Thep-γ angular correlations in the Be9(d, p, γ)Be10 reaction have been measured in the reaction plane atE d =1.3, 1.5, 1.9, 2.3 and 2.45 MeV for proton anglesθ p =35°, 80° and 120°. The anisotropy of the angular correlations measured forθ p =35° is independent of deuteron energy. A systematic shift of the symmetry axis from the recoil direction has been observed. The shift is 20.5° at Ed=2.45 MeV. The anisotropy decreases with increasing proton angle and vanishes atθ p =120°.  相似文献

Criteria for selecting proton events among the total sequence of events from primary nuclei of cosmic rays with zenith angles θ < 20° are analyzed in the energy region of E 0 ≈ 1016 eV. These criteria are concretized for the case of the SPHERE-2 experiment geometry. The QGSJET-I and QGSJET-II model calculations show that the criteria based on the shape of the transverse distribution of Cherenkov light allow detection of more than 10% of proton events and rejection of 99% nuclear events.  相似文献

The results are presented that were obtained by analyzing arrival directions for cosmic rays that the Yakutsk array for studying extensive air showers recorded between 1974 and 2002 in the energy region E0 ≥ 5 × 1017 eV for zenith angles in the region θ ≤ 60°. It is shown that quasars for which the red shift lies in the region z ≤ 2.5 can be sources of these cosmic rays. Ordered structures are observed in the disposition of quasars and in the cosmic-ray arrival directions. These structures can be associated in one way or another with the large-scale structure of the Universe.  相似文献

The stellar 14O (α, p) 17F reaction is thought to be one of the most important breakout reactions from the Hot CNO cycles into the rp-process in Type I X-ray bursters. In the present work, the properties of proton resonances in 18Ne have been investigated efficiently by utilizing a technique of proton resonant elastic scattering with a 17F radioactive-ion (RI) beam and a thick proton target. A 4.22 MeV/nucleon 17F RI beam, which was produced via a projectile-fragmentation reaction and experiencing a series of energy degradation, was separated by a Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou (RIBLL) and bombarded a (CH2)n target. Energy spectra of the recoiled protons were measured by two sets of ΔE-E silicon telescope at center-of-mass scattering angles of θ c.m. ≈ 175° ± 5°, θ c.m. ≈ 152° ± 8°, respectively. Several proton resonances in 18Ne were observed, and their resonant parameters have been determined by an R-matrix analysis of the differential cross-sections. A doublet structure around 7.10 MeV has been identified and thought to be one state at 7.05 MeV (2+) and another one at 7.12 MeV (4+). The presently calculated total reaction rates of 14O (α, p) 17F are, at least, a factor of 1.2 ~ 1.9 larger than the previous ones in a temperature region of 1.7 ~ 3.0 GK mainly owing to the contribution from the 7.05 MeV (2+) state. This result implies that this breakout reaction may play a more important role than previously expected.  相似文献

Then-γ angular correlation measurements for the Cr53(p, nγ) Mn53 reaction were performed atE p=2.3, 2.4 and 2.5 MeV. The neutron detector was located in the reaction plane atθ n=45?, 90? and 120? and perpendicularly to this plane atθ n=Φ=90?. The experimental results obtained are in good agreement with predictions of the statistical compound-nucleus theory.  相似文献

The microstructural peculiarities of Nb powder and Nb + Al powder mixtures after mechanical activation in a high-energy planetary ball mill were investigated by transmission electron microscopy. The materials revealed two-level structural states: nanograins of size from 50 to 100 nm that contain subgrains of size ~20 nm and less with low-angle misorientation boundaries, elastic lattice curvature gC ij ≈100°…200°μm?1, curl or curvature gradient ij /? r > 100 μm?2 and high (up to 10E μm?1) local stress gradients (couples). An important factor in the formation of the above states is the capability of nano-objects to reach high elastic lattice curvature, high gradients of this curvature, and high local internal stress gradients at rather low absolute values of the internal stress.  相似文献

Experimental results on pion decays obtained with the PIBETA spectrometer at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) are reviewed. For pion beta decay π+ → π0е+ν (πβ), a precision measurement of relative probability yields Г(πβ) = [1.036 ± 0.004(stat) ± 0.004(syst) ± 0.003(π+→е+ν)] × 10–8, which implies Vud = 0.9728(30) for the corresponding element of the Cabibbo–Kobayashi–Maskawa mixing matrix. Using a sample of 65 × 103 events, relative probability of the π+→е+νγ radiative pion decay (RPD) in the kinematic region of Eγ > 10 MeV and θ > 40° is measured as Bexp = 73.86(54) × 10–8. A statistical analysis of measured Ee+ and Eγ distributions for this decay yield the values FV = 0.0258(17) and FA = 0.0117(17) for the pion weak formfactors. Assuming that FV linearly depends on the е+ν invariant mass q2 as FV(q2) = FV(0)(1 + aq2), the slope parameter is extracted as а = 0.10(6). The pion polarizability and neutral-pion lifetime are estimated as αE = 2.78(10) × 10–4 fm3 and τ(π0) = (8.5 ± 1.1) × 10–17 s, respectively. The data for decays π+→ е+ ν and \({\mu ^ + } \to {e^ + }v\bar v\gamma \) have been collected and are being processed. The follow-up PEN experiment aims at reducing the uncertainty on the π+ → е+ ν relative probability by almost an order of magnitude (to 5 × 10–4).  相似文献

At proton energies of 4–9 MeV, trial experimental investigations were performed to confirm the excitation of Gamov–Teller resonance (GTR) 1+ in the compound nucleus 118Sb discovered by B.Ya. Guzhovskiy’s research group in the 117Sn(p,xn) reaction at proton energies of 7.2 MeV (the first component is GTR1) and 9.9MeV (the second component is GTR2). The 117Sn(p,xn) reaction was used, whose neutrons and background neutrons were registered by an all-wave long counter arranged at an angle of 140° to the direction of the proton beam propagation. Simultaneously, along with the registration of neutrons, elastically and inelastically scattered protons at angles of 20° and 160° were registered. At the proton energy equal to ~7.2 MeV, in the excitation functions for 117Sn(p,xn), 117Sn(p,p0), and 117Sn(p,p4)117Sn* (1004.5 keV, 3/2+), a resonance with a width of ≈1.2 MeV having an energy structure was discovered. The energy dependence of the proton polarizationP has been measured for a fixed reaction angle of 52 degrees by p-He4 elastic scattering.P varies rapidly with the deuteron energyE d . The experimental results are in good agreement with the assumption of aJ π = 1? level of the compound nucleus N14 at 11,23 MeV (E d = 1,13 MeV).  相似文献

Differential cross sections have been measured for the small angle scattering ofγ-rays by iron, silver, tantalum, lead and uranium with 17 MeV photons from Li7 (p, γ) Be8 at mean four momentum transfersq of 0·5mc and 1·3mc and with 7 MeV photons from F19(p, αγ)O16 at mean four momentum transfer of 0·5mc. Under these experimental conditions only Compton, Rayleigh and possibly Delbrück scattering are of importance. Extrapolation of known theoretical results to higher energies shows, that Rayleigh and Compton scattering from bound electrons should depend only onq for small angles, smallq and fixedZ. Using this it follows, that at 17 MeV andq≈0·5mc an additional scattering process must be present, which increases with growingZ and which is negligible in the measurements at 17 MeV withq≈1·3mc and at 7 MeV withq≈0·5mc. These results are in qualitative agreement with the approximate theory for Delbrück scattering ofBethe andRohrlich, however experimental cross sections at 17 MeV andq≈0·5mc are about a factor of 1·6 lower than those predicted by this theory. This discrepancy is not unexpected, since exact calculations of Delbrück scattering amplitude fromKessler andZernik at 2·62 MeV and 6·14 MeV show even greater deviations in the same sense.  相似文献

Results are presented that were obtained by analyzing arrival directions for cosmic rays recorded by the Yakutsk array between 1974 and 2001 in the energy range E0=1017.6–17.9 eV for zenith angles in the region θ≤53°. It is shown that their flux consists of two components—an isotropic (about 75%) and a cluster (about 25%) one—that are characterized by sharply different degrees of anisotropy. At E0=1017.7–17.8 eV, the observed showers are found to be strongly correlated with the Supergalaxy plane.  相似文献

An experiment on studying the 28Si(p, p′ γ 0 X)24Mg semicoherent reaction is carried out at the MAG setup on the 1-GeV proton beam of the U-10 ITEP accelerator. Two particles, proton and γ-ray photon, which accompanies the transition of the 24Mg* nucleus from the first excited state to the ground state, are detected. When the events with the proton emission angle from 3° to 6.5° are selected, the following four processes are observed: the direct knockout of a nuclear α cluster by a proton, the formation of a ΔSi isobaric nucleus, the formation of a Δ1232 isobar, and the production of a π 0 meson at rest in the nuclear coordinate system. Theβ-α. angular correlationW(Θ)=1+a cosΘ+cos2 Θ of the decay of Li8 was measured for average electron energies ofE β ≈5 MeV, 11 MeV and 12 MeV. The experiment yields an anisotropyA=(0·0036±0·0011)·E β (MeV)?1. This result is in good agreement with the results of the other groups. The measurements were performed in a counting chamber separated from the activation room simultaneously for two sealer positionsΘ=90° and 180°. The result is discussed in terms of the CVC-theory, taking into account the second forbidden Fermi-matrixelements (‖M1‖) and (‖E2‖).  相似文献

The excitation function for the 40Ar(pγ)41K reaction at the accelerated proton energy E p= 450–2700 keV is studied. Positions of 168 resonances identified as levels of the 41K nucleus are observed in this energy range. The data for the proton energy E p < 1 MeV and E p > 2 MeV are obtained for the first time. Relative yields of γ rays observed in the decay of the resonances are calculated from a comparison with the yield of the calibrating resonance at E p= 1102 keV. Total radiation widths of the resonances are calculated on the basis of the data obtained.  相似文献

The astrophysical S-factor of the reaction T(4He, γ)7Li is measured for the first time at the center of mass energy E cm = 15.7 keV, lower than the energy range of the Standard Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (SBBN) model. The experiment is performed on a Hall pulsed accelerator (TPU, Tomsk). An acceleration pulse length of 10 μs allows one to suppress the background of cosmic radiation and the ambient medium by five orders of magnitude. A beam intensity of ~ 5 × 1014 4He+ ions per pulse allows one to measure an extremely low reaction yield. The yield of γ-quanta with the energies E γ 0 = 2483.7 keV and E γ 1 = 2006.1 keV is registered by NaI(Tl) detectors with the efficiency ε = 0.331 ± 0.026. A method for direct measurement of the background from the chain of reactions T(4He, 4He)T→T(T, 2n)X→(n, γ) and/or (n, n′γ) which ends by neutron activation of materials surrounding the target is proposed and implemented in this study. The value of the astrophysical S-factor of the reaction T(4He, γ)7Li S αt (E cm = 15.7 keV) = 0.091 ± 0.032 keV b provides the choice from the set of experimental data for the astrophysical S αt -factor in favor of experimental data [4] with S αt (E cm = 0) = 0.1067 ± 0.0064 keV b.  相似文献

The experimental single-spin asymmetry (A N ) of charged pions produced in proton-proton and proton-nucleus collisions is analyzed phenomenologically as a function of kinematical variables. It is shown that the c.m. pion threshold energy (E 0 c.m. ) above which |A N | is positive depends on the reaction energy √s and on the particle-production angle θ c.m.. The dependence of the single-spin asymmetry on the kinematical variables in the region specified by the inequalities 0.7 < p T < 2.7 GeV/c and E c.m. > E 0 c.m. exhibits a scaling behavior. The dependence of A N on √s proves to be significant at moderate and low energies. Formulas that make it possible to predict the behavior of A N for charged pions over a broad region of kinematical variables are derived.  相似文献

An experimental search for the superheavy hydrogen isotope 6H was conducted through studying the absorption of stopped π?-mesons by 9Be and 11B nuclei. A structure in the missing mass spectrum caused by the resonance states of 6H was observed in three reaction channels, namely, 9Be(π?, pd)X, 11B(π?, d3He)X, and 11B(π?, p4He)X. The parameters of the lowest state Er=6.6±0.7 MeV and Γ=5.5±2.0 MeV (Er is the resonance energy with respect to the disintegration into the triton and three neutrons) are evidence that 6H is a more weakly bound system than 4H and 5H. Three excited states of 6H were observed. Their resonance levels (E1r=10.7±0.7 MeV, Γ1r=4±2 MeV, E2r=15.3±0.7 MeV, Γ 2r=3±2 MeV, and E3r=21.3±0.4 MeV, Γ3r=3.5±1.0 MeV) are energetically capable of disintegrating into six free nucleons.  相似文献

The energy spectra of photo protons from highly enriched N15 were investigated with the bremsstrahlung from the Heidelberg betatron running at six different endpoint energies between 19 and 30.5 MeV. The protons were detected at 90° to theγ-beam by means of a CsJ-spectrometer with pulse shape discrimination. The energy spectra show pronounced maxima atE p =3.2; 4.6; 9.5 and 13.3 MeV. Proton yields are given as a function of endpoint energy, the yield value atE 0=30.5 MeV being (7.0±0.8) μb/MeV · ster. Because the first excited state in the daughter nucleus C14 lies 6.09 MeV above the groundstate, the cross section for groundstate transitions of the process N15(γ, p)C14 could be derived from the upper 6 MeV of the single proton spectra. The main contribution to the cross section comes from the region between 18 and 26 MeV excitation energy with maxima at 19.5; 20.4; 22.7 and 24.5 MeV. A “pygmy resonance” occurs at 15.2 MeV with further less pronounced structures at 13.6 and 17.0 MeV. The integrated cross section for groundstate transitions up to 30.5 MeV is (22±3) MeVmb assuming isotropic angular distribution. The ratios of protons from transitions to excited states and from the (γ, n p)-reaction to those of groundstate transitions rise from 0.45 atE 0=24.5 MeV to 0.70 atE 0=30.5 MeV.  相似文献

The mean number ?Nb〉 of particles evaporated in the interaction of 22Ne, 32S, and 56Fe nuclei with photoemulsion nuclei was measured as a function of the number of alpha particles emitted within the fragmentation cone. It is found that ?Nb〉 decreases with increasing number of the alpha particles and increases with increasing number of projectile nucleons involved in the interaction with a target nucleus and that ? Nb〉 is a linear function of the excitation energy Eex of the target-nucleus residue. The maximum experimental value of the mean number of evaporated particles is ?Nbmax〉 ? 12–13, which corresponds to Eexc ? 540 ± 60 MeV.  相似文献

The thermal stability of F ion-implanted isolated AlGaN/GaN heterostructures was investigated,with B ion-implanted isolation shown for comparison.The sheet resistance of as-implanted samples with F ions was lower than that with B ions due to enhanced hopping conduction.The leakage current for both implanted samples initially decreased and then increased with increases in post-annealing temperature,indicating a damage-induced isolation mechanism.Leakage reached a minimum value after 400~oC annealing,which was over 10~8times lower than the saturated current(I_(sat))of the as-grown structure,suggesting a successful isolation.After relatively high-temperature annealing,the leakage for F implantation showed a small change,whereas that for B implantation showed significant increase,suggesting that F-implanted isolation exhibited excellent thermal stability.Leakage and F or B ion-implanted samples indicated that the leakage current originated from the region above the high-resistance GaN layer.Variation in E_arevealed that the optimal contributing states for conduction changed with operating temperature,annealing temperature,and ion species.  相似文献
