The synthesis of the new terpyridine-containing macrocycle 2,5,8,11,14-pentaaza[15](6,6' ')cyclo(2,2':6',2' ')terpyridinophane (L) is reported. The ligand contains a pentaamine chain linking the 6,6' ' positions of a terpyridine unit. A potentiometric, (1)H NMR, UV-vis spectrophotometric and fluorescence emission study on the acid-base properties of L in aqueous solutions shows that the first four protonation steps occur on the polyamine chain, whereas the terpyridine nitrogens are involved in proton binding only at strongly acidic pH values. L can form both mono- and dinuclear Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II) complexes in aqueous solution. The crystal structures of the Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes ([ZnLH](2)(micro-OH))(ClO(4))(5) (6) and ([CdLH](2)(micro-Br))(ClO(4))(5).4H(2)O (7) show that two mononuclear [MLH](3+) units are coupled by a bridging anion (OH(-) in 6 and Br(-) in 7) and pi-stacking interactions between the terpyridine moieties. A potentiometric and spectrophotometric study shows that in the case of Cu(II) and Zn(II) the dimeric assemblies are also formed in aqueous solution containing the ligand and the metals in a 1:1 molar ratio. Protonation of the complexes or the addition of a second metal ion leads to the disruption of the dimers due to the increased electrostatic repulsions between the two monomeric units.  相似文献

The interaction with Cu2+ and dopamine of three polyazacyclophanes containing pyrazole fragments as spacers is described. Formation of mixed complexes Cu2+-macrocycle-dopamine has been studied by potentiometric methods in aqueous solution. The crystal structures of the complexes [Cu2(L1)(H2O)2](ClO4)4*2H2O (4) (L1 = 13,26-dibenzyl-3,6,9,12,13,16,19,22,25,26-decaazatricyclo[22.2.1.1(11,14)]octacosa-1(27),11,14(28),24-tetraene) and [Cu2(H-1L3)](HClO4)(ClO4)2*2H2O (6) (L3 = 1,4,7,8,11,14,17,20,21,24,29,32,33,36-tetradecaazapentacyclo[12.12.12.1(6,9).1(19,22).1(31,34)]hentetraconta-6,9(41),19(40),21,31,34(39)-hexaene) are presented. In the first one (4), each Cu2+ coordination site is made up by the three nitrogens of the polyamine bridge, a sp2 pyrazole nitrogen and one water molecule that occupies the axial position of a square pyramid. The distance between the copper ions is 6.788(2) A. In the crystal structure of 6, the coordination geometry around each Cu2+ is square pyramidal with its base being formed by two secondary nitrogens of the bridge and two nitrogen atoms of two different pyrazolate units which act as exobidentate ligands. The axial positions are occupied by the bridgehead nitrogen atoms; the elongation is more pronounced in one of the two sites [Cu(1)-N(1), 2.29(2) A; Cu(2)-N(6), 2.40(1) A]. The Cu-N distances involving the deprotonated pyrazole moieties are significantly shorter than those of the secondary nitrogens. The Cu(1)...Cu(2) distance is 3.960(3) A. The pyrazole in the noncoordinating bridge does not deprotonate and lies to one side of the macrocyclic cavity. One of the aliphatic nitrogens of this bridge is protonated and hydrogen bonded to a water molecule, which is further connected to the sp2 nitrogen of the pyrazole moiety through a hydrogen bond. The solution studies reveal a ready deprotonation of the pyrazole units induced by coordination to Cu2+. In the case of L2 (L2 = 3,6,9,12,13,16,19,22,25,26-decaazatricyclo[22.2.1.1(11,14)]octacosa-1(27),11,14(28),24-tetraene), deprotonation of both pyrazole subunits is already observed at pH ca. 4 for 2:1 Cu2+:L2 molar ratios. All three free receptors interact with dopamine in aqueous solution. L3 is a receptor particularly interesting with respect to the values of the interaction constants over five logarithmic units at neutral pH, which might suggest an encapsulation of dopamine in the macrocyclic cage. All three receptors form mixed complexes Cu2+-L-dopamine. The affinity for the formation of ternary dopamine complexes is particularly high in the case of the binuclear Cu2+ complexes of the 1-benzyl derivative L1.  相似文献

New N-(3-aminopropyl) (L1, L2) and (2-cyanoethyl) (L3, L4) derivatives of a 14-membered tetraazamacrocycle containing pyridine have been synthesized. The protonation constants of L1 and L2 and the stability constants of their complexes with Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+ and Cd2+ metal ions were determined in aqueous solutions by potentiometry, at 298.2 K and ionic strength 0.10 mol dm(-3) in KNO3. Both compounds have high overall basicity due to the presence of the aminopropyl arms. Their copper(II) complexes exhibit very high stability constants, which sharply decrease for the complexes of the other studied metal ions, as usually happens with polyamine ligands. Mono- and dinuclear complexes are formed with L2 as well as with L1, but the latter exhibits mononuclear complexes with slightly higher K(ML) values while the dinuclear complexes of L2 are thermodynamically more stable. The presence of these species in solution was supported by UV-VIS-NIR and EPR spectroscopic data. The single crystal structures of [Cu(H2L2)(ClO4)]3+ and [CoL3Cl]+ revealed that the metal centres are surrounded by the four nitrogen atoms of the macrocycle and one monodentate ligand, adopting distorted square pyramidal geometries. In the [CoL3Cl]+ complex, the macrocycle adopts a folded arrangement with the nitrogen atom opposite to the pyridine at the axial position while in the [Cu(H2L2)(ClO4)]3+ complex, the macrocycle adopts a planar conformation with the three aminopropyl arms located at the same side of the macrocyclic plane.  相似文献

The dinuclear Cu2+ and Zn2+ as well as the mixed Cu2+-Zn2+ complexes of a 5,5'-pentaazaterpyridinophane ligand (L) are able to incorporate imidazolate (Im-) as a bridging ligand. The crystal structure of [Cu(2)L(Im)(Br)(H2O)](CF(3)SO(3))(2).3H2O (1) shows one copper coordinated by the three pyridine nitrogens of the terpyridine unit, one nitrogen of the imidazolate bridge (Im-) and one bromide anion occupying the axial position of a distorted square pyramid. The second copper atom is coordinated by the remaining imidazolate nitrogen, the three secondary nitrogens at the centre of the polyamine bridge and one water molecule that occupies the axial position. Magnetic measurements have been performed in the 2.0-300.0 K temperature range. Experimental data could be satisfactorily reproduced by using an isotropic exchange model H = -JS(1)S(2) with J = -52.3 cm(-1) and g = 2.09. Potentiometric studies have provided details of the speciation and stability constants for the mixed Cu2+-L-HIm, Zn2+-L-HIm (HIm = imidazole) and Cu2+-Zn2+-L-HIm systems. The apparent stability constant obtained at pH = 9 for the addition of imidazole to the dinuclear Cu2+ complexes is one of the highest so far reported (log K = 7.5). UV-Vis spectroscopy and paramagnetic NMR data show that imidazole coordinates to the Cu2+ ions as a bridging imidazolate ligand from pH 5 to 10. Electrochemical reduction of the Cu2+-Zn2+-L complex occurs in two successive one-electron per copper ion quasi-reversible steps. The formal potential of the Cu2+-Zn2+-L/Cu+-Zn2+-L couple is close to that of SOD. The IC50 values measured at pH 7.8 by means of the nitro blue tetrazolium method show significant SOD activity for the dinuclear Cu2+ complexes (IC50 = 2.5 microM) and moderate activity for the Cu2+-Zn2+ mixed systems (IC50 = 30 microM).  相似文献

Two tricyanometallate precursors, (Bu4N)[(Tp4Bo)Fe(CN)3].H2O.2MeCN (1) and (Bu4N)[(pzTp)Fe(CN)3] (2) [Bu4N+ = tetrabutylammonium cation; Tp4Bo = tris(indazolyl)hydroborate; pzTp = tetrakis(pyrazolyl)borate], with a low-spin FeIII center have been synthesized and characterized. The reactions of 1 or 2 with [Cu(Me3tacn)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (Me3tacn = N,N',N' '-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane) afford two pentanuclear cyano-bridged clusters, [(Tp4Bo)2(Me3tacn)3Cu3Fe2(CN)6](ClO4)4.5H2O (3) and [(pzTp)2(Me3tacn)3Cu3Fe2(CN)6](ClO4)4.4H2O (4), respectively. Assembly reactions between 2 and [Ni(phen)(CH3OH)4](ClO4)2 (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) or Zn(OAc)2.2H2O afford a molecular box [(pzTp)4(phen)4Ni4Fe4(CH3OH)4(CN)12](ClO4)4.4H2O (5) and a rectangular cluster [(pzTp)2Zn2Fe2(OAc)2(H2O)2(CN)6] (6). Their molecular structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In complexes 1 and 2, the central FeIII ions are coordinated by three cyanide carbon atoms and three nitrogen atoms of Tp4Bo- or pzTp-. Both complexes 3 and 4 show a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry, in which [(L)Fe(CN)3]- units occupy the apical positions and are linked through cyanide to [Cu(Me3tacn)]2+ units situated in the equatorial plane. Complex 5 possesses a cubic arrangement of eight metal irons linked through edge-spanning cyanide bridges, while complex 6 shows Zn2Fe2(CN)4 rectangular structure, in which FeIII and ZnII ions are alternately bridged by the cyanide groups. Intramolecular ferromagnetic couplings are observed for complexes 3-5, and they have S = 5/2, 5/2, and 6 ground states and appreciable magnetic anisotropies with negative D values equal to -0.49, -2.39, and -0.39 cm-1, respectively.  相似文献

By using the neutral bidentate nitrogen-containing ligand, bis(3,5-diisopropyl-1-pyrazolyl)methane (L1' '), the copper(I) complexes [Cu(L1' ')2](CuCl2) (1CuCl2), [Cu(L1' ')2](ClO4) (1ClO4), [Cu(L1' ')]2(ClO4)2 (2ClO4), [Cu(L1' ')]2(BF4)2 (2BF4), [Cu(L1' ')(NCMe)](PF6) (3PF6), [Cu(L1' ')(PPh3)](ClO4) (4ClO4), [Cu(L1' ')(PPh3)](PF6) (4PF6), [{Cu(L1' ')(CO)}2(mu-ClO4)](ClO4) (5ClO4), and the copper(II) complexes [{Cu(L1' ')}2(mu-OH)2(mu-ClO4)2] (6), and [Cu(L1' ')Cl2] (7) were systematically synthesized and fully characterized by X-ray crystallography and by IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. In the case of copper(II), ESR spectroscopy was also applied. In comparison with the related neutral tridentate ligand L1', bis-chelated copper(I) complexes and binuclear linear-coordinated copper(I) complexes are easy to obtain with L1' ', like 1CuCl2, 1ClO4, 2ClO4, and 2BF4. Importantly, stronger and bulkier ligands such as acetonitrile (3PF6) and especially triphenylphosphine (4ClO4 and 4PF6) generate three-coordinate structures with a trigonal-planar geometry. Surprisingly, for the smaller ligand carbon monoxide, a mononuclear three-coordinate structure is very unstable, leading to the formation of a binuclear complex (5ClO4) with one bridging perchlorate anion, such that the copper(I) centers are four-coordinate. The same tendency is observed for the copper(II) bis(mu-hydroxo) compounds 6, which is additionally bridged by two perchlorate anions. Both copper(II) complexes 6 and 7 were obtained by molecular O2 oxidation of the corresponding copper(I) complexes. A comparison of the new copper(I) triphenylphosphine complexes 4ClO4 and 4PF6 with corresponding species obtained with the related tridentate ligands L1' and L1 (8ClO4 and 9, respectively) reveals surprisingly small differences in their spectroscopic properties. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations are used to shed light on the differences in bonding in these compounds and the spectral assignments. Finally, the reactivity of the different bis(pyrazolyl)methane complexes obtained here toward PPh3, CO, and O2 is discussed.  相似文献

New homo trinuclear Zn(II) complexes [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)](ClO(4))(2).3CHCl(3).H(2)O, 1, and [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)].ClO(4).PF(6).5CH(3)OH.H(2)O, 2, and hetero trinuclear complex [Zn(2)CuL(1)(micro-OAc)](ClO(4))(2).3CHCl(3).H(2)O,3, of optically active hexaaza triphenolic macrocycle H(3)L(1) were synthesized and crystallographically characterized. The cation [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)](+) structure of 1 and 2 closely resembles the trinuclear Zn(II) active site of P1 nuclease. The distorted tetrahedral geometry of Zn3 was successfully reproduced at Cu1 in complex 3. The complexes 2 and 3 cleave CT DNA at 37 and 50 degrees C.  相似文献

The reaction equilibria [H(4)L](2+) + Zn(OAc)(2) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(H(2)L)](2+) + 2HOAc (K(1)) and [Zn(H(2)L)](2+) + Zn(OAc)(2) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(2)L](2+) + 2HOAc (K(2)), involving zinc acetate and the perchlorate salts of the tetraiminodiphenol macrocycles [H(4)L(1)(-)(3)](ClO(4))(2), the lateral (CH(2))(n)() chains of which vary between n = 2 and n = 4, have been studied by spectrophotometric and spectrofluorimetric titrations in acetonitrile. The photoluminescence behavior of the complexes [Zn(2)L(1)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-O(2)CR)](ClO(4)) (R = CH(3), C(6)H(5), p-CH(3)C(6)H(4), p-OCH(3)C(6)H(4), p-ClC(6)H(4), p-NO(2)C(6)H(4)), and [Zn(2)L(3)(mu-OAc)](ClO(4)) have been investigated. The X-ray crystal structures of the complexes [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(3)(mu-OAc)](ClO(4)), and [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(OBz)(H(3)O)](ClO(4)) have been determined. The complex [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(OBz)(H(3)O)](ClO(4)) in which the coordinated water molecule is present as the hydronium ion (H(3)O(+)) on deprotonation gives rise to the neutral dibenzoate-bridged compound [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(2)].H(2)O. The equilibrium constants (K) for the reaction [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) + A(-) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(2)L(2)A](+) + 2H(2)O (K), where A(-) = acetate, benzoate, or the carboxylate moiety of the amino acids glycine, l-alanine, l-histidine, l-valine, and l-proline, have been determined spectrofluorimetrically in aqueous solution (pH 6-7) at room temperature. The binding constants (K) evaluated for these systems vary in the range (1-8) x 10(5).  相似文献

A new Cd(II) complex [Cd3(L)3(mu3-CO3)](ClO4)4.2CH3CN (1) with two-dimensional (2D) network structure was obtained by reaction of an imidazole-containing tripodal polyamine ligand N1-(2-aminoethyl)-N1-(2-imidazolethyl)-ethane-1,2-diamine (L) with Cd(ClO4)2.6H2O at pH 9.0 in air. The carbonate anions (CO3(2-)) are from the hydration of the atmospheric carbon dioxide, which is the same as in the previously reported Cu(II) complex [Cu3(L)3(mu3-CO3)](ClO4)4.3CH3CN (2). However, the coordination mode of CO3(2-) in 1 is mu3-eta2:eta2:eta2 while the one in 2 is mu3-eta1:eta1:eta1. One-dimensional (1D) chain Cd(II) and Cu(II) complexes [Cd(L)Cl]ClO4.H2O (3) and [Cu(L)(H2O)](ClO4)2 (4) without CO3(2-) were prepared by a similar method as that for 1 and 2 except for the different reaction pH, namely, 3 and 4 were obtained at pH 7 while 1 and 2 were obtained at pH 9. In addition, when Cu(NO3)2 was used to react with L at pH 9, a unique 1D double-stranded helical chain complex [Cu(L)Cl]NO3.1.25H2O (5) was obtained. The results revealed that the reaction pH and the counteranion have great impact on the carbon dioxide absorption and hydration as well as on the assembling and structure of the complexes. The magnetic property of complex 2 was investigated in the temperature range of 1.8-300 K, and weak ferromagnetic coupling among the mu3-eta1:eta1:eta1-CO3(2-) bridged Cu(II) atoms was observed.  相似文献

The synthesis of a new oxaaza macrocyclic ligand, L, derived from O(1),O(7)-bis(2-formylphenyl)-1,4,7-trioxaheptane and tren containing an amine terminal pendant arm, and its metal complexation with alkaline earth (M = Ca(2+), Sr(2+), Ba(2+)), transition (M = Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+)), post-transition (M = Pb(2+)), and Y(3+) and lanthanide (M = La(3+), Er(3+)) metal ions are reported. Crystal structures of [H(2)L](ClO(4))(2).3H(2)O, [PbL](ClO(4))(2), and [ZnLCl](ClO(4)).H(2)O are also reported. In the [PbL] complex, the metal ion is located inside the macrocyclic cavity coordinated by all N(4)O(3) donor atoms while, in the [ZnLCl] complex, the metal ion is encapsulated only by the nitrogen atoms present in the ligand. pi-pi interactions in the [H(2)L](ClO(4))(2).3H(2)O and [PbL](ClO(4))(2) structures are observed. Protonation and Zn(2+), Cd(2+), and Cu(2+) complexation were studied by means of potentiometric, UV-vis, and fluorescent emission measurements. The 10-fold fluorescence emission increase observed in the pH range 7-9 in the presence of Zn(2+) leads to L as a good sensor for this biological metal in water solution.  相似文献

Two aza scorpionand-like macrocycles (L2 and L3) have been prepared. L2 consists of a tren amine with two of its arms cyclizized with a 2,6-bis(bromomethyl)pyridine. In L3, the remaining pendant arm has been further functionalized with a fluorophoric naphthalene group. X-ray data on the compounds [H(L3)]ClO4.H2O (1) and [H3(L3)](H2PO4)3.H2O (2) as well as solution studies (pH-metry, UV-vis, and fluorescence data) show the movement of the pendant arm as a result of the protonation degree of the macrocycles and of the formation of intramolecular hydrogen bonds. X-ray data on the complexes [Cu(L2)](ClO4)2]2.H2O (3) and [Cu(L3)](ClO4)2 (4) and solution studies on Cu2+ coordination show the implication of the nitrogen of the arm in the binding to the metal ion. Kinetic studies on the decomposition and formation of the Cu2+ complexes provide additional information about the pH-dependent molecular reorganizations. Moreover, the obtained information suggests that the kinetics of the tail on/off process is essentially independent of the lability of the metal center.  相似文献

A series of first row transition metal complexes of the tripodal ligand 2,2',2"-nitrilotribenzoic acid H3L has been prepared and characterised by X-ray crystallography: Mononuclear [M(L)]- species [Cu(H2O)4]3[Cu(L)(H2O)]6.25H2O (2), [Co(H2O)6][Co(L)(H2O)].8H2O (4), [Zn(H2O)6][Zn(L)(H2O)].8H2O (5) and a neutral [M(L)] complex [Fe(III)2(L)(H2O)3].5H2O (8) are formed as well as dimeric [M(L)]2 2- species (HNEt3)2[Cu(L)]2.2CH3CN (1), (HNEt3)3[Ni(L)]2(ClO4).H2O (3), (HNEt3)2[Fe(II)(L)]2.2CH3CN (6) and (HNEt3)2[Fe(III)2(L)2(mu-O)](7). The complexes display a unique variation in the M-N distance (2.09 A for Cu(II) to 3.29 A for Fe(III)) to the bridgehead triphenylamine donor and are classified into compounds with "On","Off" and "Intermediate" N-coordination. The trigonal-bipyramidal coordination polyhedron changes towards tetrahedral in the intermediate and octahedral in the Off-state. The M-N distance of individual complexes is reversibly tuned by external chemical input such as changes of metal ion oxidation state (Fe(II)/Fe(III)) or variation of the axial coligand as a consequence of solvent or pH variation. Possible reasons for the exceptional tolerance of the M-N bond to distance variations are discussed under consideration of gas phase DFT calculations of [Zn(L)]-.  相似文献

Seven new pyridine dicarboxamide ligands H2L(1-7) have been synthesised from condensation reactions involving pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (H2dipic), pyridine-2,6-dicarbonyl dichloride or 2,6-diaminopyridine with heterocyclic amine or carboxylic acid precursors. Crystallographic analyses of N,N'-bis(2-pyridyl)pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide monohydrate (H2L8 x H2O), N,N'-bis[2-(2-pyridyl)methyl]pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide and N,N'-bis[2-(2-pyridyl)ethyl]pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide monohydrate revealed extensive intramolecular hydrogen bonding interactions. 2,6-Bis(pyrazine-2-carboxamido)pyridine (H2L6) and 2,6-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)pyridine (H2L7) reacted with copper(II) acetate monohydrate to give tricopper(II) complexes [Cu3(L)2(mu2-OAc)2]. X-Ray crystallography confirmed deprotonation of the amidic nitrogen atoms and that the (L6,7)2- ligands and acetate anions hold three copper(II) ions in approximately linear fashion. H2L8. Reacted with copper(II) tetrakis(pyridine) perchlorate to give [Cu(L8)(OH2)]2 x 2H2O, in which (L8)2- was tridentate through the nitrogen atoms of the central pyridine ring and the deprotonated carboxamide groups at one copper centre, with one of the terminal pyridyl rings coordinating to the other copper atom in the dimer. The corresponding reaction using H2L7 gave [Cu3(L7)2(py)2][ClO4]2, which transformed during an attempted recrystallisation from ethanol under aerobic conditions to a tetracopper(II) complex [Cu4(L7)2(L7-O)2].  相似文献

Reactions of perchlorates of iron(II), nickel(II), and zinc(II) with 2,2':6',2':6',2'"-quaterpyridine (qtpy) gave the first crystallographically established bis-qtpy metal complexes of formula [M(qtpy)(2)][ClO(4)](2) (M = Fe, Ni, Zn). Coordination of two terdentate quaterpyridines to the same center produces a distorted octahedron of six nitrogen atoms around the metal, leaving two pendant pyridyl groups, one for each quaterpyridine. For the diamagnetic zinc system, an NMR investigation has been carried out in order to establish the conditions to obtain the intermediate mono-qtpy complex, of formula [Zn(qtpy)(H(2)O)(2)][ClO(4)](2), which has also been crystallographically established. The corresponding hexafluorophosphate derivatives [M(qtpy)(2)][PF(6)](2) (M = Ni and Zn) were prepared in DMF at room temperature.  相似文献

The pK(a)s and Zn2+, Cd2+ and Cu2+ complexation constants (K) for 1,4,7-tris[(2'S)-acetamido-2'-(methyl-3'-phenylpropionate)]-1,4,7-triazacyclononane, 1, 1,4,7-tris[(2'S)-acetamido-2'-(1'-carboxy-3'-phenylpropane)]-1,4,7-triazacyclononane, H(3)2, 1,4,7-tris[(2'S)-acetamido-2'-(methyl-3'-(1H-3-indolyl)propionate)]-1,4,7-triazacyclononane, 3, and 1,4,7,10-tetrakis[(2'S)-acetamido-2'-(methyl-3'-phenylpropionate)]-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane, 4, 1,4,7,10-tetrakis[(2'S)-acetamido-2'-(1'-carboxy-3'-phenylpropane)]-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane, H(4)5, in 20 : 80 v/v water-methanol solution are reported. The pK(a)s within the potentiometric detection range for H(3)1(3+) = 8.69 and 3.59, for H(6)2(3+) = 9.06, 6.13, 4.93 and 4.52, H(3)3(3+) = 8.79 and 3.67, H(4)4(4+) = 8.50, 5.62 and 3.77 and for H(8)5(4+) = 9.89, 7.06, 5.53, 5.46, 4.44 and 4.26 where each tertiary amine nitrogen is protonated. The complexes of 1: [Zn(1)]2+(9.00), [Cd(1)]2+ (6.49), [Cd(H1)]3+ (4.54) and [Cu(1)]2+ (10.01) are characterized by the log(K/dm3 mol(-1)) values shown in parentheses. Analogous complexes are formed by 3 and 4: [Zn(3)]2+ (10.19), [Cd(3)]2+ (8.54), [Cu(3)]2+ (10.77), [Zn(4)]2+ (11.41) [Cd(4)]2+ (9.16), [Cd(H4)]3+ (6.16) and [Cu(4)]2+ (11.71). The tricarboxylic acid H(3)2 generates a greater variety of complexes as exemplified by: [Zn(2)-] (10.68) [Zn(H2)] (6.60) [Zn(H(2)2)+] (5.15), [Cd(2)](-) (4.99), [Cd(H2)] (4.64), [Cd(H2(2))]+ (3.99), [Cd(H(3)2)]2+ (3.55), [Cu(2)](-) (12.55) [Cu(H2)] (7.66), [Cu(H(2)2)]+ (5.54) and [Cu(2)2](4-) (3.23). The complexes of H(4)5 were insufficiently soluble to study in this way. The 1H and 13C NMR spectra of the ligands are consistent with formation of a predominant Zn2+ and Cd2+ Delta or Lambda diastereomer. The preparations of the new pendant arm macrocycles H(3)2, 3, 4 and H(4)5 are reported.  相似文献

Zinc complexes of the unsymmetric, binucleating Schiff base ligands 3-(N-[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl]iminomethyl)-salicylic acid (H2L1) and 3-[N-(2-pyridylmethyl)iminomethyl]-salicylic acid (H2L2) have been studied in the solid state as well as in solution. Reaction of ZnX2 (X = NO3-, CH3CO2-) with 3-formylsalicylic acid and N,N-dimethylethylenediamine at neutral or slightly acidic pH afforded the dinuclear complexes [Zn2(HL1)2(H2O)2](NO3)2.2H2O (1a) and [Zn2(HL1)2(CH3CO2)2].6H2O (1b). The Zn ions, which are 3.126(1) A (1a) and 3.2665(7) A (1b) apart, are bridged by two phenolate oxygens. Further coordination sites of the ligand are the imine nitrogen and carboxylate oxygen, while the amino nitrogen is protonated. On dissolution in DMSO or DMF, 1a and 1b are converted into the mononuclear species [Zn(HL1)]+. Cleavage of the dinuclear complexes is accompanied by migration of the ammonium proton to the carboxylate group and coordination of the amino nitrogen to Zn. Reaction of 1b with base yielded the novel tetranuclear Zn complex [Zn4(L1)4].6.5H2O (2) that exhibits coordination number asymmetry. The four Zn ions having N2O3 and N2O4 coordination environments are located at the corners of a nearly square-planar rectangle. H2L2 binds Zn via the phenolate oxygen and, imine and pyridine nitrogens in acidic solution. Deprotonation of the carboxyl group in alkaline solution gave the tetranuclear compound [Zn4(L2)4].4.5H2O (4) with a cubane-like Zn4O4 core.  相似文献

Two mononuclear copper(II) complexes with the unsymmetrical tridentate ligand 2-[((imidazol-2-ylmethylidene)amino)ethyl]pyridine (HL), [Cu(HL)(H2O)](ClO4)2.2H2O (1) and [Cu(HL)Cl2] (2), have been prepared and characterized. The X-ray analysis of 2 revealed that the copper(II) ion assumes a pentacoordinated square pyramidal geometry with an N3Cl2 donor set. When 1 and 2 are treated with an equimolecular amount of potassium hydroxide, the deprotonation of the imidazole moiety promotes a self-assembled process, by coordination of the imidazolate nitrogen atom to a Cu(II) center of an adjacent unit, leading to the polynuclear complexes [[Cu(L)(H2O)](ClO4)]n (3) and [[Cu(L)Cl].2H2O]n (4). Variable-temperature magnetic data are well reproduced for one-dimensional infinite regular chain systems with J = -60.3 cm(-1) and g = 2.02 for 3 and J = -69.5 cm(-1) and g = 2.06, for 4. When 1 is used as a "ligand complex" for [M(hfac)2] (M = Cu(II), Ni(II), Mn(II), Zn(II)) in a basic medium, only the imidazolate-bridged trinuclear complexes [Cu(L)(hfac)M(hfac)2Cu(hfac)(L)] (M = Zn(II), Cu(II)) (5, 6) can be isolated. Nevertheless, the analogous complex containing Mn(II) as the central metal (7) can be prepared from the precursor [Cu(HL)Cl2] (2). All the trinuclear complexes are isostructural. The structures of 5 and 6 have been solved by X-ray crystallographic methods and consist of well-isolated molecules with Ci symmetry, the center of symmetry being located at the central metal. Thus, the copper(II) fragments are in trans positions, leading to a linear conformation. The magnetic susceptibility data (2-300 K), which reveal the occurrence of antiferromagnetic interactions between copper(II) ions and the central metal, were quantitatively analyzed for symmetrical three-spin systems to give the coupling parameters JCuCu = -37.2 and JCuMn = -3.7 cm(-1) with D = +/-0.4 cm(-1) for 6 and 7, respectively. These magnetic behaviors are compared with those for analogous systems and discussed on the basis of a localized-orbital model of exchange interactions.  相似文献

The macrocyclic ligand [13]aneN 4 ( L1, 1,4,7,10-tetra-azacyclotridecane) was reacted with Zn(II) perchlorate and CO 2 in an alkaline methanol solution. It was found that, by means of subtle changes in reaction conditions, two types of complexes can be obtained: (a) the mu 3 carbonate complex 1, {[Zn( L1)] 3(mu 3-CO 3)}(ClO 4) 4, rhombohedral crystals, space group R3 c, with pentacoordinate zinc in a trigonal bipyramidal enviroment, and (b) an unprecedenced dimeric Zn(II) carbamate structure, 2, [Zn( L2)] 2(ClO 4) 2, monoclinic crystals, space group P2 1/ n. The ligand L2 (4-carboxyl-1,4,7,10-tetra-azacyclotridecane) is a carbamate derivative of L1, obtained by transformation of a hydrogen atom of one of the NH moieties into carbamate by means of CO 2 uptake. In compound 2, the distorted tetrahedral Zn(II) coordinates to the carbamate moiety in a monodentate manner. Most notably, carbamate formation can occur upon reaction of CO 2 with the [Zn L1] (2+) complex, which implicates that a Zn-N linkage is cleaved upon attack of CO 2. Since complexes of tetra-azamacrocycles and Zn(II) are routinely applied for enzyme model studies, this finding implies that the Zn-azamacrocycle moiety generally should no longer be considered to play always only an innocent role in reactions. Rather, its reactivity has to be taken into account in respective investigations. In the presence of water, 2 is transformed readily into carbonate 1. Both compounds have been additionally characterized by solid-state NMR and infrared spectroscopy. A thorough comparison of 1 with related azamacrocycle ligated zinc(II) carbonates as well as a discussion of plausible reaction paths for the formation of 2 are given. Furthermore, the infrared absorptions of the carbamate moiety have been assigned by calculating the vibrational modes of the carbamate complex using DFT methods and the vibrational spectroscopy calculation program package SNF.  相似文献

The complexes [Cu(phen)(3)](ClO(4))(2) 1, [Cu(5,6-dmp)(3)](ClO(4))(2) 2, [Cu(dpq)(3)](ClO(4))(2) 3, [Zn(phen)(3)](ClO(4))(2) 4, [Zn(5,6-dmp)(3)](ClO(4))(2) 5 and [Zn(dpq)(3)](ClO(4))(2) 6, where phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, 5,6-dmp = 5,6-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline and dpq = dipyrido[3,2-d:2',3'-f]quinoxaline, have been isolated, characterized and their interaction with calf thymus DNA studied by using a host of physical methods. The X-ray crystal structures of rac-[Cu(5,6-dmp)(3)](ClO(4))(2) and rac-[Zn(5,6-dmp)(3)](ClO(4))(2) have been determined. While 2 possesses a regular elongated octahedral coordination geometry (REO), 5 possesses a distorted octahedral geometry. Absorption spectral titrations of the Cu(II) complexes with CT DNA reveal that the red-shift (12 nm) and DNA binding affinity of 3 (K(b), 7.5 x 10(4) M(-1)) are higher than those of 1 (red-shift, 6 nm; K(b), 9.6 x 10(3) M(-1)) indicating that the partial insertion of the extended phen ring of dpq ligand in between the DNA base pairs is deeper than that of phen ring. Also, 2 with a fluxional Cu(II) geometry interacts with DNA (K(b), 3.8 x 10(4) M(-1)) more strongly than 1 suggesting that the hydrophobic forces of interaction of 5,6 methyl groups on the phen ring is more pronounced than the partial intercalation of phen ring in the latter with a static geometry. The DNA binding affinity of 1 is lower than that of its Zn(ii) analogue 4, and, interestingly, the DNA binding affinity 2 of with a fluxional geometry is higher than that of its Zn(II) analogue 5 with a spherical geometry. It is remarkable that upon binding to DNA 3 shows an increase in viscosity higher than that the intercalator EthBr does, which is consistent with the above DNA binding affinities. The CD spectra show only one induced CD band on the characteristic positive band of CT DNA upon interaction with the phen (1,4) and dpq (3,6) complexes. In contrast, the 5,6-dmp complexes 2 and 5 bound to CT DNA show exciton-coupled biphasic CD signals with 2 showing CD signals more intense than 5. The Delta-enantiomer of rac-[Cu(5,6-dmp)(3)](2+) 2 binds specifically to the right-handed B-form of CT DNA at lower ionic strength (0.05 M NaCl) while the Lambda-enantiomer binds specifically to the left-handed Z-form of CT DNA generated by treating the B-form with 5 M NaCl. The complex 2 is stabilized in the higher oxidation state of Cu(II) more than its phen analogue 1 upon binding to DNA suggesting the involvement of electrostatic forces in DNA interaction of the former. In contrast, 3 bound to DNA is stabilized as Cu(I) rather than the Cu(II) oxidation state due to partial intercalative interaction of the dpq ligand. The efficiencies of the complexes to oxidatively cleave pUC19 DNA vary in the order, 3> 1 > 2 with 3 effecting 100% cleavage even at 10 microM complex concentration. However, interestingly, this order is reversed when the DNA cleavage is performed using H(2)O(2) as an activator and the highest cleavage efficiency of 2 is ascribed to its electrostatic interaction with the exterior phosphates of DNA.  相似文献
