质子交换铌酸锂光波导的红外吸收光谱   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:1  
用尼高力 36 0型红外吸收光谱仪对用已二酸 (Adipicacid)和苯甲酸 (Benzoicacid)的不同摩尔比混合作为质子源进行质子交换制作的Z切铌酸锂光波导进行红外吸收光谱分析。表明 :OH-自由基团在 35 0 0cm-1处存在吸收峰 ,对应于质子交换中替代质子的特征 ,OH-氢键在 70 0cm-1处存在另一个吸收峰 ,对应于交换中的填充质子的特征。当两种不同的质子源以不同的摩尔比例混合时 ,质子源中的H 浓度不同 ,进行交换的速度也不同 ,结果导致在 35 0 0和 70 0cm-1两处的峰的强度发生变化。而这两个峰强度之比值可作为制作高质量铌酸锂光波导的重要依据 ,因此 ,对这两个峰的研究对制作高质量的铌酸锂光波导具有重要的意义  相似文献

研究了基于级联二阶非线性的铌酸锂波导全光波长变换器的特性.首先从耦合模方程出发,比较了数值分析结果与小信号近似分析的结果.其次在数值分析基础上,分析了铌酸锂晶体的温度变化导致相应基频光波波长与极化反转光栅周期的变化关系.最后分析了在不同相互作用长度下,转换的光波功率与有效基频光波波长带宽、温度调谐带宽、极化反转光栅周期带宽等关系,以对全光波长变换器件进行优化设计 关键词: 级联二阶非线性 波长变换 准位相匹配 铌酸锂光波导  相似文献

基于PPLN波导中倍频与差频效应的全光波长转换   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
对准相位匹配的铌酸锂光波导中基于倍频与差频级联二阶非线性效应的全光波长转换进行了研究.在建立理论模型的基础上,分别对单脉冲以及序列光脉冲的波长转换过程进行了数值模拟,并对转换过程中的走离现象以及脉冲延迟进行了分析.模拟结果表明信号光与抽运光脉冲非同步输入的情况下可以克服走离效应的影响,得到更好的转换效率.另外,在抽运时钟脉冲的驱动下,输入的40 Gb/s的NRZ信号光可以转换为RZ转换光,且波形较好.  相似文献

针对Z切割铌酸锂晶体在中心波长为800 nm、重复频率为76 MHz的飞秒脉冲激光下,利用放大倍数为40、数值孔径为0.65的会聚透镜聚焦,研究了扫描速度和扫描次数的变化对刻写光波导结构的影响,分析了波导结构变化的原因,并测试了1×2光波导功分器的通光性能.实验结果表明:在采用横向扫描、聚焦深度为350~400 μm、扫描速度为100 μm/s和激光功率为250 mW时,获得较理想的铌酸锂光波导,1×2光波导功分器的输出功率分布基本达到均分.  相似文献

研究了飞秒激光加工参量对刻写质量的影响,分析了激光能量吸收的多光子效应,测试了刻写通道的传输特性.实验结果表明,激光刻写的通道具有良好的波导特性:当激光脉冲能量在20 μJ左右,扫描速度在300 μm/s~400 μm/s之间时,刻写通道的传输损耗小于1 dB/cm,低于晶体的传输损耗,其原因是激光诱导锂离子的扩散引起了晶体内部局部折射率的增加.  相似文献

在1.5μm光波长,首次研制出质子交换铌酸锂光波导TE0模偏振器。器件由嵌在Ti扩散波导之间的一段质子交换波导构成,器件长度为2mm。实验测得,偏振器的消光比和带尾纤插入损耗分别为42dB和4.3dB。  相似文献

采用一种以五次幂函数为基础所设计的1×4光波导功分器路径,利用中心波长为800 nm、重复频率为75 MHz的飞秒脉冲激光为光源,通过控制三位电动平移台,在Z切割铌酸锂晶体进行横向扫描此路径,在激光功率为270 mW和扫描速度为0.05 mm/s下,制备出1×4光波导功分器,分析了改变扫描速度和扫描次数对波导形成的影响,以及波导形成的原因.实验结果表明:在强激光的各种参量一定时,扫描速度越小,扫描次数越多,波导线宽越大,扫描速度在一定范围内时,波导损耗较低.  相似文献

Z-cut congruent LiNbO3 single crystals were annealed in 95%N2+5%H2 at high temperatures. X-ray diffraction showed that 2θ of (0 0 0 6) peak is obviously reduced by 0.6° and 1.0° for the samples annealed at 600 and 900 °C, respectively. A new peak appears at the high-energy side of O 1s spectrum in X-ray photoelelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses, and the leakage current is greatly increased. It is proposed that hydrogen is incorporated in LiNbO3 single crystals through forming gas annealing at temperatures up to 900 °C and exists in LiNbO3 as a proton bound to an oxygen ion through O-H bond with its electron donated.  相似文献

The EPR g factors g// and g for Ti3+ ions at the trigonal octahedral Li+ sites of LiNbO3 and LiTaO3 crystals are calculated from the third-order perturbation formulas of g factors for 3d1 ion in trigonal symmetry. In the calculations, the crystal-field parameters are obtained from the structural data by using the superposition model. The calculated values are in reasonable agreement with the observed values. LiNbO 3 has been found attractive for lateral field excitation (LFE) applications due to its high piezoelectric coupling. In this paper, bulk acoustic wave propagation properties for LiNbO 3 single crystal excited by a lateral electric field have been investigated using the extended Christoffel-Bechmann method. It is found that the LFE piezoelectric coupling factor for c mode reaches its maximum value of 95.46% when ψ = 0 for both (yxl)-58 and (yxwl)±60 /58 LiNbO 3 . The acoustic wave phase velocity of c mode TSM (thickness shear mode) changes from 3456 m/s to 3983 m/s as a function of ψ. Here ψ represents the angle between the lateral electric field and the crystallographic X-axis in the substrate major surface. A 5 MHz LFE device of (yxl)-58 LiNbO 3 with ψ = 0 was designed and tested in air. A major resonance peak was observed with the motional resistance as low as 17 and the Q-factor value up to 10353. The test result is well in agreement with the theoretical analysis, and suggests that the LFE LiNbO 3 device can be a good platform for high performance resonator or sensor applications.  相似文献

The surface morphology of the ablation craters generated in LiNbO3 by 130 fs laser pulses at 800 nm has been investigated by AFM/SNOM microscopy. The single pulse fluence corresponding to the ablation threshold has been estimated to be ≈1.8 J/cm2.A complex structure including random cone-shaped protrusions is observed inside the ablated crater. The scale of the protrusion spacing is in the submicron range and the heights are typically of a few tens of nanometers. At and outside the crater rim a novel quasi-periodic wave-like topography pattern is observed in both types of microscopy techniques. The average wavelength, that is slightly dependent on pulse fluence, is (500-800 nm) comparable to the light wavelength. This novel topography feature keeps a close similarity with a Fresnel diffraction pattern by an absorbing circular obstacle or impact wave pattern produced by a combination of heat and shock wave (resemble that of impact crater). It is proposed that the obstacle is associated to the strongly nonlinear multiphoton absorption at the peak of the pulse profile. The energy deposited by nonlinear absorption of such profile causes ablation of both the crater and the rippled structure.  相似文献

A general expression for the change in extraordinary refractive index of the annealed proton exchanged LiNbO3 waveguide has been deduced. The expression deduced explains the experimental results of decrease in change of extraordinary refractive index with annealing. The effect of annealing time has also been incorporated following Cao's model (Cao, Ramaswamy, Srivastava, J. Lightwave Technol. 10 (1992) 1302–1313). The concentration profile of protons in the annealed waveguide has been deduced theoretically, which is consistent with the previous results. The spontaneous polarization has been considered as the central mechanism for change in extraordinary refractive index due to proton exchange with annealing.  相似文献

We report on the development of a laser source in the mid-infrared spectral region based on difference-frequency generation (DFG) in a periodically poled LiNbO3 (PPLN) crystal. Continuously tunable coherent radiation from 2.75 to 4.78 μm was produced by optical parametric interaction between a diode-pumped monolithic continuous-wave (CW) Nd:YAG laser operating at 1.064 μm and a CW Ti:Sapphire laser tunable from 767 to 871 nm. Temperature-dependent quasi-phase-matched DFG wavelength acceptance bandwidth was studied and characterized. An empiric formula is given to estimate the phase-matched wavelength acceptance bandwidth as a function of the crystal temperature at Λ = 22.5 μm. A large frequency scan of 128 cm−1 (about 78 cm−1 above 1 μW) near 4.2 μm was achieved. The whole absorption spectrum of the P and R branches of the ν3 band of atmospheric carbon dioxide has been recorded with a single phase-matched frequency scan.  相似文献

This paper investigates the photovoltaic properties of miscut LiNbO 3 single crystal with different thicknesses under irradiation of a 248 nm ultraviolet laser pulse with 20 ns duration without an applied bias.Nanosecond photovoltaic response is observed and faster rise time is obtained in thinner samples.In accord with the 248 nm laser duration,the full width at half maximum of the photovoltaic signals keeps a constant of ~ 20 ns.With decrease of the crystal thickness,the photovoltaic sensitivity was improved rapidly at first and then decreased,and the maximum photovoltage occurred at 0.38 mm-thick single crystal.The present results demonstrate that decreasing the LiNbO3 single crystal thickness can obtain faster response time and improve the photovoltaic sensitivity.  相似文献
