Neutron total cross sections of 92Mo, 96Mo, 98Mo and 100Mo were measured at intervals of ? 10 keV from 1.6 to 5.5 MeV with resolutions of ≈ 10 keV. Neutron elastic and inelastic scattering cross sections of these isotopes were measured from 1.8 to 4.0 MeV at intervals of 0.2 MeV. Neutron groups corresponding to the excitation of forty states were identified. The experimental results were examined in the context of optical and statistical nuclear models. It was concluded that the real part of the optical potential includes a term proportional to [(N-Z)/A] and suggested that the imaginary part of the potential was shell dependent with decreasing magnitude as N = 50 is approached. Comparison of measured and calculated inelastic neutron excitation cross sections suggested a number of Jπ assignments extending previous knowledge. 相似文献

Cross sections for74, 76, 77, 78Se(n, p)74, 76, 77, 78As,76,Se(n,2n)75Se and80Se(n, α)77,Ge reactions have been measured in the energy range from 13.0 to 16.6 MeV by the activation technique using Ge(Li) detectorγ-ray spectroscopy. Samples of selenium of natural isotopic composition were used as targets. The measurements provide information on the evolution of the (n, p) excitation functions with the increasing target neutron number (isotopic effect). The reaction model combining the compound nucleus and the preequilibrium emission processes is used to interpret these three types of reactions. The isotopic trend for the (n, p) reactions due to the neutron-proton competition in the compound nucleus is satisfactorily reproduced. However, a further experimental and theoretical work is needed for a better understanding of the origins of discrepancies which are suggested to be related to the precompound aspects of the assumed reaction model. 相似文献

Neutron elastic scattering data in the range A > 16, 7 < E < 30 MeV are analyzed using a standard local optical model potential. The obtained parameters are compared with similar optical model parameters derived from proton elastic scattering. Quadrupole excitations of even-even Ru and Pd isotopes are described within a microscopic approach based on the general collective Bohr model which includes the effect of coupling with the pairing vibrations. The excitation energies and E2 transition probabilities observed in 104–114Ru and 106–110Pd are reproduced in the frame of the calculation containing no free parameters. Particularly interesting are 104Ru and 106–110Pd where good agreement to very rich information based on Coulomb excitation experiments is achieved. 相似文献

On the basis of an analysis of experimental data, it is shown that a subthreshold (negative) p-wave resonance can exist in the 204Pb isotope at E p =?16 eV. The presence of this resonance may explain unexpectedly large values observed experimentally for the P-odd angle of the rotation of the spin of transversely polarized neutrons about their momentum that are scattered on a natural mixture of lead isotopes. No available data are at odds with the existence of the E p =?16 eV subthreshold resonance in 204Pb. 相似文献

The Bloch and Gillet shell-model formalism extended to continuum states is applied to lowenergy neutron scattering by nuclei. It is shown that complete antisymmetrization leads in the r-representation to corrective terms which yield important corrections to the scattering lengths. Calculations are performed within a model restricted configuration space for the target nuclei 12C, 13C, 16O, 17O and 40Ca. We predict values for the spin-dependent scattering amplitude for 13C and 17O. The antisymmetrization problem in the case of a large configuration mixing is studied for the 19F target nucleus. The resonant effects of the compound nucleus are then very important and the results become very sensitive to the configuration space and the interaction parameters. 相似文献

Coherent neutron scattering lengths and total cross sections have been measured for barium compounds and on isotopically enriched samples for neutron energies from 0.5 meV up to 132 eV using different techniques. From the experimental data the following quantities were obtained: the coherent scattering lengths (in fm) of Ba (5.07±0.03) and of the isotopes with mass numbers 130 (?3.6±0.6); 132 (7.8±0.3); 134 (5.7±0.1); 135 (4.66±0.10); 136 (4.90 ±0.08); 137 (6.82±0.10); and 138 (4.83±0.08). the absorption cross sections σγ (at 0.025 eV in barn): of Ba (1.1±0.1) and of the isotopes: 130 (30±5); 136 (0.68±0.17); 137 (3.6±0.2); and 138 (0.27±0.14). zero-energy scattering cross sections for Ba and the isotopes 136, 137 and 138. On the basis of these data, the isotopic- and spin-incoherent cross sections and the (s)-resonance contributions to the coherent scattering lengths have been determined and discussed. 相似文献

Collective properties of neutron-rich Ru, Pd, and Cd isotopes are reviewed, combining the original results from the IGISOL β-decay experiments with recent experimental and theoretical progress. The transitional nature of Ru and Pd nuclei is discussed via the low-lying level systematics, including the low-lying 0?+? states. Although the role of an anharmonic quadrupole vibrator in Cd nuclei was recently questioned, level systematics for the three-phonon quintuplet in 116,118,120Cd are presented, and an outlook of the spectroscopic methods for the level lifetime or B(E2) values is given. 相似文献

Neutron-rich isotopes of palladium were produced via the fission of238U by 20 MeV protons. These isotopes were selected using the ion guide-fed on-line mass-separator facility IGISOL at Jyväskylä. Their decays were studied byβ-ray,γ-ray and conversion-electron spectroscopy. For114Pd and116Pd, the decay schemes established previously were confirmed; additionally multipolarities were determined for a few transitions. In the case of118Pd, only an approximate half-life was known from a previous radiochemical experiment. In the present study, 15 gamma transitions were observed, most of which were placed in a decay scheme. The half-life and the decay energy were found to beT 1/2=1.9±0.1 s andQ β=4.0±0.2 MeV. The decay schemes of114Pd,116Pd and118Pd include — respectively — two, two and four 0+→1+ Gamow-Teller beta transitions with logft values between 4.1 and 5.1. The strength of these transitions is discussed in terms of the extreme single particle shell model with pairing and the spherical proton-neutron quasiparticle random phase approximation. The possible role of deformation is considered using a shell correction method. Predictions for the decay properties of the as yet unobserved120Pd are given. 相似文献

Angular distributions of the elastic scattering of 28Si on 29Si and 30Si have been measured for incident beam energies at E = 65 and 70 MeV with a time-of-flight spectrometer for heavy ions. At 70 MeV the neutron transfer 30Si(28Si, 29Si)29Si was observed in addition to the elastic channel. The pronounced oscillations in the elastic scattering distributions are interpreted as being due to an elastic transfer of neutrons between the colliding nuclei during the scattering process. This assumption is in accordance with some general features of the data and allows for the extraction of spectroscopic factors of the transferred neutrons. 相似文献

By means of the Cristiansen filter method we measured on filters containing powder, filings or wires of silver or powder of indium oxide the coherent scattering lengths for the bound atoms of the following isotopes:b(107Ag)=7.64±0.04 fm,b(109Ag)=4.19±0.03 fmb(nat.Ag)=5.97±0.01 fm,b(113In)=5.39±0.06 fmb(115In)=4.00±0.03 fm andb(nat.In)=4.065±0.020 fm. From these values and taking account of incoherent and resonance data we deduced values for the fundamental spin state scattering lengths and incoherent cross sections. These zero energy scattering parameters and the resonance parameters for silver are consistent if bound levels of108Ag and110Ag are assumed. The cross sections for (n,x) reactions with Ge isotopes were measured at (d–t) neutron energies around 14 MeV with the activation technique using metal discs of natural composition. Calculations of detector efficiency, incident neutron spectrum and correction factors were performed with the Monte Carlo technique (MCNP4C code). Cross sections data are presented for 70Ge(n,2n)69Ge, 74Ge(n,α)71mZn, 76Ge(n,2n)75(m + g)Ge, 70Ge(n,p)70Ga and 72Ge(n,2n)71gGe reactions. The cross section results for 72Ge(n,2n)71gGe reaction were reported for the first time. Some other cross sections were obtained with higher precision, including the 70Ge(n,p)70Ga reaction. Theoretical calculations of excitation functions were performed with the TALYS-1.0 code and compared with the experimental cross section values. Data were included in the EXFOR database. 相似文献

Differential cross sections for the Fe(n, n), (n, n′), (n, n′γ) reactions were measured at incident energies between 1.43 and 2.15 MeV. Structure with intermediate widths was observed. The result was analysed by the doorway-state model, and the widths of the assumed doorway states were obtained. The inelastic electron scattering cross sections for the excitation of the low-lying collective states in the even Zn isotopes 64Zn, 66Zn, 68Zn and 70Zn have been measured in the momentum transfer region q = 0.3–1.1 fm?1. Strong transitions to the first 2+ and 3? states have been observed and the modified Tassie model with a two parameter Fermi charge distribution for the ground state was used to extract the values for the reduced transition probability B↑ (Eλ). Besides the investigation of these states, which in the framework of the vibrational model are considered as one-phonon states, special effort was made to measure the transition to the 2+ two-phonon states in 64Zn (ε = 1.80 MeV) and 70Zn (ε = 1.76 MeV). We have applied the anharmonic vibrator model to these two nuclei and have extracted values for the static quadrupole moment of the first excited state. 相似文献
