vegetables, which suggests that vegetable consumption could be an important route of inorganic arsenic exposure for the population with a heavy vegetable diet in arsenic polluted regions.  相似文献

We report a study of the synthesis of nanoscale zero‐valent iron particles stabilized by sulfur/nitrogen dual‐doped reduced graphene oxide (i.e. nZVI@SN‐rGO) and their applications as major reactants for the dechlorination of carbon tetrachloride (CT) by combining sonolysis with consideration of several operation parameters such as pH, temperature, catalyst dosage, as well as in the presence of common inorganic anions. The experimental results showed that the modified technology could remain effective for up to 180 min of reaction time under optimal conditions. Especially, there was no significant reduction in the removal efficiency toward CT even after five cycles, which was indicative of good stability. A study of the effects of common inorganic anions revealed that the presence of Clˉ and HCO3ˉ exhibited different positive effects in the following order: Clˉ > HCO3ˉ; NO3ˉ and SO42ˉ showed inhibition effects on CT removal. The structure and properties of nZVI@SN‐rGO were characterized using X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, surface area analysis, Raman spectroscopy and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Additionally, the corresponding activation energy was approximately 31.04 kJ mol?1, suggesting that the surface chemical reaction rather than diffusion was the rate‐limiting step in the CT decomposition process. More importantly, the possible reaction mechanism and dechlorination pathway of CT using the ultrasound‐assisted nZVI@SN‐rGO system were also investigated.  相似文献

Anthocyanins (Acys), polyphenols, and antioxidants were extracted from raspberry (Rubus Coreanus Miq.) using a highly efficient microwave‐assisted extraction technique. Different solvents, including methanol, ethanol, and acetone, were tested. The colors of the extracts varied from light yellow to purple red or dark red. SEM and other nutrient analyses verified that ethanol was the most favorable medium for the microwave‐assisted extraction of raspberry due to its high output and low toxicity. Effects of process parameters, including microwave power, irradiation time, and solvent concentration, were investigated through response surface methodology. Canonical analysis estimated that the highest total Acys content, total polyphenols content, and antioxidant activity of raspberry were 17.93 mg cyanidin‐3‐O‐glucoside equivalents per gram dry weight, 38.57 mg gallic acid equivalents per gram dry weight, and 81.24%, respectively. The polyphenol compositions of raspberry extract were identified by HPLC with diode array detection, and nine kinds of polyphenols were identified and quantified, revealing that chlorogenic acid, syringic acid, and rutin are the major polyphenols contained in raspberry fruits. Compared with other fruits and vegetables, raspberry contains higher Acy and polyphenol contents with stronger antioxidant activity, suggesting that raspberry fruits are a good source of natural food colorants and antioxidants.  相似文献

The present study deals with the synthesis and characterization (FE‐SEM, particle size distribution, XRD and point of zero charge) SnO2/(NH4)2‐SnCl6 nanocomposites loaded on activated carbon (SnO2/(NH4)2‐SnCl6‐NCs‐AC) and its subsequent application for the simultaneous removal of Methylene Blue (MB) and Orange G (OG) from aqueous solution. Response surface methodology (RSM) based on central composite design (CCD) give trend of influencing responses with respect to five parameters such as contact time (X1), OG concentration (X2), MB concentration (X3), adsorbent mass (X4) and pH (X5). In later stage following recognition of significant variables and interaction, quadratic model generated which are able to predict the dyes removal in different conditions. Justification and selection of significant terms was conducted based on analysis of variance and Fisher's F‐test Optimal value of contact time, OG concentration, MB concentration, adsorbent mass and pH were set at 4.0 min, 10 mg l?1, 20 mg L?1, 0.015 g and 6.0, respectively, which lead to achievement of best experiment removal percentage of 97.0 and 99.5% OG and MB respectively, from their binary solutions. The whole experimental data follow pseudo‐first‐order and pseudo‐second‐order rate equations. The fitting experimental data to more available conventional model like Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and Dubinin‐Radushkevich isotherm models revel more ability of Langmuir model (with R2 > 0.997) for explanation of system in equilibrium. The adsorption efficiency remained high even after the five cycle of reuse (99.76% and 95.56% for MB and OG, respectively).  相似文献

A simple and green sodium dodecyl sulfate‐synergistic microwave‐assisted extraction method was developed to extract and determine the iridoids, phenylpropanoids, and lignans in Eucommiae Cortex followed by ultra‐high‐performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detection. The biodegradable solution (sodium dodecyl sulfate) was used as a promising alternative to organic solvents. The response surface methodology provided the optimum extraction conditions (2 mg/mL sodium dodecyl sulfate, 1100 W microwave power, and 6 min extraction time). The recoveries of three types of components ranged from 95.0 to 105% (RSDs < 5%). The intra‐ and inter‐day precision and accuracy were less than 3.40% and within the range of 97.1‐105%, respectively. Compared with other extraction methods, this newly established method was more efficient and environmental friendly. The results demonstrated that sodium dodecyl sulfate‐synergistic microwave‐assisted extraction followed by ultra‐high‐performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array method was applicable for the simultaneous extraction and determination of these three types of compounds for quality evaluation of Eucommiae Cortex.  相似文献

Simultaneous preconcentration and determination of auramine o (AO) and crystal violet (CV) dyes from aqueous solution was conducted by ultrasound assisted (dispersive) solid phase microextraction (UASPME) based on SnO2/SnS composite loaded activated carbon (SnO2/SnS‐NCs‐AC). The prepared of SnO2/SnS‐NCs‐AC was characterized by FESEM and XRD analysis. Main and interaction influences of operational parameters such as pH, sonication time, amounts of sorbent, and type of eluent on extraction efficiency were investigated by central composite design and optimized with desirability function approach (DFA). ANOVA was conducted and shows that optimized values were found at 15.33 min sonication time, 0.019 g SnO2/SnS‐NCs‐AC mass, pH 5.46 and among different solvents, dimethyl formamide was selected as an efficient eluent. Under this conditions recoverees percentage were obtained 82.85% and 86.70% for AO and CV, respectively. Based on F‐test under ANOVA all main effect and interaction effect of understudy parameters has the significant effect on the responses. At optimum conditions, limit of detection (0.0015 and 0.001 mg/l), limit of quantitation (0.4 and 0.4 mg/l), limit of linearity (9.0 and 9.0 mg/l), enrichment factor (33.48 and 83.71) and percent relative standard deviation (3.44 and 4.20) were found to be for auramine o and crystal violet dyes, respectively. Finally, the method was successfully applied for the preconcentration and determination of AO and CV in water samples and ER% of 89.0‐97.0 and 96.2–98.0% as acceptable range were found to be for AO and CV samples, respectively.  相似文献

By synthesizing a molecular imprinted polymer as an efficient adsorbent, ciprofloxacin was micro‐extracted from seawater, human blood plasma and tablet samples by pipette‐tip micro solid phase extraction and determined spectrophotometrically. Response surface methodology was applied with central composite design to build a model based on factors affecting on microextraction of ciprofloxacin; including volume of eluent solvent, number of extraction cycles, number of elution cycles, and pH of sample. Other factors that affect extraction efficiency, such as type of eluent solvent, volume of sample, type, and amount of salt were optimized with one‐variable‐at‐a‐time method. Under optimum extraction condition, pH of sample solution was 7.0, volume of eluent solvent (methanol) was 200 µL, volume of sample solution was 10 mL, and the number of extraction and elution cycles was five and seven, respectively, amount of Na2SO4 (as salt) and MIP (as sorbent) were optimized at 150 and 2 mg, respectively. The linear range of the suggested method under optimum extraction factors was 5–150 µg/L with a limit of detection of 1.50 µg/L for the analyte. Reproducibility of the method (as relative standard deviation) was better than 7%.  相似文献
