Two single-step extraction procedures validated by BCR, extraction with 0.43 mol dm−3 acetic acid and 0.05 mol dm−3 EDTA, are used for assessing bioavailable species of Pb and Cd in soils. After an extensive study of interferences of humic substances and using standard additions procedures, the extractable contents of Pb and Cd have been determined by DPASV directly in soil extracts with a good reproducibility (RSD varied from 1.0 to 7.9 %). Pb(II) and Cd(II) were released from complex in EDTA extracts by pH adjustment to 1 with 1 mol dm−3 HCl. The results were compared with those obtained with atomic absorption spectrometry and indicated reasonable agreement of both methods. Exchangeable forms represented 0.2 to 3.3 % and 13.0 to 63.6 % of total content of Pb and Cd in soils, respectively. EDTA extraction released from soils 7.9 to 29.9 % and 33.5 to 59.6 % of total content of Pb and Cd, respectively.  相似文献

A two-step procedure including appropriate wet-digestions, separation of selenium from interfering ions such as heavy metal ions with pentyl alcohol and anodic stripping voltammetric (ASV) determination of Pb2+, Cu2+ and SeO3 2– is developed. The elements in digested whole blood and serum sample solutions were determined by using a standard addition method. 1 × 10–9 mol/L SeO2– 3, Cu2+ and Pb2+ were successfully determined with relative standard deviations of approximately 1–2% (n = 6–8). A procedure is described in order to determine lead, cadmium and zinc dithizonates by stripping voltammetry. The polarographic analysis is performed in a medium of methanol and benzene (chloroform) in a ratio of 7:1 and in the presence of silver dithizonate. Sodium nitrate was used as a base electrolyte. By carrying out these analytic conditions it is possible to perform directly the stripping voltammetric analysis in benzene (chloroform) solution of extracted dithizonates, without further treatment. Silver nitrate in methanol is added to dithizonates in order to free lead, cadmium, and zinc from their complexes, to be determined polarographically.  相似文献

Samples (ca. 0.3 g) are digested in 10-ml quartz vessels and the same vessel is used for anodic stripping voltammetry. Thus possible contamination during handling and dilution of the decomposed sample solution are avoided. A special design of column placed over the vessel provides digestion under reflux conditions without leakage and a glass cap fitted to another condenser enables the residual mineral acids (especially sulfuric acid) to be boiled out under low pressure conditions. The usual PTFE holder for electrodes and gas tubes is modified to facilitated insertion of the 10-ml vessel underneath. The system was checked on NBS standard reference materials (wheat flour and rice flour) and tested for the determinaton of Cd, Pb and Cu in baby foods. The limits of detection obtained for 3-min decomposition times were 0.3 ng g?1, 4 ng g?1 and 8 ng g?1 for cadmium, lead and copper, respectively. The levels of these elements in various commercial baby foods are given.  相似文献

The simultaneous “in natura” determination of trace Zn, Pb and Cu in whisky samples by anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV), using a hanging mercury drop electrode, without previous treatment or addition of supporting electrolyte is described. The choice of an appropriate stripping voltammetric method and deposition potential minimizes the influence of the organic content and ensures a good reproducibility of the measurements. The reliability of the method was tested comparing the results with those of atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), with differences of about 10%. The method allows the determination of heavy metal ions in the μg L–1 range. Received: 14 August 1997 / Revised: 10 December 1997 / Accepted: 11 December 1997  相似文献

The use of the rotating glassy carbon electrode mercury plated in situ for anodic stripping voltammetry has been investigated. The choice of electrode material is discussed. The effect of instrumental parameters on the stripping response for copper, lead and cadmium in sea water is studied, the results being in accordance with the theory of thin film electrodes. The variation in the observed sensitivity for the three metals in sea water is discussed in terms of complex-forming ligands. Lastly the performance of the film electrode is compared to that of the hanging mercury drop electrode.  相似文献

An electrode for the anodic stripping voltammetric determination of trace lead has been made by coating glassy carbon with a film of Naflon in which a crown ether is incorporated. The sensitivity is increased because of continuous transfer of lead from solution to the electrode surface by complexation with the crown ether and reduction during the deposition period. A detection limit of 5 x 10(-10)M has been obtained by electrodeposition for 3 min. The method is sensitive, simple and relatively rapid, with a relative standard deviation of 8% at the 2 x 10(-9)M level.  相似文献

Anodic stripping voltammetry (a.s.v.) ata mercury film on a glassy carbon working electrode was utilized to determine the amount of antimony from hand swabs. The procedure described is useful for determining 10–120 ng of antimony found in the residue ou the hands of an individual suspected of discharging or handling a firearm. The voltammogram provides an elemental pattern recognizable as gunshot residue containing small amounts of antimony and much larger amounts of copper and lead. The amount of antimony in a variety of gunshot-residue samples was determined by both anodic stripping voltammetry and graphite-furnace atomic absorptiou spectrometry for comparison purposes. Anodic stripping voltammetry is excellent for observation of the multielement pattern which proves to be very useful for gunshot-residue samples.  相似文献

Differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry is used for the simultaneous determination of cadmium, lead and copper in different types of urine samples. Unlike most biological samples, urine can be analyzed directly for cadmium and lead without pretreatment of the sample; a significant increase in sensitivity is obtained if the analysis is carried out at an elevated temperature. The complete decomposition of urine with a mixture of nitric, perchloric and sulphuric acids is also described; this procedure makes it possible to determine copper simultaneously. Good agreement was obtained between the two procedures, and the recovery of metals from spiked samples was satisfactory for both methods. The relative merits of the two approaches are discussed.  相似文献

Differential pulse anodic stripping voltamrnetry and a hanging mercury drop electrode are used for the determination of copper, lead, cadmium and zinc in Norwegian teeth and pure hydroxyapatite. Special attention is given to the choice of decomposition procedure and the determination of the blank values. A complete dissolution of the tooth material and satisfactory blank values can be obtained by using decomposition with nitric acid in a Teflon bomb.  相似文献

The determination of lead, copper and cadmium by anodic stripping voltammetry at a wax-impregnated graphite electrode, pre-plated with mercury, has been investigated. Electrode preparation and cell design are discussed, and the effects of mercury loading and sample pH on electrode sensitivity are described. Detection limits and precision on aqueous samples are reported. Calibration graphs are linear for lead and cadmium, but non-linear for low concentrations of copper. The depression of peak current and shift of peak potential for copper in chloride media are described and an explanation is proposed. Precision and recovery of metal additions are reported for digested samples of whole blood.  相似文献

The effect of various instrumental parameters is investigated and optimized conditions established. The results are in accordance with the theory of differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry. Both a hanging mercury drop electrode, and a rotating glassy carbon electrode mercury plated in situ were used. The best detection limit is obtained with the mercury film electrode, but the hanging mercury drop electrode is more reproducible. The differential pulse stripping technique is compared to linear sweep stripping, and increased sensitivity and better peak separation is demonstrated for the former technique, particularly when a hanging mercury drop electrode is used. However, the differential pulse technique will also improve the detection limit for a mercury film electrode, if the electrode has a non-ideal response with a corresponding high background current.  相似文献

Summary The conditions for the inverse-voltammetric determination of cadmium, lead, and copper in various biological samples after solubilization with Texapon are described. The results of this procedure are compared with those obtained with conventional high- and low-pressure wet digestions. The advantages of the Hg-film electrode as compared to the stationary Hg-electrode are discussed.Dedicated to Prof. Dr. G. An improved method is described for the voltammetric determination of Pb, Cd and Cu in calcium fluoride. A shortening of the time required has been achieved by omitting the removal of the fluoride ions and by measuring blank and sample signals in one and the same solution (before and after adding CaF2). The results were in satisfactory agreement with those obtained by other methods.  相似文献

An anodic stripping voltammetric method has been developed for determination of cadmium, lead, copper and zinc in acetic acid extract of glazed ceramic surfaces. An aliquot of 4% (v/v) acetic acid solution was kept in a ceramic ware for 24 h in the dark, then 10 mL of the extracted solution was placed in a voltammetric cell. The solution was purged with oxygen free nitrogen gas for 3 min before deposition of the metals was carried out by applying a constant potential of −1.20 V versus Ag/AgCl to the hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) for 45 s. A square wave waveform was scanned from −1.20 to 0.15 V and a voltammogram was recorded. A standard addition procedure was used for quantification. Detection limits of 0.25, 0.07, 2.7 and 0.5 μg L−1 for cadmium, lead copper and zinc, respectively, were obtained. Relative standard deviations for 11 replicate determinations of 100 μg L−1 each of all the metals were in the range of 2.8-3.6%. Percentage recoveries obtained by spiking 50 μg L−1 of each metal to the sample solution were in the range of 105-113%. The method was successfully applied to ceramic wares producing in Lampang province of Thailand. It was found that the contents of cadmium, lead, copper and zinc released from the samples were in the range of <0.01-0.16, 0.02-0.45, <0.14 and 0.28-10.36 μg dm−2, respectively, which are lower than the regulated values of the Thai industrial standard. The proposed method is simpler, more convenient and more sensitive than the standard method based on FAAS.  相似文献

A novel chemiluminescence (CL) flow sensor has been developed for the monitoring of iron(III). The analytical reagents involved in the CL reaction, including luminol and hexacyanoferrate(II) were both immobilized on an anion-exchange resin column. When sodium sulfate solution was passed through the column, these two reagents were eluted from the resins and then mixed with an iron(III) stream. By the fast reaction between iron(III) and hexacyanoferrate(II), the complex Prussian Blue was generated, which could catalyse the luminol oxidation by dissolved oxygen in alkaline aqueous solution to produce CL. The CL emission intensity was correlated with the standard iron(III) concentration in the range 0.01-Smgl–1, and the detection limit was 7 × 10–3mgl–1 iron(III). A complete analysis, including sampling and washing, could be performed in l min with a relative standard deviation of less than 5%. The sensor was stable for over 200 times and has been applied successfully to the determination of iron in blood samples.  相似文献

The concentration of trace metals in vegetable oils is an important criterion for the assessment of oil qualities with regard to freshness, keeping properties, storage and their influence on human nutrition and health. In this work, an effective and simple method for the determination of copper and lead in palm oil by stripping chronopotentiometry (SCP) is proposed. The metal ions were concentrated as their amalgams on the glassy carbon surface of a working electrode that was coated with a thin mercury film. An ultrasonic bath was used for the extraction of copper and lead from eleven oil samples using a 1:1 (v/v) mixture of concentrated hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide. Efficient extraction of copper and lead (∼ 100%) was attained after 60 min of ultrasonic pre-treatment. A good correlation between the amount of sample and the time necessary for complete liberation of the metals was observed. The accuracy of the method was evaluated by means of a reference sample of skim milk powder containing trace elements (BCR 151). Quantitative analysis was carried out by the method of standard additions. Good linearity was obtained in the range of the concentrations examined. Detection limits of 13 and 50 ng g− 1 were found for Cu and Pb, respectively, in the palm oil samples. The average values found for the palm oil samples analyzed were in the range of < 0.013-2.67 µg g− 1 for copper and < 0.050-1.82 µg g− 1 for lead. The palm oil samples were also analyzed by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS), demonstrating a very good correlation between the results.  相似文献
