In this paper, the Lie symmetry algebra of the coupled Kadomtsev--Petviashvili (cKP) equation is obtained by the classical Lie group method and this algebra is shown to have a Kac--Moody--Virasoro loop algebra structure. Then the general symmetry groups of the cKP equation is also obtained by the symmetry group direct method which is proposed by Lou et al。 From the general symmetry groups, the Lie symmetry group can be recovered and a group of discrete transformations can be derived simultaneously. Lastly, from a known simple solution of the cKP equation, we can easily obtain two new solutions by the general symmetry groups.  相似文献

Using the classical Lie method of infinitesimals, we first obtain the symmetry of the (2+1)-dimensional Burgers-Korteweg-de-Vries (3D-BKdV) equation. Then we reduce the 3D-BKdV equation using the symmetry and give some exact solutions of the 3D-BKdV equation. When using the direct method, we restrict a condition and get a relationship between the new solutions and the old ones. Given a solution of the 3D-BKdV equation, we can get a new one from the relationship. The relationship between the symmetry obtained by using the classical Lie method and that obtained by using the direct method is also mentioned. At last, we give the conservation laws of the 3D-BKdV equation.  相似文献

Based on the general direct method developed by Lou et al. [J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 38 (2005) L129], the symmetry group theorem is obtained, from that both the Lie point groups and the non-Lie symmetry groups of the Konopelchenk-Dubrovsky (KD) equation are obtained. From the theorem, some exact solutions of KD equation are derived from a simple travelling wave solution and a multi-soliton solution.  相似文献

The residual symmetry relating to the truncated Painlev′e expansion of the Kadomtsev–Petviashvili(KP) equation is nonlocal, which is localized in this paper by introducing multiple new dependent variables. By using the standard Lie group approach, new symmetry reduction solutions for the KP equation are obtained based on the general form of Lie point symmetry for the prolonged system. In this way, the interaction solutions between solitons and background waves are obtained, which are hard to find by other traditional methods.  相似文献

Starting from a weak Lax pair, the general Lie point symmetry group of the Konopelchenko-Dubrovsky equation is obtained by using the general direct method. And the corresponding Lie algebra structure is proved to be a Kac-Moody-Virasoro type.Furthermore,a new multi-soliton solution for the Konopelchenko-Dubrovsky equation is also given from this symmetry group and a known solution.  相似文献

In this paper, the modified CK's direct method to find symmetry groups of nonlinear partial differential equation is extended to (2+1)-dimensional variable coeffficient canonical generalized KP (VCCGKP) equation. As a result, symmetry groups, Lie point symmetry group and Lie symmetry for the VCCGKP equation are obtained. In fact, the Lie point symmetry group coincides with that obtained by the standard Lie group approach. Applying the given Lie symmetry, we obtain five types of similarity reductions and a lot of new exact solutions, including hyperbolic function solutions, triangular periodic solutions, Jacobi elliptic function solutions and rational solutions, for the VCCGKP equation.  相似文献

By means of the generalized direct method, a relationship is constructed between the new solutions and the old ones of the (3+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equation. Based on the relationship, a new solution is obtained by using a given solution of the equation. The symmetry is also obtained for the (3+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equation. By using the equivalent vector of the symmetry, we construct a seven-dimensional symmetry algebra and get the optimal system of group-invariant solutions. To every case of the optimal system, the (3+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equation is reduced and some solutions to the reduced equations are obtained. Furthermore, some new explicit solutions are found for the (3+ 1)-dimensional breaking soliton equation.  相似文献

Conformal invariance and a new type of conserved quantities of mechanical systems with variable mass in phase space are studied. Firstly, the definition and determining equation of conformal invariance are presented. The relationship between the conformal invariance and the Lie symmetry is given, and the necessary and sufficient condition that the conformal invarianee would be the Lie symmetry under the infinitesimal transformations is provided. Secondly, a new type of conserved quantities of the conformal invariance are obtained by using the Lie symmetry of the system. Lastly, an example is given to illustrate the application of the results.  相似文献

In this paper, the Noether Lie symmetry and conserved quantities of generalized classical mechanical system are studied. The definition and the criterion of the Noether Lie symmetry for the system under the general infinitesimal transformations of groups are given. The Noether conserved quantity and the Hojman conserved quantity deduced from the Noether Lie symmetry are obtained. An example is given to illustrate the application of the results.  相似文献

The Bcklund transformation related symmetry is nonlocal, which is hard to be applied in constructing solutions for nonlinear equations. In this paper, the residual symmetry of the Boussinesq equation is localized to Lie point symmetry by introducing multiple new variables. By applying the general Lie point method, two main results are obtained: a new type of Backlund transformation is derived, from which new solutions can be generated from old ones; the similarity reduction solutions as well as corresponding reduction equations are found. The localization procedure provides an effective way to investigate interaction solutions between nonlinear waves and solitons.  相似文献

This paper studies the conformal invariance and conserved quantities of general holonomic systems in phase space. The definition and the determining equation of conformal invariance for general holonomic systems in phase space are provided. The conformal factor expression is deduced from conformal invariance and Lie symmetry. The relationship between the conformal invariance and the Lie symmetry is discussed, and the necessary and sufficient condition that the conformal invariance would be the Lie symmetry of the system under the infinitesimal single-parameter transformation group is deduced. The conserved quantities of the system are given. An example is given to illustrate the application of the result.  相似文献

In this paper, the relation of the conformal invariance, the Noether symmetry, and the Lie symmetry for the Hamilton system is discussed in detail. The definition of the conformal invariance for Hamilton systems is given. The relation between the conformal invariance and the Noether symmetry is discussed, the conformal factors of the determining expressions are found by using the Noether symmetry, and the Noether conserved quantity resulted from the conformal invariance is obtained. The relation between the conformal invariance and the Lie symmetry is discussed, the conformal factors are found by using the Lie symmetry, and the Hojman conserved quantity resulted from the conformal invariance of the system is obtained. Two examples are given to illustrate the application of the results.  相似文献

A modified direct method is developed to find finite symmetry groups of nonlinear mathematical physics systems. Applying the modified direct method to the well-known (2+1)-dimensional asymmetric Nizhnik-Novikov-Vesselov equation and Nizhnik Novikov-Vesselov equation, both the Lie point symmetry groups and the non-Lie symmetry groups are obtained. The Lie symmetry groups obtained via traditional Lie approaches are only speciai cases. Furthermore, the expressions of the exact finite transformations of the Lie groups are much simpler than those obtained via the standard approaches.  相似文献

In this paper, by using the symmetry method, the relationships between new explicit solutions and old ones of the (2+1)-dimensional Kaup-Kupershmidt (KK) equation are presented. We successfully obtain more general exact travelling wave solutions for (2+ 1)-dimensional KK equation by the symmetry method and the (G1/G)-expansion method. Consequently, we find some new solutions of (2+1)-dimensional KK equation, including similarity solutions, solitary wave solutions, and periodic solutions.  相似文献

The new types of conserved quantities, which are directly induced by Lie symmetry of nonholonomie mechanical systems in phase space, are studied. Firstly, the criterion of the weak Lie symmetry and the strong Lie symmetry are given. Secondly, the conditions of existence of the new type of conserved quantities induced by the weak Lie symmetry and the strong Lie symmetry directly are obtained, and their form is presented. Finaily, an Appell-Hamel example is discussed to further illustrate the applications of the results.  相似文献

By a known transformation, (2 1)-dimensional Brioer Kaup equations are turned to a single equation. The classical Lie symmetry analysis and similarity reductions are performed for this single equation. From some of reduction equations, new exact solutions are obtained, which contain previous results, and more exact solutions can be created directly by abundant known solutions of the Burgers equations and the heat equations.  相似文献

This paper focuses on studying non-Noether conserved quantities of Lie symmetry and of form invariance for a mechanical system in phase space under the general infinitesimal transformation of groups. We obtain a new non-Noether conserved quantity of Lie symmetry of the system, and Hojman and Mei's results are of special cases of our conclusion. We find a condition under which the form invariance of the system will lead to a Lie symmetry, and, further, obtain a new non-Noether conserved quantity of form invariance of the system. An example is given finally to illustrate these results.  相似文献

In this paper, a new kind of symmetry and its conserved quantities of a mechanical system in phase space are studied. The definition of this new symmetry, i.e. a Noether--Lie symmetry, is presented, and the criterion of this symmetry is also given. The Noether conserved quantity and the generalized Hojman conserved quantity of the Noether--Lie symmetry of the system are obtained. The Noether--Lie symmetry contains the Noether symmetry and the Lie symmetry, and has more generalized significance.  相似文献

The nonlocal symmetry of the generalized fifth order KdV equation(FOKdV) is first obtained by using the related Lax pair and then localizing it in a new enlarged system by introducing some new variables. On this basis, new Ba¨cklund transformation is obtained through Lie's first theorem. Furthermore, the general form of Lie point symmetry for the enlarged FOKdV system is found and new interaction solutions for the generalized FOKdV equation are explored by using a symmetry reduction method.  相似文献
