We study a system of nonlinear partial differential equations resulting from the traditional modelling of oil engineering within the framework of the mechanics of a continuous medium. Recent results on the problem provide existence, uniqueness and regularity of the optimal solution. Here we obtain the first necessary optimality conditions. Motivated by our recent works on optimality conditions in discrete optimal control problems under a nonconvex cost function, in this paper, we study second-order necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for a discrete optimal control problem with a nonconvex cost function and state-control constraints. By establishing an abstract result on second-order optimality conditions for a mathematical programming problem, we derive second-order necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for a discrete optimal control problem. Using a common critical cone for both the second-order necessary and sufficient optimality conditions, we obtain “no-gap” between second-order optimality conditions.  相似文献

This paper studies second-order optimality conditions for a semilinear elliptic optimal control problem with mixed pointwise constraints. We show that in some cases, there is a common critical cone under which the second-order necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for the problem are valid. Our results approach to a theory of no-gap second-order conditions. In order to obtain such results, we reduce the problem to a special mathematical programming problem with polyhedricity constraint set. We then use some tools of variational analysis and techniques of semilinear elliptic equations to analyze second-order conditions.  相似文献

We define a new class of optimal control problems and show that this class is the largest one of control problems where every admissible process that satisfies the Extended Pontryaguin Maximum Principle is an optimal solution of nonregular optimal control problems. In this class of problems the local and global minimum coincide. A dual problem is also proposed, which may be seen as a generalization of the Mond–Weir-type dual problem, and it is shown that the 2-invexity notion is a necessary and su?cient condition to establish weak, strong, and converse duality results between a nonregular optimal control problem and its dual problem. We also present an example to illustrate our results.  相似文献

Let a trajectory and control pair maximize globally the functional g(x(T)) in the basic optimal control problem. Then (evidently) any pair (x,u) from the level set of the functional g corresponding to the value g( (T)) is also globally optimal and satisfies the Pontryagin maximum principle. It is shown that this necessary condition for global optimality of turns out to be a sufficient one under the additional assumption of nondegeneracy of the maximum principle for every pair (x,u) from the above-mentioned level set. In particular, if the pair satisfies the Pontryagin maximum principle which is nondegenerate in the sense that for the Hamiltonian H, we have along the pair on [0,T], and if there is no another pair (x,u) such that g(x(T))=g( (T)), then is a global maximizer.  相似文献

We consider an optimization problem for a linear controlled system with a bilinearmodular functional containing a penalty-type parameter. We formulate sufficient optimality conditions on the base of the notion of a strongly extremal control. The obtained results are presented as inequalities with respect to scalar functions, where the dependence on parameters of the problem is explicit. We adduce some illustrative examples.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a survey and refinement of our recent results in the discrete optimal control theory. For a general nonlinear discrete optimal control problem (P) , second order necessary and sufficient optimality conditions are derived via the nonnegativity ( I S 0) and positivity ( I >0) of the discrete quadratic functional I corresponding to its second variation. Thus, we fill the gap in the discrete-time theory by connecting the discrete control problems with the theory of conjugate intervals, Hamiltonian systems, and Riccati equations. Necessary conditions for I S 0 are formulated in terms of the positivity of certain partial discrete quadratic functionals, the nonexistence of conjugate intervals, the existence of conjoined bases of the associated linear Hamiltonian system, and the existence of solutions to Riccati matrix equations. Natural strengthening of each of these conditions yields a characterization of the positivity of I and hence, sufficiency criteria for the original problem (P) . Finally, open problems and perspectives are also discussed.  相似文献

A family of parametric linear-quadratic optimal control problems is considered. The problems are subject to state constraints. It is shown that if weak second-order sufficient optimality conditions and standard constraint qualifications are satisfied at the reference point, then, for small perturbations of the parameter, there exists a locally unique stationary point, corresponding to a solution. This point is a Lipschitz continuous function of the parameter.  相似文献

It is well-known in optimal control theory that the maximum principle, in general, furnishes only necessary optimality conditions for an admissible process to be an optimal one. It is also well-known that if a process satisfies the maximum principle in a problem with convex data, the maximum principle turns to be likewise a sufficient condition. Here an invexity type condition for state constrained optimal control problems is defined and shown to be a sufficient optimality condition. Further, it is demonstrated that all optimal control problems where all extremal processes are optimal necessarily obey this invexity condition. Thus optimal control problems which satisfy such a condition constitute the most general class of problems where the maximum principle becomes automatically a set of sufficient optimality conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we provide a simple proof of the maximum principle for a nonsmooth discrete-time optimal control problem. The methodology is general and encompasses all generalized derivatives for which the Lagrange multiplier rule and the chain rule hold. This includes, but is not limited to, limiting (Mordukhovich) and Michel–Penot subdifferentials.  相似文献

This paper develops boundary integral representation formulas for the second variations of cost functionals for elliptic domain optimization problems. From the collection of all Lipschitz domains Ω which satisfy a constraint Ω g(x) dx=1, a domain is sought which maximizes either , fixed x 0∈Ω, or ℱ(Ω)= Ω F(x,u(x)) dx, where u solves the Dirichlet problem Δu(x)=−f(x), x∈Ω, u(x)=0, xΩ. Necessary and sufficient conditions for local optimality are presented in terms of the first and second variations of the cost functionals and ℱ. The second variations are computed with respect to domain variations which preserve the constraint. After first summarizing known facts about the first variations of u and the cost functionals, a series of formulas relating various second variations of these quantities are derived. Calculating the second variations depends on finding first variations of solutions u when the data f are permitted to depend on the domain Ω.  相似文献

We study the problem of optimally controlling the solution of the obstacle problem in a domain perforated by small periodically distributed holes. The solution is controlled by the choice of a perforated obstacle which is to be chosen in such a fashion that the solution is close to a given profile and the obstacle is not too irregular. We prove existence, uniqueness and stability of an optimal obstacle and derive necessary and sufficient conditions for optimality. When the number of holes increase indefinitely we determine the limit of the sequence of optimal obstacles and solutions. This limit depends strongly on the rate at which the size of the holes shrink.  相似文献

In this paper we study an optimal control problem with nonsmooth mixed state and control constraints. In most of the existing results, the necessary optimality condition for optimal control problems with mixed state and control constraints are derived under the Mangasarian-Fromovitz condition and under the assumption that the state and control constraint functions are smooth. In this paper we derive necessary optimality conditions for problems with nonsmooth mixed state and control constraints under constraint qualifications based on pseudo-Lipschitz continuity and calmness of certain set-valued maps. The necessary conditions are stratified, in the sense that they are asserted on precisely the domain upon which the hypotheses (and the optimality) are assumed to hold. Moreover necessary optimality conditions with an Euler inclusion taking an explicit multiplier form are derived for certain cases.  相似文献

We study the minimum time optimal control problem for a nonlinear system in R n with a general target. Necessary and sufficient optimality conditions are obtained. In particular, we describe a class of costates that are included in the superdifferential of the minimum time function, even in the case when this function is only lower semicontinuous. Two set-valued maps are constructed to provide time optimal synthesis.  相似文献

We propose a domain embedding method to solve second order elliptic problems in arbitrary two-dimensional domains. The method is based on formulating the problem as an optimal distributed control problem inside a disc in which the arbitrary domain is embedded. The optimal distributed control problem inside the disc is solved rapidly using a fast algorithm developed by Daripa et al. [3,7,10–12]. The arbitrary domains can be simply or multiply connected and the proposed method can be applied, in principle, to a large number of elliptic problems. Numerical results obtained for Dirichlet problems associated with the Poisson equation in simply and multiply connected domains are presented. The computed solutions are found to be in good agreement with the exact solutions with moderate number of grid points in the domain.  相似文献
