We theoretically design and analytically study a
controllable beam splitter for the spin wave propagating in a
star-shaped (e.g., a Y-shaped beam) spin network. Such a solid
state beam splitter can display quantum interference and quantum
entanglement by the well-aimed controls of interaction on nodes. It
will enable an elementary interferometric device for scalable

We study the effect of the Dzyaloshinskill-Moriya anisotropic antisymmetric interaction (DM interaction) on entanglement teleportation in a two-qubit Heisenberg model with intrinsic decoherence taken into account. For some initial states of the channel, the DM interaction and intrinsic decoherence have no effect on the teleported entanglement and fidelity. While for other one, the DM interaction and intrinsic decoherence have a pronounced effect. 相似文献

The fidelity and entanglement entropy in an
antiferromagnetic-ferromagnetic alternating Heisenberg chain are
investigated by using the method of density-matrix
renormalization-group. The effects of anisotropy on fidelity and
entanglement entropy are investigated. The relations between
fidelity, entanglement entropy and quantum phase transition are
analyzed. It is found that the quantum phase transition point can be
well characterized by both the ground-state entropy and fidelity for

In this paper, we explicitly present a general scheme for controlled quantum teleportation of an arbitrary multi-qudit state
with unit fidelity and non-unit successful probability using d-dimensional nonmaximally entangled GHZ states as the quantum channel and generalized d-dimensional Bell states as the measurement basis. The expression of successful probability for controlled teleportation is
present depending on the degree of entanglement matching between the quantum channel and the generalized Bell states. And
the formulae for the selection of operations performed by the receiver are given according to the results measured by the
sender and the controller.

We studied the effects of Dzyaloshinski-Moriya (DM) anisoyropic antisymmetric interaction on entanglement and teleportation in a two-qubit Heisenberg chain with intrinsic decoherence taken into account. The main result is the systematic analysis of the negativity and fully entangled fraction’s evolution as a function of DM interaction D and time t. We make a detailed study of Bell-type inequalities based on correlations between measurements of continuous observables performed
on trapped molecular systems. We show that, in general, when an observable has a continuous spectrum which is bounded, one
is able to construct non-locality tests sharing common properties with those for two-level systems. The specific observable
studied here is molecular spatial orientation, and it can be experimentally measured for single molecules, as required in
our protocol. We also provide some useful general properties of the derived inequalities and study their robustness to noise.
Finally, we detail possible experimental scenarios and analyse the role played by different experimental parameters. 相似文献

We study systematically the entanglement of a two-qubit
Heisenberg XY model in thermal equilibrium in the presence of an
external arbitrarily-directed static magnetic field, thereby
generalizing our prior work [G. Lagmago Kamta, A.F. Starace, Phys.
Rev. Lett. 88, 107901 (2002)]. We show that a magnetic field
having a component in the xy-plane containing the spin-spin
interaction components produces different entanglement for
ferromagnetic (FM) and antiferromagnetic (AFM) couplings. In
particular, quantum phase transitions induced by the magnetic
field-driven level crossings always occur for the AFM-coupled
qubits, but only occur in FM-coupled qubits when the coupling is of
Ising type or when the magnetic field has a component perpendicular
to the xy-plane. When the magnetic field has a component in the
xy-plane, the cut-off temperature above which the entanglement of
both the FM- and AFM-coupled qubits vanishes can always be
controlled using the magnetic field for any value of the XY coupling
anisotropy parameter. Thus, by adjusting the magnetic field, an
entangled state of two spins can be produced at any finite
temperature. Finally, we find that a higher level of entanglement is
achieved when the in-plane component of the magnetic field is
parallel to the direction in which the XY exchange coupling is

In this paper we study the dynamics of the two-dimensional XY model with single-ion anisotropy, and spin S = 1, in the large
D phase, and low temperatures, using the bond operator formalism. The in-plane structure factor is a delta function. The out
of plane shows a three peak structure, which merges in a single peak at the Brillouin zone boundary. We analyze also spin
currents generated by a magnetic field gradient. The spin conductivity is calculated, at finite temperature, using the Kubo
formula. The model shows unconventional ballistic spin transport at finite temperature. The computed spin conductivity exhibits
a nonzero Drude weight at finite temperature. For ω< 2m, where m is the energy gap, the spin conductivity is described solely
by the Drude weight. There is a regular contribution to the spin conductivity for ω> 2m, which persist in the zero temperature
limit. The conductivity at the critical point, and for small frequencies, is (gμB)2/ħ times a universal scaling function of ħω/kB T. 相似文献

We introduce a spin ladder with Ising interactions along the legs and intrinsically frustrated Heisenberg-like ferromagnetic
interactions on the rungs. The model is solved exactly in the subspaces relevant for the ground state by mapping to the quantum
Ising model, and we show that a first order quantum phase transition separates the classical from quantum regime, with the
spin correlations on the rungs being either ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic, and different spin excitations in both regimes.

We present an efficient and economic scheme for five-party quantum
state sharing of an arbitrary m-qubit state with 2m three-particle
Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states and three-particle
GHZ-state measurements. It is more convenient than other schemes as
it only resorts to three-particle GHZ states and three-particle
joint measurement, not five-particle entanglements and five-particle
joint measurements. Moreover, this symmetric scheme is in principle
secure even though the number of the dishonest agents is more than

We investigate the phase decoherence effects on
the entanglement of a two-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg
model
with a nonuniform magnetic field in the x–z-plane. As a
measure of the entanglement, the concurrence of the system is
calculated. It is shown that when the magnetic field is along the
z-axis, the nonuniform and uniform components of the field have
no influence on the entanglement for the cases of
and
, respectively. But when
the magnetic field is not along the z-axis, both the uniform and
the nonuniform components of the field will introduce the
decoherence effects. It is found that the effects of the
Heisenberg chain's anisotropy in the Z-direction on the
entanglement are dependent on the direction of the field.
Moreover, the larger the initial concurrence is, the higher value
it will exhibit during the time evolution of the system for a
proper set of the parameters ν, Δ, θ, γ

We have studied the behavior of the energy gap of the 1D AF
spin-
XXZ model in a transverse magnetic field (h)
using the exact diagonalization technique. The ground state phase
diagram consists of two spin-flop and paramagnetic phases. Using a
modified finite-size scaling approach, we have computed the
critical exponent of the energy gap in the vicinity of the
critical transverse field hc(Δ). Our numerical results
confirm that the continuous phase transition from the spin-flop
phase to the paramagnetic one is in the universality class of the
Ising model in the transverse field (ITF). By applying conformal
estimates of a small perturbation (h≪1), we have also

The ground-state magnetic phase diagram of a spin S=1/2 two-leg ladder with alternating rung exchange J⊥(n)=J⊥[1 + (-1)n δ] is studied using the analytical and numerical approaches. In the limit where the rung exchange is dominant, we have mapped
the model onto the effective quantum sine-Gordon model with topological term and identified two quantum phase transitions
at magnetization equal to the half of saturation value from a gapped to the gapless regime. These quantum transitions belong
to the universality class of the commensurate-incommensurate phase transition. We have also shown that the magnetization curve
of the system exhibits a plateau at magnetization equal to the half of the saturation value. We also present a detailed numerical
analysis of the low energy excitation spectrum and the ground state magnetic phase diagram of the ladder with rung-exchange
alternation using Lanczos method of numerical diagonalizations for ladders with number of sites up to N = 28. We have calculated
numerically the magnetic field dependence of the low-energy excitation spectrum, magnetization and the on-rung spin-spin correlation
function. We have also calculated the width of the magnetization plateau and show that it scales as δν, where critical exponent varies from ν = 0.87±0.01 in the case of a ladder with isotropic antiferromagnetic legs to ν = 1.82±0.01
in the case of ladder with ferromagnetic legs. Obtained numerical results are in an complete agreement with estimations made

We study quantum teleportation via a two-qubit Heisenberg
XXZ chain under an inhomogeneous magnetic field. We first consider entanglement
teleportation, and then focus on the teleportation fidelity under different
conditions. The effects of anisotropy and the magnetic field, both uniform
and inhomogeneous, are discussed. We also find that, though entanglement
teleportation does require an entangled quantum channel, a nonzero critical

We investigate the entanglement dynamics of a quantum system consisting of two-level atoms interacting with vacuum or thermal
fields with classical driving fields. We find that the entanglement of the system can be improved by adjusting the classical
driving field. The influence of the classical field and the purity of the initial state on the entanglement sudden death is
also studied. It is shown that the time of entanglement sudden death can be controlled by the classical driving fields. Particularly,

We investigate chain teleportation with some nonmaximally entangled channels. The efficiencies of two chain teleportation
protocols, the separate chain teleportation protocol (SCTP) and the global chain teleportation protocol (GCTP), are calculated.
In SCTP the errors are corrected between every step while in GCTP the errors are corrected only at the end. We show that GCTP

chosen unitary operators are studied. Quantities based on averages of

By means of the Density Matrix Renormalization Group technique, we have studied the region where XXZ-like behavior is most
likely to emerge within the phase diagram of the F-AF anisotropic extended (J-J’) Heisenberg chain. We have analyzed, in great
detail, the equal-time two-spin correlation functions, both in- and out-of- plane, as functions of the distance (and momentum).
Then, we have extracted, through an accurate fitting procedure, the exponents of the asymptotic power-law decay of the spatial
correlations. We have used the exact solution of XXZ model (J’ = 0) to benchmark our results, which clearly show the expected
agreement. A critical value of J’ has been found where the relevant power-law decay exponent is independent of the in-plane
