推导了光子晶体光纤中声波微小位移波动方程; 研究了泵浦波长以及纤芯折射率对声波模式的影响; 应用石英圆柱模型研究了小芯径光子晶体光纤中纤芯直径对布里渊声波模式色散的影响. 结果表明在光子晶体光纤中, 纵向声波和横向声波共同作用产生质点声场, 两者相互耦合将产生混合声波模式; 可以通过改变泵浦波长或光子晶体光纤纤芯折射率来改变参与布里渊散射(BS) 过程的声波模式的传播常数; 随着光子晶体光纤(PCF) 纤芯直径的增大, 声波模式耦合程度得到加强, 相速度呈减小趋势, 且同一传播常数下, 声波模式数呈增多趋势; 随着泵浦波频率的增大, 声波相速度减小.  相似文献

 应用有限元方法求解了任意径向非均匀折射率分布园柱对称介质波导中纵向场耦合波动方程定解问题所对应的变分问题,该方法不受弱导或高斯模场分布等限制,可方便地求解光纤中介质波导的模场分布。用此方法研究了带阶跃环的三角型分段折射率分布光纤中归一化模场半径与芯层传输功率比值随光纤不同结构参数的变化规律。  相似文献

A numerical-based phase shift method is presented to study optical fibers having a dip in the refractive index profile at the center of the core. Mathematical expressions for the shape of multiple-beam Fizeau fringes crossing a graded-index optical fiber (GRIN) comprising a central graded-index dip or GRIN fiber with a constant refractive index dip, immersed in a silvered liquid wedge, are derived. The index profile parameters of the central dip are determined by comparing the theoretical fringe shape across the fiber cross-section and the experimental fringe shape obtained from micro-interferograms of the wedge interferometer.  相似文献

光纤结构设计、模间色散求解、光纤光栅模式耦合等问题的研究, 都需要对光纤纤芯及包层模的有效折射率进行精确计算. 本文以光纤三层结构模型为基础, 结合该模型下的模式本征方程, 使用截弦法求解了纤芯模有效折射率, 并将计算结果与COMSOL软件模拟的对应纤芯模的传输光场进行对比, 验证了计算结果正确.使用区间遍历算法对包层模有效折射率进行了求解, 与已有的传统方法相比, 该方法可以有效防止求解过程中根的遗漏、避免特征方程产生的奇点, 并能保证模式的正规性.本文采用Mathematica软件对求解过程进行仿真, 获得了纤芯模和包层模有效折射率与波长关系曲线. 关键词: 光纤传输模式 有效折射率 截弦法 区间遍历算法  相似文献

This paper presents an investigation of specific optical fiber core mode leakage behavior that occurs in high-power double-clad fiber lasers as a result of thermally-induced refractive index variations. A model of the power transfer between the core modes and the cladding modes during thermally-induced refractive index variations is established based on the mode coupling theory. The results of numerical simulations based on actual laser parameters are presented. Experimental measurements were also carried out, the results showed good agreement with the corresponding simulation results.  相似文献

在弱渐变假定下,研究了抛物型渐变光纤传导模式的截止频率对折射率参量的依赖关系。采用矢量场法,得到了在弱导条件下传导模式的特征方程和截止频率的近似计算公式。引入了介电比γ,它是由光纤三个折射率参量所确定的常数。在弱导近似的条件下,归一化截止频率仅与γ这一个变量有关,任一渐变抛物型光纤的实际截止频率可通过γ而由归一化截止频率简单求得,从而找到了渐变光纤的实际截止频率与归一化截止频率间的联系。给出了归一化截止频率随γ的变化曲线,归一化截止频率随γ的增加而单调上升,但HElm模截止频率的上升规律与其他模式不同。  相似文献

采用Matlab和Comsol建立单模光纤内激光传输模型,对双包层内光纤折射率和纤芯结构对光能量分布的影响进行了理论研究。系统分析了光纤芯径与数值孔径、归一化频率和功率填充因子的关系,依据得到的结果进一步采用多模物理耦合仿真方法对不同类型的单模双包层光纤纤芯的能量分布进行仿真,探索了不同折射率分布情况对纤芯能量分布的影响。计算和仿真结果表明:凹面折射率分布光纤的光斑模场面积最大,单位面积的功率分布最低。针对大功率光纤激光器的应用需求设计了工作波长为1.064 m、纤芯直径为10 m、凹面直径为8 m、数值孔径为0.12的单模凹面折射率双包层光纤,为提高光纤泵浦效率、降低纤芯的能量密度提供了思路。  相似文献

This paper discusses an alternative criterion for estimating the baseband transfer function of multimode optical fibers. The optical fibers having little mode conversions show that the baseband frequency characteristics are affected strongly by the launching condition of an input optical pulse. In the criterion presented here, the baseband transfer function in such fibers is estimated by considering the launching condition that excites all fiber modes uniformly in amplitudes. In order to obtain such a transfer function, the actual responses affected by the launching conditions are measured together with the modal power distributions for different kinds of launching conditions. A numerical procedure is then presented that enables us to derive the baseband transfer function independently of modal power distributions. Experimental results at λ x= 633 nm and 856 nm are presented for step index fibers (0.1 and 0.2 km long) having a core radius of 30 pm (its refractive index is 1.452) and a refractive index difference of 0.7%.  相似文献

本文求得了单模双包层光纤之间耦合系数精确的解析表达式.计算了上升内包层、匹配包层和凹陷内包层光纤耦合系数随归一化频率V的关系曲线.也给出了不同V值的耦合系数随归一化距离(D/α)的关系曲线.该公式不但能够计算x偏振模的耦合系数,而且也能计算y偏振模的耦合系数.它可用于分析折射率差较大的光纤之间能量耦合以及耦合器的偏振特性.  相似文献

Holey fibers (HFs) can be used as amplifier in optical communication systems. These new fiber structures have flexibility to change the fiber parameters such as refractive index of guided mode, air filling factor (AFF), V number, group velocity dispersion (GVD) and numerical aperture, only by the change of the hole size and air-hole spacing. In this paper we will use improved fully vectorial effective index method (IFEIM) to analyze the erbium doped holey fiber amplifier (EDHFA) with hexagonal unit cell. The range that core size can change in any air-hole spacing will determine and the growth of core size in the amplifier character such as maximum gain and optimum length will study. By determination of single mode region the effect of pump power and dopant concentration growth, on the amplifier parameter will define.  相似文献

为探究如何消除双芯光波导的模间色散,提出了一种纤芯填充高折射率溶液的双空芯光子晶体光纤,并基于全矢量有限元法进行了理论分析,获得了光纤的模式有效折射率、耦合系数、模间色散系数。研究结果表明:当纤芯所填充的溶液折射率为1.40时,光纤的y偏振方向上模间色散在800 nm传输波长处为零,理论上能够完全消除y偏振方向上模间色散导致的脉冲畸变。即,当传输光波长为800 nm时,这种光纤在y偏振方向上可以抑制模间色散,从而可以广泛用于全光开关、超短脉冲传输、光孤子传输等应用场合。  相似文献

Determination of the power distribution in step index plastic optical fibers by the power flow equation has been reported in the literature both with and without the simplifying assumption of constant coupling that is independent of the angle of light propagation. The need for this assumption is evaluated in this paper. Results with the angle-dependent coupling coefficient are compared to those derived under the simplifying assumption of constant coupling. Benchmarked to values measured experimentally, this comparison covered the coupling lengths Lc (denoting where the equilibrium mode distribution is achieved in the fiber) and lengths zs (for achieving the steady-state distribution). Results differ slightly but only for longer fiber lengths, thus largely vindicating the simplifying assumption of constant coupling.  相似文献

为了研究布拉格光纤的模式特征和传输特性,提出了超格子模型,利用傅里叶级数表示光纤横向折射率分布,利用平面波展开法分析布拉格光纤的能带结构,基于厄米-主斯函数的局域正交函数展开法,从全矢量耦合波动方程出发,得到关于模式传播常量和电场展开系数的本征方程,从而分析布拉格光纤的模式特征。以高折射率芯布拉格光纤为例,实现了该算法,得到基模与二次模的横向电场分布、基模色散曲线和模式双折射。基模的模式双折射可用于衡量算法的精度,结果表明该算法精度较高。超格子模型不仅可以用于研究高折射率芯布拉格光纤,而且同样可以研究低折射率区域导光的布拉格光纤。  相似文献

针对全光纤激光雷达中空间光场与单模光纤的耦合问题,设计了基于非球面透镜的望远镜光纤耦合系统.利用ZEMAX软件以单模光纤耦合效率为优化目标对其结构参量进行优化设计,然后分别用LED和激光器作为光源进行初步实验,比较直接耦合和非球面透镜耦合效果.实验结果表明,采用非球面透镜耦合可使多模光源的耦合效率比直接耦合增加约47%,与仿真结果45%非常接近,且不同芯径耦合光功率之比大略等于芯径比平方;而该耦合方式可使单模光源的耦合效率增加约20%,且耦合进不同小芯径光纤的耦合效率之比约为其芯径比平方的2.4倍,这对构建全光纤转动喇曼激光雷达系统具有重要意义.  相似文献

长周期光纤光栅是在光纤纤芯中沿轴向形成折射率周期性调制的带阻型光纤器件。与光纤布拉格光栅不同,它表现为前向传播的纤芯基模与同向传播的各阶次包层模式在特定波长的耦合。研究了纤芯基模、包层模式(HE1t/EH1t)及其有效折射率随波长的变化,研究了纤芯基模与包层模式(HE1t/EH1t)的耦合系数。研究表明,纤芯基模与一阶低次包层模式的有效折射率随波长增大而减小,纤芯基模与HE1t产生的耦合系数远大于与EH1t的耦合系数,并且包层模式次数较低时,耦合系数随次数的升高而增加。这与以前的研究结果有所不同。  相似文献

Fabrication of single-mode fiber coupler by heating fibers on a flame is very common and popular. However, controlling the input and the output power quantities of the fiber coupling process is neither easy nor similar. Power losses occur at the coupling length as the effect of the geometry and structure of fibers during and after fusion. In application, the power losses will affect sensor devices, e.g. optical switch. This paper proposes power splitting into the second fiber junction as a new model by deriving and integrating the coupling power with two conditions of refractive index changes. First is the change in the vertical part and second is the change in the vertical and the horizontal parts. Both conditions are studied by perpendicular and parallel directions of coupling power. The model is examined with a linear change of refractive index where power absorption and reflection are accumulated by power losses. The result shows that power increases as the effect of losses by simulation. These power losses are lost by radiation out of cladding and fiber heating.  相似文献

从理论上研究了波导耦合型刻蚀光纤布拉格反射器的特性。采用正交模式耦合理论描述其中的光栅辅助正反向模式耦合,用非正交模式耦合理论描述输入输出接口的模式激发,给出了分析耦合波导布格瓣反射器的角析表达式,分析表明刻光张布拉格反应器中存在三种布拉格反应,在频谱中表现为六个分立的反射峰,与实验结果相符,其反射率不仅决定事系数,还与其结构参数,尤其是Al2O3层的厚度,Al2O3层与光纤芯的距离以及匹配层折射  相似文献
