Copper(II) complexes of three bis(tacn) ligands, [Cu(2)(T(2)-o-X)Cl(4)] (1), [Cu(2)(T(2)-m-X)(H(2)O)(4)](ClO(4))(4).H(2)O.NaClO(4) (2), and [Cu(2)(T(2)-p-X)Cl(4)] (3), were prepared by reacting a Cu(II) salt and L.6HCl (2:1 ratio) in neutral aqueous solution [T(2)-o-X = 1,2-bis(1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-ylmethyl)benzene; T(2)-m-X = 1,3-bis(1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-ylmethyl)benzene; T(2)-p-X = 1,4-bis(1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-ylmethyl)benzene]. Crystals of [Cu(2)(T(2)-m-X)(NPP)(mu-OH)](ClO(4)).H(2)O (4) formed at pH = 7.4 in a solution containing 2 and disodium 4-nitrophenyl phosphate (Na(2)NPP). The binuclear complexes [Cu(2)(T(2)-o-XAc(2))(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2).4H(2)O (5) and [Cu(2)(T(2)-m-XAc(2))(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2).4H(2)O (6) were obtained on addition of Cu(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O to aqueous solutions of the bis(tetradentate) ligands T(2)-o-XAc(2) (1,2-bis((4-(carboxymethyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-yl)methyl)benzene and T(2)-m-XAc(2) (1,3-bis((4-(carboxymethyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-yl)methyl)benzene), respectively. In the binuclear complex, 3, three N donors from one macrocycle and two chlorides occupy the distorted square pyramidal Cu(II) coordination sphere. The complex features a long Cu...Cu separation (11.81 A) and intermolecular interactions that give rise to weak intermolecular antiferromagnetic coupling between Cu(II) centers. Complex 4 contains binuclear cations with a single hydroxo and p-nitrophenyl phosphate bridging two Cu(II) centers (Cu...Cu = 3.565(2) A). Magnetic susceptibility studies indicated the presence of strong antiferromagnetic interactions between the metal centers (J = -275 cm(-1)). Measurements of the rate of BNPP (bis(p-nitrophenyl) phosphate) hydrolysis by a number of these metal complexes revealed the greatest rate of cleavage for [Cu(2)(T(2)-o-X)(OH(2))(4)](4+) (k = 5 x 10(-6) s(-1) at pH = 7.4 and T = 50 degrees C). Notably, the mononuclear [Cu(Me(3)tacn)(OH(2))(2)](2+) complex induces a much faster rate of cleavage (k = 6 x 10(-5) s(-1) under the same conditions).  相似文献

Four complexes of the general formula Ru(NNN)2+2 (N NN = tridentate N-heterocyclic ligand) were synthesized and studied spectroscopically. All exhibit visible absorption spectra that are charge-transfer-to-ligand in origin, are luminescent in glasses at 77 K, and display emission spectra that possess energies, structures, and decay tines that label them as charge transfer.  相似文献

A series of copper(II) complexes, CuL·imidazole, where L2? are tridentate Schiff base ligands formed by condensation of salicylaldehyde with a series of amino acids, have been synthesized. Visible spectral data indicate that copper(II) in these complexes are five coordinate in the solid state and in solution. Electrospray mass spectrometry has been used to show how these complexes react in alcohol/NaOH solutions with and without the presence of d-galactose. In the absence of d-galactose where the amino acid in the ligand is serine, the alcohol group on the ligand is converted to its alkyl ether after sonication of the solution for up to 4?h. In the presence of d-galactose, an alkoxy group is added to the ligands except for the ligand containing serine after sonication of the solutions for up to 4?h. At the same time, d-galactose is oxidized to its aldehyde. Where the ligand contains methionine, oxygen is also added to the ligand, most likely to the thioether sulfur.  相似文献

Four new methyloxorhenium(V) compounds were synthesized with these tridentate chelating ligands: 2-mercaptoethyl sulfide (abbreviated HSSSH), 2-mercaptoethyl ether (HSOSH), thioldiglycolic acid (HOSOH), and 2-(salicylideneamino)benzoic acid (HONOH). Their reactions with MeReO(3) under suitable conditions led to these products: MeReO(SSS), 1, MeReO(SOS), 2, MeReO(OSO)(PAr(3)), 3, and MeReO(ONO)(PPh(3)), 4. These compounds were characterized spectroscopically and crystallographically. Compounds 1 and 2 have a five-coordinate distorted square pyramidal geometry about rhenium, whereas 3 and 4 are six-coordinate compounds with distorted octahedral structures. The kinetics of oxidation of 2 and 3 in chloroform with pyridine N-oxides follow different patterns. The oxidation of 2 shows first-order dependences on the concentrations of 2 and the ring-substituted pyridine N-oxide. The Hammett analysis of the rate constants gives a remarkably large and negative reaction constant, rho = -4.6. The rate of oxidation of 3 does not depend on the concentration or the identity of the pyridine N-oxide, but it is directly proportional to the concentration of water, both an accidental and then a deliberate cosolvent. The mechanistic differences have been interpreted as reflecting the different steric demands of five- and six-coordinate rhenium compounds.  相似文献

Two new linear CuII complexes [Cu(L1)2] (I) (HL1 = (E)-3,5-dichloro-2-hydroxy benzaldehyde O-methyl oxime) and [Cu(L2)2] (II) (HL2 = (E)-3,5-dichloro-2-hydroxy benzaldehyde O-ethyl oxime) are synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis, and X-ray diffraction methods. X-ray crystallographic analyses indicate that complexes I and II have a similar structure consisting of one CuII ion and two L units. In the complexes, the CuII ion lying on an inversion centre is four-coordinated in a trans-CuN2O2 square planar geometry by two phenolate O and two oxime N atoms from two symmetry-related N,O-bidentate oxime-type ligands. However, the crystal structure of the two complexes is different: complex I forms an infinite three-dimensional supramolecular network structure through intermolecular hydrogen bonding and π...π interaction, while complex II forms an infinite one-dimensional supramolecular structure through intermolecular hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Twelve new copper(II) complexes in which N,N′-bis-(2-pyridylmethyl)-oxamidatocopper(II) or N,N′-bis(2-pyridylethyl)-oxamidatocopper(II) coordinates as a bidentate ligand have been isolated and characterized. These complexes have a structure bridged by the oxamide group (including two tetranuclear complexes formed by olation of two binuclear complexes, of. Fig. 1), and possess Cu? Cu interaction resulting in a sub-normal magnetic moment at room temperature. In one of them, [Cu2(PMoxd) (bipy)2] (NO3)2 (cf. Fig. 2), each copper(II) ion has a five-coordinated environment.  相似文献

Two picolinate-containing nickel(II) complexes [Ni(bbma)(pic)(H2O)]ClO4 · CH3OH (1) and [Ni(ntb)(pic)]Cl · CH3OH · 3H2O (2) were synthesized and characterized by infrared, elemental analysis, UV-Vis, and X-ray diffraction analyses, where bbma is bis(benzimidazol-2-yl-methyl)amine, ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine, pic is the anion of picolinic acid. X-ray analysis shows that both complexes are mononuclear with picolinate coordinated to Ni(II) in a μ2-N,O chelating mode. Both complexes adopt distorted octahedral geometry. Intermolecular N–H ··· O and O–H ··· O hydrogen bonds and π–π interactions in 1 and 2 are important in stabilization of the crystal structures.  相似文献

Summary Manganese(II) complexes of bis(2-benzimidazolylmethyl) ether (DGB), bis(2-benzimidazolylmethyl) sulphide (TGB) and the n-butyl derivative of DGB (BDGB) were prepared and characterised. The solution e.p.r. spectrum of [Mn(TGB)Cl2] in DMF at 143 K is commensurate with an axially distorted monomeric manganese(II) complex, room temperature magnetic moment (6.04 B.M.) per manganese(II) atom being in the range found for other d5 monomeric manganese(II) complexes. The solution e.p.r. spectrum of [Mn(BDGB)Cl2]-2H2O in DMF at 143 K indicates the presence of two equivalent manganese(II) ions coupled by an exchange interaction, fostered by bridging chlorides. Evidence for this is provided by a nearly isotropic 11 line hyperfine structure of 55Mn, with a coupling constant 45 ± 5G. Contact-shifted 1H n.m.r. data also supports an exchange coupled dimeric manganese complex. The room temperature magnetic moment, 5.64 B.M., per manganese(II) indicates quenching of the magnetic moment below that of monomeric manganese(II) ion. The [Mn(DGB)Cl2]·H2O complex exhibits a magnetic moment of 6.02 B.M. per manganese, indicating a monomeric manganese complex. E.p.r. data of the complex diluted in an analogous Zn-DGB complex (1∶20) correlates well for D = 0.22cm−1 and λ ∼- 0.267. The [Mn(DGB)-(C1O4)2] and [Mn(BDGB)(ClO4)2] complexes, diluted in analogous Zn-DGB and Zn-BDGB complexes (1∶20), show a strong single e.p.r. line at g eff ∼- 2. The complexes have low magnetic moments; 4.44 B.M./Mn and 4.39 B.M./Mn, at room temperature.  相似文献

Summary Copper(II) salts were reacted with two diamino-dithioether ligands, i.e. 1,3-di(o-aminophenylthio)propane (abbreviated H2L1) and 1,2-di(o-aminophenylthio)xylene (abbreviated H2L2). Mixtures of copper(I) and copper(II) complexes were obtained with Cl and ClO 4 counterions. The major products were the copper(I) complexes, which were obtained pure after recrystallisation from MeCN-MeOH. The ligands lose two protons from the amine functions to form copper(I) complexes of general formula [CuL]X, where X = ClO 4 or Cl. The complexes were oxidised to [CuL]X2 with H2O2 in DMF. Cu(NO3)2 on the other hand gave [CuH2LNO3]NO3.  相似文献

A series of heteroleptic copper(I) complexes incorporating amido-triazole and diphosphine ligands, [Cu(I)(N-phenyl-2-(1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)aniline)(dppb)] (1), [Cu(I)(N-(4-methylphenyl)-2-(1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)aniline)(dppb)] (2), [Cu(I)(N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-(1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)aniline)(dppb)] (3), [Cu(I)(N-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-(1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)aniline)(dppb)] (4), [Cu(I)(2,6-dimethyl-N-[2-(1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)phenyl]aniline)(dppb)] (5), [Cu(I)(2,6-dimethyl-N-[2-(1-benzyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)phenyl]aniline)(dppb)] (6), (dppb = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)benzene), have been prepared. The complexes adopt a distorted tetrahedral geometry in the solid state with the amido-triazole ligand forming a six-member ring with the Cu(I) ion. The complexes exhibit long-lived photoluminescence with colors ranging from yellow to red-orange in the solid state, in frozen glass at 77 K, and in fluid solution with modest quantum yields of up to 0.022. Electrochemically, complexes 1-4 show irreversible oxidation waves while 5 and 6 are characterized by quasi-reversible oxidations as determined by cyclic voltammetry. For 1-4, the emission energy and oxidation potential are found to vary linearly with the Hammett parameter σ(p) of the substituent in the para position of the amido ligand, while in 5 and 6, large differences in emission are observed because of the nature of N3 substitution in the triazole ring. Density functional theory calculations have been performed on the singlet ground states (S(o)) of all complexes at the BP86/6-31G(d) level to assist in assignment of the excited states. On the basis of both experimental and computational results, we have assigned the excited states as intraligand + metal-to-ligand charge transfer (3)(ILCT+MLCT) or ligand-to-ligand charge transfer mixed with MLCT (3)(MLCT +LLCT) in these complexes.  相似文献

Copper complexes with aminoalcoholato ligands have attracted much attention recently because of their potential applications in ceramic materials. This review deals with polynuclear copper (II) complexes containing bidentate and triden-tate aminoalcoholato ligands. The focus of this article is on the synthesis, structure, and magnetic properties of polynuclear copper (II) complexes obtained recently by our group. Some relevant work reported previously by other researchers is also included.Dedicated to Professor Jiaxi Lu on the occasion of his 80th birthday.  相似文献

Three cubane copper(II) clusters, namely [Cu(4)(HL')4] (1), [Cu4L2(OH)2] (2), and [Cu4L2(OMe)2] (3), of two pentadentate Schiff-base ligands N,N'-(2-hydroxypropane-1,3-diyl)bis(acetylacetoneimine) (H3L') and N,N'-(2-hydroxypropane-1,3-diyl)bis(salicylaldimine) (H3L), are prepared, structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography, and their variable-temperature magnetic properties studied. Complex 1 has a metal-to-ligand stoichiometry of 1:1 and it crystallizes in the cubic space group P43n with a structure that consists of a tetranuclear core with metal centers linked by a mu(3)-alkoxo oxygen atom to form a cubic arrangement of the metal and oxygen atoms. Each ligand displays a tridentate binding mode which means that a total of eight pendant binding sites remain per cubane molecule. Complexes [Cu4L2(OH)2] (2) and [Cu4L2(OMe)2] (3) crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Pccn and have a cubane structure that is formed by the self-assembly of two {Cu2L}+ units. The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility data in the range 300-18 K show ferromagnetic exchange interactions in the complexes. Along with the ferromagnetic exchange pathway, there is also a weak antiferromagnetic exchange between the copper centers. The theoretical fitting of the magnetic data gives the following parameters: J1 = 38.5 and J2 = -18 cm(-1) for 1 with a triplet (S = 1) ground state and quintet (S = 2) lowest excited state; J1 = 14.7 and J2 = -18.4 cm(-1) for 2 with a triplet ground state and singlet (S = 0) lowest excited state; and J1 = 33.3 and J2 = -15.6 cm(-1) for 3 with a triplet ground state and quintet lowest excited state, where J1 and J2 are two different exchange pathways in the cubane {Cu4O4} core. The crystal structures of 2 * 6 H2O and 3 * 2 H2O * THF show the presence of channels containing the lattice solvent molecules.  相似文献

The binuclear copper(II) complexes with acyldihydrazones formed by 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid and salicylaldehyde or 2-hydroxyacetophenone were synthesized and studied. The structure of the complex with 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid bis(salicylidene)hydrazone (H4L1) [Cu2L1(Py)2] was studied by X-ray diffraction. The crystals are triclinic: a = 8.1852(4) Å, b = 8.5157(5) Å, c = 11.6553(7) Å, α = 80.678(3)°, β = 70.041(4)°, γ = 74.803(3)°. Space group \(P\bar 1\), Z = 1. The number of symmetrically independent reflections with I > 2(σ(I)) is 2245, R = 0.0395; R w = 0.0917. The complex contains two equivalent copper atoms located at a 10.772 Å distance from each other. The coordination polyhedra have a square geometry and are involved in the intermolecular π/π-stacking. The EPR spectra of solutions of the binuclear complexes show an isotropic signal of seven HFS lines (g = 2.113–2.118, A Cu ≈ 38 G), indicating interaction between the unpaired electrons and the two equivalent copper nuclei. The possible exchange interaction channels were analyzed.  相似文献

Summary Copper(II) complexes with the Schiff bases derived from Salicylaldehyde and its 5-chloro-, 5-bromo-, 5-nitro-, 3-ethoxy- and 3,5-dichloro derivatives, or from 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde ando-hydroxybenzylamine, have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, i.r. and electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The Schiff bases behave as tridentate dibasic O, N and O donor ligands and form complexes with 11 metal: ligand stoichiometry which exhibit subnormal magnetic moments ( eff=0.88–0.98 B.M.) and are involved in strong antifer-romagnetic exchange (–J=482–525 cm–1). The complexes exhibit a d-d band atca. 1600 cm–1. A dimeric structure with aminophenolic oxygen atoms as the bridging atoms is proposed on the basis of i.r. and magnetic data.  相似文献

Copper(I)-dioxygen interactions are of great interest due to their role in biological O2-processing as well as their importance in industrial oxidation processes. We describe here the study of systems which lead to new insights concerning the factors which govern Cu(II)-mu-eta2:eta2 (side-on) peroxo versus Cu(III)-bis-mu-oxo species formation. Drastic differences in O2-reactivity of Cu(I) complexes which differ only by a single -CH3 versus -H substituent on the central amine of the tridentate ligands employed are observed. [Cu(MeAN)]B(C6F5)4 (1) (MeAN = N,N,N',N',N'-pentamethyl-dipropylenetriamine) reacts with O2 at -80 degrees C to form almost exclusively the side-on peroxo complex [{CuII(MeAN)}2(O2)]2+ (3) in CH2Cl2, tetrahydrofuran, acetone, and diethyl ether solvents, as characterized by UV-vis and resonance Raman spectroscopies. In sharp contrast, [Cu(AN)]B(C6F5)4 (2) (AN = 3, 3'-iminobis(N,N-dimethyl-propylamine) can support either Cu2O2 structures in a strongly solvent-dependent manner. Extreme behavior is observed in CH2Cl2 solvent, where 1 reacts with O2 giving 3, while 2 forms exclusively the bis-mu-oxo species [{CuIII(AN)}2(O)2]2+ (4Oxo). Stopped-flow kinetics measurements also reveal significant variations in the oxygenation reactions of 1 versus 2, including the observations that 4Oxo forms much faster than does 3; the former decomposes quickly, while the latter is quite stable at 193 K. The solvent-dependence of the bis-mu-oxo versus side-on peroxo preference observed for 2 is opposite to that reported for other known copper(I) complexes; the factors which may be responsible for the unusual behavior of 1/O2 versus 2/O2 (possibly N-H hydrogen bonding in the AN chemistry) are suggested. The factors which affect bis-mu-oxo versus side-on peroxo formation continue to be of interest.  相似文献

A new series of binary copper(II) complexes, [Cu(L)2] (2) [where L is a monobasic tridentate methylthioazophenolate having NSO donor sets], has been synthesized. The reddish brown colored complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, spectroscopic and other physico-chemical tools. The detailed structure analysis of one of the complexes, [Cu(1a)2] (2a), by single-crystal X-ray crystallography shows that thioether-S donor center participates in coordination with the copper(II) ion with a weak interaction with long Cu–S(thioether) bond distances [2.956(2) Å and 2.925(2) Å]. Electrochemical study of the complexes in methanol using TBAP as supporting electrolyte shows that heterogeneous electron-transfer rate is low at the applied potential.  相似文献

Summary Copper(II) complexes with a tridentate chelating ligand within the general 2N, X (X = O or S) donor class, containing abis(benzimidazolyl) donor set, were prepared and characterized. X-band e.p.r. spectra of the complexes indicateg >g and the largeg and lowA have been interpreted in terms of a distorted basal plane. Superimposed on theg component are five SHF lines withA N = 16±2G, supporting the interaction of two nitrogen atoms with the copper nucleus. Thus, the basal plane of the complex comprises 2N atoms, with the ligand hetero atom being axially coordinated.  相似文献

Three new bis(aryl)triazene ligands, Ar-NNNH-Ar' [Ar = o-C(6)H(4)-CO(2)Me, Ar' = p-C(6)H(4)-CH(3) (2); Ar = Ar' = o-C(6)H(4)-CO(2)Me (3); Ar = o-C(6)H(4)-SMe, Ar' = p-C(6)H(4)-CH(3)) (4)], have been synthesized. The reaction of 1-4 with PdCl(2)(NCCH(3))(2) in the presence of a base afforded a series of binuclear diamagnetic palladium complexes. In these reactions, ligands 1-3 afforded the palladium(I) complexes [Pd(I)(o-MeO(2)C-C(6)H(4)-NNN-o-C(6)H(4)-CO(2)Me)](2) (5, monoclinic, space group P21/c, a = 8.6070(10) Angstrom, b = 14.3220(10) Angstrom, c = 12.7310(10) Angstrom, beta = 100.2950(10) degrees, Z = 2), [Pd(I)(o-MeO-C(6)H(4)-NNN-o-C(6)H(4)-OMe)](2) (6, triclinic, space group P, a = 6.6288(5) Angstrom, b = 10.2631(10) Angstrom, c = 11.0246(11) Angstrom, alpha = 85.579(6) degrees, beta = 80.885(6) degrees, gamma = 74.607(6) degrees, Z = 1), and [Pd(I)(o-MeO(2)C-C(6)H(4)-NNN-p-C(6)H(4)-CH(3))](2) (7, tetragonal, space group I41/a, a = 20.866(3) Angstrom, b = 20.866(3) Angstrom, c = 13.156(2) Angstrom, Z = 8). In contrast, the reaction of ligand 4 with PdCl(2)(NCCH(3))(2) resulted in the formation of a palladium(II) dimer, [Pd(II)(o-MeS-C(6)H(4)-NNN-p-C(6)H(4)-CH(3))Cl](2) (8, orthorhombic, space group P2(1)2(1)2, a = 10.4058(5) Angstrom, b = 16.2488(8) Angstrom, c = 9.9500(5) Angstrom, Z = 2).  相似文献
