Sandwich-type supramolecular cation structures of (M(+))([12]crown-4)(2) complexes (M(+) = Li(+), Na(+), K(+), and Rb(+)) were introduced as countercations to the [Ni(dmit)(2)](-) anion, which bears an S = (1)/(2) spin, to form novel magnetic crystals (dmit(2-) = 2-thione-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolate). The zigzag arrangement of Li(+)([12]crown-4)(2) cations in Li(+)([12]crown-4)(2)[Ni(dmit)(2)](-) salt induced weak intermolecular interactions of [Ni(dmit)(2)](-) dimers, whose magnetic spins were isolated from each other. The molecular arrangements of cations and anions in M(+)([12]crown-4)(2)[Ni(dmit)(2)](-) salts (M(+) = Na(+), K(+), and Rb(+)) were isostructural to each other. In the case of Na(+)([12]crown-4)(2)[Ni(dmit)(2)](-), the space group C2/m changed to C2/c with a lowering in temperature from 298 to 100 K. This structural change occurred at 222.5 K as a first-order phase transition. The space group C2/m (T = 298 K) in the salt K(+)([12]crown-4)(2)[Ni(dmit)(2)](-) also changed to C2/c (T = 100 K), which transition occurred at 270 K. Crystal structural analyses at 298 and 100 K revealed changes in both supramolecular cation conformation and [Ni(dmit)(2)](-) anion arrangements. The transition from C2/m to C2/c crystals generated a dipole moment in the Na(+)([12]crown-4)(2) and K(+)([12]crown-4)(2) structures, which were reconstructed to cancel the net dipole moment of the C2/c crystals. These cation transformations led to changes in intermolecular interactions between the [Ni(dmit)(2)](-) anions via structural rearrangements. The crystal structure of C2/c was stabilized in Rb(+)([12]crown-4)(2)[Ni(dmit)(2)](-) at 298 K. The [Ni(dmit)(2)](-) configuration in these salts with the C2/c space group was a one-dimensional uniform chain, which showed the temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility of a one-dimensional linear Heisenberg antiferromagnetic chain.  相似文献

A reinvestigation of the redox behavior of the [Fe(3)(&mgr;(3)-S)(CO)(9)](2)(-) dianion led to the isolation and characterization of the new [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-), as well as the known [Fe(6)S(6)(CO)(12)](2)(-) dianion. As a corollary, new syntheses of the [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](2)(-) dianion are also reported. The [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-) dianion has been obtained by oxidative condensation of [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](2)(-) induced by tropylium and Ag(I) salts or SCl(2), or more straightforwardly through the reaction of [Fe(4)(CO)(13)](2)(-) with SCl(2). The [Fe(6)S(6)(CO)(12)](2)(-) dianion has been isolated as a byproduct of the synthesis of [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](2)(-) and [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-) or by reaction of [Fe(4)(CO)(13)](2)(-) with elemental sulfur. The structures of [N(PPh(3))(2)](2)[Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)] and [N(PPh(3))(2)](2)[Fe(6)S(6)(CO)(12)] were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Crystal data: for [N(PPh(3))(2)](2)[Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)], monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c (No. 14), a = 24.060(5), b = 14.355(6), c = 23.898(13) ?, beta = 90.42(3) degrees, Z = 4; for [N(PPh(3))(2)](2)[Fe(6)S(6)(CO)(12)], monoclinic, space group C2/c (No. 15), a = 34.424(4), b = 14.081(2), c = 19.674(2) ?, beta = 115.72(1) degrees, Z = 4. The new [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-) dianion shows a "bow tie" arrangement of the five metal atoms. The two Fe(3) triangles sharing the central Fe atom are not coplanar and show a dihedral angle of 55.08(3) degrees. Each Fe(3) moiety is capped by a triply bridging sulfide ligand. The 14 carbonyl groups are all terminal; two are bonded to the unique central atom and three to each peripheral iron atom. Protonation of the [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-) dianion gives reversibly rise to the corresponding [HFe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](-) monohydride derivative, which shows an (1)H-NMR signal at delta -21.7 ppm. Its further protonation results in decomposition to mixtures of Fe(2)S(2)(CO)(6) and Fe(3)S(2)(CO)(9), rather than formation of the expected H(2)Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14) dihydride. Exhaustive reduction of [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-) with sodium diphenyl ketyl progressively leads to fragmentation into [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](2)(-) and [Fe(CO)(4)](2)(-), whereas electrochemical, as well as chemical oxidation with silver or tropylium tetrafluoroborate, in dichloromethane, generates the corresponding [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](-) radical anion which exhibits an ESR signal at g = 2.067 at 200 K. The electrochemical studies also indicated the existence of a subsequent one-electron anodic oxidation which possesses features of chemical reversibility in dichloromethane but not in acetonitrile solution. A reexamination of the electrochemical behavior of the [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](2)(-) dianion coupled with ESR monitoring enabled the spectroscopic characterization of the [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](-) radical monoanion and demonstrated its direct involvement in the generation of the [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](n)()(-) (n = 0, 1, 2) system.  相似文献

In contrast to the reactions of Sn(NMe(2))(2) with unfunctionalized primary amines (RNH(2)), which yield the simple imido Sn(II) cubanes [SnNR](4), the reactions of 2-pyridyl or 2-pyrimidinyl amines give the mixed-oxidation-state Sn(II)/Sn(IV) double cubanes [Sn(7)(NR)(8)]. In addition to [Sn(7)[2-N(5-Mepy)](8)] x 2thf (1 x 2thf) (py = pyridine) and [Sn(7)[2-N(pm)](8)] x 0.33thf (2 x 0.33thf) (pm = pyrimidine), which were communicated previously, the syntheses and structures of the new complexes [Sn(7)[2-N(4-Mepm)](8)] x 2thf (3 x 2thf), [Sn(7)[2-N(4,6-Me(2)pm)](8)] x 4thf (4 x 4thf), [Sn(7)[2-N(4-Me-6-MeO-pm)](8)] (5), and [Sn(7)[2-N(4-MeO-6-MeO-pm)](8)] (6) are reported. Model DFT calculations on the reactions of Sn(NMe(2))(2) with 2-pmNH(2) or PhNH(2), producing the cubanes [Sn[2-N(pm)]](4) and [SnNPh](4) (respectively), and the corresponding double cubanes [Sn(7)[2-N(pm)](8)] and [Sn(7)(NPh)(8)], show that the presence of intramolecular Sn...N bonding which spans the cubane halves of the complexes is crucial to the formation of the double-cubane structure.  相似文献

Crystal structure and magnetic properties of Gd(2)([18]crown-6)(2)(OH)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)[Ni(dmit)(2)](2) (dmit(2)(-) = 2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolate) are reported. Gd(3+) ions (S = (7)/(2)) were introduced into the pi-spin network of [Ni(dmit)(2)](-) (S = (1)/(2)) complex as a binuclear supramolecular cation, Gd(2)([18]crown-6)(2)(OH)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2), in which two Gd([18]crown-6) units are bridged with two hydroxide ions. The weak antiferromagnetic interactions between Gd.Gd through hydroxide ions were observed, and [Ni(dmit)(2)](-) formed isolated monomers and dimers in the crystal.  相似文献

A series of new lanthanide thiostannates(IV), [Y(2)(dien)(4)(μ-OH)(2)]Sn(2)S(6) (1, dien = diethyl-enetriamine), (tetaH)(2)[Ln(2)(teta)(2)(tren)(2)(μ-Sn(2)S(6))]Sn(2)S(6) [Ln = Eu (2), Sm (3); teta = triethylenetetramine; tren = tris(2-aminoethyl)amine] and [Eu(2)(tepa)(2)(μ-OH)(2)(μ-Sn(2)S(6))](tepa)(0.5)·H(2)O (4, tepa = tetraethylene-pentamine) were solvothermally synthesized and structurally characterized. 1 consists of a binuclear [Y(2)(dien)(4)(μ(2)-OH)(2)](4+) cation and a discrete dimeric [Sn(2)S(6)](4-) anion. Both 2 and 3 are isostructural and composed of [Ln(2)(teta)(2)(tren)(2)(μ-Sn(2)S(6))](2+) cations, protonated triethylenetetramines (tetaH), and discrete dimeric [Sn(2)S(6)](4-) anions. A Sn(2)S(6)(4-) anion bridges two [Ln(teta)(tren)](3+) cations via the trans-S(t) (t = terminal) atoms to form the first examples of inorganic-organic hybrid thiostannate cations [Ln(2)(teta)(2)(tren)(2)(μ-Sn(2)S(6))](2+). 4 consists of one-dimensional (1-D) neutral chains [Eu(2)(tepa)(2)(μ-OH)(2)(μ-Sn(2)S(6))](n) built up from the linkage of dinuclear complex cations [Eu(2)(tepa)(2)(μ(2)-OH)(2)](4+) and bridging anions [Sn(2)S(6)](4-), free tepa molecules, and lattice water molecules. The present compounds exhibit wide-band gap semiconducting properties with absorption band edges between 2.40 and 2.91 eV.  相似文献

The reaction of LnI(3) x xMeCN (Ln = Gd, Dy) and TCNE (tetracyanoethylene) in acetonitrile forms Ln(2)[C(4)(CN)(8)](3) x xMeCN. These paramagnetic light-colored solids contain the S = 0 octacyanobutandiide dianion, [C(4)(CN)(8)](2-), which upon desolvation of these products forms dark green Ln(TCNE)(3). In these compounds the central C[bond]C sigma bond in [C(4)(CN)(8)](2-) is broken, re-forming S = 1/2 [TCNE]*(-). as evidenced by the color change and the infrared spectra. Ln(TCNE)(3) exhibit coupling between Ln(3+) and [TCNE]*(-) and magnetically order as ferrimagnets at 8.5 (Dy) and 3.5 (Gd) K.  相似文献

Sandwich-type hydrogen-bonded supramolecular dications (DAAz(2+))([18]crown-6)(2) and (DAAz(2+))(dicyclohexane[18]crown-6)(2) (DAAz(2+) = 4,4'-(phenylazophenyl)diammonium) were introduced into [Ni(dmit)(2)](-) anions via a diffusion method to form novel single crystals (DAAz(2+))([18]crown-6)(2)[Ni(dmit)(2)](2) (1) and (DAAz(2+))(dicyclohexane[18]crown-6)(2)[Ni(dmit)(2)](2) (2), respectively, which were characterized based on their crystal structures and magnetic susceptibilities. The molecular assembly structures and its physical properties were expanded in the use of a three component molecular network system. The two ammonium groups (-NH(3)(+)) of the DAAz(2+) dication formed N-H(+)-O hydrogen-bonding interactions with the oxygen atoms of [18]crown-6 and dicyclohexane[18]crown-6. In the case of crystal 1, an alternating π-stacking interaction was observed for the [Ni(dmit)(2)](-) anions, whereas orthogonal linear π-S interactions were detected for crystal 2. Temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibilities of crystals 1 and 2 followed the alternate Heisenberg antiferromagnetic chain (J = -15.8 K) and linear Heisenberg antiferromagnetic chain (J = -13.7 K) models, respectively.  相似文献

Fourier transform polarized IR and Raman spectra of bis(guanidine) zirconium bis(nitrilotriacetate) hydrate single crystal [C(NH(2))(3)](2)[Zr[N(CH(2)COO)(3)](2)](H(2)O) have been measured in the regions 30-4000 and 80-4000 cm(-1) and correlated with X-ray structural data. The factor group analysis has been applied in the discussion of the dichroic dependence of the vibrational modes. The assignment of the internal vibrations for the [Zr(nitrilotriacetate)2]2- complex ion has been based on the ab initio quantum chemical calculations. The usefulness of the studied crystal as Raman laser converter was analyzed basing on the comparison of the spontaneous and stimulated Raman spectra.  相似文献

New precursors to potentially conductive noninteger oxidation state (NIOS) compounds based on metal complexes [ML(2)](n)()(-) [M = Ni, Pd, Pt; L = 5,6-dihydro-1,4-dithiin-2,3-dithiolato (dddt(2)(-)), 5,7-dihydro-1,4,6-trithiin-2,3-dithiolato (dtdt(2)(-)), and 2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolato (dmit(2)(-)); n = 2, 1, 0] have been investigated. Complexes of the series (NR(4))[ML(2)] (R = Me, Et, Bu; L = dddt(2)(-), dtdt(2)(-)) have been isolated and characterized, and the crystal structure of (NBu(4))[Pt(dtdt)(2)] (1) has been determined {1 = C(24)H(44)NPtS(10), a = 12.064(2) ?, b = 17.201(3) ?, c = 16.878(2) ?, beta = 102.22(2) degrees, V = 3423(1) ?(3), monoclinic, P2(1)/n, Z = 4}. Oxidation of these complexes affords the corresponding neutral species [ML(2)](0). Another series of general formula (cation)(n)()[M(dmit)(2)] [cation = PPN(+), BTP(+), and (SMe(y)()Et(3)(-)(y)())(+) with y = 0, 1, 2, and 3, n = 2, 1, M = Ni, Pd] has also been studied. All of these (cation)(n)()[M(dmit)(2)] complexes have been isolated and characterized [with the exception of (cation)[Pd(dmit)(2)] for cation = (SMe(y)()Et(3)(-)(y)())(+)]. The crystal structures of (PPN)[Ni(dmit)(2)].(CH(3))(2)CO (2) and (SMeEt(2))[Ni(dmit)(2)] (3) have been determined {2 = C(45)H(36)NNiS(10)P(2)O, a = 12.310(2) ?, b = 13.328(3) ?, c = 15.850(3) ?, alpha = 108.19(3) degrees, beta = 96.64(2) degrees, gamma = 99.67(2) degrees, V = 2373(1) ?(3), triclinic, P&onemacr;, Z = 2; 3 = C(11)H(13)NiS(11), a = 7.171(9) ?, b = 17.802(3) ?, c = 16.251(3) ?, beta = 94.39(4) degrees, V = 2068(2) ?(3), monoclinic, P2(1)/n, Z = 4} NIOS salts derived from the preceding precursors were obtained by electrochemical oxidation. Electrochemical studies of the [M(dddt)(2)] complexes show that they may be used for the preparation of NIOS radical cation salts and [M(dddt)(2)][M'(dmit)(2)](x)() compounds, but not for the preparation of (cation)[M(dddt)(2)](z)() NIOS radical anion salts. The electrochemical oxidation of the [M(dtdt)(2)](-) complexes always yields the neutral [M(dtdt)(2)](0) species. The crystal structure of [Pt(dddt)(2)][Ni(dmit)(2)](2) (4) has been determined and is consistent with the low compaction powder conductivity (5 x 10(-)(5) S cm(-)(1) at room temperature) {4 = C(20)H(8)Ni(2)PtS(28), a = 20.336(4) ?, b = 7.189(2) ?, c = 14.181(2) ?, beta = 97.16(2) degrees, V = 2057(1) ?(3), monoclinic, C2/m, Z = 2}. The crystal structures of the semiconducting NIOS compounds (BTP)[Ni(dmit)(2)](3) (5) and (SMe(3))[Ni(dmit)(2)](2) (6) have been determined {5 = C(43)H(22)PNi(3)S(30), a = 11.927(2) ?, b = 24.919(2) ?, c = 11.829(3) ?, alpha = 93.11(1) degrees, beta = 110.22(1) degrees, gamma = 83.94(1) degrees, V = 3284(1) ?(3), triclinic, P&onemacr;, Z = 2; 6 = C(15)H(9)Ni(2)S(21), a = 7.882(1) ?, b = 11.603(2) ?, c = 17.731(2) ?, alpha = 77.44(1) degrees, beta = 94.39(1) degrees, gamma = 81.27(1) degrees, V = 1563(1) ?(3), triclinic, P&onemacr;, Z = 2}. The parent compound (SEt(3))[Ni(dmit)(2)](z) (unknown stoichiometry) is also a semiconductor with a single-crystal conductivity at room temperature of 10 S cm(-)(1). By contrast, the single-crystal conductivity at room temperature of (SMeEt(2))[Pd(dmit)(2)](2) (7) is rather high (100 S cm(-)(1)). 7 behaves as a pseudometal down to 150 K and undergoes an irreversible metal-insulator transition below this temperature. The crystal structure of 7 has been determined {7 = C(17)H(13)NPd(2)S(21), a = 7.804(4) ?, b = 36.171(18) ?, c = 6.284(2) ?, alpha = 91.68(4) degrees, beta = 112.08(4) degrees, gamma = 88.79(5) degrees, V = 1643(1) ?(3), triclinic, P&onemacr;, Z = 2}. The electronic structure of (SMeEt(2))[Pd(dmit)(2)](2) (7) and the possible origin of the metal-insulator transition at 150 K are discussed on the basis of tight-binding band structure calculations.  相似文献

Four different cation radical salts are obtained upon electrocrystallization of [Cp(2)W(dmit)] (dmit = 1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5-dithiolato) in the presence of the BF(4)(-), PF(6)(-), Br(-), and [Au(CN)(2)](-) anions. In these formally d(1) cations, the WS(2)C(2) metallacycle is folded along the S···S hinge to different extents in the four salts, an illustration of the noninnocent character of the dithiolate ligand. Structural characteristics and the charge distribution on atoms, for neutral and ionized complexes with various folding angles, were calculated using DFT methods, together with the normal vibrational modes and theoretical Raman spectra. Raman spectra of neutral complex [Cp(2)W(dmit)] and its salts formed with BF(4)(-), AsF(6)(-), PF(6)(-), Br(-), and [Au(CN)(2)](-) anions were measured using the red excitation (λ = 632.8 nm). A correlation between the folding angle of the metallacycle and the Raman spectroscopic properties is analyzed. The bands attributed to the C═C and C-S stretching modes shift toward higher and lower frequencies by about 0.3-0.4 cm(-1) deg(-1), respectively. The solid state structural and magnetic properties of the three salts are analyzed and compared with those of the corresponding molybdenum complexes. Temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility shows the presence of one-dimensional antiferromagnetic interactions in the BF(4)(-), PF(6)(-), and [Au(CN)(2)](-) salts, while an antiferromagnetic ground state is identified in the Br(-) salt below T(Ne?el) = 7 K. Interactions are systematically weaker in the tungsten salts than in the isostructural molybdenum analogs, a consequence of the decreased spin density on the dithiolene ligand in the tungsten complexes.  相似文献

Bis(tetraethylammonium) dodecamethyl-closo-dodecaborate(2-), [NEt(4)](2)[closo-B(12)Me(12)], [NEt(4)](2)2, was prepared employing modified Friedel-Crafts reaction conditions from [NEt(4)](2)[closo-B(12)H(12)], [NEt(4)](2)1, trimethylaluminum, and methyl iodide. The [NEt(4)](2)2 salt provides sufficient solubility in water to allow the synthesis of the important alkali metal salts A(2)2 (A = Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs) using cation-exchange procedures. The solid state structure of colorless [AsPh(4)](2)2 reveals a nearly perfect icosahedral B(12) cluster with B-B bonds ranging from 1.785(3) to 1.807(3) A and B-C bonds of 1.597(3)-1.625(3) A. In contrast, the crystal structure of dark-red [Py(2)CH(2)]2 (obtained from [NEt(4)](2)2 and [Py(2)CH(2)]Br(2)) contains a distorted icosahedral dianion [B-B = 1.740(13)-1.811(14) A, B-C = 1.591(13)-1.704(13) A]. In the [Py(2)CH(2)]2 salt, the dianion 2(2-) and its dipositive dipyridiniomethane counterion form a red charge-transfer complex. One-electron oxidation of 2(2)(-) by ceric(IV) ammonium nitrate affords the blue, air-stable radical [hypercloso-B(12)Me(12)](*-), dodecamethyl-hypercloso-dodecaborate(1-), 2(*-), isolated as the PPN salt. X-ray crystallography reveals that the geometries of the B(12) clusters observed in hypercloso-[PPN]2 and closo-[AsPh(4)](2)2 are identical and essentially undistorted icosahedra. The anion in the [PPN]2 structure contains B-B bonds ranging from 1.784(8) to 1.806(7) A and a range of B-C bonds from 1.596(7) to 1.616(7) A.  相似文献

Metal complexes of dmit and related ligands, such as dmio, have been studied extensively over the last few decades: [dmit](2-) = bis(1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5-dithiolato); [dmio](2-) = bis(1,3-dithiole-2-one-4,5-dithiolato). While much effort has been placed on determining structural properties, very few vigorous spectroscopic studies of these metal complexes have been undertaken. The spectroscopic features of the infrared, Raman and UV-vis spectra, previously reported, have largely been used to characterize compounds. In particular, many details of the electronic structure are still to be revealed. We now report a detailed analysis of the UV-vis spectra of the [M(dmit)](-1) and [M(dmio)](-1) anions, where M = Sb(III) or Bi(III). Experimental spectra were deconvoluted and analysed by several theoretical methodologies, including ab initio CI, TD and CISD calculations. The results led to the assignments of several MLCT/LMCT bands, occurring between 390 and 300 nm, and the confirmation of metal orbital contributions to the HOMO-LUMO boundary.  相似文献

Hydrogen-bonded supramolecular cation assemblies of (NH4+/NH2-NH3+)(crown ether), where the crown ether is [12]crown-4, [15]crown-5, or [18]crown-6, were incorporated into electrically conducting [Ni(dmit)2] salts (dmit2- = 2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolate). (NH4+)([12]crown-4)[Ni(dmit)2]3(CH3CN)2 had a pyramidal shape, while ionic channels were observed in (NH4+)(0.88)([15]crown-5)[Ni(dmit)(2)]2 and (NH4+)(0.70)([18]crown-6)[Ni(dmit)(2)]2. Both (NH4+)(0.88)([15]crown-5) and (NH4+)(0.70)([18]crown-6) contained regularly spaced [Ni(dmit)(2)] stacks formed by N-H.O hydrogen bonding between the oxygen atoms in crown ethers and the NH4+ ion. NH4+ occurred nonstoichiometrically; there were vacant ionic sites in the ionic channels. The ionic radius of NH4+ is larger than the cavity radius of [15]crown-5 and [18]crown-6. Therefore, NH4+ ions could not pass through the cavity and were distributed randomly in the ionic channels. The static disorder caused the conduction electrons to be randomly localized to the [Ni(dmit)2] stacks. Hydrazinium (NH2-NH3+) formed the supramolecular cations in (NH2-NH3+)([12]crown-4)2[Ni(dmit)2]4 and (NH2-NH3+)2([15]crown-5)3[Ni(dmit)2]6, possessing a sandwich and club-sandwich structure, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, these represent the first hydrazinium-crown ether assemblies to be identified in the solid. In the supramolecular cations, hydrogen bonding was detected between the ammonium or the amino protons of NH2-NH3+ and the oxygen atoms of crown ethers. The sandwich-type cations coexisted with the [Ni(dmit)2] dimer stacks. Although the assemblies were typically semiconducting, ferromagnetic interaction (Weiss temperature = +1 K) was detected in the case of (NH2-NH3+)2([15]crown-5)3[Ni(dmit)2]6. The (NH2-NH3+)0.8([18]crown-6)[Ni(dmit)2]2 and (NH4+)0.76([18]crown-6)[Ni(dmit)2]2 crystals were isomorphous. The large and flexible [18]crown-6 allowed for maintaining the same ionic channel structure through replacement of the NH4+ cation by NH2-NH3+.  相似文献

We report results of a theoretical study, based on density functional theory (DFT), on the structural, electronic, optical, and chiroptical properties of small thiolated gold clusters, [Au(n)(SR)(m) (n = 12-15, 16-20; m = 9-12, 12-16)]. Some of these clusters correspond to those recently synthesized with the surfactant-free method. To study the cluster physical properties, we consider two cluster families with Au(6) and Au(8) cores, respectively, covered with dimer [Au(2)(SR)(3)] and trimer [Au(3)(SR)(4)] (CH(3) being the R group) motifs or their combinations. Our DFT calculations show, by comparing the relaxed structures of the [Au(6)[Au(2)(SR)(3)](3)](+), [Au(6)[Au(2)(SR)(3)](2)[Au(3)(SR)(4)]](+), [Au(6)[Au(2)(SR)(3)][Au(3)(SR)(4)](2)](+), and [Au(6)[Au(3)(SR)(4)](3)](+) cationic clusters, that there is an increasing distortion in the Au(6) core as each dimer is replaced by a longer trimer motif. For the clusters in the second family, Au(8)[Au(3)(SR)(4)](4), Au(8)[Au(2)(SR)(3)][Au(3)(SR)(4)](3), Au(8)[Au(2)(SR)(3)](2)[Au(3)(SR)(4)](2), Au(8)[Au(2)(SR)(3)](3)[Au(3)(SR)(4)], and Au(8)[Au(2)(SR)(3)](4), a smaller distortion of the Au(8) core is observed as dimer motifs are substituted by trimer ones. An interesting trend emerging from the present calculations shows that as the number of trimer motifs increases in the protecting layer of both Au(6) and Au(8) cores, the average of the interatomic Au(core)-S distances reduces. This shrinkage in the Au(core)-S distances is correlated with an increase of the cluster HOMO-LUMO (H-L) gap. From these results, it is predicted that a larger number of trimer motifs in the cluster protecting layer would induce larger H-L gaps. By analyzing the electronic transitions that characterize the optical absorption and circular dichroism spectra of the clusters under study, it is observed that the molecular orbitals involved are composed of comparable proportions of orbitals corresponding to atoms forming the cluster core and the protecting dimer and trimer motifs.  相似文献

A series of sulfonate-tagged 1,4-diazabutadiene (DAD(S)) ligands was prepared as salts with typical ionic liquid (IL) cations ([EMIM](+), [BMIM](+), [BMMIM](+), Bu(4)N(+), Bu(3)PMe(+), [Gua-4,4-4,4-4,1](+)). Complexation behaviour of the ligands was investigated by preparing complexes of the types [BMMIM](2)[MCl(2)(DAD(S))] (M = Pd, Pt), [BMMIM][Rh(COD)(DAD(S))] and [BMMIM](2)[Mo(CO)(4)(DAD(S))]. Using UV-Vis spectroscopy, the latter sulfonate-tagged chromophore was shown to be well soluble in the sulfonate IL [BMIM]OTf and completely insoluble in toluene, resulting in perfect immobilization. The crystal structures of [HNEt(3)](2)[2,6-Me(2)-Me-DAD(S)], [BMIM](2)[2,6-Me(2)-Me-DAD(S)], [BMMIM](2)[2,4,6-Me(3)-Me-DAD(S)], [BMMIM](2)[2,6-iPr(2)-Me-DAD(S)] and [HNEt(3)](2)[PdCl(2)(2,6-Me(2)-Me-DAD(S))] were determined. Regarding the diimine fragment, they show geometries similar to the respective non-sulfonated parent compounds.  相似文献

The synthesis of the intramolecularly coordinated heteroleptic organostannylene tungsten pentacarbonyl complexes 4-tBu-2,6-[P(O)(OiPr)(2)](2)C(6)H(2)Sn(X)W(CO)(5) (1, X = Cl; 2, X = F; 3, X = PPh(2)) and of 4-tBu-2,6-[P(O)(OiPr)(2)](2)C(6)H(2)Sn[W(CO)(5)]PPh(2)[W(CO)(5)], 4, are reported. UV-irradiation of compound 4 in tetrahydrofurane serendipitously gave the bis(organostannylene) tungsten tetracarbonyl complex cyclo-O(2)W[OSn(R)](2)W(CO)(4) (R = 4-tBu-2,6-[P(O)(OiPr)(2)](2)C(6)H(2)), 5, that contains an unprecedented W(0)-Sn-O-W(vi) bond sequence. The compounds 1-5 were characterized by means of single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, (1)H, (13)C, (19)F, (31)P, (119)Sn NMR, and IR spectroscopy, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS), and elemental analysis. Compound 4 features a hindered rotation about the Sn-P bond.  相似文献

A supramolecular cation of (m-FAni(+))(DB[18]crown-6), where m-FAni(+) and DB[18]crown-6 denote m-fluoroanilinium(+) and dibenzo[18]crown-6, respectively, which is the polar unit rotating in the ferroelectric crystal of (m-FAni(+))(DB[18]crown-6)[Ni(dmit)(2)](-), was introduced into a ferromagnetic [MnCr(oxalate)(3)](-) salt as the counter cation. The crystal structure of (m-FAni(+))(DB[18]crown-6)[MnCr(oxalate)(3)](-)(CH(3)OH)(CH(3)CN) (1) is constructed from alternating layers of a two-dimensional honeycomb layer of [MnCr(oxalate)(3)](-) and (m-FAni(+))(DB[18]crown-6) supramolecular cations. The anionic layer is composed of Mn(II) and Cr(III) ions with S = 5/2 and S = 3/2 spins, respectively, bridged by the oxalate anions, which show ferromagnetic ordering at 5.5 K. The supramolecular structure is formed through the formation of hydrogen bonds between the ammonium hydrogen atoms of the m-FAni(+) cations and the oxygen atoms of the DB[18]crown-6 cavity. No orientational disorder of the fluorine atoms was observed in our X-ray structural analysis, suggesting that a two-fold flip-flop motion of the m-FAni(+) cations does not occur in the salt. The rotational freedom of the m-FAni(+) cations in the salt is restricted by the steric hindrance from neighbouring DB[18]crown-6 molecules. A design strategy for the rotation in a salt is discussed, based on the volume that the supramolecular cations occupy in the unit cell.  相似文献

Five kinds of (1:1), (1:3), and (2:1) salts of 3-[4-(diethylmethylammonio)phenyl]-1,5-diphenyl-6-oxoverdazyl radical cation [V](+) with M(dmit)(2) anions (M = Ni, Zn, Pd, and Pt, dmit = 1,3-dithiol-2-thione-4,5-dithiolate) ([V](+)[Ni(dmit)(2)](-) (1), [V](+)[Ni(dmit)(2)](3)(-) (2), [V](+)(2)[Zn(dmit)(2)](2-) (3), [V](+)(2)[Pd(dmit)(2)](2-) (4), and [V](+)(2)[Pt(dmit)(2)](2-) (5)) and an iodide salt of [V](+) ([V](+)[I](-) (6)) have been prepared, and the magnetic susceptibilities (chi(M) values) have been measured between 1.8 and 300 K. The chi(M) of the (1:1) Ni salt (1) can be well reproduced by the sum of the contributions from (i) a Curie-Weiss system with a Curie constant (C) of 0.376 K emu/mol and a negative Weiss constant (theta) of -1.5 K and (ii) the one-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnetic alternating chain system with 2J(A-B)/k(B) = -274 K (alternation parameter alpha = J(A-C)/J(A-B) = 0.2). The chi(M) of the (1:3) Ni salt (2) can be well explained by the two-term contributions from (i) the Curie-Weiss system with C = 0.376 K emu/mol and theta = -5.0 K and (ii) the dimer system with 2J/k(B) = -258 K. The magnetic properties of 1 and 2 were discussed based on the results obtained by crystal structure analysis and ESR measurements of 1 and 2. The chi(M) values of the (2:1) Zn, Pd, Pt salts 3, 4, and 5 and [V](+)[I](-) salt 6 follow the Curie-Weiss law with C = 0.723, 0.713, 0.712, and 0.342 K emu/mol and theta = -2.8, -3.1, -2.6, and +0.02 K, respectively, indicating that only the spins of the verdazyl radical cation contribute to the magnetic property of these salts. The salts 1, 3, and 5 are insulators. On the other hand, the conductivity (sigma) of the Ni salt 2 and Pd salt 4 at 20 degrees C was sigma = 8.9 x 10(-2) and 1.3 x 10(-4) S cm(-)(1) with an activation energy E(A) = 0.11 and 0.40 eV, respectively. The salts 2 and 4 are new molecular magnetic semiconductors.  相似文献

Reaction of aqueous AgNO(3) with aqueous M(3)[Cr(ox)(3)] in >or=3:1 molar ratio causes the rapid growth of large, cherry-black, light-stable crystals which are not Ag(3)[Cr(ox)(3)], but [M(0.5)(H(2)O)(3)]@[Ag(2.5)Cr(ox)(3)] (ox(2)(-) = oxalate, C(2)O(4)(2)(-); M = Na, K, Cs, Ag, or mixtures of Ag and a group 1 element). The structure of these crystals contains an invariant channeled framework, with composition [[Ag(2.5)Cr(ox)(3)](-)(0.5)]( infinity ), constructed with [Cr(ox)(3)] coordination units linked by Ag atoms through centrosymmetric [Cr-O(2)C(2)O(2)-Ag](2) double bridges. The framework composition [Ag(2.5)Cr(ox)(3)](-)(0.5) occurs because one Ag is located on a 2-fold axis. Within the channels there is a well-defined and ordered set of six water molecules, strongly hydrogen bonded to each other and some of the oxalate O atoms. This invariant channel plus water structure accommodates group 1 cations, and/or Ag cations, in different locations and in variable proportions, but always coordinated by channel water and some oxalate O atoms. The general formulation of these crystals is therefore [M(x)Ag(0.5-x)(H(2)O)(3)]@[Ag(2.5)Cr(ox)(3)]. Five different crystals with this structure are reported, with compositions 1 Ag(0.5)[Ag(2.5)Cr(ox)(3)](H(2)O)(3), 2 Cs(0.19)Ag(0.31)[Ag(2.5)Cr(ox)(3)](H(2)O)(3), 3 K(0.28)Ag(0.22)[Ag(2.5)Cr(ox)(3)](H(2)O)(3), 4 Cs(0.41)Ag(0.09)[Ag(2.5)Cr(ox)(3)](H(2)O)(3), and 5 Cs(0.43)Ag(0.07) [Ag(2.5)Cr(ox)(3)](H(2)O)(3). All crystallize in space group C2/c, with a approximately 18.4, b approximately 14.6, c approximately 12.3 A, beta approximately 113 degrees. Pure Ag(3)[Cr(ox)(3)](H(2)O)(3), which has the same crystal structure (1), was obtained from water by treating Li(3)[Cr(ox)(3)] with excess AgNO(3). Complete dehydration of all of these compounds occurs between 30 and 100 degrees C, with loss of diffraction, but rehydration by exposure to H(2)O(g) at ambient temperature leads to recovery of the original diffraction pattern. In single crystals, this reversible dehydration-hydration occurs without visually evident crystal change, but with loss of mechanical strength. We postulate a general mechanism for transport of water molecules along the channels, associated with local partial collapses of the channel framework, with concomitant bending but little breaking of the host Ag-O and Cr-O bonds, which is readily reversed.  相似文献

The reaction of three different 1-phenyl and 1,4-diphenyl substituted S-methylisothiosemicarbazides, H(2)[L(1-6)], with Ni(OAc)(2).4H(2)O in ethanol in the presence of air yields six four-coordinate species [Ni(L(1-6)(*))(2)] (1-6) where (L(1-6)(*))(1-) represent the monoanionic pi-radical forms. The crystal structures of the nickel complexes with 1-phenyl derivatives as in 1 reveal a square planar structure trans-[Ni(L(1)(-3)(*))(2)], whereas the corresponding 1,4-diphenyl derivatives are distorted tetrahedral as is demonstrated by X-ray crystallography of [Ni(L(5)(*))(2)] (5) and [Ni(L(6)(*))(2)] (6). Both series of mononuclear complexes possess a diamagnetic ground state. The electronic structures of both series have been elucidated experimentally (electronic spectra magnetization data). The square planar complexes 1-3 consist of a diamagnetic central Ni(II) ion and two strongly antiferromagnetically coupled ligand pi-radicals as has been deduced from correlated ab initio calculations; they are singlet diradicals. The tetrahedral complexes 4-6 consist of a paramagnetic high-spin Ni(II) ion (S(Ni) = 1), which is strongly antiferromagnetically coupled to two ligand pi-radicals. This is clearly revealed by DFT and correlated ab initio calculations. Electrochemically, complexes 1-6 can be reduced to form stable, paramagnetic monoanions [1-6](-) (S = (1)/(2)). The anions [1-3](-) are square planar Ni(II) (d,(8) S(Ni) = 0) species where the excess electron is delocalized over both ligands (class III, ligand mixed valency). In contrast, one-electron reduction of 4, 5, and 6 yields paramagnetic tetrahedral monoanions (S = (1)/(2)). X-band EPR spectroscopy shows that there are two different isomers A and B of each monoanion present in solution. In these anions, the excess electron is localized on one ligand [Ni(II)(L(4-6)(*))(L(4-6))](-) where (L(4-6))(2-) is the closed shell dianion of the ligands H(2)[L(4-6)] as was deduced from their electronic spectra and broken symmetry DFT calculations. Oxidation of 1 and 5 with excess iodine yields octahedral complexes [Ni(II)(L(1,ox))(2)I(2)] (7), [Ni(II)(L(1,ox))(3)](I(3))(2) (8), and trans-[Ni(II)(L(5,ox))(2)(I(3))(2)] (9), which have been characterized by X-ray crystallography; (L(1-)(6,ox)) represent the neutral, two-electron oxidized forms of the corresponding dianions (L(1-6))(2-). The room-temperature structures of complexes 1, 5, and 7 have been described previously in refs 1-5.  相似文献
