The reactivity of europium with As species in Lewis basic alkali-metal polysulfide fluxes was investigated along with compound formation and the As(3+)/As(5+) interplay vis-à-vis changes in the flux basicity. The compound Na(2)EuAs(2)S(5) containing trivalent As(3+) is stabilized from an arsenic-rich polysulfide flux. It crystallizes in the monoclinic centrosymmetric space group P2(1)/c. Na(2)EuAs(2)S(5) has [As(2)S(5)](4-) units, built of corner sharing AsS(3) pyramids, which are coordinated to Eu(2+) ions to give a two-dimensional (2D) layered structure. A sodium polysulfide flux with comparatively less arsenic led to the As(5+) containing compounds NaEuAsS(4) (orthorhombic, Ama2) and Na(4)Eu(AsS(4))(2) (triclinic, P1) depending on Na(2)S/S ratio. The NaEuAsS(4) and Na(4)Eu(AsS(4))(2) have a three-dimensional (3D) structure built of [AsS(4)](3-) tetrahedra coordinated to Eu(2+) ions. All compounds are semiconductors with optical energy gaps of ~2 eV.  相似文献

The structures of the novel compounds K3Ln(AsS4)2 (Ln = Nd, Sm, Gd) contain infinite straight (1)infinity[Ln(AsS4)2]3- anionic chains which are composed of interconnected LnS8 polyhedra and AsS4 tetrahedra. Pink-brown crystalline alkali-metal trifluoromonosulphatomanganates(III), A2[MnF3(SO4)] (A = NH4, Li, Na or K), have been synthesised in high yields by reacting KMnO4 or MnO(OH) with 40% HF and A2SO4 or by the reaction of MnO(OH) with 40% HF and A2S2O8 (A = NH4 or K). The chemicallly estimated oxidation state of manganese occurs between 2.9 and 3.1, and the room temperature magnetic moments lie in the range 4.0–4.2 BM. (NH4)2[MnF3(SO4)] on being pyrolysed at 340°C yields MnSO4.  相似文献

Alkali phosphomolybdate glasses have been prepared by quenching melted mixtures of P2O5, MoO3 and A2O(A=Li, Na). The composition dependence of the transition temperature of glasses belonging to ternary A2O–(MoO3)2–P2O5 (A=Li, Na) systems is studied for several series of glasses corresponding to either a fixed A2O rate or a constant Mo/P ratio. The interpretation of the results is based on the presence of different types of molybdenum and phosphorous structural groups and P–O–M (M=P, Mo) linkages in glasses. Realgar, As(4)S(4), reacts with Cr(CO)(5)THF under cage degradation to give As(4)S(3)·Cr(CO)(5) (1). The reverse structural change is found if solutions of 1 in CH(2)Cl(2) react with equimolar amounts of PAs(3)S(3)·W(CO)(5) and CuX (X = Cl, Br, I) in CH(3)CN under biphasic diffusion conditions. The resulting coordination polymers 2-4 contain a reconstituted realgar molecule along with the PAs(3)S(3) cage. The crystal structures of (CuX)(As(4)S(4))(PAs(3)S(3)) (X = Cl: 2; Br: 3) are characterized by one-dimensional (1D) (CuX)(As(4)S(4)) strands, which are formed by alternating As(4)S(4) cages and CuX dumbbells. Terminal PAs(3)S(3) molecules are coordinated to copper by apical phosphorus and bridging realgar through sulfur. The As(3) triangles of the resulting (CuX)(As(4)S(4))(PAs(3)S(3)) strands interact with halides of neighbored strands to give a folded three-dimensional (3D) network. The structure of (CuI)(3)(As(4)S(4))(PAs(3)S(3)) (4) contains 1D (Cu(3)I(3))(n) strands as backbones, which are bridged by sulfur atoms of two η(1:2)-As(4)S(4) molecules while PAs(3)S(3) confines the resulting sheet. The As(3) triangles at the surface of the layers interact with iodide of the next layer to form a layered 3D network.  相似文献

Summary The atomic arrangements within the structures of NH4Ag2(AsS2)3 [a=9.557(2),b=7.414(2),c=16.29(1) Å; =91.30(5)°; space group P21/n;R(F)=0.042] and (NH4)5Ag16(AsS4)7 [a=64.49(6),b=6.471(2),c=12.806(4) Å; =95.47(5)°; space group Cc;R(F)=0.073] were determined from single crystal X-ray data. In these two compounds the coordination spheres of the Ag atoms are quite different. In NH4Ag2(AsS2)3, the Ag atoms exhibit a [2+2]- and a [3+1]-coordination to S atoms up to 3.3 Å and with Ag atom neighbours at 2.93 Å and 3.05 Å respectively. In (NH4)5Ag16(AsS4)7, the Ag atoms are — with one exception- [4] coordinated (Ag-S<3.3 Å) and the distances to further Ag atom neighbours are greater than 3.1 Å. NH4Ag2(AsS2)3 represents an ordered cyclo-thioarsenate(III) with three-membered As3S6 rings, (NH4)5Ag16(AsS4)7 a neso-thioarsenate(V) with two split Ag atom positions. Both compounds were synthesized under moderate hydrothermal conditions.
Synthesen und Kristallstrukturen von NH4Ag2(AsS2)3 und (NH4)5Ag16(AsS4)7 mit einer Diskussion über (NH4)Sx Polyeder
Zusammenfassung Die Atomanordnungen in den Strukturen von NH4Ag2(AsS2)3 [a=9.557(2),b=7.414(2),c=16.29(1) Å; =91.30(5)°; Raumgruppe P21/n;R(F)=0.042] und (NH4)5Ag16(AsS4)7 [a=64.49(6),b=6.471(2),c=12.806(4) Å; =95.47(5)°; Raumgruppe Cc;R(F)=0.073] wurden anhand von röntgenographischen Einkristalldaten bestimmt. In diesen beiden Verbindungen sind die Koordinationsverhältnisse um die Ag-Atome sehr unterschiedlich. In NH4Ag2(AsS2)3 besitzen die Ag-Atome bis 3.3 Å eine [2+2]- und [3+1]-Koordination durch S-Atome mit weiteren Ag-Atomen bei 2.93 Å und 3.05 Å. In (NH4)5Ag16(AsS4)7 sind die Ag-Atome mit einer Ausnahme [4]-koordiniert (Ag-S < 3.3 Å), und die Abstände zu weiteren Ag-Atomen sind größer als 3.1 Å. NH4Ag2(AsS2)3 stellt ein geordnetes Cyclothioarsenat(III) mit dreigliedrigen As3S6-Ringen dar, (NH4)5Ag16(AsS4)7 ein Nesothioarsenat (V) mit zwei aufgespaltenen Ag-Positionen. Beide Verbindungen wurden unter mäßigen Hydrothermalbedingungen synthetisiert.

A simple and efficient approach to selectively obtain 2,4(5)-diarylimidazoles suppressing formation of 2-aroyl-4(5)-arylimidazoles is described. The yield of each of the two products strongly depends on the reaction conditions employed. This reaction provides a simple method to prepare small libraries of biologically active compounds by parallel synthesis.  相似文献

Synthetic procedures were developed and X-ray diffraction analysis was performed for two mixed-ligand compounds of europium(III) with diethyldithiocarbamate ions and 2,2′-bipyridyl (2,2′-Bipy) or 1,10-phenanthroline (Phen): Eu(S2CN(C2H5)2)3(2,2′-Bipy) (I) and Eu(S2CN(C2H5)2)3Phen (II). The structures of the complexes consist of discrete monomer molecules; the coordination polyhedron of Eu (EuN2S6 is a node) is a distorted dodecahedron. The reaction of Mn and Cd in alkali metal polythioarsenate fluxes afforded four new compounds featuring molecular anions. K(8)[Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)] (I) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2/n with a = 9.1818(8) A, b = 8.5867(8) A, c = 20.3802(19) A, and beta = 95.095(2) degrees. Rb(8)[Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)] (II) and Cs(8)[Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)] (III) both crystallize in the triclinic space group P1 with a = 9.079(3) A, b = 9.197(3) A, c = 11.219(4) A, alpha = 105.958(7) degrees, beta = 103.950(5) degrees, and gamma = 92.612(6) degrees for II and a = 9.420(5) A, b = 9.559(5) A, c = 11.496(7) A, alpha = 105.606(14) degrees, beta = 102.999(12) degrees, and gamma = 92.423(14) degrees for III. The discrete dimeric [Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)](8-) clusters in these compounds are composed of two octahedral Mn(2+) ions bridged by two [AsS(4)](3-) units and chelated each by a [AsS(4)](3-) unit. Rb(8)[Cd(2)(AsS(4))(2)(AsS(5))(2)] (IV) crystallizes in P1 with a = 9.122(2) A, b = 9.285(2) A, c = 12.400(3) A, alpha = 111.700(6) degrees, beta = 108.744 degrees, and gamma = 90.163(5) degrees. Owing to the greater size of Cd compared to Mn, the Cd centers in this compound are bridged by [AsS(5)](3-) units. The [Cd(2)(AsS(4))(4)](8-) cluster is a minor component cocrystallized in the lattice. These compounds are yellow in color and soluble in water.  相似文献

(HgBr2)3(As4S4)2 is obtained by high temperature reaction of stoichiometric amounts of HgBr2 and As4S4. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with the lattice constants a = 9.593(5) Å, b = 11.395(5) Å, c = 13.402(5) Å, β = 107.27(3)°, V = 1399(1) Å3, and Z = 2. The crystal structure consists of molecular units built from two undistorted As4S4 cages which are coordinated weakly by three almost linear HgBr2 units. Raman spectra clearly indicate minor bonding interactions between HgBr2 and As4S4.  相似文献

Mixed Crystals from A4B3 Molecules (A = P, As; B = S, Se) The system P4S3? P4Se3? As4S3? As4Se3 was investigated by thermal and x-ray methods. Five regions of solid solubility with different crystal structures were found at room temperature. The range of existence can be influenced by the temperature of annealing. All these phases transform into a plastic-crystalline modification with complete solid solubility at higher temperature. A decomposition reaction of the A4B3 molecules was observed in the P4Se3/As4Se3/As4S3 part of the system. The molecules decompose into A4B4 molecules and an amorphous phase. The existence of all molecules of the type PnAs4–nSmSe3–m (n = 0–4, m = 0–3) and also As4SmSe4–m (m = 1–3) was verified by mass spectrometric measurements. The thermochemical data of the mixed crystals are determined by the type of the constituent A4B3 molecules. The temperature and the entropy of the α–β transition are lower for mixed crystals, formed by substituted molecules, than for those of the same structure, consisting of pure A4B3 molecules.  相似文献

A pnicogen-hydride interaction has been predicted and characterized in FH(2)P-HM and FH(2)As-HM (M = ZnH, BeH, MgH, Li, and Na) complexes at the MP2/aug-cc-pVTZ level. For the complexes analyzed here, P(As) and HM are treated as a Lewis acid and a Lewis base, respectively. This interaction is moderate or strong since, for the strongest interaction of the FH(2)As-HNa complex, the interaction energy amounts to -24.79 kcal/mol, and the binding distance is equal to about 1.7 ?, much less than the sum of the corresponding van der Waals radii. By comparison with some related systems, it is concluded that the pnicogen-hydride interactions are stronger than dihydrogen bonds and lithium-hydride interactions. This interaction has been analyzed with natural bond orbitals, atoms in molecules, electron localization function, and symmetry adapted perturbation theory methods.  相似文献

Crystals of Li2TiGeO5 were obtained by solution-melt crystallization, and those of Na2TiGeO5 were grown from a melt by pulling. The crystals are isostructural with the natisite mineral Na2TiSiO5. The crystal structure of Li2{TiOGeO4} was refined by X-ray diffraction analysis (a four-circle diffractometer, 2/ scan mode, MoK radiation, max = 50°). The unit cell parameters are a = 6.614(4) Å and c = 4.435(4) Å; space group P4/nmm, Z = 2, calcd = 3.67 g/cm3, R = 0.031, s = 1.128, wR(F 2) = 0.071 (548 reflections with I 2I). The ionic conduction in both crystals was found to be anisotropic in the temperature range 250–600°C;. At 400°C;, the conductivity values are 10–4 to 10–5 S/cm along the a axis and 10–6 to 10–8 (for Na2TiGeO5) and 10–7 to 10–9 S/cm (for Li2TiGeO5) along the c axis.  相似文献

The treatment of the dimeric paddle-wheel (PW) compound [Mo(2)(NCCH(3))(10)][BF(4)](4)1 with oxalic acid (0.5 equiv.), 1,1-cyclobutanedicarboxylic acid (1 equiv.), 5-hydroxyisophthalic acid (1 equiv.) (m-bdc-OH) or 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoroterephthalic acid (0.5 or 1 equiv.) leads to the formation of macromolecular dicarboxylate-linked (Mo(2))(n) entities (n = 2, 3, 4). The structure of the compounds depends on the length and geometry of the organic linkers. In the case of oxalic acid, the dimeric compound [(CH(3)CN)(8)Mo(2)(OOC-COO)Mo(2)(NCCH(3))(8)][BF(4)](6)2 is formed selectively, whereas the use of 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoroterephthalic acid affords the square-shaped complex [(CH(3)CN)(6)Mo(2)(OOC-C(6)F(4)-COO)](4)[BF(4)](8)3. Bent linkers with a bridging angle of 109° and 120°, respectively, lead to the formation of the molecular loop [(CH(3)CN)(6)Mo(2)(OOC-C(4)H(6)-COO)](2)[BF(4)](4)4 and the bowl-shaped molecular triangle [(CH(3)CN)(6)Mo(2)(m-bdc-OH)](3)[BF(4)](6)5. All complexes are characterised by X-ray single crystal diffraction, NMR ((1)H, (11)B, (13)C and (19)F) and UV-Vis spectroscopy.  相似文献

Modeling of atomic species (An clusters in the form of atoms or Kn polyhedra, where n is the number of atoms or polyhedra) corresponding to the initial stage of evolution of a chemical system has been carried out. Three series of K4 clusters built of different T tetrahedra (L and T) have been recognized. For L2T2 clusters, six geometrically and symmetrically different types of suprapolyhedral clusters have been discovered. The model has been used to identify precursor clusters in A2T2O5 (A = Li, Na; T = Si, Ge) framework structures: A-type Li2T2O5 with space group Cc, B-type Li4Ge3SiO10 with space group Abm2, C-type Li2Si2O5 with space group Ccc2, and D-type A2Si2O5 with space group Pbcn. Three (of the six possible) types of suprapolyhedral precursor nanoclusters K4 in the four structures have been identified. The full 3D reconstruction of the self-assembly scenario of crystal structures is as follows: precursor nanocluster ?? primary chain ?? microlayer ?? microframework ?? ?? framework. The bifurcation of structural evolution pathways (structural branching points) at the suprapolyhedral level for type A and B structures is found to occur only when a microframework is formed of equivalent microlayers.  相似文献

Phase equilibria in the systems M2MoO4-Cr2(MoO4)3-Zr(MoO4)2 (M = Li, Na, or Rb) were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction analysis, DTA, and IR spectroscopy. The subsolidus structure of the phase diagrams of the systems under study was established. Two phases are formed in the Rb2MoO4-Cr2(MoO4)3-Zr(MoO4)2 system with the molar ratios of the starting components equal to 5: 1: 1 (S 2) and 1: 1: 1 (S 1). Proceeding from that the isostructurality of Rb5FeHf(MoO4)6 and S 2 the unit cell, parameters are determined for S 2.  相似文献

Summary Amorphous zirconium phosphate (Zr(HPO4)2.nH2O, AM-ZP) has been investigated as a material for selective removal of Cs or Sr from molten salt waste at aqueous state and its ceramic waste form. NZP (MZr2P3O12, M=Li, Na, Cs, and Sr), was synthesized by three methods and evaluated their durability by the Product Consistency Test (PCT) method. AM-ZP has a high selectivity on Cs and Sr even in the presence of Li with high concentration. From the leaching data, the leached fractions (LF) of each product at a given time in infinite leachate volume can be calculated by a semi-empirical equation. The LF of Li, Na, Cs and Sr on the product prepared by composition-adjusting process were 0.143, 0.078, 0.017, and 0.034, respectively. It can be concluded that AM-ZP is an effective material for selective removal of radionuclides from molten salt waste and its metal-loaded ZP can be changed into a durable waste form close to NZP structure by a composition-adjusting process.  相似文献

The ternary arsenides A(2)Zn(2)As(3) and the quaternary derivatives A(2)Ag(2)ZnAs(3) (A = Sr, Eu) have been prepared by stoichiometric reaction of the elements at 800 °C. Compounds A(2)Zn(2)As(3) crystallize with the monoclinic Ba(2)Cd(2)Sb(3)-type structure (Pearson symbol mC28, space group C2/m, Z = 4; a = 16.212(5) ?, b = 4.275(1) ?, c = 11.955(3) ?, β = 126.271(3)° for Sr(2)Zn(2)As(3); a = 16.032(4) ?, b = 4.255(1) ?, c = 11.871(3) ?, β = 126.525(3)° for Eu(2)Zn(2)As(3)) in which CaAl(2)Si(2)-type fragments, built up of edge-sharing Zn-centered tetrahedra, are interconnected by homoatomic As-As bonds to form anionic slabs [Zn(2)As(3)](4-) separated by A(2+) cations. Compounds A(2)Ag(2)ZnAs(3) crystallize with the monoclinic Yb(2)Zn(3)Ge(3)-type structure (Pearson symbol mC32, space group C2/m; a = 16.759(2) ?, b = 4.4689(5) ?, c = 12.202(1) ?, β = 127.058(1)° for Sr(2)Ag(2)ZnAs(3); a = 16.427(1) ?, b = 4.4721(3) ?, c = 11.9613(7) ?, β = 126.205(1)° for Eu(2)Ag(2)ZnAs(3)), which can be regarded as a stuffed derivative of the Ba(2)Cd(2)Sb(3)-type structure with additional transition-metal atoms in tetrahedral coordination inserted to link the anionic slabs together. The Ag and Zn atoms undergo disorder but with preferential occupancy over four sites centered in either tetrahedral or trigonal planar geometry. The site distribution of these metal atoms depends on a complex interplay of size and electronic factors. All compounds are Zintl phases. Band structure calculations predict that Sr(2)Zn(2)As(3) is a narrow band gap semiconductor and Sr(2)Ag(2)ZnAs(3) is a semimetal. Electrical resistivity measurements revealed band gaps of 0.04 eV for Sr(2)Zn(2)As(3) and 0.02 eV for Eu(2)Zn(2)As(3), the latter undergoing an apparent metal-to-semiconductor transition at 25 K.  相似文献
