The half-lives of seven levels in105Mo have been determined with high precision at the fission-product separator Josef. The-- triple coincidence method with plastic and BaF2 scintillators was used for a determination of the time between the q feeding of a level of interest and its depopulation. A value of q =0.38 (1) for the deformation parameter has been deduced from the half-lives of the first and second excited states. The results of Particle-Rotor model-calculations with the Nilsson parameters=0.084 and=0.28 support the assignment of the Nilsson orbital [532] 5/2 to the ground state of105Mo.The authors acknowledge with pleasure fruitful discussions with Profs. The particle- angular correlation of the 2+0+ transition in148Nd, Coulomb excited by90Zr projectiles, was investigated to search for a transient electric field gradient expected to be present during the stopping of the recoils in208Pb. An upper limit of Vzz <>19V/cm2 was obtained for148Nd recoiling with initial velocities of 0.05 c.  相似文献

Several topics of relevance to low transverse momentum and 1,2(c ) production in polarized proton-proton collisions are discussed. The leadingO( S 3 ) contributions to the lowp T 1 production cross-sections viagg, qg, andq initial states are calculated as well as the corresponding spin-spin asymmetries. We find that 1 production increases relative to direct and 2 production, providing up to 25% of the observablee * e pairs arising from decays inpp collisions at s=500 GeV. The spin-dependence of 1 production, however, is much smaller than for either direct or 2 production and so will likely be far less useful than either process in probing the polarized gluon structure function of the proton. A subset of theO( S 3 ) radiative corrections to 2 production involving initial state quarks are also performed and compared to leading ordergg2 predictions.  相似文献

A mini transmission-ray Compton polarimeter was developed for the measurement of the sign of magnetic moments of radioactive nuclei with low-temperature nuclear orientation. Isotonic and isobaric dependencies of nuclear charge radii in the region between Z=54 and Z=70 are obtained from the analysis of isotope shift data r2 and muonic and electron scattering data on r2. They are compared with the predictions of the droplet model and the Hartree-Fock calculations. The isobaric dependencies of r2 have proven to be especially sensitive to the choice of an effective nucleon-nucleon interaction.  相似文献

Effective – luminosities are calculated for various realistic hadron collider scenarios. The main characteristics of photon-photon processes at relativistic heavy-ion colliders are established and compared to the corresponding –-luminosities ate +-e — and future photon linear colliders (PLC). Higher order corrections as well as inelastic processes are discussed. It is concluded that feasible high luminosity Ca–Ca collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are an interesting option for – physics up to about 100 GeV – CM energy.  相似文献

TheQ -values of101Rb,101,102Sr and101,102Y have been measured for the first time at the mass separator ISOLDE by means of-coincidence techniques with a plastic scintillation detector telescope and a large Ge(HP)-detector. For some of these nuclei, also new details of their decay schemes could be derived from the measured-decay properties. The experimental results are discussed, as far as the systematics of two-neutron separation energies derived from them is concerned. The systematics of-decay modes and radiative widths of highly excited states in28Si has been extended by taking-ray spectra on 60 resonances of the27Al(p,) reaction in the range 1097 keVE p 4492 keV (12643 keVE x 15915 keV) and on the24Mg(,) resonances atE =3355, 3431, 4003 keV (E x =12860, 12925, 13 415 keV). The-decay modes of levels in the sub-resonance region (E x =10–12.5 MeV) were studied with both the27 A1(p, ) reaction and the27 A1(d, n) reaction at Ed=4,5,6 MeV. Information on radiative widths of levels was obtained by measuring the resonance strengthsS =(2I+1) p / for 52 resonances of the27Al(p, ) reaction with an emphasis on prospective T=1 states.  相似文献

The emission of high-energy-rays in the deexcitation of hot40Ca and39K nuclei formed in heavy-ion fusion reactions at excitation energyE x 90 MeV has been studied. The high energy-rays were measured in coincidence with evaporation residues or light charged particles. The spectrum from the self-conjugated compound nucleus40Ca shows an appreciable yield suppression in the Giant Dipole Resonance (GDR) energy region with respect to the39K, due to isospin selection rules in the dipole-decay. The spectral line shapes of the spectra are well reproduced by using a statistical code which treats explicitly the isospin quantum number in evaluating level densities and transmission coefficients. The GDR parameters determined from the present coincidence measurements are in good agreement with the systematic in theA 40 mass region at lower bombarding energy based on the analysis of inclusive spectra.We thank M. The reactionppp f ( + )p s , where the + system is centrally produced, has been studied at 300 GeV/c. The + mass spectrum shows evidence for a 0 decay mode of the (958) andf 1 (1285). The branching ratio (f 1(1285) + +)/(f 1(1285) 0 ) is found to be 5.0±0.7. Reliable calculations of nuclear matrix elements are a prerequisite for the determination of the effective neutrino mass and other particle physics parameters from neutrinoless double beta decay. Here, the operator expansion method is improved by including Coulomb, tensor and central interactions simultaneously. Furthermore, the formalism of the OEM is extended to those matrix elements necessary to extract the right-handed parameters and from 0 decay. OEM includes the dependence of the nuclear matrix elements on the intermediate states implicitly and can therefore be understood as a step beyond the closure approximation. Numerical studies are carried out for the isotope76Ge combining the OEM expressions with ground-state wave functions calculated within a proton-neutron quasiparticle Random Phase Approximation (pn-QRPA) model. The influence and relative importance of central, tensor and Coulomb interactions is investigated. Within the OEM, contributions from the Coulomb force are found to be negligible in 0 decay, while the tensor force leads to a moderate change of the results, of the order of (10–30)%, giving a better agreement between sets of calculations which employ different NN-interactions. Generally, results of the OEM+QRPA calculation are similar to previous calculations of 0 decay matrix elements, indicating that 0 decay is not sensitive to model approximations and might therefore be more accurately calculated than the strongly suppressed 2 decay matrix elements.  相似文献

The most general angular decay distribution of the hadronic system in the decay of a polarized into one pseudoscalar plus a vector is calculated. Emphasis is put on decays ine + e experiments where the neutrino escapes detection and the restframe cannot be reconstructed. We propose a model for the decay intov involving both a vector- and a second class axial vector-current contribution. Then we present numerical results for this decay channel.  相似文献

Nuclearg-factors of the 1229 keV 13+/2 and 2911 keV 21+/2 level and the half-life of the 1229 keV level have been measured to beg(1229)=0.058(5),g(2911)=0.69(12) andT 1/2 (1229)=6.79(2) ns. The experimental g-factors show that the 1229 keV level has a dominant configuration of (f 7/23), and the 2911 keV level has an almost pure (f 7/27), configuration.The authors would like to thank the crew of CYRIC for the operation of the cyclotron.  相似文献
