The radiative decay B-->phi K gamma is observed for the first time. The branching fraction for the charged B--->phi K- gamma decay mode is measured to be B(B--->phi K- gamma)=(3.4+/-0.9+/-0.4)x10(-6). The photon energy distribution for the B--->phi K- gamma decay is presented. The signal for the neutral B(0)-->phi K(0)gamma decay mode is not statistically significant and an upper limit, B(B(0)-->phi K(0)gamma)<8.3x10(-6) at 90% C.L., is set. The analysis is based on a data set of 90 fb(-1) collected by the Belle experiment at the e(+)e(-) asymmetric collider KEKB.

Electromagnetic masses of neutral K *(892) may be larger than one of charged K *(892). It is unusual and is called K *-EM-mass anomaly. We review the studies on this issue, and point out that K *-mass splitting can be measured in BES accurately. 相似文献

We search for the factorization-suppressed decays B-->chi(c0)K(*) and B-->chi(c2)K(*), with chi(c0) and chi(c2) decaying into J/psi gamma, using a sample of 124 x 10(6) BB events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage ring of the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. We find no significant signal and set upper bounds for the branching fractions. 相似文献

Belle Collaboration reported a new observed value of K*-(892) mass by studying τ- → Ksπ-γτ decay, which is significantly different from the current world average value given by Particle Data Group 2006.Motivated by this new data, we revisit the issue on the K*0(892)-K*±(892) mass splitting. Our theoreticalestimation favors the new measurement by Belle Collaboration. Therefore further experimental efforts are urgently needed to improve our understanding of these issues. 相似文献

We report measurements of branching fractions for charged and neutral B-->eta(c)K decays where the eta(c) meson is reconstructed in the K(0)(S)K+/-pi(-/+), K+K-pi(0), K(*0)K-pi(+), and pp; decay channels. The neutral B0 channel is a CP eigenstate and can be used to measure the CP violation parameter sin(2phi(1). We also report the first observation of the B0-->eta(c)K(*0) mode. The results are based on an analysis of 29.1 fb(-1) of data collected by the Belle detector at KEKB. 相似文献

We present results from a search for the flavor-changing neutral current decays B-->Kl(+)l(-) and B-->K(*)l(+)l(-), where l(+)l(-) is either an e(+)e(-) or mu(+)mu(-) pair. The data sample comprises 22.7 x 10(6) Upsilon(4S)-->B(-)B decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II B Factory. We obtain the 90% C.L. upper limits B(B-->Kl(+)l(-))<0.51 x 10(-6) and B(B-->K(*)l(+)l(-))<3.1 x 10(-6), close to standard model predictions for these branching fractions. We have also obtained limits on the lepton-family-violating decays B-->Ke+/-mu(-/+) and B-->K(*)e(+/-)mu(-/+). 相似文献

The measured B-->pipi,piK branching ratios (BRs) exhibit puzzling patterns. We point out that the B-->pipi hierarchy can be nicely accommodated in the standard model (SM) through nonfactorizable hadronic interference effects, whereas the B-->piK system may indicate new physics (NP) in the electroweak (EW) penguin sector. Using the B-->pipi data and the SU(3) flavor symmetry, we fix the hadronic B-->piK parameters and show that any currently observed feature of the B-->piK system can be easily explained through enhanced EW penguin diagrams with a large CP-violating NP phase. This in turn implies in particular an enhancement of the K(L)-->pi(0)nunu rate by 1 order of magnitude, with BR(K(L)-->pi(0)nunu) approximately 4BR(K+-->pi(+)nunu), BR(K(L)-->pi(0)e(+)e(-))=O(10(-10)), and (sin(2beta)(pinunu)<0. We address also other rare K and B decays and B(d)-->phiK(S). 相似文献

Electromagnetic mass difference between neutral K* and charged K* has been calculated in the U(3)L×U(3)R chiral field theory of mesons. It has been revealed that the on-Abelian gauge structure of the massive Yang-Mills Lagrangian obeyed by K* plus VMD (vector meson dominance) causes the EM-mass of neutral one larger than charged one. Experiment supports this anomaly effect. 相似文献

We have observed the decays B--> phiK and phiK(*) in a sample of over 45 million B mesons collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II collider. The measured branching fractions are B(B+--> phiK+) = (7.7(+1.6)(-1.4)+/-0.8)x10(-6), B(B0--> phiK0) = (8.1(+3.1)(-2.5)+/-0.8)x10(-6), B(B+--> phiK(*+)) = (9.7(+4.2)(-3.4)+/-1.7)x10(-6), and B(B0--> phiK(*0)) = (8.7(+2.5)(-2.1)+/-1.1)x10(-6). We also report the upper limit B(B+--> phipi(+))<1.4x10(-6) ( 90% C.L.). 相似文献

According to the new K*(892)0 and K*(892)- masses reported by the BELLE experiment and the K*(892)0 mass reported by the FOCUS experiment, mass splitting between neutral and charged K*(892) becomes very small. This is significantly different from the current world average values given by the Particle Data Group 2008. We find that there are differences between models used to fit the K*(892) decay invariant mass spectra in different measurements and study the model dependence in the measurement of K*(892) parameters. We refit the K*(892)0 mass spectra of the BELLE and FOCUS experiments with the formula used by BELLE in fitting K*(892)- to get new mass and width. After refitting, the K*(892)0 mass of the BELLE experiment becomes 1.4 MeV/c2 larger than the initial value and that of the FOCUS experiment is 1 MeV/c2 smaller than the initial value. We also fit the spectra of some other experiments to extract the K*(892) parameters using the BELLE K* (892)- parametrization. 相似文献
