High-spin states in 78Kr have been studied via the 63Cu (19F, 2p2n)78Kr reaction at a beam energy of 60 MeV using the Indian National Gamma Array (INGA). In this nucleus, lifetimes have been measured upto the Iπ=22+ level in the yrast positive-parity band and upto the Iπ=15- level in the negative-parity band using the Doppler Shift Attenuation Method (DSAM). The deduced transition quadrupole moments Qt's are found to decrease with rotational frequency for both the bands.  相似文献

The decay out of the πh 11/2νh 11/2 band to the known low-energy levels in 132La was studied using the reaction 100Mo + 36S at 160 MeV beam energy. The low-energy level scheme has been further developed and unambiguous spin and parity values have been assigned to the levels connecting the band to the 6- isomeric state. According to the new level scheme the spins in the πh 11/2νh 11/2 band are shifted up by one unit compared to the earlier tentative experimental values. The obtained new spins prove the existence of signature inversion in 132La and give further support to the spin assignments made for the πh 11/2νh 11/2 bands in the neighbouring odd-odd La isotopes from level energy systematics. The fusion evaporation reaction 122Sn(14N, 4n)132La was used to populate the high-spin states of 132La at the beam energy of 60 MeV. A new band consisting of mostly E2 transitions has been discovered. This band has the interesting links to the ground state 2- and the isomeric state 6-. A new transition of energy 351 keV connecting the low-spin states of the positive-parity band based on the πh 11/2 ⊗ νh 11/2 particle configuration, has been found. This has played a very important role in resolving the existing ambiguities and inconsistencies in the spin assignment of the band head. A simple model is applied to the yrast and yrare states based on the νh 11/2 ⊗ πh 11/2 configuration in the doubly-odd nuclei around the mass 130. In the model, the basis state is constructed by one neutron and one proton both in the 0h 11/2 orbital, and by the collective core which couples with the two particles through a quadrupole interaction. The model reproduces quite well the overall energy levels and the electromagnetic transitions. The analysis of the yrast and yrare states reveals that the angular-momentum configuration of the neutron and the proton in the yrast states is different from that in the yrare states, when the two particles are weakly coupled with the quadrupole collective excitations of the core. The strong even-odd staggering of the ratios B(M1;II - 1)/B(E2;II - 2) for the yrast states is described by the chopsticks-like motion of two angular momenta of the neutron and the proton.  相似文献

High-spin states of 160Lu have been studied through the 144Sm( 19F, 3n) reaction. The previously known πh 11/2⊗υi 13/2 yrast band is extended from I π = 21- to 25- and a four quasiparticle band with configuration πh 11/2[523]7/2 -⊗υh 9/2[521]3/2 -⊗ (υi 13/2)2 is reported. High-spin states in the 135Ba nucleus have been studied with the reaction 130Te(9Be, 4n) at a beam energy of 45 MeV. The level scheme based on the h 11/2 isomer has been expanded with spins up to 35/2 ℏ. At low spins, the yrast collective structure built on the ν h 11/2 -1 multiplet may show a transitional shape with γ > 30° according to the systematical behavior observed in neighboring nuclei as well as the calculations of the triaxial rotor-plus-particle model. The configurations for several high-spin states have been discussed from a systematical comparison with neighboring isotones.  相似文献

Excited states in 188Tl have been studied experimentally using the 157Gd (35Cl, 4n) reaction at a beam energy of 170MeV. A rotational band built on the πh 9/2 ⊗ νi 13/2 configuration with oblate deformation has been established for 188Tl. Based on the structure systematics of the oblate πh 9/2 ⊗ νi 13/2 bands in the heavier odd-odd Tl nuclei, we have tentatively proposed spin values for the new band in 188Tl. The πh 9/2 ⊗ νi 13/2 oblate band in 188Tl shows low-spin signature inversion, and it can be interpreted qualitatively by the two-quasiparticle plus rotor model including a J-dependent p-n residual interaction.  相似文献

High-spin states in 171Ta were populated through the heavy-ion fusion-evaporation reaction 157Gd (19F, 5n)171Ta at 105MeV beam energy. Lifetimes of the levels of the πh9/21/2[541] band have been measured by using the Doppler shift attenuation method. The transition quadrupole moments ( Qt) and the quadrupole deformation (β2) have been extracted. Both β2 and Qt values decrease slightly with increasing rotational frequency. The average β2 value of 0.26 is 18% larger than that of the πh11/2 9/2[514] band. Total Routhian Surface calculations have been performed with the non-axial deformed Woods-Saxon potential and the predicted values of the quadrupole deformation β2 are in good agreement with that deduced from our lifetime measurement. The shape-driving effect is discussed.  相似文献

The band structures built on the 5- isomeric state ( T 1/2 = 3.46 m) in the doubly odd 130Cs nucleus have been established up to I = 24? via the 124Sn(11B, 5n)130Cs reaction. The previously observed bands based on the πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2, πg 7/2⊗νh 11/2 and πd 5/2⊗νh 11/2 configurations and a positive-parity side band with multiple connections to the α = 0 signature partner of the yrast πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2 band have been extended to higher spins. A new band based on the πh 11/2⊗νg 7/2 configuration is observed. The yrast πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2 band exhibits anomalous signature splitting whose magnitude decreases up to spin 15 and then increases without restoring the normal signature splitting. γ -ray transitions in the neutron-deficient nuclei 190, 197Po have been identified using the JUROGAM Ge detector array coupled to the RITU gas-filled separator and the GREAT spectrometer. The yrast band of 190Po has been firmly established through γ -γ coincidences and extended up to a spin and parity of 14+. It displays similar behaviour to its isotones 186Hg and 188Pb above the 4+ level, thus confirming its prolate nature. In 197Po the band built upon the 13/2+ isomer has been extended up to a spin and parity of 33/2+, while the non-yrast band has been observed for the first time. The behaviour of 197Po is found to be similar to that of the nearby even-mass isotopes, which is consistent with the model in which the i 13/2 neutron is weakly coupled to the states in the even-even core.  相似文献

Gamma rays from excited states of 190Po have been observed using the Jurosphere Ge-detector array coupled to the RITU gas-filled separator. They were associated with a collective band which from spin 4 onwards resembles the prolate rotational bands known in the isotones 188Pb and 186Hg. This indicates that in 190Po the prolate configuration becomes yrast above I = 2. The experimental results are interpreted in a two-band mixing calculation and are in agreement with α-decay data and potential energy surface calculations. The collective band structures of the 125Cs nucleus have been investigated by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques following the 110Pd ( 19F, 4n) reaction at 75MeV. The previously known level scheme, with rotational bands built on πg7/2, πg9/2 and πh11/2 orbitals, has been extended and evolves into bands involving rotationally aligned ν(h11/2)2 and π(h11/2)2 quasiparticles. A strongly coupled band has been reassigned a high-K πh11/2 ⊗ νg7/2 ⊗ νh11/2 three-quasiparticle configuration and a new side band likely to be its chiral partner has been identified. Configurations assigned to various bands are discussed in the framework of Principal/Tilted Axis Cranking (PAC/TAC) model calculations.  相似文献

The fragmentation of a 550MeV/u primary beam of 58Ni on a 9Be target has been used to measure time- and energy-correlated γ decays following the implantation of event-by-event discriminated secondary fragments into a 9Be stopper plate. A new isomeric γ decay with T 1/2 = 14( ) ns and E γ = 646.2(2) keV is observed and attributed to the decay of the yrast 3/2- state in 53 27Co26 . This short-lived isomeric state has been populated by means of nuclear reactions during the stopping process of the secondary fragments. The experimental findings are discussed in the framework of large-scale spherical shell model calculations in conjunction with isospin symmetry-breaking residual interactions for the A = 53 , T z = ±1/2 mirror nuclei 53Co and 53Fe .  相似文献

High-spin states of 157Dy were investigated using in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy techniques with a 150Nd(12C, 5n) reaction. Three rotational bands with the h 9/2, i 13/2 and h 11/2 configurations were observed up to (43/2-), 53/2+ and 45/2-, respectively. Interband M1 transitions in the h 11/2 (high-Ω) band were also measured up to the highest-spin state. The high-spin states were well reproduced by calculations using the tilted-axis-cranking model (TAC). The B(M1)/B(E2) ratio, Routhian and the tilted angle of the angular-momentum vector are found to be in good agreement with the result of the TAC calculation. High-spin states of 155Gd were populated by using the 154Sm(α,3nγ)155Gd reaction at E α= 33 MeV. γ-γ coincidence, E γ singles, excitation function, and the DCO ratios were measured. we have identified three intermediate bands with ΔI= 2 feeding the positive yrast band. The bands are interpreted as such candidate bands that are mixed with the negative-parity ground state band. This observation can provide a plausible explanation for unusually large population of the positive-parity yrast band observed in a recent Coulomb excitation. Received: 2 November 1999  相似文献

High-Spin states of odd-odd 166Lu were populated using the 139La(30Si,3nγ)166Lu at a beam energy of 120 MeV. Twelve new γ-rays were placed on top of the previously known two rotational bands built upon πg 7/2νi 13/2 and πh 11/2νi 13/2. Extending high-spin states up to 21+ and 25 for each band, we have observed the onset of band crossing near ħω c ≈ 0.35 MeV. The band crossing frequency of the yrast πh 11/2νi 13/2 band is consistent with the neutron BC band crossing observed in lighter odd-odd Lu isotopes.  相似文献

Cluster states up to 12 MeV in the stable light nucleus 21Ne, based on the 16O + n + α molecular configurations, have been populated in the incomplete-fusion reaction 16 8O(73Li, np)2110Ne at 29.4 MeV. The observation of both intra- and inter-band transitions leads to a re-interpretation of some levels in the Kπ = - and Kπ = - bands. The implications of this re-ordering on the octupole doublet bands are examined. The data allow a more accurate determination of some previously uncertain level energies. The “missing” Iπ = - level is also discussed.  相似文献

High spin states of 126La have been populated using the reaction 116Sn+14N at 68 MeV. γ-rays and conversion electrons were detected with the GAREL array. Multipolarities of the lowest-lying in-band dipole transitions have been determined from the deduced internal conversion coefficients. Experimental B(M1)/B(E2) ratios have been derived for the bands and compared with calculated values using the D?nau-Frauendorf geometrical model. Configurations are proposed for the bands comparing them with cranked shell model calculations and on the basis of the measured B(M1)/B(E2) ratios. The β-decay of 126La has also been revisited. The population of the 126Ba levels gives a probable spin value of five for the decaying high-spin 126La state with T 1/2≈ 64 s which may indicate a signature inversion in the πh11/2νh11/2 band. The 87Kr nucleus has been produced as fission fragment in the fusion reaction 18O + 208Pb at 85MeV bombarding energy and studied with the Euroball IV array. High-spin states of this neutron-rich isotope have been identified for the first time. Its level scheme has been obtained up to 6.3MeV excitation energy and spin I ∼ 23/2ℏ. Its structure is interpreted by analogy with those of the heavier isotones. The proposed configurations involve both proton and neutron excitations from several sub-shells located close to the Fermi levels, particularly νd5/2, πp3/2f5/2 and πg9/2. Moreover, a revised spin value of 5/2- for the 87Br ground state is proposed.  相似文献

The 106, 108Rh and 110, 112Ag nuclei have been produced as fission fragments following the fusion reaction 28Si + 176Yb at 145 MeV bombarding energy and studied with the Eurogam2 array. The yrast high-spin states of these four odd-odd nuclei, which are observed for the first time, consist of rotational bands in which the odd proton occupies the πg 9/2 subshell and the odd neutron the νh 11/2 subshell. Their behaviour as a function of spin values does not vary with the number of neutrons: as observed in the odd-N neighbouring nuclei, the motion of the odd neutron remains decoupled from the motion of the core, from N = 61 to N = 65. Moreover, the staggering observed in the yrast bands of odd-odd isotopes is strongly reduced as compared to the large values displayed by the rotational bands built on the πg 9/2 subshell in the odd-A Rh and Ag isotopes. The results of particle-rotor calculations indicate that this reduction is related to a change of the core deformation.
