This paper presents a discretize-then-relax methodology to compute convex/concave bounds for the solutions of a wide class of parametric nonlinear ODEs. The procedure builds upon interval methods for ODEs and uses the McCormick relaxation technique to propagate convex/concave bounds. At each integration step, a two-phase procedure is applied: a priori convex/concave bounds that are valid over the entire step are calculated in the first phase; then, pointwise-in-time convex/concave bounds at the end of the step are obtained in the second phase. An approach that refines the interval state bounds by considering subgradients and affine relaxations at a number of reference parameter values is also presented. The discretize-then-relax method is implemented in an object-oriented manner and is demonstrated using several numerical examples.  相似文献

We consider here a type of pseudo-monotone parametric variational inequalities on a class of Banach spaces and show that such problems admit continuous (with respect to the parameter) solutions, as long as generic existence and uniqueness conditions for these solutions are satisfied. In particular, we show that such results are valid on a class of Banach spaces whenever we deal with strong pseudo-monotonicity, while others are valid in Hilbert spaces, whenever strict monotonicity is present. We also provide examples to illustrate the new results.  相似文献

This paper deals with the stability of the solution set to parametric generalized affine variational inequalities with constraint set being defined by finitely many convex quadratic functions. The obtained results develop and complement the published ones.  相似文献

Summary LetX andZ be d -valued solutions of the stochastic differential inequalities dX t a(t,X t )dt+(t,X t )dW t andb(t, Z t )dt+(t, Z t )dW t dZ t , respectively, with a fixed m -valued Wiener processW. In this paper we give conditions ona, b and under which the relationX 0Z 0 of the initial values leads to the same relation between the solutions with probability one. Further we discuss whether in general our conditions can be weakened or not. Then we deal with notions like maximal/minimal solution of a stochastic differential inequality. Using the comparison result we derive a sufficient condition for the existence of such solutions as well as some Gronwall-type estimates.  相似文献

In this paper, some nonlocal in time differential inequalities of Sobolev type are considered. Using the nonlinear capacity method, sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of nontrivial global classical solutions are provided.  相似文献

We first show that the closedness of the characteristic cone of the constraint system of a parametric robust linear optimization problem is a necessary and sufficient condition for each robust linear program with the finite optimal value to admit exact semidefinite linear programming relaxations. We then provide the weakest regularity condition that guarantees exact second-order cone programming relaxations for parametric robust linear programs.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to prove some new nonexistence theorems for the singular quasilinear differential inequalities with a gradient nonlinearity in bounded and unbounded domains. The proofs are based on the test function method developed by Mitidieri and Pohozaev.  相似文献

In the diskx 2+y 2R 2 of thex, y-plane we consider the differential inequalityz xxzyyz xy 2 –(1+z x /2 +z y /2 )k, where the constants >0 andk>1. In the case =1 andk=2 this inequality means that the surfacez(x, y) has Gaussian curvatureK1. Efimov has shown that in this case the radius of the disk has an upper bound. In the present article we establish an analogous upper bound for the radiusR of the disk in which the functionz(x, y) satisfies the differential inequality above.Translated from Ukrainskií Geometricheskií Sbornik, Issue 28, 1985, pp. 19–21.  相似文献

In this article, we investigate a hybrid model combined by a parabolic differential equation and a parabolic hemivariational inequality (so-called differential hemivariational inequality of parabolic–parabolic type) in general infinite dimensional spaces which includes the history-dependent operator. The solvability of initial value problems as well as the periodic problems of the hemivariational inequality and the differential hemivariational inequality have been proved. In application, we study a contact problem with normal compliance driven by a history-dependent dynamical system.  相似文献
